He is the adopted son of Aro and Sulpicia. He was adopted in 1965 at the age of 5. His biological parents, Paolo and Serena, were among the very few human friends the Volturi had. Unfortunately they died due to a car accident, leaving Ettore an orphan. Aro loved that child like a son, so he decided to adopt him. Aro was a good father. He was quite strict, but at the same time very gentle and supportive. Ettore was turned into a vampire the night of his 18th birthday and his special gift was to generate extremely realistic illusions. Aro was thrilled that his son had such a unique gift given his obsession with collecting vampires with unique gifts. Ettore is a free spirit who loves adventures and discover new things and in fact Aro often complains that his son is always out doing "God knows what". Ettore's sexual orientation is bisexual and his pronouns are he/him. He has a male mate named Michele whom he has been with since 1977 and whom he himself turned into a vampire.
