Do you ever think about how insanely fast Nightmare Luffy would have to move to save Usopp and Nami from getting stomped by Oars, then get to this spot behind him without Oars or Moriah noticing?

homework assignment for one of the universities i applied to. we were asked to create a series of 3 posters based on a prompt that they gave us. they liked my work but i didn't pass because according to them i "didn't have the right attitude". whatever that means lmao.

What do you do? (Warlock 4, 1985) Sometimes this is all the world-building you need to start an adventure, or an entire campaign. Build the rest around it as you go.

Incidentally! Last night after unanimously agreeing to run a 3-hour session (our usual session length is 2 hours, with 2.5 pushing it badly), which is a compliment in itself
i received by FAR the highest compliment anyone can give their DM
Captain Olassa was the first friendly NPC they ever met in this campaign, and who has been their primary questgiver and point of contact throughout the campaign. She’d actually gone down a few rounds earlier. Audie, our squishy wizard, exposed herself to further damage just to pour a healing potion down her throat and get her back on her feet; but she won’t have time to do more than blink in disorientation until we get back to the top of the round.
The fae commander, greatsword drawn and not hurried in the slightest, is walking directly toward her. Olassa has about nine hitpoints, a nonmagical halberd, a shield strapped to her bad arm, and no reactions except one that can be used to defend other people.
The fae commander is smiling extremely unpleasantly.
And then in the heat of the moment, out of character, our deeply stressed ranger:
“Jo, if you make us watch Olassa die I’m suing you for emotional damages!”
