Málaga is so beautiful. Spain feels like it really could be home. If it wasn’t on another continent from our families I don’t think I would think twice about spending a year here.
Groceries are affordable. I got a huge bag of groceries today; olive oil, veggies, soy milk, cheese, eggs, fruit. I filled a big cloth bag to the brim. It was only 29 euro.
Really nice two bedrooms in the center of Barcelona are $1500 euro per month when I look on idealista. 😳
I put my new Adidas in the washing machine because they were white and dirty and literally the sole broke apart. It’s like the glue dissolved?? I’ve washed all my sneakers many times and I was shocked.
Was stressed about spending 60 or 70 euro on sneakers and when I picked out the shoes I’m wearing in the photo my mouth nearly hung open: only $18!!!!! Not a name brand but who cares, I can’t find sneakers this nice for $18 in America (in a super fancy neighborhood, nonetheless).
This cathedral is right next to our apartment. I love it here ✨💗

Bonsia 14th August 2024
Similar to Montenegro , we also booked a small group day tour to Bonsia. The tour guide was a local so it was nice to hear his stories as he was driving. His family makes the local beer and supplies it in town.
Our first stop was the Kravica waterfall it was like a natural swimming area. We didn't know you could swim in it so we didn't bring our swim wear we just dipped our feet in the water. It had sitting area for you to eat and drink. Plenty of sun chairs to hire. Matt and I found a table and just enjoyed the atmosphere.
The next stop was Mostar an old town. We had lunch up on a cliff /side of the river. It had beautiful view of the mosque, the bridge and river but it was crazy hot. Matt ordered the beer from the tour guide's family. There was no AC and they didn't turn on th fan. It was over 40 degrees that day. Super cute town lots of tourists shops everything was on the main street. It may have been the cheapest to eat and drink on our whole trip. I really enjoyed the short time we were there. I could have stayed longer.
We spent our last night in Dubronik.

Day 2 Lucerne
Day 2 began with breakfast downstairs in hotel lobby restaurant area. I had some breakfast and then came back up to my room to try and sleep for a half hour but that failed. I'm obviously still somewhat on CST. But, considering the time difference I'm awake and not about to fall asleep standing.
I'm going to get my day pack ready in a moment for the day. We will head into town for a walking tour. Some people will then go up to Mt. Pilatus for lunch and to see whatever else is up there. It is extremely overcast right now, so I honestly don't think I will miss anything by not going. I plan to hang out with at least one nice lady (haven't learned all the names yet) who wants to go into town. So, I asked last night if I could tag along and she said of course :)
I will post more later. I am using my tablet for this right now, but, I haven't figured out how to add my pictures etc via Chromebook yet. Like I said, my phone has worked out wonderfully and I can add instantly.
Auf wiedersehen!
