Non-FFXIV post! I've seen some others on here playing Baldur's Gate 3 so this is just to say "Me too! Me too!" This is my character Cassia and that is the facial expression she most often makes. I assume it is either because of her impressive Insight score (so she's just genuinely really skeptical of people) or she is squinting because she needs glasses but won't admit it. She's a cleric of Selune and it appears that the random decision to make her that is very important to the story. I have been greatly surprised and pleased by this!

Unbelievable how long it took me to find something for this 😂 Made me realize I need to write a healing snippet for FFXIV, for some reason I barely have any hurt/comfort (in the physical sense) things written so far!

But if I go for succor as "someone coming for help" - here we go.

“Hi boys,” Adriene smiled, giving them a wave as she sauntered towards them. She just hoped Saran would get them away before the slaughter started.

“Nightsiren,” one of them growled, pointing a serated axe at her. “You killed my brother.”

“If I did, he had it coming,” she shrugged, getting into position and letting the darkness inside her rise she needed to kill. “You want to kill me?”

“Not yet,” the man snarled, hefting his axe as took a step forward. “I’ll make you pay for what you did. And then I’ll kill you.”

Here we go, Adriene thought as he started running towards her. “You’re welcome to try,” she murmured.

Before he had reached her, however, the air started to sizzle, and the next second, the ground seemed to open beneath him, rocks slamming into him and throwing him back before they melted back into the ground. A long-forgotten feeling surged through Adriene, the taste of ice and sharpness on her tongue as a barrier laid itself upon her skin. A barrier she knew from back home. Cassia.

She looked back, only to see Layanna already casting another spell while Cassia’s hands glowed with her magic.

“You didn’t think we’d let you do this alone, did you?” she called, a grim look in her eyes, and the darkness inside Adriene eased somewhat.

Saran and Nayan had drawn their weapons and were charging towards her.

“Behind you!” Layanna yelled, and Adriene spun around, avoiding the pirate’s axe in the last second and smashing her elbow into his nose.

The next moment, the fight was in full swing, but instead of the usual cruel hardness, Adriene felt lighter than in a long time. She wasn’t alone.

Alright, look at what @faelavellan did for my beloved FFXIV ot3!

I am completely over the moon with how perfect this turned out and how many details she put in here.

Thank you again and again, every time you create art for me it is so much better than what I imagined and it takes my breath away.

(I’m in the process of doing some writing for them, bits and pieces might pup up over the course of the month here. With this bit being a sort of a tiny prequel.)

i just wanted to remind everyone about my discord server! it’s not just a server for myself and my graphics, but it’s host to wonderful creators like gfx, paletterph, europarph, and more where they post updates about their wips, releases, and commissions!

i also created a where-can-i-find forum for ffxiv modding, and will soon do the same as far as sharing resources for graphic design go!
