So, here's a master plan that I'm going to yell into the void. I became aware online yesterday that we can pester Disney+ by suggesting Motorcity as a show we'd want on their platform... I did it on all my devices, I got a bunch of friends irl to do it on their devices too. If we bug 'em enough, we might see Motorcity finally come to Disney+. That'll bring this show into the light more, make the active fandom happy, remind the old fans about this show, and maybe gain more fans. The Motorcity fandom innitially seemed sparse after all these years, but I realized that it's just dormant 'cause I keep finding more and more people who miss this show (they just don't post about it anymore). No clue if this will actually work, but I can dream.

I would like to personally thank you because I started Motorcity and it's honestly one of the best things I've seen lately (!!!) also why the heckie isn't it more popular i am Upset
I’m glad you watched it!!! And enjoyed it!!!!! Also there’s actually several reasons why motorcity never got the traction it deserved:
1) Disney kept it on Disney XD (subscription-only channel, less accessible).
2) Disney basically never advertised it.
3) Disney played some wild games with airdate. you know how the steven bombs are spaced out? like that, but on a smaller scale. first few months had an episode every week, then there was an episode every month-ish, then a two month break (for some reason??), then back to one ep for one month, then the last 5 eps were released every week. It was pretty hard to keep up, I remember being in high school and turning on the tv for NEW MOTORCITY!!! and there was no new motorcity :/
4) this doesn’t actually affect traction but the fact that disney aired the episodes out of order REALLY ticks me off. yeah motorcity is vaguely episodic, but motorcity did a good job placing their character-centric eps in a reasonable way; all the burners basically get a focus ep in the first half to introduce them & establish the team dynamic, and disney just screws that over for basically no reason. also chuck’s character arc. really shows off how disney approached the show!
folks have said that disney handled the show like it wanted motorcity to fail, & tbh yeah
AND HERE’S A BIG THING: disney still has the ip for motorcity, so like… Chris Prynoski can’t even take it to another studio or try to do anything with it himself???? disney doesn’t even do anything with motorcity?????? do you see any merch??????? any physical releases???????? because I don’t. there’s been several petitions for like, disney to give/sell/??? back ip, but I haven’t seen it go anywhere.
with the whole #fightformotorcity thing tho, I’m hoping SOMETHING comes of it. we probably won’t get s2, or like, anything big, but a physical release with like….. the unaired pilot….. commentary…… deleted scenes……. that would be nice……

in honour of Whatever The Heck’s Going On Up In That Link, the canon episode order for anyone interested in watching motorcity, straight up the best and most mistreated action property of the entire decade!!
true episode order for motorcity
for those who weren’t part of the original fandom, i’ve noticed a lot of ya’ll are watching in the airing order. what you might not know is that that order is non-canonical, and the creators have an order of their own based on story and production. here it is:

2. Power Trip
3. Ride The Lightning
4. The Duke of Detroit
5. Texas-ify it
6. Off the Rack
7. Blond Thunder
8. Going Dutch
9. Fearless
10. Vendetta
11. Ride of the Fantasy Vans
12. The Duke of Detroit Presents
13. Reunion
14. Like Father Like Daughter
15. Julie and The Amazons
16. Robo Round-up
17. Threat Level: Texas!
18. Mayhem Night
19. Finale Pt. 1: Vega
20. Finale Pt. 2: A Better Tomorrow

I really hope POM’s recent posts are hinting of Motorcity getting re-aired, because if they introduced the show to a new audience AT A EASIER ACCESSIBLE TIMESLOT (such as a streaming service like NETFLIX) then they could see if the show might gain enough attention to be worth continuing.

I used to write fanfiction
Motorcity: Join Me chapter 1
Disclaimer: I do not own Motorcity or the listed characters Title: Join Me Rating: T+ Summary: AU, Chuck and Mike never met in Deluxe; Chuck is leader of the Burners and Mike is still a Kane’s Commander. Despite being enemies, Chuck and Mike find themselves having feelings for each other, but are both too stubborn to leave their sides of Detroit. Pairings: MikexChuck, DutchxTennie Warnings: Don’t read if you don’t like or are triggered by violence or dystopian societies Authors Note: For the sake of the AU to work Chuck is OOC and some events have been slightly changed.
~~~
1: First meeting According to the records of Detroit Deluxe, he officially never existed; and yet he was still public enemy number one. They had him branded as an outlaw and a traitor. Of course he preferred the term ‘rogue genius’, but hey it’s not like he was the one making holographed wanted posters in Deluxe.
Plain and simply, his name was Chuck, leader of the Motorcity gang the Burners; he was of Caucasian descent made obvious by his pale, freckled skin, blonde hair, and maya-blue eyes.
But introductions aside, today he on a mission.
Currently he was at the opening ‘border’ between Motorcity and Deluxe; the charging ports were wide open and the area was being patrolled by Kane soldiers,mostly grunts. The keyword, however, was mostly.
“Okay Michael Chilton, time to die.” Chuck said to himself as he stood quite some distance away, addressing the Commander of Kane’s army who was currently organizing a troop of helmetless grunts. Due to his hacking of his files, Chuck knew pretty much everything about Commander Chilton, from his birthdate to school transcripts and even online shopping habits (Chilton had a strange fascination with cowboy boots). This, however, was the first time Chuck had seen the man, even if from a distance, in person, and he had his slingshot aiming right at him.
Of course Chuck wasn’t actually planning to execute the military head, but he needed to incapacitate him - he knew that today they were planning on a raid to take down Motorcity’s electrical shield, which was the city’s main component of the defense grid, so Chilton had to go down for the time being.
On top of a mostly rundown building, Chuck was lying on his stomach with his sleeve up and trying to get the cursor of his wrist-mounted energy slingshot to line up with Chilton’s head, once it was lined he waited for the right moment. 'Little to the left, no back to the right - perfect’ the blonde rebel thought to himself right as Commander Chilton turned his back, he pulled back the energy sling of his weapon and released it to fire. He calculated the closing distance in his head '200 yards, 100 yards, 50 yerds, 15 yards, 5 yards-’
CHIC!
Right as the energy ball was within three yards of him Chilton made a sudden 180 and whacked the oncoming projectile with a metal staff that retracted out of a skull-shaped module. “Well damn” Chuck muttered a rare swear word as Chilton looked to the direction of the projectile and spotted the Burners leader.
Dark eyes locked with blue ones, but rather than let his missed shot show on his face, Chuck simply smirked and used his hand to make an 'L’-finger symbol on his forehead directed right at Chilton and made a run for it.
Scaling down the rusted fire-escapes of the building, Chuck calculated that given the average speed of Kane technology he had about two minutes before the Kane Soldiers and Chilton would catch up to him.
But that was plenty of time for him '1 minute 45 seconds, 1 minute 44 seconds, 1 minute 43 seconds, 1 minute 42 seconds, one minute 41 seconds, 1 minute forty seconds’ by the time he counted down to one minute and 28 seconds he had made it to the bottom the building and into his car, Blonde Thunder.
He started the car and revved up the engines, and right as the lights came on and the vehicle came alive the head icon of Julie showed up, and he accepted the call, along with calling Dutch, Texas and Jacob.
“What’s going on? Is Chilton out?” Her slightly electronic voice demanded, clearly she had noticed the Kane bots and soldiers heading towards the building and them.
“Chilton noticed and countered my shot.” Chuck said as he started driving off to his team’s direction, keeping an eye on the screen in front of him that displayed a view from the back of his car. “We need to guard the security grid before they close in and blast it, but they lost the element of preparation they originally planned for, and are currently disorganized.” Although he assured this he somewhat doubted it himself, he knew for a fact from tapping and recording phone calls that Chilton had a reputation for back up plans and and improvisation.
Texas chimed in, his head icon appearing as he accepted Chuck’s call “Texas says we should take those Kane-goons head on.”
“No,’ He said simply as Dutch’s head icon appeared also “Texas and Dutch you two guard the grid whilst me and Julie take the bots on” He directed - Texas and Dutch had the most defense and durability while he and Julie had the most weaponry and flexibility comparatively.
“Are you sure Chuck?” Dutch asked, and the mechanical beeps of R.O.T.H were in the background of his audio feed.
“Im sure, besides I have a sneaking suspicious it’s my head that Chilton’s after.” He said as Nine Lives drove up beside him and hound like Kane-bots gained on them.
“Because you fired a shot at him?” Julie inquired.
“Well that and I made the 'L for Losers’ gesture at him.” Chuck stated as-a-matter-of-factly.
His honest response earned him an exasperated sigh out of his female teammate “Seriously dude?”
“I wasn’t intending for a missed shot to bring me down.”
“You just wanted to piss him off didn’t you.”
“Since when did I care about Chilton’s feelings?”
His car suddenly rattled at one of the hound-like Kane bots briefly collided with him, noticeably Blonde Thunder was more affected by a blow than Nine Lives was. Chuck’s vehicle was small and lightweight, and wasn’t as fast or durable compared to his teammates, but that was merely because he prioritized diverse weaponry and precision, a design plan he modelled after the Amazons.
Seeing that he was boxed in on both sides and the back by Kane-bots he pressed a button to activate an oil-slick trap, which made a special formula of industrial strength, anti-friction gel slick out from all sides except the front so he could keep driving, but the three Kane-bots would be be unable to follow.
“Let’s play a game of 'Find Julie’.” He heard from Julie’s audio feed and knew it was a precursor to her creating holograms of Nine Lives to confuse the bots - since the holograms were hard-light the bots wouldn’t be able to sense that they were intangible. Chuck, however, could.
“Julie, break away as much distance between here as you can in a frame of 30 seconds.” Chuck commanded as he stopped Blonde Thunder in its place and flipped a few levers that made several small bombs disperse and appear on his radar. They all dispersed in a distance to where when they detonated it wouldn’t hit Blonde Thunder, but each could detonate and cause a five-yard radius explosion, but so that the bots wouldn’t close in on him he started up Blonde Thunders shield - which used up enough energy that he could only keep it up for a small amount of time before it drained the batteries, in this case he only needed thirty seconds.
He sighed in relief when Julie sped off with her holograms and the bots were too distracted by his stilled vehicle to follow her, and repeatedly tried breaking through Blonde Thunder’s shield.
'4 seconds, 3 seconds, 2 seconds, 1 second-’
BOOM
The explosions went off, devastating all the bots that had clamoured around his shield. He smirked and took the shield down, watching as the hound-like bots fizzed visibly through the dust with disorganized electrical currents and fell to the ground.
Chuck started Blonde Thunder back up and followed the blip on his radar that signalled where Julie was.
“Dude, Chuck, we have a problem.” Dutch suddenly said frantically as his head icon came up again “The bots took a shot at the defense grids power generator.”
“Please tell me they missed.” He almost groaned, already know the answer.
The mechanic retorted, bemused “Would I be calling you if they did? The shield is down! Can you start up the back up generator remotely?”
“I can’t, the back up generator has a manual interface to prevent Deluxe hacking.” Chuck explained, feeling sweat build up slightly under bangs.
“Do you want us to cover you while you start it up?” Dutch offered, Chuck shook his head even though the others couldn’t see it.
“No, I’ll put Blonde Thunder on autopilot and make the Kane forces think I’m still in it while manually starting up the back-up generator.” He explained, already putting Blonde Thunder on 'autopilot’ and put coordinates on for the vehicle, along with a randomizer that would pick random weapons or defense when a anything besides one of his teammates vehicles came close enough.
Curling his body into a ball he pressed a button that made his seat suddenly turn into a hatch and making him fall to the ground under Blonde Thunder as the car sped off with Kane forces following to the coordinates he plugged in beforehand.
Using the dust clouds that Blonde Thunder had kicked up with its wheels to hide himself, Chuck ran towards the direction of the generators, keeping himself hidden behind any structures that came up, considering he was well about 2 kilometers away from the generators.
He kept one of the sleeves of his jacket up so he could summon his slingshot at any time he may need to use it.
When he came close to the back-up generator he could see that Stronghorn and Whiptail were still blasting at the oncoming horde of Kane-bots.
Wiping the sweat off of his forehead with his remaining sleeve, Chuck opened the keypad panel and started plugging in the access code, which was about 25 digits long and he mentally counted it off in his head as he punched it in.
'4745875890-’
“Freeze, Burner.” A sudden juxtaposition came out of nowhere, making the blonde paused as something jabbed his back, he turned around fast to face the source of the interjection.
“Well,” he pretty much deadpanned “isn’t this a nice surprise visit.” the other end of a metal staff beheld none other Commander Michael Chilton.
Greetings Motorcitizens,
You have completed your test, the YouTube video has achieved over 1,000 comments.  It warms my heart to see such an overwhelming outpouring of love from you all, even after such a long time...  It truly brings a tear to my eye.
Now, if I’m not mistaken, I believe I owe you some information.
For those of you that are familiar with the writings of Orson Scott Card, this was what I like to call the ‘Enders Game’ maneuver.  It seemed like it was part of the game, but the test WAS the quest.
So often is the case that outpourings of love and sadness for a show that has ended too soon can feel like screaming into an empty void with no one there to hear the cries.
This time Motorcitizens, I can assure you, though it is quiet, the void is not empty.
They have been listening and we have been heard.  They know we are still here after all these years and thanks to the volume of our roar, an opportunity to allow new fans to find the show is…  Being entertained… so to speak
I wish I could say more, but those of you who have been around long enough know that the only thing I love more than Motorcity is the chance to be vague, cryptic and tricksy.
Needless to say, that woooould be a vital first step in any efforts to reboot the show…. ;)
It’s not over, the #FIGHTFORMOTORCITY continues
I'm contemplating continuing this fanfiction, if anything to continue the #fightformotorcity, problem is for some reason none of my fanfictions show up on search in tumblr.
But I guess I do need to cover some details of this alternate future;
Legacy takes place roughly 25 years after the Genesis Pod incident, Motorcity stands much stronger than before because of the shared effort of protection from all of the gangs, but the threat of Deluxe is still there
The original Burners have had children;
Mike and Chuck got married had two children because scientific advances and artificial wombs (no mpreg): Mitchell "Mitch" Chilton, and Tori "Little T" Chilton.
Dutch married Tennie and they had three children; twin boys Cekis and Carlos Gordy, and a daughter Dana Gordy.
Claire and Foxy didn't get married officially because Claire stayed in Deluxe, but they were a couple and also using future technology had a son born in Deluxe named Theodore aka Teddy.
Julie had a son named Austin "Kameron" Kapulski/Kane.
Texas actually has two known illegitimate children, the two that are known are Fallow, whose mother is Kaia, and Tawny Chilton, whose mother is Capri Chilton. Given his history, he probably has more. Because of his reckless nature, Kaia and Capri both keep their children to themselves and don't get Texas involved, so whether or not Texas even knows he has children is unknown. Everyone else knows, though, mainly because Fallow has some resemblance to him.
The fanfic starts about 3 years after a terrible event called "Hellfire Rain" where Kane did an all-out bot assault on Motorcity, which not only ended in Mike being captured and then imprisoned in a suspension pod, but in the deaths of Chuck, Foxy, No.2/Babs, and Tennie's dad.
Because of this the original Burners were pretty much disbanded;
Claire in her grief refused to ever return to Motorcity along with her son Teddy (wHo eventually defected anyways). Dutch became a full-time Cabler to help support his wife whose was now the leader. Julie stayed in Deluxe full-time trying to prevent a repeat of this incident (silently also biding her time until she could inherit KaneCo)
The 2nd generation of Burners (The Legacy Burners) consist of Mitch Chilton, Kam Kapulski, Dana Gordy, Teddy and Miles Marquis (who is secretly the Duke of Detroits daughter, The Dutchess of Detroit)
Texas and Jacob are still around. Texas is still active but he mostly serves as support/mentor figure to the Legacy Burners. He is also the legal guardian of Mitch and Little T, since Hellfire Rain left them basically orphaned.
Jacob tries his best but he's mostly bedridden these days die to old age and cancer.
Currently the Burners main mission is to try to rescue Mike before Kane can execute him.
About the Legacy Burners;
Mitch: Broody/stoic leader. He is actually the youngest of the group. He is often compared to Mike because of how much he looks like him, but he's more like Chuck in the sense that he's very cautious and always thinks before acting, and he's very technological. His car is Moonstruck, a black wolf-themed rebuild of Mutt.
Miles: Second in command. Oldest Burner, always there to be a more impulsive foil to Mitch. Miles is secretly the Dukes daughter the Dutchess of Detroit, and is also in an arranged engagement with Fallow the Terra. Miles doesn't use a car, but a modified delivery motorbike with red-cheetah motif called Prowler.
Teddy: Teddy is the doctor of the group. No a literal doctor but he was a certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) in Deluxe. As a pacifist he normally stays behind in the Burners HQ for medical support. His car is Sunback, a white honey-badger themed ambulance with monster truck wheels and a large plow in the front.
Kameron: As the secret grandson of Kane himself, he know's he'll inherit Deluxe all day, and for that reason he's got a superiority complex, but loves his friends and Motorcity nonetheless. His car is a green-squid themed Corvette Stingray called Leviathan.
Dana Gordy: Didn't feel like she belonged as a Cabler especially compared to her two golden children older brothers. She isn't as artistic as Dutch or a master electrition like Tennie, but she is a talented Mechanic, and retained just enough of her parents skills to not only fix cars but make them look good also. Her car is Stinger, a purple wasp-themed utility truck.
About other characters;
Kane: Has an artificial heart to increase his lifespan, he is waiting for Moorcity to crumble before killing Mike. Because of how close Kane is to both Julie and Kameron, the orkers at KaneCo (who have no idea she is actually his daughter) think that Kane is Kamerons father, which irks all of them to no end. Kane silently believes that Mike is Kamerons father.
Red: Secondary antogonist, mostly dwells in Motorcity to torment the Legacy Burners. But he seems to be slightly less villainous since Mike has been captured. Still works for Kane.
Little T: Only four years old, she's been so influenced by Texas she acts a lot like him. Her nickname is actually short for "Little Texas" for this reason. She was only a baby when Hellfire Rain happened, so she doesn't remember her parents. Because she was primarily raised by Mitch, she thinks that he is her dad.
Fallow: Kaia's son. He is the the bridge between the Terra's and other Motorcitizens and Kaia's heir. He runs one of the Terra's Cannabis stores. He is also the fiance (arranged) to The Dutchess of Detroit/Miles. His biological father is Texas, and Fallow along with pretty much everyone else knows this but its up for debate whether or not Texas himself knows.
Capri: Runs an old west type bar where Miles frequents at the edge of the Dukes territory (Where his Game show with the original Burners took place). She had her daughter after a one-night stand with Texas.
Tawny: Capri's seven-year-old daughter, and Mitch's and Little T's cousin. Much like her older half-brother Fallow, whether or not Texas knows he's her biological father is up for debate.
Rayon: Still around, has no children.
The Terra's: They have (for the most part) reformed and become active, powerful members of the Motorcity community. Most of the first generation keep to themselves and stay in their original territory, but the second generation are regular Motorcitizens of "Terra Race". The Terra's operate many nature based businesses such as flower shops, veterinary clinics and farmers market stands but their main income is their monopoly on Marijuana. Their affluence rivals the Duke himself. The second generation are only half-terra, because only the females of the original Terra's are fertile.
And that's as much background information as I can give without revealing too much of the plot hope that gets you hyped up.
Motorcity: Legacy, Prologue
Disclaimer: I do not own Motorcity, or the song. Motorcity belongs to Disney, and the song belongs to Iron Maiden Title: Burners Legacy Rating: T-M depending on chapter Summary: He didn’t want to be a carbon copy of his father, but he might have to be in order to rescue him from Deluxe. Pairings: MikexChuck, DutchxTennie, ClairexFoxy, DukexBabs, Juliex?, OCxOC Warnings: Don’t read if you don’t like or are triggered by violence, death or dystopian societies Author’s Note: Some characters you like died.
Prologue: Chilton Be Thy Name
/I’m waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime Reflecting on my past life and it doesn’t have much time Cause at 5 o'clock they take me to the Gallows Pole The sands of time for me are running low/
Deep in Kane Co’s main skyscraper was a secret room. This room never appeared in any of the blueprint archives for the building, and the small square room was lined in a special material that made it electronically undetectable, if scanned it would only appear to be a duplicate of the office room it was adjacent to; it had no apparent entrance or exit besides a door that only appeared to be a door from the inside, on the outside it only looked like a typical wall. Only one person was supposed to know about this room.
What made this room so remarkable, a stark white room, a room no bigger than a small office? The room hosted a single occupant; the centerpiece and sole reason for the existence of this secret room.
