Ellie knew Kenny was trouble the moment he leaned in too close, his breath warm against her cheek, his voice low enough to make her shiver.

"You keep looking at me like that, Ellie," he murmured, "and I might start thinking you want something."

She scoffed, turning her face away just enough to hide the blush creeping up her neck. "Shut up, Kenny."

But Kenny just chuckled, his fingers ghosting over her knee beneath the shared blanket. They were back on her rooftop, their usual spot, where the city lights stretched below them, but tonight—tonight felt different. Charged.

Ellie swallowed hard, her heart knocking against her ribs. Kenny had always been close—leaning over her shoulder to read messages, slinging an arm around her waist like it was the most natural thing in the world. But this? This was something else.

She could feel the heat of his body beside her, could feel his gaze on her even when she wasn’t looking. And when she finally turned her head to meet his eyes, she regretted it immediately.

Because Kenny wasn’t just looking at her.

He was devouring her.

Ellie felt her pulse stutter, her breath catching somewhere in her throat. "Kenny—"

"Yeah?" His voice was a whisper now, teasing, tempting.

She licked her lips, and his eyes definitely followed the movement. "You’re—"

"Too close?" He smirked, but he didn’t move away. If anything, he inched closer, his forehead nearly brushing hers, the air between them turning thick with something unspoken.

Ellie exhaled shakily. "Not close enough."

Kenny stilled. For half a second, neither of them moved.

Then, as if gravity itself had decided for them, he closed the space between them.

His lips met hers in a slow, lazy kiss—like he had all the time in the world to taste her, to savor every second. Ellie melted, her fingers curling into the fabric of his orange hoodie as he deepened the kiss, his hand sliding up to cradle the back of her neck.

When they finally pulled apart, both breathless, Kenny let out a soft laugh. "Took you long enough."

Ellie rolled her eyes, but her smile betrayed her. "Shut up and kiss me again."

And he did.

This time, neither of them held back.

Kaya is a bit insane, destructive, and often looks at Elni for guidance, but she’s a good listener
