dark was many things. like the cinematography was a fucking art form. the writing was super consistent. the soundtrack slapped. the emotions were really vividly portrayed by the cast which was selected IMPECCABLY to line up with their older/younger selves. there were lots of characters but none of them ever felt like they didn’t belong in the story or stood out too much or not enough. the big moments hit hard. the layers were batshit insane. and Yes i did unfortunately whisper “don’t call me don’t come by my house we’re done” out loud after ulrich talks to hannah in the car scene

Lol, since we're talking about this again, let's get down the facts.

1. This is a morally grey situation. Everyone was in the wrong for something

2. Jake was in the wrong for giving into pressure and lying and not confronting Drew prior to episode nine about the bullying. He was not in the wrong for the way he was manipulated for Drew or ignored Hailey

3. Hailey was in the wrong for not hearing Jake out. She was not in the wrong for not believing her former bully, who was only nice to her for less than a month, and was not in the wrong for being emotional when she first heard the audio. It was a betrayal because she felt hurt by someone who she thought finally understood her pain

4. Drew was in the wrong for pressuring Jake and pushing him to belive that Hailey is a bad person. He was not in the wrong for shouting at Jake and believing that all he did was lie to the Jomies.

They're all just teenagers and they make mistakes, but that doesn't take away from the gravity of their flaws.

ever since tbb ended it hasn’t stopped bothering me that the clone operative turned out to be a nobody. after being fed tech theory after tech theory after tech theory, i really thought it was him, or at least someone we know. but now, after all this time, i realized that the clone operative’s purpose as a character was to embody crosshair’s past. crosshair mentions in s3 that he learned how disposable he was to the empire, and if you think about it, cx2 basically took crosshair’s “spot”. in seasons 1 and 2 cross was the one going after the batch and causing havoc, then in s3 we get to see crosshair experience first hand what it feels like being on the other side of that. he’s being haunted by his actions. cx2 was never meant to be tech. tech was put to rest. this clone operative was meant to serve as a ghost of crosshair’s old self. after finally being able to understand this, i can now be at peace. and i can even say that i’m glad there was no face reveal, because that would have taken away some of the effect.
