How do you imagine Ethan and Benji getting married? Big ceremony, discrete, etc.?

I don't think either Benji or Ethan want a big, massive ceremony or anything. That being said, I do think that Benji is a big romantic at heart and likes big gestures and big events, while Ethan wants this wedding to be meaningful, and not just a quick alliance in some hospital lobby room. I think that while he did love Julia to bits, his life with Benji promises many different things—and that is, to go all out, to not hold back, to love with no hiding, and to devote himself to Benji entirely (and vice versa.) Which is why I think they would have a relatively small wedding, but maybe in a vast venue. Seaside, (but that's a personal preference, and I also think they both really like the ever spreading waves and immensity of it all,) most probably. I think they'd invite their close friends (Brandt (Benji's best man), Jane, Luther (Ethan's best man), Ilsa, Hunley, Declan, Zhen Lei, Julia, Erik (not that they're close to him, but he's Julia's husband, so), and maybe some of Ethan's remaining family (so like, his mother.) It's not like they got close to many people in their line of work, so it'd be a relatively small reception venue, but very cozy.

I know many fic writers like to write Benji with having a sister or a mother, but it's not my case. In my own HCs he's left the UK after faking his death/disappearance, so he's not close at all with his family/parents. They probably have the sweetest vows, and they both cry before getting to the end of it, and they wear simple matching gold bands. Nothing too fancy. They also probably sometimes wear them as necklaces during high stakes missions where they have to do honeypots or the likes. I think Julia's the one who's the most touched and crying in the whole thing, because she's overjoyed to see Ethan being able to love relentlessly, which is something that had held him back in their marriage.

The pastel was made by Anna Ancher after a stay in Paris, and although the motif is entirely Skagen, the work perhaps also bears a little touch of the southern sun and inspiration from the French Impressionists.

Anna Kirstine Brøndum was born in Skagen, Denmark the daughter of Erik Andersen Brøndum (1820–1890) and Ane Hedvig Møller (1826-1916). She was the only one of the Skagen Painters who was actually born and grew up in Skagen where her father owned the Brøndums Hotel. The artistic talent of Anna Ancher became obvious at an early age and she grew acquainted with pictorial art via the many artists who settled to paint in Skagen, in north of Jutland.

While she studied drawing for three years at the Vilhelm Kyhn College of Painting in Copenhagen, she developed her own style and was a pioneer in observing the interplay of different colours in natural light. She also studied drawing in Paris at the atelier of Pierre Puvis de Chavannes along with Marie Triepcke, who would marry Peder Severin Krøyer, another Skagen painter. In 1880 she married fellow painter Michael Ancher, whom she met in Skagen. They had one daughter, Helga Ancher. Despite pressure from society that married women should devote themselves to household duties, she continued painting after marriage.

Anna Ancher is considered to be one of the great Danish pictorial artists by virtue of her abilities as a character painter and colourist.Her art found its expression in Nordic art's modern breakthrough towards a more truthful depiction of reality, e.g. in Blue Ane (1882) and The Girl in the Kitchen (1883–1886).

Ancher preferred to paint interiors and simple themes from the everyday lives of the Skagen people, especially fishermen, women and children. She was intensely preoccupied with exploring light and colour, as in Interior with Clematis (1913). She also created more complex compositions such as A Funeral (1891). Anna Ancher's works have often represented Danish art abroad. She was awarded the Ingenio et Arti medal in 1913 and the Tagea Brandt Rejselegat in 1924.

for the one anon about the kings and ducks preseason games happening tomorrow and are wondering about it bc all of the kings’ big boys are in australia, the kings will be playing their ahl team (ontario reign for anyone curious). so players who have signed their elc recently and those signed to ahl contracts will be there.

for umich fans, erik portillo will be a goalie there along with guys like brandt clarke (drafted same year as luke hughes, went 8th overall, brother of graeme clarke who was drafted and plays for the new jersey devils), francesco pinelli (2021 draft as well, and was projected to go in the first round but was taken in the second by la. they traded up for him via trade by ottawa), akil thomas (canadian player on the u20 2020 gold medal winning team with jamie drysdale), alex laferriere (drafted same year as alexis lafreniere, dawson mercer, and jamie drysdale).

i highly recommend watching the mic’d up videos of brandt clarke and francesco pinelli! they’re super fun and entertaining to watch and also you get a feel for the players most likely being played tomorrow. the ontario reign staff will also most likely be the coaching staff for these pre season games and the game between the kings and ducks aren’t a testament to how the kings will play during the regular season seeing as these players won’t be the kings regulars.

i also have to say that francesco pinelli is also easy on the eyes and i may or may not have an itty bitty crush on that man 🧍🏻‍♀️

The Inferno is impending. Now that more know the truth about Krakoa, it’s only a matter of time before Destiny’s visions come true and the Island burns. Raven will never trust Charles or Erik again; she doesn’t like them either. It’s not as if Raven is especially trustworthy herself. She just knows that men like Charles and Erik are dangerous. At the very least, she has Destiny returned to her. Her wife has secrets she doesn’t divulge, but Raven just needs her alive and present. They can burn the world together.

✗ IRENE ADLER (616). Her wife, and to some extent, her life. Raven fought tooth and nail to have her returned, and even then she had to go behind the backs of the Council to get it done. Irene is troubled at times; there’s so much she sees that she keeps to herself or Raven can’t understand. None of that matters. She loves Irene, and she will always fight for her. Destiny is the only person who could ever soften Raven’s shell. Having her back — and young again — is enough.

✗ ERIK LEHNSHERR & CHARLES XAVIER (616) played with Raven. They dangled Irene over her head knowing full well that they would never resurrect her to keep Moira happy. They’ll pay for that. They’ve made an enemy in Raven, and even if she plays nice on the Council they’re walking a fine line. If there’s ever a chance to plunge the knife in, Raven will take it.

✗ MOIRA MACTAGGERT (616) is going to pay. She was once a powerful mutant who was capable of rebirth, but now she’s just a human woman. Her fear of Irene after Irene and Raven burned her alive blocked Destiny from the resurrection queue for a long time. Now, it turns out she’s turned on Krakoa and mutanthood. Tasked with tracking her down, Raven’s ready to make it hurt when she does find her.

✗ THE QUIET COUNCIL OF KRAKOA → Some don’t approve of her seat there, but Raven has more than earned it. She’s needed to provide balance against the likes of Charles, Storm and Emma Frost. Now that Irene is on the Council as well, it’s even better. There’s a potential to sway the Council now that would have been harder before. Raven plays nice, but it’s only out of necessity.
