Gedenken an die Novemberpogrome

An die #Novemberpogrome 1938 wird in dieser Woche im Altkreis in 5 Veranstaltungen in #Lingen, #Freren und #Lengerich erinnert. Am Do, 10.11. präsentieren Esther Lorenz und Peter Kuhz ihre musikalische „Reise durch das Judentum“. 19 Uhr Bonifatius-Kirche.

An die Reichspogromnacht vor 84 Jahren wird in dieser Woche in unserem Altkreis mit diesen Veranstaltungen erinnert.  Lingen (Ems) 9 . November 2022, 18.00 Uhr Ökumenischer Gottesdienst  in der St. Bonifatius-Kirche unter Beteiligung von SchülerInnen der BBS Lingen (Agrar und Soziales) mit Schulpastor Gernot Wilke-Ewert. KSHSKAKHSDJHSKA I AM SO HAPPY YOU ASKED-

I’m gonna talk about my fe3h oc rn because I am absolutely immersed in the fandom at this point and there is no getting back out kahsjkshsjs

My oc is named Amelia Demaine, the adopted commoner daughter of a rich merchant who lives in the harbor city of Nuvelle. Born in Faerghus out of wedlock to her mother, Esther, and a high ranking official within the Church of Seiros, Amelia spent the first 12 years of her life being physically abused and neglected by her birth father. Shortly after her 12th birthday, Esther finally saved up enough money to leave the man abusing her and her child, fleeing to the Adrestian Empire because of the lack of influence of the Church in that region. When they both landed in Nuvelle, Esther met her current husband, a half-Albinean merchant named Arthur, and they almost instantly fell in love. Amelia was extremely weary due to the only other father figure in her life being a piece of shit, but Arthur soon won her over with his kind demeanor and love for terrible puns. But her new idyllic life was soon upheaved with the Dagda and Brigid War that tore through Nuvelle and the surrounding territories. Amelia and her family came out relatively unscathed financially, due to Arthur’s family in Albinea still willing to do trade with him even in times of war, but witnessing the war and the suffering it caused the people in her new home country birthed a strong conviction in Amelia. She wanted to protect the Adrestian Empire and its people from all threats, no matter the cost. To achieve her goals, Amelia begged her step-father to send her to Garreg Mach Monastery’s Officers Academy so she could learn all the battle knowledge and other specialized skills she would need to attain her dream. At first Esther absolutely refused to let Amelia attend, terrified to let her daughter anywhere near the Church in case her biological father tried to take Amelia away. Amelia was terrified as well, but she refused to show it, believing that she needed to go to prove to herself that the Church had no power over her. And eventually, after a good few years of begging, her mother let her go to the Academy.

While at the Academy, Amelia was a very popular student within her own house, the Black Eagles, and outside of it. Her outgoing and rebellious nature that made her biological father hate her was a boon when interacting with the other students, who quickly came to know her as the girl to go to for a good laugh or for help with a harmless scheme. However, underneath her fun-loving exterior she was constantly on edge, waiting for her biological father to come to the Monastery and try to hurt her again. This constant vigilance eventually lead her to overhearing Hubert and Edelgard about their plans to attack the Church. Amelia, upon hearing their treachery, didn’t reveal herself to them or go to the Church with her information. Instead she waited for Edelgard to put her plan into action to destroy the church that gave her biological father so much power to hurt her and her mother. In the meantime, she covered for the two conspirators, ready to join their cause the moment they revealed it to the world. And that moment was coming soon...

Why couldn't you wait? What questions did you have that needed answers so /urgently/?

Despite prevailing opinion, Claude is not a man devoid of self-awareness. He’s begun to ask himself the same question, lying awake until the dawn.

Couldn’t it wait?

Lorenz is right about one thing — the Professor confided in him like no other. Who can say but that, given enough time and a clearer head, she might have granted his request? It’s not such a stretch. She nearly cried on his shoulder after her father’s wake — perhaps only holding herself back because of their difference in station. Maybe, if he’d given it time...

But how much time?

In the span of just a few months, students have been kidnapped, assaulted, a school official thrown his lot in with the Dark Knight and his forces — a Knight Captain murdered in cold blood — all while Church looked on in blind silence, or so it seemed in the midst of the chaos.

Jeralt didn’t seem to trust the Church any more than Claude did. His insights, Claude thought as he picked the lock and smuggled the journal to his quarters, could be the key to stopping any more calamity or bloodshed.

But...don’t you think Byleth knew that?

She’s so strong, so fierce in her determination — even in her grief, would she have ever let her charges down in the face of death?

“Ai, ya...”

Claude sits up, hand pressed against his mouth, slowly shaking his head.

It was never about if she trusted him. Why would she ever come to him about her feelings if she didn’t trust him? He could have trusted in her, all along.

He should have trusted her.

So he won’t be caught with his guard down, Claude sneaks out to the wyverns’ hall. He hides in the shelter of Esther’s wing, and weeps, silently, bitterly.

I haven’t decided and thought about every character interaction/story yet in detail, but those who come in  mind right now are:

Kristjan would probably have some special interactions in group tasks/meals with Hubert and Linhardt, and with Olympia after they have some support

I can see Olympia having some special meal dialogue with Sylvain and Lorenz, and with Cassandra and Mithra from her own house

Esther would probably have some special meal/task dialogue with Ashe and Sayid, Leon and Nicolai for Silver Snake

Leon could definitely have some fun meal dialogue with Hanneman and Shamir

I can imagine Sayid with some special meal dialogue with Hilda and Claude, and Cassandra, Esther and Olympia for his own house

Mithra and Dedue would probably have some cute dialogue during meal time, and maybe her with Catherine too

Cassandra, Sayid and Claude would probably have some special dialogue together during meal time, and Cass would probably get more special interactions with the other Silver Snake students

Nicolai could have some special meal dialogue with Sylvain, Felix and Ingrid, and maybe Dimitri as I thought about their ‘secret support’ thing 

I wish I could mod the game with my characters in it, and project the ideas I have for the dialogues directly into your brain ahah. A couple of sketches with dialogue might be good to represent some of these interactions, though!

Mit einer, nach meinem Eindruck fast unsichtbaren Veranstaltung in der Bonifatius-Kirche hat unsere Stadt am vergangenen Montag den Nationalen Gedenkenktag an die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus und den zeitgleichen Internationalen Holocaustgedenktag begangen. Es gab wenige Plakate für das gemeinsam vom Forum Juden Christen im Altkreis Lingen, dem LWH und der Stadt Lingen (Ems) veranstaltete…

(Ok, so I’ve played enough of 3 Houses to get a basic idea for Esther’s 3H verse/her travels there. HOWEVER since there are still people trying to get through the game, I will only do a basic profile for now.

That being said lets GO!)

*In this verse, Esther is 17 while she is at the Academy. As her birthday is February 11th, in Fodlan it is the 11th day of the Pegasus Moon (2/11)

*Her mother is STILL ALIVE in this verse; Her father died when she was twelve due to arson.

*She is a commoner and has no crest, but due to her mother’s job and a few favors owed to her late father she was able to get enough recommendations to attend the Officer’s Academy. 

*Esther’s Strengths lie in archery and swords, but she has a budding talent in brawling. Her Weaknesses on the other hand are reason and faith magic as well as armor.

*Due to the general openness of the group, Esther joins the Golden Deer House. She is able to be recruited to the other houses, her main interests lying in Spd and Archery.

* Her favorite tea’s are Sweet Apple and Berry Blend. When it comes to topics, her likes consist of anything to do with animals, art, making friends, sweets, and what she finds in the library. She dislikes talking about politics, her future, her classes, or anything about herself.

*She has not told anyone but she secretly admires Claude, Dorothea, Ashe, Petra, Dedue, and Leonie. On the opposite spectrum she is scared/wary of Felix, Lorenz, and Hubert.
