Redna 1

The following Biography would not be possible without the countless donations of various organizations from across the Star. Thank you and may you ever follow that which guides you.

Not much is know about Redna het Cassia. Due to her upbringing as first a non-citizen in Bozja, then a closely monitored ward of Ul'dah meant she did not write much of her experiences down. She was even less inclined to share her feelings with those close too her. It is due too this that many pieces of her life and journey are missing. Even her closest traveling companion outside the Scions lacks even a description beyond name: Prima Rosaline. Not even her race is known. But she is a story for another time. At such time where she is mentioned I will endeavor to do so here. Now what little we do have of the Founder of New Garlemald is from those close too her and the few reports she elected too write down. One fortunate event we have record of is when she began her journey. In addition too Ul'dah and the Immortal Flames, Cassia and her family were under the protection of the then underground Reapers Guild. Although known too the ruling classes of the city state, the majority of Ul'dah and greater Eorzea was not aware of the guilds existence till after the defeat of Gaius van Belsar. Looking back I should have known this would happen sooner or later. Redna is certainly her parents daughter, that's for sure. The bloody bleeding heart of her mother, the nationalism of her father, and the fucking stubborn ass of his. There was no way she would stay under the Flames' damned gaze for long. I'm honestly shocked she lasted the 19 years she did. Although if you asked any guild leader in this accused city they would only sing her praises so maybe that held her back till now. Either way she apparently hit her limit today. She came stomping in demanding I let her go on a proper mission for the Lemures. I told her what I always say. Hell no! The Flames would have my fucking head and her parents besides! Unlike other times where she gritted her teeth and agreed she slammed her palms on my desk! If I wasn't such good friends with her grandsire I would have her fucking hide. She then goes on about how the Empire is on our doorstep and that the city states are doing jack shit about it. That she has to do something to help put a halt too them. I agreed that the Grand Companies are being cowards but there was no way in the Seven Hells would I send her out affiliated with us. it would be a death sentence. She then straightened her back and turned to go stating, 'Then I guess I cant be affiliated with anyone." i just shot back, "If Momodi gives you a license then go ahead but don't expect any help with your mother!" Non-FFXIV post! I've seen some others on here playing Baldur's Gate 3 so this is just to say "Me too! Me too!" This is my character Cassia and that is the facial expression she most often makes. I assume it is either because of her impressive Insight score (so she's just genuinely really skeptical of people) or she is squinting because she needs glasses but won't admit it. She's a cleric of Selune and it appears that the random decision to make her that is very important to the story. I have been greatly surprised and pleased by this!
