what are the steps you make when drawing Alix's hair? ive always had trouble figuring out how her haircut is structured. (its alright if you dont feel like sharing! you can just delete this if that's the case :D )

Alix is a hard one because what is even happening up there, amiright? But I’ll do my best to help!

1. Start with One Smol Bald Snek

2. Start with the first raptor claw from the center of the head to the right. Return to add the hangnail sticking up from the top of the claw.

3. Cross another claw under the first one in the opposite direction.

4. Fill out the hair line with waves. You can do this in any order, but I prefer to start with the outside to define how high and wide the bangs are. Don’t worry about them being even (or making sense) because Alix’s hair is the most nonsensical thing I’ve had to draw...so far.

5. Time for her random ass ponytail. Like Marinette, I draw a fat strawberry and add extra jagged edges, because Alix is a Wild Child.

6. From the top of the head originating from the part, I start going down her head to her neck with small jagged layers. Picture a chicken’s butt. I start with the top curve because I like to go into a downward pointed triangle, and adding the unlayered top to her head makes room for her hat (if I draw it) or gives her hat hair when she’s not. I also like to put some cuts in front of her pony tail.

7. And she’s done! I’d teach you how to draw her hat but I’m still trying to figure that step out.

Nuzlocke Shield Part Five

Part Four

Route 8 part one, with the weird ruins maze part. Nice design for a route, but kind of out of place. This would have looked better nearer Stow-on-Side imo.

Snek - Sandaconda (m) Sand Spit Sassy (SDf up / Spd down) “It's strong willed!”

I also like how much exp you get on this route. Got quite a few levels up just from one end to the other. Though the double battle at the end was a little risky, I still have a big weakness to ground on my team.

Route 8 part two, gosh I wonder what kind of ice Pokemon I will get here.

Sneasel. Dupe. Why can I never run away from Sneasel battles? So annoying. Delibird next. Great.

Quick run through Circhester to Route 9 to see if anything worthwhile pops up there.

I think I’m going to go to Isle of Armour now, and see if there's anything there I can catch that might help balance my team out. Ideally I’m looking for something to fix the Ground weakness I have.

Avery, have you been getting lessons from Hop? You can’t show me “true power” by sending a level 10 Abra against my level 42 Polteageist.

First encounter in Isle of Armour is a Jigglypuff.

Bubblegum - Jigglypuff (f) Cute Charm Timid (Atk up / Spd down) “It likes to relax!”

This is a solid contender to go on my team, given it can learn a wide amount of types.

Soothing wetlands gives me a Happiny. Ooh, this could be good. Let's get it in a Friend or Luxury Ball to help out.

Aubergine - Happiny (f) Serene Grace Hasty (Spd up / Dfc down) “It's proud of it's power!”

I think I’ll replace Jett for now and see how it goes. Blissey could be a massive boost as a good all round Pokemon.

Only took a couple of battles to get the exp needed to evolve Happiny into Chansey. But this led me to a discover I should have known. Chansey (and Blissey) is terrible in game. It has amazing HP but that's it. It doesn't have an attack stat of any kind, and I can't just have something to stall. Let's go back to Circhester and take on the gym.

Hi Hop, good bye Hop.

First trainer is a Snom, not a challenge for Otis. Fell into a pit too, oops.

Second trainer, a Cloyster. Otis doesn’t have any moves that are effective here, so I swap him for Drumroll. Cloyster uses Shell Smash twice instead of any ice attacks and is one-shot by Beating Drum.

Third trainer, Beartic. One Fire Lash doesn’t do enough and he Swaggers. I take the risk and attack again only to strike myself and Beartic follows up with Thrash which leaves me in amber for HP. I swap to Snapper to take the normal damage attack and finish it off with Rock Tomb. I still can’t get over how fast Drednaw is for a rock type.

Didn't fall into a pit this time.

Next trainer has an Avalugg (which I still think looks dumb as hell), but it barely lasts a second with Otis back in play.

THIS one I didn’t fall down, despite the cloudy conditions.

I like Melody, she looks like the kind of woman that has mimosas in the middle of the afternoon and drinks iced coffee in winter, but has a huge fur coat that would smother you and keep you boiling hot.

Anyway. First out is Frosmoth (which my tablet wants to correct to Afro Smith), which just like Snom, doesn’t stand a chance against Otis' fire attacks.

Darmanitan is faster than Otis and leads with Headbutt, but luckily I don’t flinch. Incinerate activates it's Zen Mode but another Headbutt followed by Slash and it's out.

Eiscue is up next, and I switch out to Snapper to hopefully brace against any damage so I can heal up Otis. It uses Freeze Dry which I was not expecting and does heavy damage to Snapper. Rock Tomb lowers its speed and it's on barely any HP, but I can’t risk Snapper still being slower and getting hit again and knocked out.

I still haven’t healed Otis and both Drumroll and Bullseye are weak to Ice, so Chamomile is my only option, having left Jett in a box for Bubblegum to take her place earlier. Chamomile takes the damage well, and I take a turn to heal Otis. Icy Wind lowers my speed again, but I Sucker Punch. It failed and now there's Hail which has restored it's fake head. Icy Wind again, this Pingu wannabe is pissing me off.

Finally, Sucker Punch lands and knocks Eiscue out.

Aw bugger it, a Lapras? Otis isn’t going to be of any use against that.

My options here are slim. Drumroll has poor Special Defence, can I rely on it to tank an ice attack and do enough damage with it's own grass attack? It is faster than Drednaw so it's a possibility.

Bullseye has Body Press that could do heavy damage to Lapras, but he's also lacking special defence and speed.

Chamomile on the other hand has great special defence (in comparison) and has Giga Drain, but currently is in the red for HP and would need a turn to heal before Dynamaxing.

I’m taking a risk, but I’m swapping in Drumroll. Wish us luck.

Oh you damn beauty! Drumroll dynamaxes first and obliterates Lapras with one shot!

I love the Sword and Shield theme music, obviously it's better in Slumbering Weald itself with the howls, but it's still pretty atmospheric here too.

I’m leading with Chamomile which I didn’t realise, but against a Dubwool it can’t hit me with most (maybe even any) of its attacks. I take the opportunity to get a few Nasty Plots in.

Yep, it's using Defence Curl and Growl.

After three Nasty Plots, a single Giga Drain knocks out Dubwool. Snorlax next and it gets the same treatment, but doesn’t quite knock it out. It uses Crunch which does a lot of damage and activates Weak Armour that boosts my speed too.

Inteleon won’t stand a chance against my increased stats, but I’m still going to heal just in case I’m not fast enough to hit first. Inteleon tried to Suck Punch which obviously failed, and I was fast enough to go first on the next turn.

Corviknight might cause a bit of trouble, I’m hoping a Shadow Ball will do some... oh yeah it's just one-shot it again. Never mind, moving on.

Pincurchin. Yeah. Next please. Oh that's it, well thanks for the battle Hop that was actually more fun than I expected it to be.

Back on Route 9, I got my (disappointing) catch so now it's trainer time before I get the bike upgrade. The Hail is really quite annoying.

Ok I’ve got the a Bike upgrade, but I’m going to ride on ahead and come back to the route later to fight all the trainers and item hunt. I want to get to Spikemith first so I can fly back to the Wild Area and hit up the two zones I couldn’t get to before. First up though, it my Outer Spikemuth encounter. A Clobbopus.

Which I promptly KO. Fuck.

Aww man there's a Dhelmise floating around here too. I still haven’t been able to catch one of those on my regular play through (I’m playing on a second account for this nuzlocke). So annoying.

Oh for the love of god, it's a snow storm on Axew's Eye! I'm going to sneak around and spy on what's there and come back another day if I see too many ice types. Yep, just Snover as far as the eye can see (which that storm isn’t very far). I’m am definitely coming back on another day.

Lake of Outrage on the other hand is cloudy, so I'll give that a shot in the dark. My encounter here, after narrowly missing being hit by a Mantyke on the way over, is a Skuntank! I like this Pokemon, I have one on my main play through and as a fan of Poison types in general, she's one of my favourites. I hope I don’t knock her out and I hope she has semi decent stats. Definite contender for a place on the team.

Ok, we are going back to Isle of Armor again, maybe if I can find enough Galarica Twigs I can evolve the Slowpoke I have sat in a box from days ago.

In Loop Lagoon I run into another Clobbopus which I can’t catch again due to the duplicate rules. My second encounter is a Blipibug. Nyeh.

In Courageous Cavern I try to avoid Pokemon while I search for items, but end up slamming head first into a Druddigon. I smack it with a pen attack then toss a Dusk Ball and capture it on the first go.

On Challange Beach I cross through the grass to get to an item and a Magnemite literally appears from nowhere to knock me off my bike. I shouldn’t even have to weaken this thing to catch it, it's so low.

Oh, that's actually a really bad nature for it. The absolute worst nature for it, yet again. Great. Still looking for twigs though.

Biked around damn near everywhere looking for twigs and used a few repels to avoid getting caught. Finally managed to get the eight I needed, along with an absolute shed load of other items.

I've flown back to Hammerlocke to evolve Slowpoke and to have a look at restructuring my team. Let's swap out Drumroll, Snapper and Bubblegum and put in Cyanide, Pina Colada and Ddraig and see where we go from there. Going to need to do a bit of training to get them up to level 45. Cue training montage?

Crowley is babey and also a snek. He is a wibbley wobbley snek. Tries to be sexy bad boy, is just lil wiggly bastard. He is still a good person and **looks around to make sure he and Azzie aren't watching** dare I say... Nice?

Ahhhh this is cute. ----Edge (Uf Papyrus) He most Definitely has a cat. Its fat and fluffy and 100% named Doomfanger because this boi is a dork. Doomfanger is a little ball of spite and hatred with literally everyone outside of you, Red and Edge himself. It can even be pretty pissy around you guys at times. But that isn't often at all. Red (Uf Sans) His pet would probably be some big ass dog, tbh. Like a Rotti. Yeah. His Rottweiler's name is Dust, because its really protective of him and if you try to fuck with him it'll tear your ass to pieces and dust ya. He acts like the dog is a pain in his ass but whenever you come home to find him asleep on the couch the two of them are cuddling. Until Dust jumps up to greet you and scares the shit out of him. Then hes at the door too and practically fighting the dog to be the first to receive your affection. Blackberry (Sf Sans) He has a pet crow named Ink. Crows are remarkably intelligent creatures and he takes great pleasure in having a companion thats almost as cunning as him. Ink can actually be a little bastard, but hes protective of Black and he absolutely adores you. Black cant tell you the number of times hes come back from patrol to find the bundle of feathers sleeping all cuddled against your chest while you watch movies. Mutt (Sf Papyrus) This tol bean has a SNEK. Thats right, a big ass red tail boa thats as long as he is. And hes pretty damn long. With him being as lazy and calm as he is, a pet that requires little effort to take care of like a snake is perfect. Its name is Noodle, because thats about as threatening as it gets. It likes to wrap around him, drape itself over him, weave itself through his ribs and so on. The constant thrumming of his magic is nice and toasty and its drawn to it by its cold blooded nature. Its very affectionate towards him, and will seek him out whenever it knows hes home (yes the brothers let it roam the apartment). It also gets along surprisingly well with Ink and hasn't tried to eat or attack the bird once. ---I have three dogs, they are all my children and I love them. And I freaking love sneks. The precious noodles. I hope this is okay!!!
