Btw I did buy an evercade device (the Taito Super Pocket to be specific) and a bunch of cartridges because I have a problem. Though. It’s very nice to have a retro handheld with fully licensed games with a collectible form factor and actual cartridges that I can feel. Plus the carts come in cases with actual manuals. The ergonomics of the super pocket isn’t perfect and it’s def better to play games that only use the dpad and face buttons. But I like the small form factor. Plus. I am kind of using this as a gateway to eventually buy the console version. It’s also nice that the cartridges are compatible between devices.

I need to thank the Evercade for introducing me to such insanely cool games I'd never hear of otherwise, like this game called El Viento, which is a 90s sega genesis anime platformer where you play as a peruvian mystic fighting the mafia in 1920s New York where the mafia, including Al Capone, is trying to resurrect an ancient demon.

You dont get games like this anymore.

HIGHLY recommend picking up the Renovation Collection, it has this game, Valis I and III (no 2 which is weird but im sure thats some sort of licensing issue) and a bunch of other cool looking games

Mitte April wurde angekündigt, dass Tomb Raider 1-3 für die Retro-Konsole Evercade erscheint. Ab heute, dem 30.04.2024, ist die Collection nun vorbestellbar.

Amazon listet die Sammlung, die interessanterweise auf den Titel Tomb Raider Collection I hört, mit einem Veröffentlichungsdatum für den 31. Juli 2024 und einem Preis von 24,99€. Das Evercade-System ist darauf ausgerichtet, Spieler*innen ein Retro-Gaming-Erlebnis zu bieten, daher handelt es sich bei der Collection explizit nicht um die Remaster für Tomb Raider 1-3, welche im Februar bisher exklusiv digital für moderne Plattformen veröffentlicht wurden.
