When they left the room, Jordin's parents were waiting for them in the living room to see them off before heading out for their romantic getaway.
"There's our girl!" Eric said as he eyed his daughter. "Your mother thought you'd gotten sucked into primping."
"Daddy, you mustn't make fun of the effort a girl goes through to look nice. This is Cordelia's first date. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't make sure she looked perfect?"
"You look very cute Cordelia, but I have to wonder why you're all done up and my daughter isn't."
"What do you mean?" Jordin tried to act innocent.
"Do not try that with me, little girl. I was a teenager once upon a time. And in my whole lifetime of knowing you I've never seen you dress so casually to go out."
"You and Daddy are so confusing!"
"You hated the outfit I tried on yesterday for 'showing too much skin' And now today you hate my outfit for what? Not showing enough?"
"Hun, maybe Jordie has a point? Does it make sense for us to come down on her for wearing something more appropriate?" Eric was open to her plea.
"Eric, we talked about this. You can't keep letting yourself get railroaded by Jordie. She isn't always as innocent as you think."
"Mo-om! It's not a play. The Fall Festival will have tons of hay and you know my skin is delicate. Thus cute but functional hoodie for coverage."
"Besides it's supposed to get pretty chilly tonight, so I can either wear this hoodie or stay wrapped in DeShawn's arms all night."
"I vote hoodie!" Eric chimed in.
"I guess I'll trust you, with the utmost caution." Kea gave in. "But I will be checking in with Drea. Often."
"So tell DeShawn to keep his hands above your waist and below your bust and don't do anything you don't want Drea reporting back to me." Kea warned.
"Don't worry, Mom. Auntie Dre won't have anything but glowing reviews to give you. Now you and Daddy enjoy your trip."
Jordin had managed to win her parents over, but Cordie still had butterflies in her stomach.
It was finally hitting her that she was about to be on her first real date. She was glad at least that Jordie would be there, but what would she do once her and Jai were left alone?

Joachim Kühn New Trio ft. Atom String Quartet “Komeda. Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic XIV”

Jazz Trios
I was off work yesterday after a long week of heavy work. I think am too old, anyhow I'd planned to do nothing except rest. By good fortune early in the morning I stumbled upon Jazz Sabbath, a Jazz trio performing music of Black Sabbath. After a bunch of their videos, I listened to Jazz trio music all day long.
I listened to the Julius Rodrigues Trio and the Joey Alexander Trio. Both are such brilliant musicians, who while very young have been playing for a long time. Here is Joey Alexander at age 11. He's 19 now and the Birdland concert linked to are all his original compositions.
He's been playing regularly in trio with Kris Funn. His collaborations with Joey Alexander and John Davis on drums are wonderful. On Funn's Google knowledge panel the genre is listed: Japanese Hip Hop/Rap. I was skeptical and clicked through to his Website. I was glad because there is so much there, so much that I might have missed the Japanese Hip Hop. He's got the coolest merch I've seen. There's a whole page of Art + Writing which moved me. His Web site is worth the visit.
I listened to a bunch of Jazz trios and will link to a few performances that taught my ear:
I Cover the Waterfront, Lester Young, Nat King Cole, Buddy Rich.
Money Jungle, Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, Max Roach
River Man, Brad Mehldau, Larry Grenadier, Jorge Rossy
Everywhere You Turn, The Bad Plus, Reid Anderson, Dave King, Ethan Iverson
When the Sleeper Wakes, Michael Wollny Trio, Michael Wollny, Christian Weber, Eric Schaefer
I really know so little about music. I am sure I’ve just scratched the surface. And I surely hadn't appreciated Jazz trios as much before today!

The Best Books on Content Creation
If you’re looking for the best books on content creation, look no further. This list includes some of the most popular and well-reviewed books on the subject. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, these books will help you create better content more efficiently.
The first book on our list is The Content Code by Mark Schaefer. This book is essential reading for anyone who wants to improve their content marketing strategy. In it, Schaefer covers six key areas that all marketers need to master in order to succeed: audience, authority, story, secrets, system, and scale. If you want to create content that really resonates with your audience and gets results, this is the book for you.
Next up is Contagious: Why Things Catch On by Jonah Berger. This New York Times bestseller explores what makes certain things go viral and how we can apply those insights to our own content marketing efforts. If you want to learn how to make your content more shareable and increase its reach online, this is the book for you.
Finally, we have The Lean Startup by Eric Ries. While not specifically about content marketing, this book contains valuable lessons for anyone trying to launch a new business or product – which includes many of us in the world of online publishing and blogging. In it, Ries lays out his lean startup methodology which emphasizes iterative experimentation over long-term planning in order to achieve success more quickly and efficiently. If you’re looking for a different perspective on launching and growing a successful business or blog, this is the book for you

Different Types of Content and How to Create It
There are many different types of content that can be created, and the best books on content creation can help you figure out what kind of content will work best for your needs. Here are some different types of content that you may want to consider creating:
1. Blog Posts: Blog posts are a great way to provide valuable information to your audience while also promoting your brand. When writing a blog post, be sure to focus on quality over quantity. rather than churning out multiple blog posts each week, try to publish one high-quality post each week or two. This will give your readers something to look forward to, and it will also help improve your search engine ranking since Google favors quality over quantity when it comes to new content.
2. infographics: Infographics are a visually appealing way to present data or information in an easy-to-understand format. If you have complex data that you need to communicate clearly, an infographic may be the best option. You can either create infographics yourself using software like Canva or hire a designer to create one for you.
3 . Ebooks: Ebooks are another great way to provide value to your audience while also promoting your brand. If you have expertise in a particular topic, writing an ebook can help position you as an expert in your field and attract new customers or clients. Creating an ebook does require more time and effort than other types of content, but it can be worth it if done well.
Ideas for Creating Engaging Content
The internet is a vast, ever-expanding repository of information and ideas. To stand out in today’s online landscape, you need to create content that is not only informative and accurate, but also engaging and interesting. Here are some tips for creating engaging content:
1) Use strong headlines. Your headline is the first thing readers will see, so make sure it grabs their attention and entices them to read further. A good headline will be clear, concise, and to the point.
2) Write in an active voice. Passive voice can make your writing sound dull and uninteresting. Active voice is much more engaging – it sounds natural and conversational, making it more enjoyable to read.
3) Use short paragraphs. Long blocks of text can be off-putting for readers. Breaking up your content into short paragraphs makes it easier to digest – and more likely that people will stick with reading until the end.
Tips for Making YourContent Stand Out
The headline is the first thing that your readers will see, so make sure it’s catchy and enticing enough to make them want to click through and read more. A good headline will be relevant to the main topic of your article, as well as being unique and attention-grabbing.
People are visual creatures, so incorporating compelling images or videos into your content can help make it more engaging and memorable. Adding infographics or charts can also be a helpful way to break up text and make complex information more digestible.
Nobody wants to read an endless wall of text, so try to keep your content concise and easy to skim-read. Breaking up paragraphs with short sentences, bullet points or numbered lists can help make your piece more user-friendly and accessible.
Why Good Content is Important
If you’re like most people, you probably think that content is important for your website or blog. After all, without good content, what would visitors have to read? However, there are actually a lot of benefits to having great content on your site – benefits that go beyond just providing something for visitors to read. Here are four reasons why good content is important:
1. It helps improve your search engine ranking.
One of the main reasons why good content is important is because it can help improve your search engine ranking. When you have high-quality, relevant content on your site, search engines will recognize this and reward you with a higher ranking in the search results pages. This means more traffic for you!
2. It keeps visitors coming back for more.
Conclusion
There are a lot of great books out there on content creation, but these are the best of the best. If you’re looking to create amazing content that will capture your audience’s attention and keep them coming back for more, then be sure to check out these books.
You won’t regret it!

"Believe it or not, I do get it cause my wife is the same way. I always jokingly tell her that if the two of us were sandwiches I'd be a bologna sandwich and she'd be something nicer, like crabcake or something. Then she gives me that look that means I said something dumb."
"Heh, heh, been there." Cam laughed. "I'm sorry I should introduce myself, I'm—"
"The groom for this thing, right?"
"Ha, yeah, that's me. It's Cameron, actually. And you, you live around here?"
