NADINE DUPONT ( she/her ) is a CISGENDER WOMAN, FORTY-ONE year old OWNER OF BRINIE BAR who has been living in Moorbrooke for THREE YEARS. They were born on NOVEMBER 19th and right now, they are currently residing in ELMSETT GREEN. It has been said that they look suspiciously like ELODIE YUNG and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose tongues & teeth by the crane wives.

parents died of an apparent OD when she was two years old (dad was a dealer and mom was an addict who’d found herself wrapped up in his spell). Nadine always wondered if there was more to this story.

She entered into foster care and was adopted at the age of 6 by a nice enough family. Nadine was a quiet kind of kid who stuck to herself. In her teenage years, found that she had a talent for drawing though her art always bordered on the macabre and it frightened her parents. So, naturally, they forced her to see a therapist. Therapy didn’t really work.

Nadine attempted college but ended up dropping out. It was then that she began to work as a stripper at a gentleman’s club. Nadine quickly learned how to use her natural charms to gain secrets. It was amazing the things she’d learn just by smiling pretty and applying the right pressure to her patrons… and it was even more amazing the kind of money certain people would pay for these secrets.

She did this for a few years until she met the man who would change her life. He was famous — a defense lawyer who’d had a few high profile cases. He promised to provide everything for her if Nadine would be his live in girlfriend. She agreed and left the club behind.

Just months into the arrangement, Nadine began to secret money away into a private bank account. It was during this time that she also learned to fight. She found herself unwilling to be a pawn in the game that powerful men played. When she had enough, she left the arrangement. He’d done nothing wrong; she’d just found herself disillusioned by his brand of power. He’d marketed himself as a strong man, but Nadine had learned early on that even powerful men could be controlled.

It was then that she met Ezra. She wasn’t expecting to fall in love, but there was something about that man… and she definitely wasn’t expecting to end up pregnant. It terrified her especially when she found out about Ezra’s job. It felt as if she was always finding herself drawn to darkness.

A month after her child was born, Nadine once again left. She’d lost her parents to the dangers of drugs, and while her lifestyle wasn’t anymore morally appropriate, she was determined to provide better for her child.

Three years ago, she moved to Moorbrooke. She used the money she’d secreted away to purchase Brinie Bar — the bar and gentleman’s club. She’s determined to elevate it into something classy and sophisticated.

Nadine is incredibly protective of the people who work for her. She’d been in their position once. She knew what it was like to feel powerless and she didn’t want that for any of them. She’s determined to keep them safe at all times and will not hesitant to throw a patron out if they get too handsy with her dancers or fail to follow her rules. While the club runs on discretion, Nadine makes sure she knows enough about each patron who enters her club just so that she can keep her employees safe.

A few months ago, Nadine purchased a warehouse on the outskirts of town. There, she runs a weekly fight club. It’s invite only and all the traditional rules apply.

ok so elodie, kennedy, jasmine, hazel, tennyson, isaiah, leo, and sybil are all very good friends but here’s ur official Squad Dynamics/Squads Within The Main Squad under the cut.

elodie, jasmine, kennedy, and hazel are def the squad within a squad as well as being the focus of the novel. elodie came in freshman year as a scholarship student, and, at first, she really didn’t like kennedy. she thought that she was very pretentious and aloof, but, really, kennedy just had a major crush on her, something she’s managed to keep hidden all the way until their senior year of hs. in sophomore year, elodie and kennedy had a ton of classes together and slowly but surely became friends, and elodie learned that kennedy was actually quite sweet when you got to know her. jasmine entered the fold in sophomore year as well. she had been very lonely during her freshman year, her only friend her flighty roommate who spent tons of time partying. her roommate was expelled at the very end of freshman year, and, when jasmine returned to school in the fall, she had a new roommate, the sweet and calm and all-around amazing hazel washington, who was a transfer student. they struck up a frienship right away, eventually joining the #famed suitemate squad when they just. roasted their ap euro teacher together?? after that they were the best of friends. they’re very close and tell each other everything, w/ the exception of kennedy hiding her giant crush on elodie from everyone.

the other characters join the #squad in a variety of ways. elswood has a literary magazine, and kennedy and tennyson met there. normally, kennedy doesn’t make new friends easily, but tennyson was so charming that she quickly struck up a friendship with him. along with tennyson came isaiah, who’s quite possibly the sweetest guy ever and was tennyson’s lab partner in freshman year bio as well as being the person who alerted tennyson’s parents of his eating disorder. for a brief time, tennyson and isaiah didn’t speak, as tennyson was angry that isaiah revealed his shameful secret, but after spending a summer in an inpatient program for his anorexia, he slowly came to realize that isaiah had been doing what was best for him. this sparked a minor crush on isaiah, which has only grown throughout the years, despite tennyson totally believing that isaiah is hopelessly heterosexual, which, in fact, he is not. leo first became friends with jasmine when she joined their school’s drama program in sophomore year. leo had been involved with it the year before and was basically the one who inspired her to join the program – in november of freshman year, she was hanging out in the library late at night, and the librarian had gone to the bathroom and she thought she was alone, so she started singing to herself, and leo, who had been searching for a copy of romeo & juliet for his english class, heard her and fell in love w/ her voice. and later fell in love w/ her yeah boy!! anyways so they had english & bio together and he was like.......yo jasmine.....u should join the drama program.....and for a while she resisted him but in sophomore year she ended up joining! they bonded in sophomore year as ensemble members in legally blonde and they’ve been friends ever since, w/ jasmine eventually pulling leo into the main #squad. finally, sybil was in the same french class as hazel sophomore year. their teacher assigned them partners, and sybil and hazel ended up being partners. they’re both very friendly and charming people, and they clicked instantly. hazel pulled sybil into the #squad after just a few weeks of knowing them.

shshsh so their dynamics are...they’re just very good? very soft? they go on lots of adventures around campus and during breaks. they tell each other everything and would die for each other. it’s just very pure i love them.

→ OVERVIEW:

The Jones family is a famous one in the wizarding world, born into a long line of great and respected sorcerers. What separates Lucille and her younger sister FLORENCE JONES is their ability to be well known in both the wizarding world and the Muggle one. The eldest daughter of Parisian model ELODIE DURAND, Lucille’s birth was announced by a six spread in Vogue and Witch Weekly. She grew up in Fulham, dressed in baby clothes designed by Dior and Givency who gifted them to her mother. Lucille was the pride of their family, their perfect daughter who couldn’t have been more beautiful if mother had dreamed her up. Wanting her children to have standing in both the wizarding and the Muggle world, Lucille and her younger sister attended George Heriot’s Private School. Their alumni included the children of many of Elodie’s inner circle including NATASHA and ANASTASIA DUPONT. Like Lucille’s family the DuPont’s were a blended family of a famous Muggle father and a Pure-Blood famous father. There weren't many families like theirs and prompted a close relationship between the DuPont and the Jones family. Lucille’s mother hoped her daughters would follow in her footsteps, becoming models, actresses or socialites in whichever world they desired and would share in her confidence. 

When Lucille arrived at George Heriot’s, she asserted herself amongst the other girls with an heir of superiority. People in her class were the children of diplomats and ambassadors but it didn’t matter to Lucille. She was a Jones and while her family name meant very little to Muggle children she didn’t allow it to affect how she held herself. When Lucille’s letter to Hogwarts arrived she was overjoyed. The Muggle world had never really held the same allure as it had for her younger sister. Whilst Florence was content ruelling her peers of adoring little Muggle girls Lucille craved more. Sorted into Slytherin, Lucille’s sorting was of great surprise to her family. Whilst her aunt and father had both been proud Gryffindors and her uncle and cousin HESTIA JONES Ravenclaws, no one in the Jones family had been in Slytherin. The house had a bad reputation which contrasted the Jones family but Lucille was proud of her house. She enjoyed it’s connections to powerful wizards, helping her feel closer to her magical side. Despite Hestia being only two years ahead of her at school, Lucille attempted to distance herself from her. The pair had been close growing up but there was something about Hestia she’d always disliked which worsened after she began attending Hogwarts. 

Hestia had the upbringing Lucille wanted. She was a Pure-Blood. Yet all Hestia ever did was moan about how much her parents weren’t there for her, something Lucille enjoyed drawing attention to in a sly yet seemingly sweet way. Though she had ruled with sheer confidence at her Muggle school, Lucille found life at Hogwarts took some adjusting to. Asserting herself within her year group she established what could be considered advantageous friendships with a number of Pure-Blood students including DECIUS FLINT, ARISTAEUS GREENGRASS, TIBERIUS MCLAGGEN and PRIMROSE HOOKUM. Her friends were not particularly concerned about blood status in the beginning but being slightly younger than BELLATRIX BLACK and sharing their time at school with many members of The Sacred Twenty-Eight, blood purity slowly became an unshakable part of many conversations. Suddenly people’s prejudice started coming out of the woodwork, particularly from her two best friends. Decius would make the odd comment about the shame he felt for finding her friend Anastasia attractive, not because she was dating his best friend but because she was a Half-Blood. He would try to assure Lucille he didn’t look down on her because of her Muggle mother, but she knew it was something he only said to appear kind to her. 

Decius loved Lucille like a sister but she knew there was a reason she’d never been asked to his family home. Aristaeus’ opinions in particular pained her the most. A member of the prestigious Greengrass family, his mother CECILY GREENGRASS worked with Lucille’s own family at the Ministry and was privately prejudiced toward those who wished to marry into her family. Although both Aristaeus and his sister disliked their mother and thought her ideology they craved her acceptance and Lucille rarely saw them dating outside their Pure-Blood inner circle. Aristaeus and Lucille flirted often, sharing secrets and sly glances here and there but it quickly became apparent when he began entertaining the advances of one of her close friends ISOLDE TRAVERS rather than Lucille, that her blood status mattered more than she previously thought. Lucille had fallen in love with Aristaeus and she had convinced herself he was in love with her as well, her blood status had ruined it. Lucille became her own worst enemy, she wanted someone she believed had the same standing as her family and closed down the advances of anyone who didn’t fit her specifications. She wanted the same thing for her friends and family, openly taking a dislike to Primrose’s husband ALBERT JORKINS whose family were known blood traitors. 

The ideology had crept in slowly, mostly due to the people she surrounded herself with and a sense of entitlement she’d been raised with. Whereas Florence had run in similar circles and had ignored sneers about her blood status her confidence had earned her the affections of ELEZAR SMITH. Lucille had allowed it to eat her alive and ended up alone. Graduating from Hogwarts Lucille looked to the woman in her family who held the most power for guidance. With an advantageous marriage was off the cards, Lucille had to build her own power and she wasn’t above nepotism to get her there. Her aunt ALICIA AVERY-JONES was Head of the Auror’s office and went through assistants faster than she could often find them. Whilst her friends enjoyed their family money, balls and courting, Lucille sacrificed her personal life and joined the ranks of hardworking Jones women, giving her life to the Ministry and hoping her years of servitude would allow her to rise through the ranks. Although it wasn’t a dream she widely shared, she longed to be the Minister for Magic. Her years spent in Alicia’s close company had allowed her a glimpse of who ran Wizarding Britain and over time she had begun to believe with great conviction that she could do it better. 

Now Alicia’s senior assistant, Lucille is revelling in the power that has come from being able to boss around junior assitant MIRA IYER and having more responsibility. Though Lucille has a soft spot for Mira and considers her a friend, Lucille’s job comes first and she isn’t afraid to pull Mira into line when needed. Although a great deal of Lucille’s life revolves around her job, she can frequently be found in The Grave Affair, drinking with her friends and flirting with the wizarding elite. Having been to the bar a great deal since the Parkinson family took over, Lucille has become well acquainted with it’s bar staff, though it wasn’t until she sat alone at the bar one night after work she became properly acquainted with AMYCUS CARROW. A Pure-Blood wizard from a Twenty-Eight family, the Carrow family had lost their family fortune due to a gambling scandal involving Aristaeus’ mother and had been left disgraced. Amycus wasn’t the sort of boyfriend Lucille looked for. He was rugged, from a disgraced family and worked as a barman but the more she began speaking to him the more he piqued her interest. Lucille is intrigued by the eldest Carrow twin and despite her better judgement often finds her feet carry her towards Knockturn Alley to find out more about him.

FLORENCE JONES is TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS OLD and the HEAD POTIONEER and MAKE-UP ARTIST at MADAM PIMPERNELLES BEAUTIFYING POTIONS in DIAGON ALLEY. She looks remarkably like ERINN WESTBROOKE and considers herself NEUTRAL. She is currently OPEN.

→ OVERVIEW:

A witch with unshakable confidence, Florence Jones has always known she was entitled to the best that life had to offer her and wasn’t afraid to go out and take it with both hands. The youngest child of Muggle fashion model ELODIE DURAND and famed Auror ADRIAN JONES, Florence and her older sister LUCILLE have been famous since the day they were born and have lived their lives on their cover of magazines. With Lucille’s birth announced in a six page spread in French Vogue, her older sister was a tough act to follow but Florence has never felt on the backfoot, even by the eldest Jones sister. Following her sister in style by accompanying her mother on the cover of WItch Weekly. This would set the tone for the rest of Florence’s life, she was unapologetically herself and wore her individuality on her sleeve. Her family name held weight in the wizarding world as a notable and well loved family of sorcerers who fought to protect Wizarding Britain and had produced a long line of brilliant members of the magical community. Whilst the Jones name seemed to sit heavily on her sister, Florence never felt the need to consider anyone else other than herself and lived her life according to her own happiness. 

Growing up in Fulham, Florence and her sister became close to the Dupont family, comprised of a British socialite and a wizard with two daughters. NATASHA DUPONT was several years older than Florence and Lucille, whilst ANASTASIA DUPONT was the same age as Florence. Raised alongside one another, Florence and Anastasia quickly became best friends and forged a cult following at their school. George Heriot’s Private School in London was Florence’s first taste of truly being adored, asserting herself amongst her year group as a voice of authority and giggling with Anastasia as they manipulated others to their every beck and call. Florence was content to stay in the Muggle world if that was what fate decided for her. She enjoyed the power she commanded over her peers and relished in her ability to be able to do it all without needing to flick a wand. But with Jones blood in her veins Florence was born a witch and an argument with another girl in her class about a boy they both had feelings for resulted in Lola Charles croaking and jumping like a frog argument, causing Anastasia to burst out laughing and a scolding from her parents and sister to keep her temper under control. 

Being friends with Anastasia since the pair were dressed in tiny designer baby booties, Florence was used to being friends with big personalities. Florence liked to be the most important person in the room and whilst Anastasia did also, they found attention in different ways which kept them from fighting. When Florence met CAMILLE ROWLE, GENEVIVE AVERY and ANDRESSA PARKINSON on the train to Hogwarts she knew this school would be different from her last one. Camille Rowle in particular was very much like Florence,. Always the centre of attention and the loudest person in the room. Camille would become one of her best friends or her worst enemy, but thankfully it was the former rather than the latter. Sorted into Hufflepuff, Florence breathed a sigh of relief. Sorted away from the other girls, she had room to forge her own following and quickly got to work finding a similar group to govern. LAUREL LINWOOD was someone she met earlier on at school and easily one of the most beautiful witches in their year group. A Muggle-Born part-veela, any sort of innate grace she had was backed up with a sharp tongue and a low tolerance for other people’s sharp edges which made her a perfect friend for Florence. 

STAR DAVENPORT became her Hufflepuff best friend. A quirky party lover who bathed in glitter and liked getting into trouble, they were the breath of fresh air Florence didn’t know she needed. Star and Laurel suited Florence as best friends because they were different to her other friends, they were fun loving and happy enough to go with the flow and be pulled into whatever scheme Florence cooked for them. Whilst other students at Hogwarts longed to work at the Ministry, Florence had her own dream. She wanted to brew her own line of exclusive cosmetics. Growing up with a model for a mother, Florence was used to Chanel and Dior and while magical cosmetics existed she found the luxury market hadn’t quite been cornered. Alongside Star the two would attend potions club and spend their time making the most amazing products that made your hair dazzle and potions that gave your skin a dewy glow. After learning to brew love potions in their sixth year the two began a business selling love potions to their fellow classmates and figuring out who their perfect match is to use their bew on. Though they had the best intentions at heart, a lot of their schemes often ended badly with Florence, Star and Laurel spending a lot of time in detention. 

Florence’s mission has always been to inject love and beauty into the world which is something that has followed her into her adulthood. In love with the idea of love she patiently awaits Valentine's Day each year and where she once decorated the halls of Hogwarts School, she dresses the little shop she works at in Diagon Alley. Both her mother and sister told her that working at Madam Pimpernelles Beautifying Potions was beneath her and although Florence has enough money in the vault to mean she’d never have to work again, it is ESTELLE PIMPERNELLE’s brain she’s after rather than the money. Florence loves her job, though she knows it’s something she wants to do forever. Although Florence has become Madam Pimpernelle’s protégé outside of her work she has been working as a freelance make-up artist, making over the rich and famous for parties and events with her own brand beaty products. Still intent on starting her own line, it seems she is not the only person with that dream. ORLAITH MACMILLAN was once Florence’s protégé and the little sister she never had. The pair remained close though Florence can admit it’s been strange adjusting to Orlaith being all grown up and moving in on her turf rather than being her understudy. 

With her life perfectly in place living in a plush townhouse in Kensington with her best friends and her work life going well, Florence has tried to focus on her own happiness. Florence truly believed she’d never fall in love. The Jones family have always tended to sacrifice work over a functioning lovelife unless the exact right person came along. With her career goals, her perfectionist ways and need to be adored Florence truly didn’t think anyone was up to the task. Then she met ELEZAR SMITH and her outlook completely changed. Elezar was everything her sister Lucille had looked for in a man, but to her suprise he had asked Florence to dance at The Yule Ball last year instead of Lucille. The pair have been dating for almost a year now, leaving Florence to fall very much in love with him. But with someone like Elezar her happiness with him was always destined to be fleeting. As an eligible bachelor in the wizarding world, Elezar has caught the eye of many young witches, including a close friend of Florence’s. Unbeknownst to Florence, Elezar and CECELIA ABBOTT have been growing close since the death of Celia’s friend. Florence truly feels like Elezar could be the one but like any member of her family, Florence is not to be trifled with and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

hey people  how are things here’s the second movie I made with them talented people there: @hiiragi-salome @yaris-art @melimeclo Elodie Ferrer and Lou Maurice de Reparaz  it’s about dogs  and fights and dogs fighting did I mention there were dogs? More seriously, we had 2 weeks to make a short film on a music composed by a student from a Conservatory(?) we were in partnership with. His name is Benoit Dupont and he did a fantastic job and if he has a website you can check his work on I’ll update this post to put it.  Hope you’ll enjoy what you see and hear, it was 2 intense weeks but great nonetheless.
