Sonic: I don't have a ton of family, but I have my Uncle Chuck! He's really great and I go visit him whenever I get the chance.

Tails: I haven't really talked to my birth parents since I was pretty young. And I don't think any of my foster families count, since they never really wanted me, so.... But it's okay, I'm doing fine by myself!

Amy: I love my parents! They're... busy, most of the time, so they don't spend too much time with me or call very often, but that's just because they're working so hard! And they promised to come up for my graduation!

Knuckles: My family is pretty great. Uncle Pachacamac is a bit... difficult, but I love my cousin Tikal. She's always here for me and gives me good advice.

Tikal: Aww, right back at you, cousin 🧡. And yeah, my dad can be a bit much. I still love him, but...

Espio: My relationship with my family is rather... strained. Particularly after the, uh, The Incident ™.

Vector: I got my Ma! She's awesome, and she lives here in town so I get to take the guys over to her house sometimes. And all the guys on my floor are like my family!

Shadow: I have my sister Maria. She means the world to me. Besides her, I'm... okay with most of my family. Our grandfather, Gerald, is pretty good... Oh. If we're talking about biological family, then I guess I am required to mention Black Doom. He is my biological father. That is all he is to me. And I've recently found out that he has another son, Eclipse, who is also on campus. I do not have any particular interest in him.

Maria: You should get to know Eclipse better, Shadow! But as far as me, I also really love Shadow! He's the best little brother a girl could ask for! And I love the rest of our family too, especially Grandpa. Our cousin, Ivo, is pretty gruff, but I believe he has a soft side. And I'm having fun getting to know his kids, Metal, Sage, and Belle better!

Belle: My dad and I aren't very close anymore. It's also been pretty hard trying to connect with my half-siblings. Sage is pretty nice, and we've gotten a chance to get to know one another a bit better, but Metal still isn't super friendly towards me. It's getting a bit better, though. And I've enjoyed getting to know my cousin Maria. She's super sweet, although Shadow still intimidates me a bit...

Do you also struggle with the fact that Espio has a horn when writing? Because I do 😂 I always forget about that and when I'm writing a scene where him and Silver are cuddling I'm like "wait a minute..." after 700 words. Then I'm trying to imagine the pose and I always end up with Silver being stabbed in the heart or eye 🥲

Especially when I want them to touch foreheads. My brain just automatically deletes Espio's horn.

Yes, absolutely! I have the exact same, haha. I just kinda... don't envision the horn there, unless the writing draws specific attention to it (e.g. if somebody were to touch it). But to be honest, do Sonic characters really have the morphology for cuddles and spooning each other and stuff to begin with? I always envision Silver as the little spoon, but Espio would realistically first need to, like... embrace a full cubic meter of quills before so much as reaching Silver's back. And if they were to turn around their positions, Silver is gonna end up stabbed by the spikes on Espio's back. So my suspension of disbelief is in full swing to enable the fluffy scenes <3

As for Espio's horn, I suppose he could tip his head to the side a bit so his horn isn't smack dab in Silver's forehead? Forehead touches might not be feasible with that, though... However, may I present Silver gently bonking his head against the underside of Espio's horn instead? He's 10 centimeters smaller, so if he crouches a bit more, I'm sure it should be possible! Or he lifts Espio up with his PK and bonks him then, that'll definitely work💕💕
