England 23 - 29 Scotland
In a nerve shredding classic at Twickenham, Scotland have managed their third game unbeaten in a row, away to England.
Rarely straying beyond one score, England were in it all match, but Scotland had the confidence and skill to overcome them, despite injuries keeping a lot of their players off the pitch.
England felt a bit underwhelming in attack at times, which isn’t encouraging for the rest of their tournament, meanwhile Scotland are on the front foot for their match against wales next week.
Gregor Townsend may have some questionable results on the whole, but he seems to know how to beat England, and a lot of Scotland fans will take pride in that, if nothing else.

Henry IV took the opportunity given by the defeat of the Percies to amend the form of indentures with his wardens. Neville [earl of Westmoreland] was retained to raise a force of fifty men-at-arms and 100 archers; John [of Lancaster, the king's son] was to have twice this number. The wardens were to be paid the usual wages for these soldiers. Thus the principle of payment in gross was dropped, but the practice of retaining a warden in time of truce was continued; in the event of war, the wardens were to double their forces. The tendency to grant long terms of office remained: the indentures sealed by John and Neville in 1403 retained them for seven years, and in 1408 they were re-engaged for a further six years. These later indentures were set aside on 25 January 1411. The royal council was now under the influence of Henry, prince of Wales; it was active in preparing measures to reform the administration and reduce expenditure. One of its measures was to restore the practice of paying the wardens in gross, without specifying the number of forces they were to engage. The rates introduced were £5,000 a year in wartime and £2,500 in peace or truce, for the east march, and half these amounts for the west. As John should have been receiving nearly £4,000 a year for his force of 100 men-at-arms and 200 archers, the new scales made a considerable saving for the exchequer; they were a great deal lower than the enormous sums which the Percies had been drawing. The 1411 scales for the east march remained unchanged for fifty years, while they were not reduced for the west march until 1436. Neville and John were allowed the same term of office as had been agreed in their indentures of 1408. Henry V preferred shorter terms: he allowed his wardens either two or three years.

Since the Six Nations Rugby Competition (is it a cup?) is still going on:
What's Jonesy's stance on rugby? Is she a die-hard Wales fan, or does she enjoy the snacks more? Does she get into debates with the 141 and Mac about the qualities of each team?
Please give me more Jonesy lore, I'm jonesin' for it. (I'm not sorry for that pun. I will never stop, I'm only slightly sorry.)
Please never stop making jonesin' jokes, I love them and they make me laugh every single time.
Jonesy LOVES rugby. She is absolutely a die-hard fan and if she can get her leave sorted just right she's absolutely attending the Wales home game at the millennium stadium to cheer on the boys!
Given half the chance Jonesy can (and will) talk all of the team and Mac's ear off about the various line ups for the 'Home Nations' (Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland) teams.
I was mulling this over about who Jonesy debates when it comes to rugby and I think I've settled on her choosing Price to be her (willing) victim to the rugby rants. I think Gaz is probably more into football than rugby, Soap is an equal opportunity rugby and football fan (but will only watch Scotland games), and Ghost doesn't want to hear a damn thing about any of it.
So, that being said, Wales is Jonesy's team. She lives and dies for every try, every fumbled pass, every tackle. However, she will absolutely watch other nation's games (gotta keep an eye on who's winning the championship and who's getting the wooden spoon). If Wales aren't playing then she supports whichever team Isn't England (e.g England vs Ireland, she supports Ireland.) much to Price's irritation.
(Please don't talk to Jonesy about this years Six Nations, she'll sulk for hours. The Ireland v Wales game in particular had her sat with her head in her hands as Mac blew up her phone with endless gloating texts. 31 - 7. Ouch.)

Sanremo comes to an end tonight. I’ll confess, I haven’t been watching each night, but I have taken the time to check out all the competing songs, and here’s my ranking:
Mahmood – Tuta gold
Ricchi e Poveri – Ma non tutta la vita
Alfa – Vai!
La Sad – Autodistruttivo
Clara – Diamanti grezzi
Dargen D’Amico – Onda alta
Il Tre – Fragili
Annalisa – Sinceramente
Loredana Bertè – Pazza
BigMama – La rabbia non ti basta
Irama – Tu no
Sangiovanni – Finiscimi
The Kolors – Un ragazzo, una ragazza
Emma – Apnea
Fiorella Mannoia – Mariposa
Geolier – I’ p’ me, tu p’ te
Angelina Mango – La noia
Fred De Palma – Il cielo non ci vuole
Renga & Nek – Pazzo di te
Ghali – Casa mia
Maninni – Spettacolare
Diodato – Ti muovi
Mr. Rain – Due altalene
Bnkr44 – Governo punk
Il Volo – Capolavoro
Alessandra Amoroso – Fino a qui
Santi Francesi – L’amore in bocca
Rose Villain – Click Boom!
Gazzelle – Tutto qui
Negramaro – Ricominciamo tutto
Firstly, Mahmood was far and away my clear standout with Tuta gold. There’s something so effortlessly catchy about Mahmood’s style, and his distinct voice and charisma as a performer really set him apart for me. I like how it uses the little phone tone sound in the chorus as a hook and also to tie into the lyrics of the song. In fact, the song as a whole is really well produced, and I honestly want to listen to it over and over.
That said, there are still plenty of other great entries here. I found Ricchi e Poveri’s performance very memorable with them wrapped in the giant bow at the start, and the track itself is fun and exciting, and really benefits from the Sanremo orchestra, with all those violins going at the start. Vai! was another song I distinctly remembered after just one listen, with that little whoo-hoo and accompanying whistle making for a very catchy hook. I really enjoy the energy of the song and how uplifting it sounds. Autodistruttivo is a solid rock song, the ‘oh-ooh-oh’s might be a little generic but the overall punchy sound of the song is great, and I like La Sad’s distinctive look. I also really like Diamanti grezzi, it’s another song I think is really well produced, I especially like how the beat sounds in the pre-chorus.
If Mahmood hadn’t already been to Eurovision twice in the last past five years, he’d definitely be my pick to go. In fact, I like Tuta gold enough that I probably would be excited to see him in this year’s Eurovision too, but I’d also be very happy to see Italy send someone else for a change. As usual they’ve got plenty of options – I tended to prefer the upbeat, energetic songs over the ballads this year, but Italy will likely do well with just about any of these songs just thinking about Eurovision. Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to stay up tonight to find out the winner, but I am excited to find out tomorrow who they’re going to send!
