Characters from my untitled original (Ties That Bind...?=> TEMPORARY BOOK TITLE=> IT MAY CHANGE)
(to be updated, revised and more)
[Historical fiction novel set sometime in the Middle-ages/Renaissance. In order to have more creative freedom, I've decided to create fictional kingdoms but, since I have thought of no names yet, I'll use the names of the places they're inspired by when describing the characters. For now, at least. It will be updated when I've come up with decent names]
Families => Main characters
Tumblr media
Rúadhán & Cecilia. They live on Celtic-like island (think of a remote Greek Island but settled by Celts) with their four children Órla, Mairéad, Elena and Giuliano. Cecilia was an "Italian" noblewoman of the House of Venier—that's probably a placeholder name, but I really like it and the Venier family were an actual Venetian noble family—who gave up everything she had (or was disowned, I still have to decide on that) to marry Rúadhán (he is a merchant and traveled a lot, that's how they met).
Fancasts:
Rúadhán=> Engin Öztürk
Cecilia=> Selma Ergeç
Órla=> Şeyma Burcu Gül
Elena "Enna"=> Synnøve Karlsen (maybe I'll keep the name Elenna and it will be a misspelled version of the name)
Mairéad=> Isolda Dychauk (most likely especially if younger than Enna)/Miriam Leone/Charlotte Hope/ Natalie Dormer (as Margeary)/Junia Rees/Amelia Gething/ Marta Gastini (if dark-haired like her sister)/young Hatice?/Burcu Özberk
Giuliano=> Ruairi O'Connor
Royal Family (the country is supposed to be akin to the Ottoman Empire with hints of Tudor England. Predominantly Ottoman but major changes are made on a few things—I'll try to research as much as I can)
I don't have a name for the king and queen (might as well end up being emperor/empress) yet, I only know he married three times and two of his wives executed.
Children from his first marriage (from left to right): Princess Elizabeth, Princess Alexandra, Princess Mary and Princess Catherine.
Fancasts:
Emperor=> Anthony Head
Empress Sophia Alexandra (Safiye)=> Hülya Avşar
1 miscarried son
1 stillborn son
Princess Margaret=> Jodie Comer/Rebecca Ferguson?
Princess Elizabeth=> Gaia Weiss
Princess Alexandra=> Gözde Türker
Princess Mary=> Holliday Grainger
Princess Catherine=> Suki Waterhouse
King's second wife
Queen #2=> Aslıhan Gürbüz
Tumblr media
Aneurin Barnard? ( He looks like Aslihan so it might fit)
Tumblr media
-
Lady Catherine, the King's illegitimate daughter, her mother is unknown.
Fancast=> Astrid Berges-Frisbey
Tumblr media Tumblr media
House of Contarini (family crest=> eagle)
I don't know about titles. Italian nobility (they're Italian) used 'Messer' and 'Madonna' so I guess I might keep them. They're nobles, so why not.
Messer Piero and Madonna Maddalena and their children Lorenzo Elio, Laura and Lucrezia.
Lorenzo (nicknames Enzo or Elio) serves as Ambassador and ends up marrying Elena (Enna)
They'll have eleven children
Fancasts:
Piero=> James D'Arcy
Maddalena=> Tülin Özen
Lorenzo=> Daniel Sharman
Laura=> Gonca Sariyildiz
Lucrezia=> Merve Boluğur
Tumblr media
Matilda Lutz as Lisa=> Leonardo/Lorenzo's sister.
(HE HAS THREE YOUNGER SISTERS AND LISA IS THE ONE HE'S CLOSEST WITH- SHE MIGHT BE HIS TWIN OR THEY MIGHT TEN/ELEVEN MONTHS APART)
*they also are of "Greek" origin and they're devoted to "Greek" gods. The family is devoted to Aeolus, god of the wind=> insert backstory*
That's also where "Nanourisma" comes into play.
Cecilia (the girls' mother) was also of Greek origin. Enna knows "Nanourisma" as well
Main couple (to add more)
Tumblr media
Also, these two up above are basically a more historical version of Elenwë from my LOTR/Silmarillion fic "The Lady of Ithilien". Their chapters will be a RETELLING of said fic in a different context.
These are the main characters, this post will be updated periodically as I come up with new ones!

Foundation Season 3: New Cast Blasts Off, Plus a Big Recasting!
Tumblr media
Apple TV+ just dropped a major bomb on Season 3 of Foundation, my favorite saga about a galaxy on the brink. Get ready for a whole new crew of characters joining the epic space adventure, plus a surprising recast for a key role. First up, let's talk about the fresh faces. We've got Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones (who you might know from Succession) joining the cast. No word on her character yet, but with her acting chops, you know she's gonna bring the heat. Another new addition is Synnøve Karlsen, who recently starred in "Last Night in Soho." We're also getting Cody Fern (American Horror Story), Brandon P. Bell (Dear White People), Tómas Lemarquis (Blade Runner 2049), Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing (Really Love), and Leo Bill (Becoming Elizabeth). That's a lot of talent to squeeze into one show! And of course, we can't forget the OG crew. Lee Pace and Jared Harris are back for another round, ready to navigate the ever-complicated mess that is the Galactic Empire. Plus, don't forget about the previously announced newcomers: Troy Kotsur, the Oscar winner from CODA, and Alexander Siddig. With this all-star cast, Season 3 is shaping up to be something truly special. Now, let's talk about the recast. Remember the mysterious Warlord, also known as The Mule? In Season 2, Mikael Persbrandt played the role. But for Season 3, Pilou Asbæk (who you might know as Euron Greyjoy from Game of Thrones) is stepping in. This is a big switch-up, but with Asbæk's talent, we have a feeling he'll knock it out of the park. Here's a quick refresher on what Foundation is all about, in case you're new to the party. Based on Isaac Asimov's classic sci-fi trilogy, the series follows a group of exiles called the Foundation. They basically see the whole Galactic Empire about to go kablooey, and their mission is to save humanity before it's too late. Easy, right? Wrong. There's betrayal, space battles, crazy psychic powers – it's a whole thing. Season 2 left us hanging with a ton of cliffhangers. The Cleons are falling apart, a vengeful queen wants to wreck the Empire from the inside, and there's a whole colony of people with mind-blowing psychic abilities who could mess with everything. Oh, and the Foundation's religious phase is in full swing, which isn't exactly helping things. Basically, the whole galaxy is a pressure cooker about to explode. We don't have a release date for Season 3 yet, but with all this new casting info, it's definitely something to keep an eye on. So, sci-fi fans, get ready to blast off on a wild ride with Foundation Season 3! It's gonna be epic. Source: Deadline https://youtu.be/rFVB16lIf_g Read the full article

Synnøve Karlsen (“Last Night In Soho,” “Bodies,” “Clique) is set to star as the younger version of Cassandra Austen (played by Keeley Hawes) in “Miss Austen“, a production of Gill Hornby’s best-selling and much-loved novel. The four-part series is produced by Bonnie Productions for Masterpiece in the US and distributed by Federation Studios, and has already been acquired by the BBC in the U.K.
“The ensemble of actors on ‘Miss Austen’ is a testament to the brilliant work of Aisling Walsh and everyone’s desire to work with her,” Karlsen said. “Andrea Gibb has written a beautifully moving script, delving into Cassandra Austen’s life and her relationship with her sister Jane. It’s a real joy to share the role of Cassy with Keeley and get to work with her once again.”
As previously announced, the adaptation from BAFTA-winning writer Andrea Gibb (“Elizabeth Is Missing,” “Mayflies”) takes a literary mystery — Cassandra Austen notoriously burning her famous sister Jane’s letters – and reimagines it as a fascinating, witty and heart-breaking story of sisterly love, while creating in Cassandra a character the producers claim is as captivating as any Austen heroine.
The drama begins in 1830, a while after Jane has died. Cassandra (Hawes) races to see her young friend Isabella (Rose Leslie) who is about to lose her home following her father’s death. Cassandra is ostensibly there to help her friend, but her real motive is to find a stash of private letters which, in the wrong hands, could destroy Jane’s reputation. On discovering them, Cassandra is overwhelmed as she is transported back to her youth. In flashback, we meet young Cassy (Karlsen) and Jane (Patsy Ferran) as they navigate the infatuations, family feuds and dashed hopes which shaped their lives and laid the foundations for Jane’s unforgettable stories.
Karlsen previously played Jocasta in Edgar Wright’s psychological horror “Last Night in Soho” alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie and Matt Smith. Most recently, she starred in the Netflix series “Bodies” alongside Stephen Graham and Shira Haas. Prior to that she won plaudits for her debut television role of Holly McStay, the student at the heart of BBC’s cult psychological thriller “Clique,” and as Clarice Orsini in the historical drama series “Medici.”
Karlsen is represented by the Independent Talent Group, Anonymous Content and Personal PR.

We had an amazing time at Women and Hollywood’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Monday night, featuring trailblazing female filmmakers such as Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham), Amma Asante (A United Kingdom) & Elizabeth Karlsen (Carol) winning & presenting. A vital reminder to keep pushing the diverse characters and stories we want to see on screen because “no one is gonna do it for you”.
