エリンギ

エリンギは、キノコの一種で、食用として広く親しまれている品種です。学名は「Pleurotus eryngii」で、日本では「エリンギ」、英語では「King Oyster Mushroom」と呼ばれます。傘の部分が細���く、茎が太くしっかりとした特徴的な形をしています。色は白っぽいクリーム色で、表面は滑らかです。食感は肉厚で歯ごたえがあり、風味は穏やかでクセが少ないのが特徴です。

Nocte and the other members of the Eight Grand Arms, the most powerful figures in octarian society under Octavio.The Eight Grand Arms are like a council that advises Octavio and brings forth any issues in their sectors of governance. Each Arm represents and oversees an aspect of Octarian society. (this is entirely my own headcanon)

Additional info:

Ploddo Splunk commands and oversees all the Great Octo Weapons and was quite disapointed when they were all destroyed.

Zori and Nori represent all non-octoling Octarians and thus have considerable power in the council of the Grand Arms. They are quite popular among octarians as they, along with Hoshitako, implemented a 3 day work week for all Octarians.

Minister Eringi is in charge of the octo-domes and, along with Ploddo, voted for the stealing of the Great Zapfish

The Octosamurai is the top fighter in the Octarian military, however he lost to Nocte once. He spends most of his days in his dojo honing and teaching his craft

Yankii and Sukie are the representatives of all octolings. Octolings are drafted into the octarian military at an early age and all attend massive schools that teach them everything from life schools to combat. The schools are quite rowdy but this is disciplined out of them before they graduate and join the Octarian army

Hoshitako resides in an oversized sushi boat and is often found parading through town on it with his followers. He organizes holidays and parties and makes sure there is at least one holiday per month

Nocte can never let her guard down ever since Agent 3 infiltrated the Octodomes. Since then, she’s had to deal with octarians missing in the Deep Sea Metro and now bizarre fuzzy Octarians. Tho now in a time of peace, Nocte is ever watchful of her octarian society

And then, someone had to order a plate of Assorted Sushi in a buffet. Apparently that person is no buffet connoisseur opting for Ikura Gunkan (Salmon Roe Sushi), Sweet Beancurd (Inari) and Salmon Sushi with Mayonnaise (Sake Aburi). All these items come with rice and fills your stomach up fast which is a no-no for me.

The Hotate Mentaiyaki is a complimentary dish given out to all buffet diners. Each of us gets a hot baked half shell scallop topped with creamy and savoury seasoned cod roe with mayonnaise. Too bad it is only a one-time treat.

Colleague sitting opposite me said her grilled King Oyster Mushroom with Teriyaki Sauce (Eringi Teri) is tough to tear through. Though I have been here many times, I have never ordered this item so she is the guinea pig here. :D

Our order of Char-Grilled Chicken Mid Wing (Teba) came with just one wing for each person. Crispy golden brown skin on the outside and succulent chicken on the inside. The wings are a bit smaller this trip compared to the ones I had last year, nonetheless still delectable.

 When I saw Mitsuru rushing towards me with a puzzled look on his face, I couldn't help the burst of laughter that started to come up.

“Hehe, were you surprised?”

“Ofcourse I do! Right, Mitsuru?”

 With undoubtedly the biggest laugh of the year, I turned around, wiping the tears from my eyes with my fingers, and said.
