ID: Day 1- Nest: A traditional marker illustration of a Bunny and a Dove cuddled together in a bird's nest sleeping. The Dove's head lays on top of the bunnies. Two black hearts float above them.

Day 2- Puzzle: A marker illustration of Ophaniel, from my fusion AU, standing I the middle of the page, holding a floating puzzle peice in one hand. They look down at it amazed. A text box above their head states "A New Memory has been unlocked."

Day 3- Scent: A marker illustration of cat boy Aziraphale and Crowley. Aziraphale is dressed in a turtleneck sweater and has his arms wrapped around Crowley's middle. His face is buried in the back of Crowley's neck. He sniffs Crowley and thinks he smells of Chocolate, herbs, and leather. Crowley stands, shocked and blushing furiously as this happens. He is in a simple t-shirt and boxers and is holding a hot cup of tea, likely for Aziraphale. Black hearts float around them.

Day 4- Capture: A digital black and white illustration of an Izzy Hands with wings. He is tied up and was previously beaten; he has marks and bruses all over him. His hands are tied in front of his face to make it look like he's praying. The rest of the room he's in is dark besides the bit of light you can see from an opened door. A shadow of a person is in the door. They say "Won't you fetch for a pretty penny." In a dark voice as Izzy glares darkly at them.

Day 5- Spoon: A traditional inked illustration of a Crowley and Azirapigeon. Azirapigeon is a pigeon with hair similar to Aziraphale's and a big bowtie. Crowley is a crow with sunglasses. Azirapigeon is laying down and looking surprised up at Crowley. Crowley is proudly offering Azirapigeon a spoon he found. Black hearts float above both birds' heads.

Day 6- Growth: A colored digital illustration of Izzy Hands and his OC spouse, Eniera. They are in a forest. A plant like creature that appears to be attached to a tree takes on the form of Eniera and holds Izzy's face. Izzy is crying at the sight of his departed spouse. He holds one hand to the plant creature's wrist and allows himself to be slowly consumed by moss that is slowly climbing up his body. Stede shouts from off screen "Izzy? Izzy?" As the plant creature says "Sstay with me Izzy." beckoning Izzy to stay with it forever.

Day 7- Blindfold: A traditional illustration of Izzy, Ed, and Stede. They're all on their knees and shirtless, with Izzy trapped and blindfolded in between Edward and Stede. Edward is behind Izzy and smiling, whispering to him while his his arm is wrapped around Izzy's middle. Stede is in front of Izzy, one hand gripping his thigh as he leans in kiss his cheek. Tied up

Summary: Stede finally came back to Edward and they finally made amends. Izzy was trying to fight Stede and his crew but ended up tied up in one of the rooms below deck. Stede has decided he is the one who will feed him. Izzy is not happy.

A follow-up to my Stede and Ed's Reunion fic. Along with past mentions of Eniera (my Oc/deceased spouse of Izzy based on the Widow theory)

   Izzy had ropes tied around his hands and feet and he was tied to a mast below deck. He had been here for a couple of hours now and had finally given up yelling. He was angry but his body felt exhausted and the ropes were starting to become uncomfortable. It was dark in the room he was in, all he could see was the light that shined through cracks in the ship. He could hear the sounds of people talking to each other in other rooms but he couldn't quite make out what they were saying. He let his head bang harshly against the wooden pole and he closed his eyes. There was no use in struggling, he'll just figure out something tomorrow.

   Day 1

   The next morning he was awoken by a soft knock at the door and a very familiar face popping in the room.

   "Good morning, Izzy! How'd you sleep?" said Stede, cheerfully. He was carrying what looked like food and a drink.

   Izzy growled, "Stede Bonnet."

   "Yes, that is my name. You seem to like saying it," Stede said.

   Izzy glared at Stede. Stede sighed, "You're going to be difficult, aren't you?"

   "The fuck do you want, Bonnet? Did you just come here to laugh at me? Shove it in my face that you won?" Izzy asked.

   Stede sat down on the floor, the food tray sitting in front of him. "Laugh at you? Goodness, no! I wouldn't do that here, that would be rude!" Stede said. "No, no if I were going to laugh at you I would do it in another room instead. Likely with the rest of the crew," he said with a smile. Izzy continued to glare at him. "Look, I just came here to give you breakfast."

   Izzy shifted in his binds. "If you think I'm going to eat anything you idiots try to give me then you're poorly mistaken. It's probably poisoned."

   "Poisoned!? Izzy, when have we ever carried anything poisonous on the ship?" Stede shouted.

   "Right because only a competent person would be able to poison food properly. You all would only end up poisoning your own crew," Izzy said.

   Stede furrowed his eyebrows, "Izzy, if we wanted to kill you we would have just tied an anchor to your leg and thrown you overboard." Izzy looked away, remembering when he was almost thrown overboard by the crew. "No, we want you alive. Well, Edward wants you alive. I could honestly care less."

   Izzy growled, "His name is-"

   "Edward!" Stede shouted at Izzy, interrupting him. "His name is Edward and if you can't get that through your thick skull then you certainly won't be allowed out of your ropes! Blackbeard is gone!" Izzy scowled at him. Stede leaned in close to Izzy. "Call him Blackbeard again and there will be consequences," he said menacingly. Izzy's breath hitched and his mind went blank at the threat. Stede pulled back, a small smile back on his face. "Now, back to your breakfast."

   Izzy's brain took a few seconds to reboot. "What?" He said.

   "Your breakfast," Stede repeated.

   "I'm tied up and from what you just said I'm not being let out," Izzy said.

   "I know," Stede said as he spread marmalade on a piece of bread.

   "So how am I supposed to-" Stede held out the piece of bread. Izzy's eyes went wide, "No! Absolutely not!"

   "Oh, come on."

   Izzy growled, "No! Being tied up like this is already humiliating enough! I'm not going to be fucking hand-fed by YOU of all fucking people! I'd rather starve!"

   Stede sighed, "Very well then."  He took a bite of bread and hummed in delight. He then grabbed the tray and stood up. "You truly are missing out," he said, slightly muffled by the food in his mouth. "But if you'd rather starve then you'd rather starve. Can't force a man to eat if he doesn't want to." Stede started to walk out of the room, "Well then, I'll see you later tonight for dinner. Enjoy the rest of your day, Izzy!" Stede shut the door and Izzy was alone.

   Hours passed but no one had come to check up on Izzy again until dinner time. He had been alone with his thoughts, which mostly consisted of Edward, Eniera, How pathetic he was, and Stede fucking Bonnet. There were also the occasional muffled noises of people talking, sometimes fucking. He tried his best to block those noises out. He had also tried to look for a way to cut the ropes but there was nothing else in the room and wriggling out of them would have been impossible as they were tied as tight and intricately as possible, just short of cutting off his circulation. Lucius really knew his knots and it was surprising. It also didn't help that the wood was polished and didn't contain a single crack or splinter that he could use to cut through the rope.

  'This mast is made of the finest cherry wood in Brazil,' chimed in the grating voice of Stede Bonnet at the realization. He cursed at the memory. Stede Fucking Bonnet and his stupid eccentrics. Izzy wishes he could kill the man everyday.

   He also couldn't brute force his way out of this either because if he tugged on the rope too much he would end up cutting off the circulation in his hands or worse, breaking them, and it would be much harder to escape if he couldn't use his hands. It was infuriating how he couldn't think of a single plan of escape! It was humiliating that he of all pirates would be at the mercy of-of HIM of all people! It didn't bear thinking about!

   A knock on the door and Stede walked inside. He had a tray of food and a drink just like last time but now he was also carrying a lantern. The flame lit up the room. "Good evening, Izzy!" Stede said. Izzy glared at him. "Still with the glaring, huh?" Izzy didn't say anything as he sat down on the floor. "Oh, you're going to give me the silent treatment now? Well, that certainly took less time than I thought."

   "Go die, Stede Bonnet," Izzy said. "I still refuse to be fed like a child."

   "You really are difficult, aren't you?" Stede said. "I'm just trying to make sure you eat properly."

   "Fuck you," Izzy said.

   Stede sighed and got up. "Very well then." He walked out of the room without another word. Alone again.

   Days 2, 3, and 4 went by similarly to Day 1. Izzy was reluctant to eat and drink despite his slowly growing hunger and now obvious thirst. He would tell Stede to screw off and Stede would roll his eyes but would leave without much of an argument. A cycle he was, unfortunately, starting to get used to.

   Day 5

   A soft knock on the door and Stede walked in.

   "Good morning, Izzy!" Came Stede's ever chipper voice as he walked into the room. Izzy, despite his absolute exhaustion, still glared daggers at the man who came to bring him food. "Goodness, you look awful!" said Stede. He scrunched up his nose in disgust, "Smell awful too." He sat down where he usually did. "Do you plan on eating today or just telling me to fuck off?"

   Izzy glared at him but didn't say anything.

   "Izzy, you look exhausted. You've gone 4 days now without food or water. You're gonna start to pass out from dehydration and starvation."

   Izzy still didn't say anything. He couldn't say anything even if he wanted. His throat hurt from how dry it was. He's right, you know, his mind told him. You'll die here if you don't drink something and wouldn't that just be pitiful.

   Shut up, said another part of his mind.

   Stede sighed, "Look if you're not going to eat then at least drink something, alright? I'd prefer not to have a dead body on my ship." Stede held out the drink and Izzy very reluctantly drank it. Stede smiled, "Now, look at that! That wasn't that terrible now was it?"

   "Fuck off," Izzy said. His voice was terribly scratchy.

   "Oh, he's back to talking again! How wonderful," Stede said with all the passive aggression he could muster. "Now, can we please eat something today?"

   Izzy spat in his face. Stede yelped, "A simple no would have been fine!" He quickly stormed out of the room.

   Why am I like this? So rude for no reason, one part of his mind asked. I wasn't always like this...

   You're pathetic. You were pathetic then just like you are now. Stede Bonnet is the enemy who stole everything from me. Yet here you are mopping when we should be looking for an escape.

   Eniera would hate me now, hate who I've become. There's no point in going on anymore. Not like this. This is a fate worse than death.

   KEEP THEIR NAME OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MOUTH. Who cares what they would think? They're dead. What we need is a way out!

   I care!

   Izzy's body started to shake as he tried to repress his tears. He's only been here for 5 days and he was already starting to go mad. The growing exhaustion wasn't helping. Alone again.

   Stede marched out of the room, food tray in hand, and went back to the kitchen.

   "Did he seriously not eat anything again?" Roach asked.

   Stede huffed, "Yes."

   Roach groaned, "This is the fifth day you've made me make food for him and he doesn't even eat it! What's the point? I'm wasting precious ingredients!"

   "I know but I want him to realize that he doesn't have to act all hostile. I'm trying to give him another chance but he's making it so difficult! He spat in my face today!"

   "You have him tied up downstairs. He's basically treated like a prisoner. You can't exactly be upset with him not trusting you," Lucius said.

   Stede turned to Lucius. "I just don't want him trying to attack the crew! I wish I didn't have to tie him up but that's the only way I know he won't try anything...Besides, you were the one who tied the ropes in the first place, Lucius."

   "I know. I'm not saying you're wrong, the man is crazy. I'm just saying it's hard to trust the person who is treating you like a prisoner."

   "Well, what am I supposed to do?" Stede whined.

   Lucius shrugged, "I don't know. Maybe try letting someone else visit him or say longer than to just give him food. You could also try visiting him more than just twice a day."

   Stede hummed, "I guess I could try that."

   "Give him something to do..he's been stuck there for days. He's most definitely bored out of his mind," Lucius said.

   Roach laughed, "Probably going mad down there."

   "Goodness, you're right!" Stede said, genuine guilt starting to sink in. "Oh god..I never even thought about that.."

   "Seriously?" Roach and Lucius said simultaneously.

   Lucius shook his head, "How could you not think of that?"

   Stede shrugged, "I had a lot of other things going on when I decided to keep him there! I didn't plan ahead!" Stede sat at the table and hunched his shoulders. "Being a proper pirate captain is hard... I don't want to keep him down there forever! But I don't want to put anyone in danger just in case he is still...upset."

   "Oh, he's definitely still upset but I doubt he's any danger to anyone anymore. Your threat might have been enough," Lucius said, looking at his nails.

   "Seriously?" Stede said. "But he's still being mean to me."

   "He's always mean. He's a dick," said Lucius. "Besides, you're his only way he'll get to see his precious 'Blackbeard' again, if he's thought about him while being down there. Would be pretty stupid to try and attack you again with that on the line."

   Stede glared at Lucius before he shook his head in agreement. He knows he can't exactly be mad at the man, considering that he was thrown off the ship, that of which is partly his fault. He hunched back over the table, sighing.

   "Why exactly are you doing all this anyway? He's caused enough trouble. If he's still being this stubborn and rude why haven't you just thrown him off the ship? Why go through all this trouble?" Lucius asked.

   Stede looked down, "Oh, I don't know...I guess I want to try to help...Try to see something good in him..Besides, Edward has been asking about him. Asking if he's okay. I can't just chuck him off to sea after that, what would Edward think? He'd probably get upset with me and we've just started getting comfortable with each other again.." He looked at Lucius. "I wouldn't want to do anything to upset him again and throwing his first mate off the ship seems a bit personal, don't you think? I mean, that's what he did to you and look how that turned out."

   Lucius hummed agreement and nodded.

   "Well, you better figure out something quick, or else he's gonna end up starving himself," said Roach. "And honestly, for all the trouble he's caused he probably deserves it."

   "Yes, I know. I'll think of something," Stede said.

   "CAP'N!" Shouted Buttons and Stede got up from his seat at the table and started to walk above deck to see what was happening.

   A soft knock on the door and someone walked into the room.

   Izzy had his eyes closed and he was trying to sleep his entire existence away. "Just fucking go away already, Bonnet."

   "I'm not Stede, sorry to disappoint," a voice said from the door.

   Izzy opened his eyes. "The fuck do you want?" He asked.

   Lucius stepped further into the room and sat down with the plate of food, a drink, and a lantern. "I was told to come and bring you food, although I don't expect you to eat." Lucius looked Izzy over. "God, you look awful."

   "You don't say," Izzy growled weakly. He felt awful but to God was he stubborn. He wanted to eat but whatever pride he had left wouldn't let him or maybe he just got used to not eating and got used to feeling like absolute shit that any ounce of feeling comfortable was scary.

   "Why won't you eat?" Lucius asked. "It's not poisoned or anything, we wouldn't be able to pull that off even if we tried."

   Izzy huffed a hollow laugh, "I know."

   "Then why?"

   Izzy shifted in his spot, for the first time in days. "I don't want to be fed like an ill child. Being tied up like this is already humiliating enough.."

   I deserve to be treated like this. I've caused them so much trouble, his mind said.

   Shut it, growled another part of his mind.

   "Well, I'd untie you but I'm not allowed.." said Lucius. "At least have some water?" Lucius held up the drink and Izzy stared at it for a moment, glaring weakly. "Izzy, please," Lucius said, a tone of softness he hated and they both knew he didn't deserve. He took a sip.

   They were both quiet for a bit afterward. Izzy was just waiting for Lucius to leave. Waiting to be alone again. Lucius ate a piece of food from the tray. Izzy stared at him.

   "Why are you still here?" He asked.

   "I thought I'd stay longer than Captain does. Hope you don't mind," Lucius said with a smile.

   Izzy stared down at the food and his stomach growled loudly at him. Lucius lifted an eyebrow, "You sure you don't want something to eat?"

   Izzy huffed and didn't look at him.

   I deserve this. I'm just doing this to myself.

   Lucius continued to eat.

   "Why is he doing this? Why hasn't he killed me yet? He's very, unfortunately, proved he can kill. Does he just want me to suffer?" Izzy asked.

   Lucius gave him a look, "You can eat at any time. You don't have to be entirely miserable. He just doesn't want to kill you for Edward's sake and probably his own. He's thinking of a plan of what to do with you. So, don't die before he figures it out."

   Izzy looked up at the mention of Edward's name. "How is he..."

   "Hm? How's who?" Lucius asked through a piece of food.

   "...Blackb-" He looked at his feet. "Edward...How is..Edward?"

   "Ah, Edward," Lucius said. He paused, scrunching his face up in thought. "He's doing great, actually. From what I can tell. He's much happier than he was before Stede came back, before throwing me off the ship. He's talking to Stede again, but I'm sure you don't wanna hear about that."

   He's happier...I did nothing but hurt him.

   He's more pathetic. Pirates aren't supposed to be happy.

   I was happy when Eniera was alive. Now, look at me.

   Pathetic and tied up.

   Sad, angry, and alone. The same I was before. Nothing has changed over the years. I've just become more of a dick.

   Izzy nodded. "And Ivan and Fang? How are they?"

   "Oh, Wayyyy happier. They're so much fun to hang out with, actually." Lucius smiled and blushed. "Fang's a surprisingly good kisser too~"

   Izzy gave Lucius a disgusted look.

   "Oh, sorry, didn't mean to say that out loud. But it's true."

   Izzy's head hit the pole behind him and he looked dead up at the ceiling. "This truly is a fate worse than death."

   Lucius rolled his eyes, "Oh, don't be dramatic, you're creating most of the misery yourself. All Captain did was tie you to the mast. He'd have probably untied you by now if you stopped being such a dick and actually ate something."

   "But it's a fate worthy of me, isn't it? I know you lot hate me so I have no doubt you think the same. I deserve this. I deserve such a punishment even if it's of my own making," Izzy said with a slight smile. "I mean, I caused all of this myself, didn't I? I might as well continue it. Right?" Izzy breathed harshly, he was manic with exhaustion and the pain of being alone with his own thoughts, "There's no point in continuing this life if all I'm going to be doing is fighting myself and being the constant barrier between others and their own happiness. Of Edward's happiness. I mean, it's pathetic, really, but Edward was never one to truly listen to me in the past." Izzy stared sadly at the ceiling. "I just have to hope that this happiness doesn't kill him in the end...It'd be unfortunate if all my hard work went to waste...Then again, it's probably what I deserve." Izzy looked down and stared intensely at Lucius. His eyes were glossed over with tears that threatened to fall as he continued to speak. "If your pathetic bitch of a Captain isn't even going to punish me properly then I might as well do it myself, right? I already know Hell awaits me with open arms. I might as well prepare myself for the inevitable."

   Lucius stared back with wide, terrified eyes. "Good God, you need therapy," he whispered.

   Izzy sat back and pulled his knees up to his chest as if to try and shield himself from the horrified pity in Lucius's gaze. "Get out," his voice cracked.

   Lucius continued to stare, horrified, "What?"

   "GET OUT," Izzy yelled. Lucius got up so quickly that he tripped over his own feet and left the room, only having half the mind to grab the tray and lantern as he left. Izzy curled up in as tight of a ball as he could and sobbed. Tears ran down his face in waves and he didn't entirely know why. Everything was overwhelming and his body ached from fatigue and lack of food.

He was alone again.

   Pathetic. A once proper pirate who's become nothing but a little bitch, along with his captain. A shell of a man who lost to Stede fucking Bonnet. You're a joke and a moron. I hope you rot in Hell and I hope your beloved Eniera watches, then at least your screams will make her laugh one last time. They'll see what you've become and hate you with every fiber of their being and regret ever marrying you. So pathetic not even Blackbeard would want you on his crew anymore.

   He's not Blackbeard anymore! It's Edward!

   Blackbeard! Blackbeard! Blackbeard!

   His name is Edward!

   Blackbeard!

   Edward!-

   "SHUT UP!" Izzy shouted. "SHUT UP- FOR FUCKS SAKE SHUT UP- PLease!" He sobbed. "Stop talking! Just please-" He wished he could cover his ears. They were so loud. He slammed his head repeatedly against the mast he was tied to to try and shut the voices up but they didn't stop, both voices fighting until he eventually cried himself to sleep, which took a lot longer than expected. He was so hungry.

   Lucius marched above deck where Stede was about to walk into his room.

   "Oh, Lucius! There you are, I was wondering-"

   "You better think of a plan and think of one quick," Lucius said. He pointed towards where he had just come from. "Because that bitch down there needs therapy and he needs it fucking badly." Lucius started to walk away. "And don't you ever send me down there again, you have him tied there, he's your problem."

   "W-what?" Stede said. He stood there, confused. "What happened while he was down there?"

   Day ???

   Something slapped intense but gentle against Izzy's face, a hand maybe? "Izzy! Izzy!!" A voice shouted in his ear. It sounded like Stede's. Izzy opened his eyes and saw Stede pacing back and forth, seemingly worried.

   "Oh, no! We were gone for too long and he died! What should I do? Edward isn't going to be happy about this! Oh shit, oh shit!"

   Izzy shifted slightly where he was sitting. His head hurt so much, his eyes and throat felt so dry, and he felt so exhausted he could barely speak. His mind was so occupied by how hungry he was that he was barely able to take in his surroundings. He felt like puking.

   "Stede?" Izzy said softly. He sounded lost.

   Stede turned to Izzy, "Izzy! Oh, thank goodness!" He stepped forward and cupped his face and Izzy couldn't help but compare it to Eniera's touch. So soft, yet rough. Gentle but grounding. If his eyes weren't so dry he would have probably started to tear up. "Are you alright? Still alive in there?"

   Izzy nuzzled Stede's hand. He was so out of it, but he was still alive. Stede tried not to pull away so suddenly when Izzy leaned into the touch. He pulled away slowly and actually felt bad when he heard Izzy whimper.

   He sat down on the floor. "Sorry for not visiting you for 4 days. Things popped up and we couldn't be on the ship and I forgot you were still aboard...Hope you're not too mad at me for that." Stede held out a cup and Izzy quickly drank from it without protest. He looked at Stede with dull eyes.

   "4 days?" Izzy asked.

   Stede nodded, "Sorry..."

   Izzy shifted in his spot. He felt cold. "But Lucius was just here yesterday...I think."

   Stede gave him a confused look, "No one was on the ship yesterday or the day before. I mean, we had some maintenance crew to come over and fix the ship but that was mostly from the outside." Stede's eyes widened, "Have you been asleep for the past 4 days?"

   Izzy shrugged slightly. He doesn't remember much of anything just being hungry and cold.

   "Well, I do have some good news!" Stede said brightly.

   "Gettin' rid of me, finally?" Izzy asked. "I've always thought execution was a good way to go..You'd get payback.."

   Stede scrunched his face up in concern, "Uh..no...I plan on doing the opposite. I plan on untying you! In fact, I'm going to do that now!"

   "What?"

   Stede got up and went behind Izzy to untie the ropes around his hands. He stared at them for a few moments before he started to pull randomly at the ropes. Izzy yelped as the ropes squeezed tighter around his tenderly bruised wrists and Stede immediately stepped back. "Actually, I'm going to go get Lucius to untie you..Then we'll have something to eat and we'll get you tidied up and in some cleaner clothes...We'll have to wash the ones you're wearing now.." Stede opened the door to the room and yelled for Lucius.

   Lucius came over and asked what Stede needed. "Yes, Captain?"

   Stede opened the door further to let Lucius in and then pointed to Izzy, "I need you to untie the ropes...I think I accidentally tightened them because he yelped.."

   Lucius sighed and went over and untied both the ropes with ease. Stede smiled, "Good! Thank you, Lucius!"

   "You're welcome, Captain."

   Stede faced Izzy, "Now you can get up!"

   Izzy attempted to stand up but immediately hit the pole and fell again. He groaned as he landed on the floor once more. He felt too tired to get up and he hadn't been on his feet in a while. His legs and arms felt like jelly.

   Stede pursed his lips, "On second thought-"

   "I'll just go bring down food for the both of you," Lucius said, interrupting Stede.

   "Oh, yes! Would you?"

   Lucius gave Stede a small pat on the shoulder.

   "Thank you," Stede said.

   Lucius nodded and walked out of the room. Stede looked back to see Izzy collapsed on the floor and sat down in front of him. Izzy was taking deep breaths and had his head against the mast. Guilt punched through Stede. "You alright Izzy?" Stede asked.

   Izzy took a deep shuddering breath and nodded. He was exhausted and hungry but he'd be alright. Stede smiled, "Oh, good!" He patted Izzy's ankle. "Don't worry, we'll get you something to eat and then clean you up and you'll be able to rest for as long as you'd like." Guilt continued to run through Stede. "You clearly learned your lesson so...you'll be off punishment!" He chuckled nervously.

Izzy just stared dully at Stede and Stede had to look away. They stayed in mostly silence, besides Izzy's heavy breathing.

Seeing Izzy so weak and vulnerable made Stede miss the angry bickering and bitchiness. It felt so wrong, seeing Izzy so low and the fact that Stede knew he was the cause of his miserable state made him feel even worse.

   Luckily, Lucius entered the room soon enough and passed Stede the trays of food and drinks. Stede thanked Lucius and he left the room. Stede sat one tray down in front of Izzy. "Now, for the love of God, please eat. You're untied now. So there shouldn't be no other reason why you can't eat." Izzy just continued to stare at Stede. He wanted to move but he physically couldn't. His body felt too heavy. Like an anchor had been tied to each of his limbs. "I-Izzy, please eat," Stede said.

   Izzy looked down at the food and felt his emotions start to build. He wanted to so badly but he couldn't.

   Fucking move already! His brain yelled.

   Stede furrowed his eyebrows, "Izzy, eat now!"

   Izzy looked at him and then at the food.

   Stede shook his head in confusion, "What?"

   Izzy huffed in audible frustration, "I can't." Came his scratchy, exhausted voice.

   "What?" Stede asked. "What do you mean you can't?"

   "I can't!" Izzy cried. "I can't!"

   "Oh..okay. Okay, well, do you want- can I?" Stede reached for his food and held it out for Izzy to eat. "Is this alright?"

   Izzy took a bite, not even thinking about how humiliating the whole affair was. He moaned at the first bite causing Stede to turn pink. He smiled, "It's good, isn't it?"

   Tears welled up in Izzy's eyes, everything was so much. He nodded as best he could. It tasted amazing, the best thing he'd ever eaten.

   "More, please?" Izzy asked and Stede lifted his eyebrows in surprise.

   "A 'please,' well, isn't that the first."

   Izzy glared weakly at him.

   "Okay, uncalled for, sorry," Stede said.

   Stede continued to feed Izzy and after they were done eating Stede helped Izzy get himself cleaned up and changed into some cleaner clothes. Stede allowed him to wear one of his silk robes and rest on the settee. Something they must have gotten while they were gone. It felt nice. It felt weird. He didn't know if he liked this or even deserved this but he didn't have much of the mind to argue, he still felt exhausted.

   Edward walked into the room and sat down at the end of the couch, next to Izzy's feet. "Hey, Iz," he said. Izzy didn't look at him. Edward shifted uncomfortably on the couch. "I'm glad you're not dead...sorry we forgot you.."

   Izzy hummed, "Probably should have just let me die. 'M a twat and you know it." Izzy looked at Edward. "Glad to know you don't entirely hate me though..and that you're happier."

   Edward smiled, "Yeah..Stede's great...I'm on punishment though."

   Izzy struggled to sit up. "Yeah?"

   Edward nodded, "Yeah..I'm no longer a Captain anymore and I have to sleep on the couch for now.."

   Izzy nodded, "Not nearly as shitty as mine was.."

   "Well, you did constantly push his buttons and you kinda made your punishment worse," Edward said.

   Izzy put his arms over his stomach, "I never said I didn't deserve it. I know I did. I just don't know why he didn't go all the way. Should have chucked me to sea or let me starve. I was being stubborn, yet he still kept trying...He's fucking insane."

   Edward chuckled, "Damn right, he is! That's what makes him so great."

   Izzy grumbled, "I would go that far.."

   They stayed silent for a moment before Edward said, "You look good in silk. You look... comfortable, it's a nice look on you."

   Izzy blushed and pulled his knees up to hide his face, "Shut the fuck up."

   Edward smiled.

   Izzy looked away. "Sorry for being such a dick to you over the years...for making you mad..Fucking with your relationship with Stede..calling you a twat and shell of a man. You were just happy and I ruined it."

   Edward sat back and sighed, "It's fine, mate. You were only doing your job, what you thought was right. You were reinforcing the things I taught you and drilled in your brain...When I recruited you I took advantage of you at your most vulnerable. I made you harness your grief into anger and made you my first mate because you were good at it. You were in no mental state to become a pirate again. I only saw you as a weapon to be harnessed back then."

   Izzy looked at Edward, admiration and gratefulness leaking from him from every pore, "But I'm grateful you did recruit me. Who knows where I would be if you hadn't." He looked off to the side. "I'd probably be dead somewhere or forever a drunkard in Jackie's bar..." He shifted on the couch. "You gave me something to do. Gave me something to occupy my mind, a distraction."

   "It wasn't a good distraction," said Edward. "I don't think it was a healthy one either."

   Izzy shrugged, "But at least it was something. Whether it be being stabbed, a raid, or you sending me off to scout an area, I had something to focus on that wasn't my mind..and I'm beyond grateful for that."

   They stayed silent for a moment. Edward looked down at Izzy's body and his eyes landed on his feet, which were currently bare at the moment, he winced slightly at the sight of his missing toe. He looked away. "Uh..sorry for cutting off your toe, man..."

   Izzy shrugged, "I made you mad. I deserved it."

   "Me being mad doesn't excuse the fact I hurt you, Izzy," Edward said.

   "It's fucking fine, Edward. It's in the past. Don't worry about it."

   Silence again.

   "Maybe we should start over..." Edward said softly.

   "We...can do that?" Izzy asked.

   Edward nodded, "If me and Stede can then why can't we?" He gave Izzy a soft look, "...Would you want that?"

   Izzy swallowed hard, voice thick with emotion, "I would like that a lot..If it'll make you happy."

   Edward put a hand on Izzy's knee, "It would make me more than happy, mate."

   Izzy smiled and so did Edward. Stede walked into the room. "Izzy!" He said. "Here's the ring that was around your tie." He held it out to Izzy. "I wanted to give it to you before I forgot."

   Izzy hesitated before taking the ring. He slowly put the ring on his right ring finger and took a deep breath to keep himself from crying.

   It's only for now, he told himself. Just until you get your clothes back.

   "It's a beautiful ring," Stede said. "And wonderfully well kept."

   Izzy nodded and looked up at Stede, "Thanks."

   Edward grabbed his shoulder and gave it a comforting squeeze. Izzy gave Edward a small smile before looking back down at the ring, twisting it on his finger. It really was a beautiful ring. It's a shame that every time he looked at it he wanted to weep.

   "Welp," Stede said. "We should probably let you rest. Let's go, Edward." Edward started to get up but Izzy quickly grabbed at his robes.

   "Wait-" Edward and Stede both turned around and Izzy immediately let go of Edward's robes. He curled up further on the couch. "Could..." He flushed red. "Could you both...stay?" He asked. "I need to say something to Bonnet anyway.."

   Edward looked at Stede, surprise evident on both of their faces. Stede looked between Izzy and Edward and a small smile bloomed on his face. He nodded to Edward. Edward turned back around, "Uh, sure mate. We can stay."

   Izzy moved over so both could sit on either side of him and he curled up to try and take up the least amount of space as possible. He could already feel his face start to heat up.

   "You wanted to tell me something?" Stede asked.

   "Yes," Izzy said through gritted teeth.

   "Well, what is it?"

   Izzy didn't say anything.

   "Well?" Stede asked. He leaned forward to try and see Izzy's face. "Izzy?"

   "Shut up!" Izzy shouted. "Give me a fucking moment."

   Edward placed a hand on his knee and gave him an encouraging smile, "It's okay, mate. Take your time."

   Izzy scowled to himself before forcing himself to relax. He let out a breath through his nose. "I can't believe I'm about to say this.." he muttered before saying, "I just wanted to say...I'm....sorry...for everything." He looked down as he played with his ring and continued to speak. "I'm sorry I spit in your face and did that...weird thing with your hand earlier when I was out of it. I...I wasn't thinking straight then. I'm also sorry I dueled you and was unnecessarily rude to you. I was being a twat."

   Stede smiled, "Aww, Izzy-"

   "And even though I still think you're a fucking idiot and a shit pirate and a even shittier captain who has no idea what he's doing-"

   "Okay-"

   "You didn't deserve to be treated that way...and for that, I'm sorry... Although, I will admit, your sword work has gotten better, even if your footwork needs improvement. You clearly know how to handle yourself. " Izzy looked at Stede. "...A-And, if it isn't too much of a hassle and you're willing, I wanted to ask...if we could start over and I'll try to be less of a dick than I usually am...Not that I'm guaranteeing anything." He lowered his knees and looked at the ring on his hand. "I still don't understand why you let me live after all the stupid shit I put you through but I guess you could say I'm grateful and that I technically owe you my life...and I hate owing people..." Izzy glanced up at Stede who had the mushiest smile on his face.

   "Oh, Izzy- mph!" Izzy shoved a hand over Stede's mouth. His face was burning red.

   "No! Not another word!" Izzy said. "Whatever it is you're going to say, I don't wanna hear it!"

   Stede gently lowered Izzy's hand from his mouth, he still had a soft smile on his face. "Fine, I won't say anything. But how about this?" Stede held his hands. "Hug?" He asked. Izzy hesitated before moving closer to hug Stede. It felt surprisingly nice...too nice. He burried his face into Stede's chest to try and hide himself from the niceness. It didn't work.

   Nice felt weird, especially since not 3 days ago Izzy would have never even thought about even touching Stede, let alone hug him.

   Edward looked at the pair with a slight pout, he wanted to join in. Stede held out his hands for Edward to join. Edward's face brightened at the invitation and he slammed his body against the both of them, making Izzy yelp.

   Edward chuckled, "Sorry, mate! I just wanted to join in on the fun!"

   Izzy grumbled at being squished between them but he made no effort to try and leave the hug. Eventually, Stede and Edward pulled away, leaving Izzy feeling very fuzzy and light-headed.

   Stede got up from the couch and walked to his now extremely limited library. "You should probably rest up now, dear boy. Regain your strength." Stede sat down in a nearby chair, slipping on his reading glasses. "And don't you worry, we'll both be right here if you need anything."

   Edward laid down on one end of the couch, cushioning his head on the pillows behind him. "Yup. I'm gonna rest up too. Just wake me if ya need anythin'."

   Izzy laid on the opposite end of the couch. He felt comfortable and warm. He felt weird and a bit overwhelming but that's okay, he'd get used to it eventually. He'd hopefully learn to like this feeling. But right now he needed rest. But before his mind shut off completely to rest a thought popped into his head that made his chest feel warm.

   I'm not so alone.

This is Eniera Hands. I saw a tweet theory a long while ago now of how Izzy might have had a spouse or something that died and my brain when feral over it and created this. That single tweet started my obsession with Izzy Hands. I hope to be able to draw then again because I really do like Eniera and I've come up with little story based things for them and written some stuff down. I really do love them and the thought of Izzy once being genuinely happy with someone only for it to be taken away from him and leaving nothing but an empty shell of grief and depression that gets turned into an angry weapon obsessed and in love with Blackbeard makes my heart ache in the best way. There are some things I may change here because I've been in the fandom for a bit by now but I still like the idea that he got his ring from a past spouse.
