Orient 41  “They who dwell within the sword”
Orient 41 “They who dwell within the sword”
 Page 303
The day after the battle.
 Musashi: What an amazing view…
Tsugumi: This is because a lot of bushi died yesterday…
Kojirou: Is this similar to a funeral?
Musashi: Bushi… Mourn for their fallen comrades in this way…
 Page 304
 Page 305
Musashi: Everyone is trying to endure, but they are all sad…
The people who are crying… might be the family of those bushi who died…
 Page 306
Girl: Wahhh
Girl: Father…
Girl: Mother…
Girl: Father…
Girl: Mother…
Musashi: ….
Kojirou: Everyone is clinging at their swords…
Tsugumi: Yeah, because it’s a keepsake… Kitetsu swords are pretty unique
Tsugumi: The sentiments of those who used it somehow dwell within them… That’s why Kitetsu swords are treated as the testimony of a bushi’s life.
 Page 307
Kojirou: I see… So, the swords are the testimony of a bushi’s life… A long time ago, my father told me something similar…
Musashi: …
Tsugumi: Well, I don’t agree so much, though.
Musashi: What do you mean, Tsugumi?
 Page 308
Tsugumi: My sword is also a keepsake of my dead big sister.
Tsugumi: This is only a thing. It can’t replace my big sis.
Tsugumi: When someone dies, it’s all over.
Tsugumi: Because that person just vanishes, is not there anymore…
 Page 309
Musashi: …
Musashi: Tsugumi…
Tsugumi: …
Tsugumi SFX: Ah!
Tsugumi: Just kidding! Leaving that aside…
Tsugumi: We are leaving soon, right?
Musashi: Yeah, but please wait for me a little, I have something to do tomorrow!
Tsugumi, Kojirou: Something to do? What is it?
 Page 310
The next morning.
Kojirou: This is what he meant when he said he had something to do?
 Page 311
Person: A new attempt at the “Soul’s trial” will take place now!!
 Page 312
Bushi: That redhead… I hope this time things will turn out well for him!
People: But he did fail in the first trial, right?
People: Will he be alright?
People: He’ll be fine… He’s getting a fresh start, and this time he’ll surely be successful…
Tsugumi: What?
Tsugumi: That sword… Isn’t that the red long blade that Musashi failed to get the first time….!?
 Page 313
Tsugumi: Of all things, why do you pick the sword you failed to get last time!?
Musashi: Because this one is the best sword there is right now!
People: Alright, the trial will be just like before!
If the kitetsu sword shines he passes, if the kitetsu sword doesn’t shone, he fails.
This is a redo of the trial; he only has one shot! Are we clear!?
Musashi: Yeah!
Musashi: ……
Musashi: Hey, Tsugumi…
 Page 314
Musashi: Yesterday you said that “A sword is the living testimony of a bushi”
Musashi: To be honest, I don’t understand very well…
Tsugumi: …?
Tsugumi: huh…?
Tsugumi: !!
Tsugumi’s thoughts: Musashi…You’ll turn everyone against you. What are you trying to do…!?
Musashi: But, you know?...
 Page 315
Musashi: The old man’s sword was also the proof of his life as a bushi, and he cherished it very much…
That’s why, from now on, I want to know too.
I want to get a sword and know about the world of the bushi that is ahead of me…
Musashi: People who have died certainly vanish and are not here anymore, but…
Musashi: If I, who I’m alive now, can cherish…
What they cherished when they were alive, then...
Musashi: I think it means that the testimony of the life they lived…
Musashi: Won’t disappear…
 Page 317
Musashi: That’s why…
 Page 318
People: It’s shining!!
Bushi: The soul trial for “Enma no oodachi” is successful!!!
 Page 319
Kojirou: You really did it, Musashi…!
He’ll cut through the unseen world together with his friends once again!!

Orient 22 “The sword’s trial”
Orient 22 “The sword’s trial”
The weapon necessary for Kishin slaying, is the “Kitetsu” sword! The contest at the market where the bushi are gathered has started!!
 Page 341
Man: Kitetsu sword forged by the swordsmiths of “Ryuuzouji Bushidan”!  25 pure handmade swords!
Man: Step forward, those who think they must become the master of one of these swords!
Bushi: the contest has started!
Bushi: Let me see!
Bushi: Don’t push me!
Musashi: Are those Kitetsu swords? … They are so pretty!
 Page 342
Bushi: A quality collection indeed!
Kojirou: They look very expensive, though… don’t they!?
Little Kojirou’s dialogue: Do we even have enough money?
Little tsugumi globe: pulls out money
 Page 343
Tusgumi: Do your best and get your hands on the one you want, you two! The Kitetsu from “Ryuuzouji Bushidan” have a reputation of being made with high quality!
Musashi: But there are a lot of them. How do I know which one I should choose?
Musashi: !?
Woman: You should choose the one that makes you fall in love at first sight!
Woman: Swords are drawn to Bushi, that’s why… you should push your way forward and make the one you want your own thing!
Box: Ryuuzouji Bushidan swordsmith chief : Osafune Mitsuru
 Page 344
Kojirou’s thoughts: that blacksmith lady is really pumped up, huh…
Musashi: Alright Miss!
Tusgumi & Kojirou: Miss!?
Musashi: Aren’t you lovely?...
Man: Hey, redhead brat… get your hands away from the chief…
Tsugumi’s thoughts: What’s with this boy? He’s being this way even though he didn’t even blush at my naked body…  What does she have that I don’t?
Tsugumi’s manuscript: Please shed some light on me, big sis…
Musashi: Ah, you see…This my first time choosing a Kitetsu sword…
Mitsuru: Oh! First sword? This is a special day for you, then.
Kojirou: Special day?
 Page 345
Mitsuru: Yeah. The first time someone choses a kitetsu sword, a solemn coming-of- age like ceremony is held…
I you wanna know why… it’s ‘cause you can say that, to get a kitetsu sword to annihilate the Oni is… the proof that you are a fully qualified bushi!
Musashi: The proof of being a fully qualified bushi, you say?...
Musashi: That sounds good!
Man: Come now, all of you! Stand in front of the sword that makes you fall in love at first sight!
 Page 346
Kojirou: …. This is the one!
 Kojirou: Nah, maybe… this one?
Tsugumi: You are kind of indecisive, aren’t you? Kojirou…
Kojirou: If I don’t pick something good, I’ll regret it later, won’t I?...
Man: this is the fated sword!
Man2: these sparkling jewelries evidently make it an excellent sword!
Mitsuru’s thoughts: you say it’s an excellent sword because of its sparkling jewelry? Good grief… these blockhead samurai have no judgment at all…
Man: Chief…
Mitsuru: Huh?
 Page 347
Tsugumi: Musashi, will you pick such a plain sword?
Musashi: Yeah… somehow, I feel like this is the one.
Mitsuru: That kid has a good eye!
Mitsuri: Where’s the other kid?
Kojirou: This sword… I don’t get why nobody else was interested on it… I’ll go with this one!
Mitsuru: That sword is not bad pick either!
 Page 348 & 349
Mitsuru: First! The kitetsu “war sword enma” lightweight alloy.
Translator Note: “enmanooodachi” =  flaming demon war sword/sword” also, enma probably comes from Indian mythology that was taken into Japanese mythology. In Japanese mythology, enmaou/ enmadaiou King Enma- Great King enma) judges souls in Meido (the kingdom of the waiting dead) Those considered horrible are sent to Jigoku (hell) the land of eternal punishment. Souls in the middle remain in meido until they reincarnate.
Mitsuru: Second! “endless reaper double-bladed sakura” lightweight alloy.
Translator Note: “rekkuuyaesakura”
Musashi & Kojirou: these are our chosen swords…!
Kojirou: … Is it time for the contest!?
Manuscript: what should I do?
Mitsuru: Do you think this is a common contest? Why don’t you try to hold the hilt of that sword in your hands?
Musashi: wow! Can I try it already?
Musashi: Alright…
Musashi: …!?
 Page 350
Musashi: What…..!?
Musashi: What’s happening!?
 Page 351
Kojirou: What happened to Musashi!?
Mitsuru: he’s going through the “sword’s trial”
Kojirou: the “sword’s trial”? what is that?
Mitsuru: a Kitetsu contest is special… To compete is the true nature of a bushi.
So to speak, this is a ceremony in which the Kitetsu sword chooses its own master.
 Page 352
Kojirou: the sword choses its master? Is that even possible?
Tsugumi: I can’t explain it properly, but… when you hold a Kitetsu sword, you get a mysterious feeling…
Tsugumi: Anyway, what I mean is that when this ceremony is completed, he’ll become able to use a Kitetsu sword!
 Musashi: …. …. ….
Musashi: this strange feeling….
Musashi: it’s the same as this morning, when I used a Kitetsu sword for the first time…
Musashi: that’s right… that time, it was this way too…
 Page 353
 Musashi: it’s getting dark…
Musashi: My heart is racing like crazy…
Musashi: …. ?
Musashi: huh? This time it’s taking longer…
Musashi: Is this moving somewhere? Is it trying to show me something?
Musashi: … I don’t wanna go there….
Musashi: I have a bad feeling…
 Musashi: ….
Musashi:…!?
Musashi: where am i? woah, it’s Tatsuyama! Did I end up coming back?
Musashi: That’s not it…
Musashi: is this… that day…!?
 Page 354 & 355
 Musashi: Old man!!
 Page 356
Musashi: What!? Old man… what are you saying!?
 Musashi: What!?
Musashi: What just happened…!?
Musashi: Why…. Why am I seeing this stuff from long ago!?
Musashi: what is really a Kitetsu sword…!!?
Musashi: it’s dark, and I can’t see a thing….
Musashi: Is there something inside that?
Musashi: …
 Page 357
Musashi: Argh
Musashi: ….!?
Musashi: What the hell are you…!?
What is the true form of this sinister floating ball…!?
