Voltron Sanders Sides AU

Ok so @infinitywarkilledmysoul sent me this image of the Sanders Sides in a Voltron screenshot (the one where everyone is all piled into the blue lion. You know what I’m talking about if you’ve seen the show) and told me to make an AU so here it is. (Spoilers for both series... duh)

First off (she came up with this one) Lance would be Roman for some obvious reasons. I’m going to quote her here... “Okay so from what I know, Lance is cocky, full of himself, and very flirtatious so I think he'd be Roman” which is some very good reasoning and the two definitely go together.

Next let’s do Keith. This one I think is kinda obvious as well. Virgil would be Keith. Both characters have similar arcs. They both start as loners and feel as though they aren’t part of the group. But as the series goes on, they start to bond with the others and they think that protecting the group is all up to them after something bad happens.

Next we’ll move on to Pidge. Another fairly obvious one. Logan would quite easily be Pidge. Both have similar character traits. Both rely on logic and their smarts pretty heavily. They are both organized and use large words that they sometimes have to dumb down for the others (which I think is hilarious).

And now for Patton. This one is more dificult than the others because Patton’s character traits match those of two characters. Hunk and Shiro. Patton matches Hunk’s sensible and sweet mind set as well as his fear for a lot of things. However Patton is canonically the dad character and most people consider Shiro to be the “Space Dad” of the group. So I did a lot of back and fourth between these characters and I decided that Patton and Hunk fit pretty well together. With Shiro it was one part of his personality while with Hunk it would have been nearly his entire personality.

Now for the Dark Sides.

I think that Deciet would be Lotor. In Selfishness VS Selflessness we truely got to see Deciet at his... best? He is manipulative and is (excuse my pun) downright deceitful. There is an entire plot point in Voltron where Lotor is manipulating Allura into using her Altean bloodline for the good of the Gulra.

And finally my favorite stinky rat boy, and newest side, Remus. I did a lot of back and fourth of who Remus would be as well, considering he is so new. I tried to match his main trait, his “lack of a mental filter”, with characters from Voltron and didn’t come up with much. Eventually I settled for Zarkon. Remus seems to be the most powerful Dark Side the Light Sides have gone toe to toe with thus far. Remus and his thoughts kept Thomas up at night and made Thomas think he was insane (with some help from Deciet who gave him the idea but not the point). Zarkon was the leader and he created the Gulra. He was also the black paladin before he made a turn for the dark side.

I suppose I should add Remy and Emile into the mix although they aren’t cannon sides.

I think, from the little I know about him, Emile would be Allura. Now, from what I understand, Emile is the therapist in Cartoon Therapy. Meaning he has to be rather smart. Allura has control of the Castle in the series and becomes the paladin of the blue lion later. Allura is quick to come up with plans and it just makes sense to me that he would be Allura. I don’t know much about the character though, sorry.

And finally Remy. Sleep. The “cool” side. I think he’d be Coran. HEAR ME OUT. Ok, so obviously Coran is the goof ball of the show, but there are a few things (okay fine, it’s one thing) that he does that resides well with me as far as Remy being Coran goes. In the beginning-middle part of the series, there is an episode where Coran is showing off some Altean tech. In doing so, he shows a piece of tech that repeats what you say to it back at you and Coran goes, “Coran, Coran, the gorgeous man!�� And just tell me you can’t see Remy doing that.

Ok! That’s the AU! It took a lot of time and thinking to do this so I really hope you like it!

Hymne à l’amour

C’est avec l’adaptation de « La vie devant soi », présentée au TJP de Strasbourg du 6 au 8 mars 2019, que Simon Delattre revisite l'univers de Romain Gary sous la forme du théâtre de marionnettes. Pour le metteur en scène formé à L’École nationale supérieure des Arts de la Marionnette de Charleville-Mézières « ce roman a été un choc (…) comme lorsque l’on tombe amoureux, on ne sait pas tout expliquer. »

L’œuvre de Romain Gary, signée sous le pseudonyme Emile Ajar, raconte le récit de Momo (Tigran Mekhitarian), jeune garçon sans âge, qui évolue dans le quartier de Belleville dans les années 1970, sous l’oeil attentif de Madame Rosa (Maïa Le Fourn). Gardienne, figure tutélaire et mère de substitution, cette femme courageuse mais névrosée est rongée par son passé. Rescapée des rafles et des trottoirs, cette femme obèse, maintenant âgée, vit dans un appartement ridiculement petit, perché au sommet d’une montagne d’escaliers.

“Dites-le-moi du bout des lèvres, moi je l’entends du bout du cœur [...]”. C’est la voix doucereuse de Nabilla Mekkid qui donne le ton à la pièce, envoûtant la salle. Clope au bec, talons et mini jupe, elle incarne une prostituée du quartier, se positionnant tant en musicienne qu’actrice. Elle accompagne les acteurs de sa voix tout au long de la pièce, mais ses talents d’actrice se limiteront malheureusement à quelques scènes, délaissée sur les planches sans dialoguer avec ce qu’il s’y passe.

Momo se souvient. Ce n’est pas un jeune garçon, mais bien un homme qui se tient devant nous. Avec fragilité, innocence et maladresse, cet ancien gosse nous raconte son histoire. De ses yeux d’enfant, il nous partage ses souvenirs de Monsieur Hamil, du médecin et de Madame Rosa. Ressortent de cet univers imaginaire, longs cous, têtes cabossées, corps trop longs ou trop larges de ces personnages. Maïa Le Fourn est affublée d’un costume fat body, censé illustrer le corps malade, obèse, du personnage, le laissant faussement peiner à marcher.

La scénographie épurée est composée d’un cube au sein duquel prennent place quatre lieux distincts : un immeuble composé d’un petit appartement et d’une cave, le tout est relié par de grands escaliers qui mènent à la rue. C’est sur ces escaliers que prend vie le personnage de Monsieur Hamil.

Ce vieil homme du quartier est fidèle au poste. Figure du grand-père, cette marionnette fixée à la chaise d’une terrasse de café est activée de l’extérieur par Nicolas Goussef. Lui, ne se souvient plus. Il oublie ses amours. Son passé et son histoire sont comme évaporés. C’est un exemplaire des Misérables (qu’il confond avec le Coran), gardé précieusement à portée de main, qui devient son présent. À tel point qu’il ira jusqu’à renommer Mohamed : “mon petit Victor” (Hugo).

“Peut-on vivre sans amour ?” Cette question taguée à la bombe sur un mur au fond de la salle, taraude Momo tout au long de la pièce. Il se cherche, pose des questions. On se met dans la peau de cet enfant, à qui personne ne répond véritablement. Ses interrogations sont naïves mais pures et vraies. Malgré ses questions sans réponse, Momo a l’amour de Madame Rosa et il le lui rend bien.

Il prend soin de cette femme atteinte de tous les maux de vieillesse. Essoufflée au moindre mouvement, lente, les escaliers en deviennent presque un supplice insurmontable. Elle reste donc dans son canapé dans l’attente que le docteur calme ses névroses avec des cachets. Constamment visitée par Monsieur Katz, médecin de famille, Madame Rosa a deux craintes : avoir le cancer et être raflée. Dès que ces souvenirs remontent à la surface, c’est dans sa cave, qu’elle réfugie son enveloppe corporelle meurtrie. Jusqu’au bout, le médecin, complice de Momo, laissera cette femme, mourir “à la maison” et non pas comme un “légume” à l’hôpital.  Elle ne finira pas sa vie dans un mouroir, lui ne commencera pas la sienne dans un orphelinat.

La mort digne cherchée par Madame Rosa est ici bafouée par le grotesque de la situation.

Sa mère partie, nous ne nous demandons ce qu’il adviendra de Momo car il est éveillé et débrouillard. Malgré ce récit effroyable, ce jeune garçon en gagnant quatre années, est presque devenu un homme. “Je te le dis du bout du coeur, mon rêve, il faut aimer”. Dernière phrase d’une chanson de Barbara reprise par Momo pour clore la pièce, apporte une possible réponse au désarroi ambiant à travers un message d’espoir, propre au roman de Romain Gary.

.02. La importancia del Lenguaje en el contexto de juego.

“No es una nación la que habitamos, sino un lenguaje. No te equivoques; nuestra lengua madre es nuestra verdadera patria.” - Emil Coran, filosofo Rumano.

La lengua o el idioma, dos denominaciones similares para la más grande invención del ser humano. Desde las cavernas hasta nuestros días, cada país tiene su propio lenguaje, como un código que nos permite transferir información, seguirá existiendo y acompañando a la humanidad hasta su extinción.

Se hace en este apartado dado que dentro del juego va a cobrar importancia tanto en la jugabilidad como en su desarrollo general. Inserto en el contexto y en la cultura local existirá la jerga, los lenguajes en “código”, el lenguaje proveniente de los entes del otro lado del Reloj de arena o incluso algún NPC que tal vez podría manejar un idioma extranjero.

Objetivos pendientes:

Incorporar e interrelacionar nuestros conocimientos y el conjunto ordenado de letras que hemos desarrollado en nuestros previos alfabetos para producir “la lengua de los entes”.
