Pff oh no the bootleg is reproducing now! It is making an army of smol angree seallettes.
Looks like someone went wild with the pet toys that can have puppies or kittens, and it is a cute idea. For anyone curious (and following this blog for learning reasons in addition to the cute!) seals usually only have one baby. There have been a few very rare cases where a seal has had twins! (...and a few cases where one seal will try to pup-nap another seal's baby. Sometimes it's because they get confused and think it's their own baby, other times it's hard to tell what they were thinking.)

Friendly Collaboration Pt.8
Tumblr media
Paring: hokeyplayer!sunghoon × onlyfan!reader
Genre: social media!au; academical rivals; smut
Worming: only fans use; smut (mdni please); swearing; probably grammar mistakes (not English speaker/dyslexic)
Synopsis: Sunghoon get obsessed with a only fan creator he casually find on a stressed day and he truly believes he is in love with her even if he never see her face. He doesn't know that behind the screen is his university rival and he doesn't know what kind of deal they'll make
a.n: I didn't check this chapter so there might be more errors than usual, sorry

Tumblr media
You sit in front of Sunghoon the moment you arrived at the caffé. It’s not that away from your dormitory but is not a place you go out, but apparently he does.
You were scared the moment you read his massages. How does he know? Why he want to talk about it instead of just ignore it? You would had to, you would pretend you know nothing. Why he ask you to see one another? Why he sit there all smiley? What does he mean whit friendly collaboration?
-So, what do you want?- You ask irritated after moment of silence. -Trust me, I’m not happy to do it- -not happy but all smily- -You look so miserable and that’s my joy but what I’m about to ask I’m so disappointed that I have to ask you- You stay silent, he is the one who suppose to talk.
-I have to ask you a favor- He can blackmailed you, but he is the one who need a favor? That’s sims wrong.
-I’m already regretting this- His smile was lost right before he start talking about the favor and now he is massaging his eyes with one hand and start to being actually akward. Straightening his back, little red face, so you make an easy conclusion, the most obvious one.
-I’m not taking your virginity, ask a real prostitute for that- He truly believe you are that type of person? Yes you post photo and video online for money so you can have a little more to buy yourself funny stuff. But you never show your face, never sell your body, never sell yourself.
-I’m not a virgin- He knows you weren’t make fun of him, your serious face was pretty clear about that, but his ego was telling him to clarify that first.
-You ask me how I know that you were queeny- He take a pause, organizing his words. -During truth or dare you take off your close, I recognize the lingerie, I recognize your body- You stair at him more confused then before. You see him when his friends makes fun of him when he get embarrassed and his actions right now remind you of those moments. He is looking at the table and before he talk again both your order arrived. He order you a normal caffè probably the easiest option he could have think off. You never consider to order cause you believe this conversation wasn’t taking this long but the model student was way too self conscious for not choosing his words wisely.
-I saw all of your video- And after this sentence his eyes was on you. Sirius, confident as he wasn’t 10 second before. You wander how much difficult is for him to faking this much.
-I want you to fuck me- You roll your eyes to the sky. That’s exactly what you would not do. -I’m. Not. A. Prostitute-
-I know. You don’t understand what I’m asking you- He takes so much time to said so much nothing. -You want me to fuck you so you don’t talk, I’m not going to do it- You stand up but Sunghoon run in front of you.
-If you accept or not I’m not going to tall around the campus your business. As I already said I’m not threatening you, listen to me- He slowly make you sit to the table again. He told you want he want, you do not agree, so way should you sit and listen? Somehow you were curious about what more shit he is going to said.
-Since the first time I saw your video I wander what you would feels like. I don’t want to fuck you because I’m some kind of perv, I want to fuck you cause I need it. I can’t get it out of my head, it’s like I’m addicted to a drug I never use so I have no idea of how I’m addicted to it. Trust me, I didn’t want to feel this way- And you get he was saying the truth, maybe his serious tone, maybe his eyes looking right inside yours as he can collocate his words inside your head one by one.
-I’m beginning you, I’ll do everything, even film it. A one time collaboration with a real dick, a special. I don’t even want you to pay me. That’s the friendly collaboration I was talking about; I gave you a way for getting more money, you let me try this drug I’m so addicted about so I can detoxify-
His long pause looking for sentences have sense know cause his speech make you consider his idea.

hi :)) I'm going to be finding a houseshare in a few months and it's lowkey stressing me. I think I saw you say you live with housemates so would you be able to talk about the process of getting a house share and like how bills work if you're sharing with strangers and stuff please? Thank you! (feel free to ignore if you don't feel comfy, I understand!)
im sorry youre stressing out 🫂🫂 it can be a really scary and stressful thing to live with strangers in a new place but i can absolutely try and help!! (sorry it got so long its all under the cut)
i can only really talk about my experience with it but if you go online and type in "house shares in [your area]" you'll probably get a few different sites come up with listings that you can go through. they'll normally have pictures of the room and any other communal spaces and the building itself. they'll also list things like how many people there are living there already and whether the landlord lives in the house too (can be a good thing as they'll probably get around to any problems way faster than if they lived elsewhere) the genders of the people living there (some places will list only male/females) and other stuff like utilities etc etc. they'll either list the rent per week or per month so watch out for that and whether bills are included in this varies (mine are included luckily) but most of the time things like water, electricity, gas are included and then maybe the wifi is added on as an extra payment. they will also say what the deposit is and the minimum/maximum stay time. once youve found a place that looks good actually contacting the landlord is easy. they will have ways of contacting them listed and so you just need to phone or text or email saying that youre interested in the room and is it okay if you could book a viewing. they'll show you around and ask you about yourself and this is your opportunity to ask any questions that you might have to. (also check for mould especially when looking in the bathrooms trust me you dont want to live where theres mould.) but just be friendly and polite and try not to worry too much. theyre trying to sell You something they want Your money after all so theyre probably going to be trying to impress you more than you'll be trying to impress them. it doesnt hurt to mention that you have a few other viewings booked if the opportunity to comes up (even if you dont). also dont be afraid to tell them if you are no longer interested afterwards for whatever reason its important to communicate that. when it comes to actually living with strangers it depends how it goes gndhfnhd i dont really talk to the other people i live with and just keep to myself. it can be annoying when people dont clean up after themselves or are noisy late at night or have other bad habits so you have to be prepared to deal with those things but most places will have a groupchat of some sort that you can bring issues up in if they keep happening. it does take a while to get used to living with people you dont know and it can be annoying to not have a bathroom or kitchen to yourself but its definitely a lot more affordable than renting a studio apartment or small flat and isnt the worst thing in the world. i wish you luck on your search and i hope i helped a bit fhshhf if you have any more questions please feel free to shoot me another ask or even a dm if your comfortable with that.

hi! sorry to bother but i had a question about the hypmic lives? i recently got back into the fandom after several years and i wanted to know if there was a general set amount of time we have to wait before the dvds for the lives are for sale? and if its possible to buy any of the previous ones?
hii first of all welcome back to the pit fandom!
you are in the right place with this question bc i definitely know a thing or two about this <- guy who owns multiple copies of every live lol (except the solo lives bc oh god that was expensive)
this'll get long so answer goes under the cut
to start: i am a strong supporter of pirating media you cannot feasibly access otherwise, so don't hesitate to do that. i can't tell you where to actually find the lives online bc i personally do enjoy collecting the physical copies of the lives and throwing my money at the franchise, so i have no idea. but i'm sure they're all out there somewhere if you want to look!
if you are interested in buying them, they'll usually be out within a year of the actual lives taking place. 9th live just released a few weeks back, and 9th live took place nearly a year before that, so sometimes it can be a pretty long wait
10th live may be a somewhat special case because it's the first time we've had multi-angle cameras for the livestream, and i don't know how or if they'll include those on the dvds? i've heard each day is like a 3hr live as well so i'm sure it'll be a big (and pricey) thing even if they don't do anything with the multi-angle camera stuff
in short: i would expect 10th live dvds to be out in about a year, and i would personally guess that they'll cost in the neighborhood of 20k yen at least
(zero out was 16,830 yen on amiami, same price for dvd and bluray, and it seems to me like 10th live is an even bigger live... so i'm expecting it to be more expensive)
if you want to watch 10th live through an official avenue and don't want to wait, it is currently still available for streaming on abema. you can pay for the stream and watch it as many times as you want until the 14th (so there's only a few days left of that) but you'll need a vpn for it to be available in your area (unless you happen to live in japan)
as for the previous lives!
9th live is actually still available on amiami, where i usually get my lives. neither the bluray nor dvd is sold out yet, so you can pick it up that way (but again they are 16,830 yen each)
for older lives, you can generally find them on proxy sites (again, that's only assuming you don't live in japan)
personally i use fromjapan as my proxy. i don't think it's necessarily better than other proxies out there, but it's the one officially affiliated with hypster, which is what i'm mostly buying from lol, so it was just more convenient for me to set up an account there
you can typically find listings for the older lives for quite cheap, sometimes you can even find big lots containing all or most of the lives (usually some cds as well) for a really good price
they also sometimes pop up on mandarake, but won't necessarily be cheapest there
although the prices can be really low (like less than 2k for some lives; for example i just did a quick search and see a copy of six shots for literally only 1,150 yen) keep in mind that there will be shipping! so factor that into your budget as well
one tip on searching, do your searches in japanese (for example search for "ヒプノシスマイク" instead of "hypnosis mic") because sometimes a lot of things don't show up when you search in english. that's the case on fromjapan at least, not sure about other proxies
another tip is do not buy from sites like otaku republic... or whatever it's called, i don't really remember. basically even with expensive overseas shipping, proxies are still so much cheaper, in my experience, than these other sites that mark up prices to absurd rates. like i'll see these english sites selling a doujin for 10,000 yen that you could get for literally 500 yen elsewhere, it's absurd
but ahem yeah tl;dr
10th live dvds should be out in about a year
10th live stream can still be purchased on abema for viewing until the 14th
9th live still available on amiami (possibly elsewhere as well)
older lives best bought through a proxy (fromjapan or whichever you prefer)
keep international shipping in mind if you do not live in japan!
1st live does not exist btw*
2nd and 3rd live are bundled together on one dvd
*like there is no published dvd of it, some footage has been released as part of anniversary celebrations though i'm not sure if that's still available... i'm sure it's somewhere!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!
Like Ok TV started off as literally nothing but advertisements. But in order to create interesting ads, they had to hire creative people.
Eventually there was actual content and ads fell into the background. Now ads are vying for more and more space in front of our eyeballs but even THAT fact has been bastardized in the name of pure profit.
Take Tumblr for example.
I want some Tumblr merch. But what I want is fairly specific. I have a pretty deep love for thigh-highs and specifically "stay-ups" that actually hold themselves up on your legs.
They don't sell them at the moment so I have to rely on their advertising department to tell me if they ever start.
That's what ads are supposed to be for.
BUT
Now that I said "I like thigh-highs", I'm going to get 5000 ads over the next week from every company on earth that could even conceive of selling thigh-highs in an attempt to entice me to buy theirs.
Problem is, I've got plenty of thigh-highs and stay-ups. What I don't have is a TUMBLR version.
So, every attempt by anyone BUT Tumblr to advertise that product to me is just background noise.
These days though, that hardly matters.
Somewhere there was a human that took a picture of that product. They've gotten paid
Somewhere there was a human that created the algorithm to scour my content to find what I may want to buy. They've gotten paid.
Somewhere there's an ad team hunting down the best deals for places to advertise and they made a deal with Tumblr to advertise here. That team has gotten paid.
Tumblr itself uses ad revenue to help run their business. They've gotten paid and they get paid even more if I click around a bit on the ad.
None of this goes a single step towards selling me anything because they're not advertising the very specific thing that I want.
But that's just not the point anymore. It's not the point because somewhere online or IRL the company making the leggings do have actual sales figures. And there exists a person who works to quantify how much of those figures come from online sales and how much comes from brick and mortar stores etc and THAT person has gotten paid.
There's *some* nonzero amount of people who are buying this product online and it Just. Simply. Doesn't. Matter that it's not me
And it doesn't matter what I write on my blog. Whether I'm a furry or a trans female author or a political activist or a bible thumping evangelist. They don't give a shit what I'm doing or what site I'm on. The only thing that matters is the numbers.
They know they can't associate their product with pornography because certain people will get pissed off. They know they can't advertise to children because they have no money. Beyond that nothing matters. So they push and they fight and they lobby lawmakers to ban pornography to "protect the children".
And in the same breath they'll defend nutjobs for their "free-speech" because hateful nonsense is a huge driver of engagement and high engagement drives huge profits.
That's why sites will kick children off, knock you off for posting even the most tame outfit-of-the-day pictures, but won't remove literal nazis. Those nazis are adults and adults are hugely profitable to keep on your site no matter how much people hate you for it.
So no silly fun games because most of the people who use them are unprofitable
No fun for adults cuz adult stuff is unprofitable
But yes to angry posting. Angry posting all the time. Doesn't matter what you're writing just keep writing it! The more everybody is writing the more number go up.
Literally doesn't matter if you ever buy anything. Somebody somewhere is buying something and the more people are online the more number go up.
Disconnect corporate profit from content creation and I'm betting a lot of these problems would just go away on their own. Like Tumblr getting paid by selling merch or important checkmarks instead of showing more and more ads.
The more they can survive all on their own, the more they can kick awful people off their platform and focus on making it fun
What we’ve gotta understand is that “the modern Internet is abolishing spaces for adults” and “the modern Internet is abolishing space for children” are compatible phenomena. Neither group is being favoured: the modern Internet is abolishing spaces for adults (i.e., because grown-up topics aren’t advertiser friendly) and the modern Internet is abolishing spaces for children (i.e., because online communities which consist principally of people who have no money are hard to sell things to). The Internet that contemporary corporate interests are trying to build isn’t a space for anyone – it’s the digital equivalent of an Ikea showroom.

Picasso paintings - Identify than Buy!!!
Tumblr media
Are you an art collector interested in buying a Picasso painting? But before investing in a piece of art from one of the world's most famous and influential artists, Purchasing an original Picasso painting is undoubtedly something to consider; however, it can be challenging to identify what is genuine and what is not. Here are some tips on how to place an actual original Picasso paintings for sale:
Check the Paper's Quality
When looking at a Picasso painting for sale, take time to examine the paper, as that can indicate if it's authentic. Look for classical watermarks since they are usually used by those experienced enough to know better. It's also vital that the paper looks right; it should have that antique-patina look and feel.
Familiarise Yourself with Key Picasso Pieces
To detect a fake, become familiar with the originals of each type of painting style to judge for its authenticity. While researching online won't give you expertise in authenticating these pieces, you will gain some basics about his work which can then inform your decision when presented with a potential purchase opportunity.
Examine Signed prints and Paintings Carefully.
Picasso routinely signed his work, so make sure that the signature matches the one he commonly used ("Picasso"). Some faked Picassos only feature initials or do not even have signatures, so watch out for these telltale signs! Additionally, remember that genuine works always come with well-documented provenance - meaning there should be paperwork detailing ownership history as authenticating documents.
Ask Your Local Art Museum
If your piece may be valuable or authentic - contact or visit your local art museum and ask them questions regarding its characteristics and dating of specific styles/ periods associated with particular works owned by them for comparison purposes. They'll tell you if your piece is similar enough to any original ones they have acquired through their research.
Now let's find the perfect Picasso paintings for sale for you.
Tumblr media
Do Your Research
Before investing in any artwork, research the artist and the piece of art. Understand what makes this artist's works unique and whether they are particularly significant pieces. Consider its condition, any authenticity certificates that come with it, and the seller's reputation.
Check Out Auctions
Auctions are one of the best places to find Picasso paintings for sale. Research upcoming auctions held by reputable galleries, auction houses or online platforms such as Christie's and Sotheby's to look for high-quality Picasso paintings on display.
Go Directly to Dealerships
Another option is to purchase directly from dealers selling prints and original artworks by Picasso. You can also approach private galleries that can arrange sales of paintings now from private collectors or estates.
Look Online
There are numerous websites dedicated exclusively, or partially, to selling Picasso paintings online - from well-known traditional art websites like Amazon Art, Bidsquare or Etsy to those specialises in contemporary art such as Blouin Shop and Paddle8. Make sure you read through descriptions before making a purchase and reviews posted by past buyers for added reassurance about the quality and authenticity of the artwork sold by these vendors.
Visit Museum Shops
Additionally, local and international museum shops usually carry a large selection of high-end prints & other products from famous artists like Pablo Picasso available for purchase. If you don't have the budget to afford originals, then there are always prints & smaller items inspired by his work which are still worth owning & will look great in any home decor! Finally, if all else fails, why not consider approaching a charity shop? There is often hidden treasure hidden away amongst used goods, so if you ever stumble onto something unique, it could be a real bargain buy!

Oh my goodness this took forever cause I had to wait on stickers to come in but I finally got this guy all painted up. MPM Ratchet was perhaps my favorite figure from the Masterpiece line in general just cause of how nicely complex he was with his transformation and how accurate he looked in both modes. Until it came to the paint. Good God was he in sore need of paint, mainly in uh.....well everywhere. And paint him I did, but not before debating with myself for about a week as to paint him or not as I wanted to get one of the knockoffs and just work on that a bit mainly due to A. Not wanting to try and get or make the right yellow-green his primary color is. B. Didn't want to paint the rubber bits as painting rubber usually sucks ass and I didn't want to just sharpie it. C. As a MP figure he is rather expensive and if I wanted to ever sell him I would not be able to get full value for it. But what ultimately made me paint it was the fact that he was missing on of said rubber bits from his legs (that's like a pole sticking out) and that alone would probably keep this from being resold as highest a price as possible so yeh. Now he's worth probably $10 cause I butchered this figure :D
The primary color is a Color Shift Green Flash I found at Walmart whilst on my last leg on sanity after trying to mix a good color for him for a day and I instantly fell in love with it. Might be a bit more green than yellow but it works for me.
The life lines and more extravagant features I was able to pull off thanks to the Toyhax Voyager Ratchet stickers for the 2007 Voyager figure which work VERY well on this one, in that you can probably use all of the stickers on this figure and they'll pretty much match up aside from a few areas. The areas these stickers helped the most were the arms. And my goodness they look so much better with just them on. The legs also look better with black and silver breaking them up instead of just lime all throughout.
The missing pipe I had a difficult time figuring out, as I initially wanted to 3D print replacements for them and the black segments of his arms to get rid of all rubber pieces but was having some issues with my printer and I was able to find another method by taking an old wire coat hanger and cutting it down to size and shaving away at it to create two mostly similar pipes and glued them into place. For the arm grilles, I took a new approach and spray painted them black, and gave them a clear coat, which does seem to have worked for the most part but I will need to keep an eye on them as even though those have been done for about a month now, I'm still worried about them getting sticky or whatnot in the future. But they seem to be good for now so only time will tell.
The red lightbar, the simplest of things that should've been done with the mold originally was just create a little cut in the plastic between the bar and the light so that they rotate separately from each other and makes his physique look more slim. Also sanded and shaved parts of the hinges on the vehicle sides so that the paint and stickers don't rub off.
The accessories, where pretty easy lol. The gun was difficult in trying to get colors to line up correctly (though I might have the silver and black swapped but oh well), the missiles which I found out through looking at stills of him in the films he actually does have on his left arm, though he doesn't seem to use them interestingly enough, was just silver and black. And the saw was just black with rubbing a lot of it off and around so it's not as flat looking. Guess I should also mention with the ports in his arms that the gun and saw can tab into I spray painted as well and coated so they can last longer.
The "Search & Rescue" on his hood and back, along with the "Fire Department" on his back I took from pictures of the vehicle prop online and edited to be straight and sized as best I could and they work pretty well I think, with the hood one having to be painted over its letters with Color Shift Yellow Flash to give them a better pop. Will probably work on it a bit more than post a thing for it so anyone can use it themselves if they want to.
Overall, this is probably my favorite custom to date just cause of the shineyness of it, and that it makes a fantastic mold look so much better cause this is what we should've gotten from Hasbro (tooting my own horn here cause I'm proud of it) and Hasbro do better.

Raleigh Apartment Culture
So I'm of the mind that Raleigh is a great place to live. It has my favorite things, my favorite people, and I'm too broke to move anywhere else.
Raleigh works for me, but I recognize it doesn't work for everyone. Some people had less than ideal childhoods and wanna escape the state ASAP, some just want to live closer to their dream jobs or have new opportunities. That's all fine, but what if this describes where you are now?
What if, for the sake of argument, you're outside of NC and wanna move in? Moving is expensive, time-consuming, and risky at the best of times; so you wanna make sure that wherever you're landing is at least as good as where you started 90% of the time
"But RL," I hear you say, "you make Raleigh sound like an idyllic dreamscape populated with parks and a diverse kumbayah of peoples living in harmony"
I do talk about Raleigh in a positive light but, like a life saving medicine flavored like ass, sometimes you have to take the good with the bad.
So before you spend thousands of dollars on moving vans, boxes, and grits; here's a crash course on what it's like living in a Raleigh apartment, coming from someone whose majority of Raleigh Living (heh) has been in apartments.
Tumblr media
First off, location. Any realtor will tell you that location is 80% of the sale to sound profound, and as anyone who has lived in the middle of ass-backward nowhere can tell you: It sucks having to drive 30 minutes to go anywhere.
Good news: With the Raleigh Beltline and connecting roads, there are very few places in Raleigh where your trip will last longer than thirty minutes one-way. Bad News: where you set down still matters because cutting down on travel is important for car and mental health.
North Raleigh is different from south Raleigh is different from northwest Raleigh, and the locals aren't the only difference you'll find between locations. Each segment of Raleigh has something to offer, with easier access to some attractions than others and neighboring cities for when you need something outside the RDU area.
Tumblr media
Using downtown as the center of our wheel, people generally divide Raleigh into North and South Raleigh (with distinction given for NW, SE, NE, etc when needed). N.Raleigh is considered generally more upscale, a slice of suburban living interspersed with plenty of shopping centers for families and the moderately wealthy; but it's boring as all hell.
Want some fun? Excitement in the evenings and a more traditional urban experience with bars, night clubs, strip clubs, and more? South Raleigh is your best bet, at the cost of being the "sketchy" side of Raleigh. That kind of place where you'll see a bunch of auto shops that look abandoned but haven't been closed in the past 5 years and there's at least one customer from time to time.
Of course, this is a lot of generalizing but you'll find that it's still mostly accurate. The main exception in this is Capital Blvd, a highway cutting across north and south Raleigh on the eastern half of the city; a high crime corridor that's undergoing some changes in the northern half that have (somewhat) reduced crime but most people will still associate that area with the majority of Raleigh's crime and debauchery.
Tumblr media
More importantly, is the distinction Raleigh citizens put on inside the beltline versus outside the beltline. The I-440 and 540 highways that wrap around Downtown form the mythical beltline, and to a degree what you have access to. Inside the beltline is the majority of workplaces, stores, and shopping centers; while outside you'll still have these things just to a more... dispersed extent.
North Raleigh actually kinda exemplifies this perfectly. Living inside the beltline, you have access to places like North Hills, Crabtree Valley mall, and Triangle Town Center. Live outside the beltline, like I currently am, and you're looking at 10 to 15 minutes to the nearest sheetz for that late night double hot dog fix.
So for point one: How important is it that you're near things? The majority of apartments and rental properties are in or around the belt-line, but if you want to save some cash on rent checks the cheaper properties are gonna extend your trips a bit.
Tumblr media
Next, what can you expect in terms of neighbors? Does Raleigh have a hip party scene full of teens renting cheap apartments and blasting trap music at 3AM?
Depends on where you live
I swear not every point is going to be this, but there's an important distinction this time that affects the type of people your complex will likely have surrounding you; are you in North or South Raleigh?
North Raleigh has a ton of pre-schools, k-12 public schools (Leesville, Hillburn, Lead Mine, just to name a few), and office complexes that make up the job market. As a result the majority of apartment renters in north Raleigh tend to be families with a few small kids or so.
As a result, living off of Glenwood North and Edwards Mill I never had any noise problems from neighbors, the worst being kids playing outside at 3PM sounding like they were being murdered (which apparently is a common thing and I apologize to any neighbors I frightened with ghastly shrieks).
Tumblr media
What I did have a problem with, however, was the typical Karen's you hear people complain about online. Renting a property now, we have access to our neighborhood's NextDoor page and it's hilarious sometimes to go on and read the comments, but living at a certain property we had a sort of mini-Facebook for residents
That thing was always full of either people who were moving out looking to sell their furniture or people passive-aggressively challenging each other/the apartment managers with comments about things happening around the complex.
Once I logged in to see one man accuse another, without ever actually accusing someone specific ("I know who did it and they should be ashamed" type post) of putting glass beer bottles under the tires of his truck to try and puncture them. Everyone acts civil in public, but then online they'll stir the pot harder than a chef with a hand mixer.
Tumblr media
South Raleigh, you have the schools like Shaw University, Meredith, and NCSU; so the people renting down there are typically college kids. You'll see more apartments that cater towards them like University Village or University Woods, but sometimes these places will cater to both college kids and working adults
Avoid these places like the plague, because despite sometimes having a lower cost to live there the neighbors and their shenanigans will drive you up the wall (unless you're the type to join in, then go wild).
I've had friends stay at places like University Village and The Proper (formerly The Vie, formerly Wolf Creek) who've shared horror stories. 3AM parties ending in property damage or vomit in inconvenient places, drug deals not even trying to be subtle, and maintenance workers doing nothing because regardless of the apartment conditions; no school's gonna pull their contract with them unless news articles start getting written.

Otherwise, south Raleigh apartments are largely like north Raleigh apartments; except the crime rate tends to be a little higher and you'll run into more singles and people working full time.
Tumblr media
Otherwise, Raleigh apartment culture is like apartment culture anywhere else in the country. You have a mix of apartments catering to those just looking to live versus more ostentatious luxury apartments with fancy pools, exercise facilities, and tech packages to draw people in.
If you're renting in Raleigh, however, do try to get a roommate or two if you can manage. Even with a decent job paying 800+ on a one bedroom one bath apartment can be exhausting at best, but with even one other person that can functionally halve your expenses
Tumblr media
So if you're a young professional, or a student, or even if you have a small family, I can safely recommend renting in Raleigh. There's plenty of places that'll accommodate you, and cater towards your needs.
But what about everyone else? Are there people who shouldn't rent in Raleigh?
No
But there are groups who I'd seriously ask to consider their other choices before picking Raleigh as a destination for their new home.
Tumblr media
For instance, are you a member of the LGBT community? A trans or non-binary individual? Well then, first off, I want you to know that you're loved and valid. I'm accepting of who you are and appreciate everyone's right to identify how they choose, but I'm not everyone.
Raleigh's bluer than other parts of North Carolina, as I've stated in other blog write-ups, but it's still part of North Carolina unfortunately and as a result, you'll face some challenges.
I doubt anyone's gonna burn a cross in your yard or knock over your mailbox, but Raleigh doesn't offer LGBT protections for housing, jobs, or credit/lending discriminations according to the Movement Advancement Project's website.
We have support organizations for LGBT and NB individuals, plenty of high schools and colleges have Gay-Straight Alliance clubs, and there are numerous businesses downtown that cater specifically to those individuals... but we're also the state that got into a lot of hot water because of a stupid bathroom bill, and our politicians are trying to pass anti-trans sports legislation (because they now magically care about the integrity of womens sports).
By that measure, but to a lesser extent, if you fall outside the Liberal/Conservative political spectrum then be prepared to have no one to discuss your politics with outside of a few sparse networks like the DSA.
Tumblr media
Additionally, if you don't have someone to room with or a significant other to split costs with; you may want to try searching somewhere a little cheaper.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Raleigh housing prices aren't terrible for a major metropolitan city, but we're not the best prices in the world.
You can get prices on apartments and rentals lower than say, California or New York. However, compared to other parts of NC like Greensboro or Garner; rentals are still a bit much.
On average, a Raleigh apartment can run you about $900 for a single bedroom and a single bathroom. You can find cheaper, but often times there's some risk associated (Crime levels, quality of the room, quality of the property manager, etc.) Looking for a two bedroom? Then your average price is gonna jump up to around $1,200, and this is all before utilities and cable come into play.
It's true a lot of companies around here will pay more than the $7.25 minimum wage, but most low-skilled jobs will pay around 10-11 an hour.
I guess though, that's kind of an obvious statement. "Don't live in Raleigh if you can't afford to live in Raleigh."
I might expand on these thoughts at a later time, but hopefully for now I've given you some food for thought; or at the very least an entertaining read for a few minutes.
I love my city, and I love the friends I've made in it, but the sad truth is that nowhere is perfect for everyone; leastways Raleigh. If Raleigh sounds like the kind of place you'd like to live in, at least take a day trip to come visit and see how things go that way. Visit some stores, meet some locals, and form an opinion off of more than travel blogs and youtube videos.

Hey Soni, I am new to the fandom and you are one of the few people in the fandom I know from India, so can you tell me where I can buy nice and affordable Harry/Louis merch in India? Like thrift stores or something? Thanks! (P.S. I love your blog, will come off anon to talk to you once my socially awkward ass finds it okay haha!!)
hi there!! ♥️ first of all thank you for being so kind and lovely 🥺 also please feel free to come and talk to me anytime ♥️
(this got a bit long so i'll put it under the cut)
right so, i'll give you a bunch of options for harry/louis merch :
1. fan merch shops!! there are so many people on instagram from india who run good quality fan merch shops and some of them are even willing to customise according to your preferences too! a couple of my friends run fan merch shops, but they are mainly bts fans. however it'll be easy to find on instagram because the search function over there is actually better (i'll try to find a few accounts for you and edit this post later with info) you'll actually get good designs that'll be embroidered instead of printed!
2. one other thing you could do, that's very cheap and affordable is just go look for designs on tumblr or pinterest (with credit to the creator of course) and select whatever you decide. i know there's many people on tumblr itself who put up like pngs and stuff of harry and louis' merch designs, just ask for their permission if you could use their designs. i'm pretty sure you know those shops that are like photo studios and printing places where they make customised mugs and stuff? like they'll print what you want on a mug and stuff? yeah so those kinda places also print on clothes so what you could do is just go there with like a plain hoodie of whichever colour you want and ask them to print your design out for you! you can either go look for hoodies on amazon/flipkart where they have like combo deals and sell two hoodies for like 400-600 or you can buy a proper hoodie from a local shop or myntra or something. the printing won't cost you much at all!
3. i used to do a lot of events and so we needed crew shirts and stuff and so i knew a lot of businesses that gave us really good quality shirts and hoodies with the designs that we wanted for very cheap (because we used to buy it in bulk i've gotten shirts for as low as 80-100 bucks and hoodies for 150-200 bucks each but since you'll be buying one or two you'll have to pay a bit more but it shouldn't cost you more than 500-700) you can find these businesses anywhere!! i don't know if you're in school/college or if you do something else, but like if you're in school/college then you can just ask the people there who do events and stuff for contacts for these businesses. i went to college in bangalore, so i have a couple of contacts from there that i could share with you (maybe you can call them up and ask if they could post it to your location?) but other than that you can also try to look for these businesses online or just google 'customised hoodie shops in my city' and you'll get a bunch of options!
i really hope this helped you! please feel free to ask me any questions you have!! ♥️

Are you tired of your job?
Feel like firing your boss?
Ready too learn to do something new?
Want to work for yourself?
Set your own hours?
Work online?
From home with family?
Work a few hours while on vacation?
Well, that's what i finally have found.
28 years of searching systems online that never seemed to work for me. Spent thousands of dollars in research and finally i found a group of people who are doing just that and are willing to give detailed instructions on how to do it just like they are. They give me instruction on how to keep up to date with the changes that I will need to be aware of in order to stay on top of the changing online Market. They have given me knowledge so quickly that I really cannot even believe it. And it is working already.
I've driven a truck for about 28 years after I sold a pest control company in Phoenix Arizona area in a little town called Maricopa. You can check it out, R&R pest control. My wife at the time and I sold that business and move back to Illinois to be around family because her mother was very sick and family matters more than pretty much anything else on this planet.
Well, it wasn't long and the divorce came. Wasn't seeing that spin of fate. But I live through it and after a little bout with depression and staying home locked in my room with groceries brought by friends, I manned up and stepped out into the world again and the first place I went to apply was for truck driving.
My goal was to work it for a year and enjoy it and save money and start a new business. But I never quite found exactly what I was looking for. I found a lot of things that sounded good, but they just didn't seem to work for me for whatever reason. I could give all the names of all these different things that I've tried, however it doesn't really matter. In the end, they just did not work for me. You might be feeling the same thing.
Well this company started me out inexpensively, actually the first step was free and I'm going to offer that to you in this blog eventually once I get the ending part of my website set up, probably in the next week or two, maybe in the next couple of days even.
I love this company so much that I decided to be an affiliate marketer for the business Institute itself. Well $39 later after that first free ebook, which is only about 20 pages, and I was training to understand what the three business models I was being offered to start work. Pretty soon they offered me an upsell too either the whole package for more money than what I wanted to spend or for one class that I could easily afford. But I already had fallen in love with all three of the business models and in right now putting them all together and bringing them online. Affiliate marketing wasn't really the first love, but I do love their system. I love all the support that they're giving. The openness that they have. The mentorship program where they tie you up with basically and millionaire who's doing one of these three businesses and making it, giving me advice that's a truck driver for nearly 28 years, and knowing pretty much nothing anymore about computers. Everything I ever know about a computer has long since expired in any kind of relevant way.
Yeah I'm that guy who's been dealing with a smartphone as his computer, because it's all I really ever needed up till now. And actually you can do this job with a smartphone, I just think it's easier on the laptop.
Then along the way there's another upsell, if you want it and can afford it, which I do but as of yet can't quite afford it. It is mentorship one-on-one every week a couple times a week with one of these millionaires taking their personal time and selling it to me and or to you in exchange for a fee.
There are also live meetings several times a year and even a mastermind group once you get in and are doing well enough to afford it. I'm really really excited about the Mastermind groups. So far I haven't been offered one and as of now my billfold just doesn't afford it. But if you have good enough credit, you can find a way to finance anything you want. The unfortunate part of the whole deal is that I decided I didn't care about credit and I did their Dave Ramsey thing, I got rid of all my debt. I've decided to move to the Philippines permanently once I get rid of this job as a truck driver, that's where my sweetheart lives. And I don't even keep a house. Live right behind the driver's seat. Yeah that's right no house, for the first time in nearly 50 years, no car. But that also means no insurance for the house, insurance for the car, electric, water, sewer, gas, trash, gasoline, oil changes, flat tire repair cost, etc etc. You know what I'm talking about. And so I don't really want to make personal debt in order to make business happen. Yes I'm stubborn. But I think there's a way to do this the right way, and so I'm taking the slower track and doing it as I go.
The lung and the short of it is I'm getting ready to start a publishing company, I've already started the online affiliate marketing business. I'm also in the process of starting a digital agency that helps businesses get more clients by working in the seo, ppc, and Google my business industry. Once I get all three of these up and running, I will also be starting an audiobooks publishing company and I've already affiliated with Amazon and audible to make that happen. That's a really exciting opportunity right now. Audible and Amazon have 80% of the book Market in America at this time. So in effect, by getting into this business Institute I met someone else who could get me into that business as well. Between the four businesses, I hope to be employing over 500 people within the next 3 years. Yes that's right you heard me. I believe that when we help other people to get ahead in life, our success is destined to just happen. I also believe that unless we set our mind to do something and don't give up by talking ourselves out of it, saying well I knew it it wasn't going to work for me.. which I've said numerous times over the last 28 years, if we set our mind to learn something well and just continue to do it, we can do it. I got this mindset by listening to many many audiobooks on audible which I'll later be requesting that you guys look into. I think mindset is the biggest thing that we need to overcome and change before we can actually be successful in life. Boy do I have a list of books that are amazing for just that. So if you're interested give this page a listen to. Join me. And let's learn together. No I'm not going to give you the link yet but I will shortly. As a matter of fact if you message me privately by sending me your email and telling me you're interested at [email protected] I would be happy to add you to the list and send you that link ahead of time. Just send me a message saying I want to learn about the Business Institute with the free book and put me on your mailing list. Then I'll send you a link to get into the system and there they'll ask you for your first name and your email one more time and that will put you on the list and get you that first step of the free 20 Page ebook. That particular web pages almost ready to go live online, but this is something I only recently decided to do and I'm still building it. Just like you might have noticed that this is a pretty vacant box so far. But if you join me and hang around and look back often, you're going to notice it gets filled with posts and offers regularly. Again, I believe when we help others succeed by offering them good and useful products, our success is sure to follow. So I will not give you any marketing information that I don't feel I got something out of already. Deal? I'll be looking forward to your email. And I'll catch you the next time.
