"You're ruining my reputation, Mister Wayne. -That's the price you pay for my assistance in crime-fighting, Ms. Gordon. -Down here, that's Batgirl. -As you command, but be good to me, or I'll tell Gotham about this cave hidden under it's civic center."

Schmitty: How could you? I... trusted you!
Redacted: Like a brother. I know — I worked on that. I had to make sure we bonded.

kara and the amazons 🫶 would love if they made kara training on themyscira a prominent part of her story after she lands on earth. sad that they haven't touched on it since post crisis, i don't even think her and diana have had a meaningful interaction since sg vol 5 :\

What do you think a female Batman and male catwoman to be like
there's an Elseworlds story depicting Batgirl as the protector of Gotham and Supergirl instead of Superman.
Let me tell you: Babs is a total Psycho, much worse than Bruce and Kara is an idiot, a lot more than Kal-El, if possible. I think it was called "Elseworlds's Finest" o something ironic like that.
Tumblr media
Female Batso would only work in a total gender swap society. It is important Bruce is a male to have the respect of Gotham's both: criminals and authorities. It would not work for a chick. That's why, I think, they made Batgirl a complete lunatic in the story I'm referring.
There are certain personality traits which can only work for a male, no offense intended, girls. You may be getting there, but not yet there.
Catman. Feline is mostly associated to females. There may be a male cat bulglar, but the seduction and deviousness of a woman are not replazable. The only associations male had with felines, throughout history, were Lions and tigers and big cats. Let's not forget the cat goddess of the Egyptians was Bastet, a girl.
Take for example the serial "It Takes a Thief". Alexander Mundy was a perfect example on how a male thief could work. Much like an international adventurer and jet-set member and disguise master. not in a leather catsuit.

When a Black Canary movie ever comes
For the people that didn't want Jurnee Smollett as Black canary
I don't want to her about "oh she isn't black" when other versions of her are.

“Black Canary/Bluebird."
Grant specifically requested she be African-American, but that was it. I loved the big bird across her torso. Visually, she’s based on Janelle Monae.”

I just hope it'll stop because she did a good job as Dinah Lance despite the movie not being all that good.

I adore it, I’m actually writing up a script on it in the future so we’ll see where that turns out :P But I do recommend it for others to read too!

"But she can't tell about what happened that day... The day of the movie... She loved the movie... But after it, when the Wayne family was threatened by Joe Chill... Her dad was a cop. Sworn to protect. He took his duty very seriously. Mom tried to stop him, pull him back... but then... they both... fell down. Her whole world died... and a new creature of the night was born. Orphaned, Barbara was taken in by the Wayne family... She began preparing... finding the cave... and the denizens of its dark... Making crime pay for its own persecution... Developing the electronic arquitecture for Oracle... Being discovered by Bruce, who added his own talent and Wayne money to the cause... all this created Batgirl."

Really hoping DC will give Kara similar hair to Sasha in the comics. Like, I know they won't change the color, but that style is too perfect for her, plus she only just got her hair cut for it to be her normal length again in Action, while short/a bob everywhere else (but shorter than that is cuter and better for her imo).
oh i agree 100% i think sasha's hair is soo cute. kara had a similar hair style in elseworld's finest: batgirl & supergirl, which is where i think they're getting their inspiration from for her look in the movie.

i think if they're gonna have it long it should be hella curly like how it was in the 80s <3

"It is to laugh, huh Mister J?"
Harley Quinn, created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, was once intended to serve as a one-and-done character for an episode of Batman: The Animated Series. However, due to the charm of her voice actress (and real life inspiration) Arleen Sorkin, audiences around the world quickly grew attached to the jester and her antics. Harley would make her first comic appearance in 1993 with The Batman Adventures #12, a series which tied into the beloved cartoon. It wasn’t until 1999 that the Cupid of Crime made her main continuity debut in Batman: Harley Quinn. Since then, Harley has starred in a surplus of comics, television shows, video games, movies, and more. There are also several different interpretations of the character within this collection of media.
Under the cut is an extensive list of recommended content that captures the true essence of Harley Quinn, as your official QUINN-tessential reading and watching guide! For easy navigation, the guide has been divided into six main categories: BTAS Verse, Pre-Flashpoint, Post-Flashpoint, Elseworlds, Television + Film, and Other Media.
Basic Content
Batman: The Animated Series
The New Batman Adventures
The Batman Adventures: Mad Love (1993)
Batman: Harley Quinn (1999)
Harley Quinn (2000) #1-25
Gotham City Sirens (2009)
Please note that this guide does not contain every appearance of Harley Quinn. Most notably in the Post-Flashpoint, Elseworlds, and Television + Film categories. What it does contain, however, is a carefully constructed collection of what is essential when it comes to learning about Harley as a character.
Moreover, this guide is also quite lengthy! For a shortened version, follow the options which are bolded.
