Kaylor Timeline BEFORE VSFS 2013

It's a thread I did on my Twitter that I'll transfer here.

Once again, I used amazing Tumblr posts to do it. So I'll credit them as we go (If I need to do something else tell me, I'm new to the Tumblr etiquette).

So the official story is that Taylor and Karlie crossed path a couple of times without interacting and met for the first time at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in 2013 🤔

Well they met A LOT of times and interacted before actually 😅

Let's see the Timeline before that VSFS in 2013!

First meeting!

So what motivated my thread in the first place is this Interview Taylor did in 2014 with Andrew Bevan of Teen Vogue.

But here's the most important part of that interview:

He is saying that he introduced Karlie and Emma Stone to Taylor!!

Ok we know that Taylor met Emma at the 2008 Young Hollywood Award.

I don't think though that he is talking about that event. Because he says that he congratulated her for her cover.

Taylor did two covers with Teen Vogue, one in 2009 and one in 2011.

Following the Timeline and everything it's most likely the March 2009 one:

A magazine cover is planned 2-8 months in advance, up to a year for major celebrities.

The Young Hollywood Award was on late April 2008 and the cover was for March 2009 so it make sense.

So it's most likely that Taylor met karlie for the first time at the same event she met Emma for the first time.

So there you have it! All of Kaylor interaction BEFORE the 2013 VSFS!

This explains the timing of it all.

Because they allegedly met at the 2013 Victoria Secret Fashion Show in Novembre.

But as we know, Taylor moved to New York because Karlie asked her:

Warum Eli von einen message/story Punkt sterblich bleiben muss

Mit zwei basically unsterblichen Ehepartnern (naja einem Gott und einer untoten Biene) stellt sich natürlich die Frage: Warum sie nicht unsterblich machen?

Wenn Sie sooo Anti-Suizid ist, extreme Angst vor den Nichts hat, einen wortwörtlichen Überlebensschwur hat und zwei unterbliche Partner, warum würde sie sterben wollen?

Und wisst ihr, ich habe wirklich darüber nachdacht. Wenn Eli unsterblich werden würde, wie wäre das und was würde das für die heißen?

Mir ist sehr sehr aufgefallen, dies wäre eine schreckliche Entscheidung.

Der Hauptgrund?

Unsterblichkeit zu lang. Zu groß. Zu "vast"

Die Unsterblichkeit sprengt die Vorstellungs Kraft. Wenn du dich ewig weiter entwickelst, wann hörst du auf du zu sein? Kann ein sterblichen Gehirn überhaupt so viele Ernnierungen speichern?

Eli IST eine Sterbliche. Nie war NIE für Unendlichkeit geschaffen.... Sie sollte Unendlichkeit wohl nie miterleben, gensu so wie Götter und ihre ungefiltert Größe niemals hätte wahrnehmen DÜRFEN.

Sie zerbricht daran. Fragt sich Fragen, die sie sich niemals hätten stellen müssen. Sie ist unglücklich und fühlt sich bedeutungslos.

Aber Eli sollte nicht "größer sein" müssen um ihre Bedeutung zu beweisen. Wenn ihr Problem ist, dass die Dinge und Größen erlebt hat die sie nie hätte sehen sollen, wie kann dann die Antwort sein such genau diesen Dingen erneut aussetzen?

Es kann nicht die Antwort sein.

Eli IST nunmal "klein". Fundemtal. Und villeicht will sie auch nicht mehr sein. Und sie MUSS auch nicht mehr sein.

Ich finde es für ihre Geschichte sehr viel zufrieden stellender, wenn sie das akzeptiert was sie ist und sich nicht mehr mot unvorstellbaren Größen in die Verzweiflung bringt.

Auch wenn diese Akzeptanz weh tut.

Buckle up and seat belts on - Erkundungstour K'gari Island

Heute haben wir, auf Leas dringendes Anraten hin, eine Bustour mit vielen kleinen Stops auf K'gari Island unternommen. Um schon einmal einen kurzen Ausblick zu skizzieren: "K'gari" ist ein Wort aus der Sprache der australischen Ureinwohner, bedeutet "Paradies" und genau das haben wir auch vorgefunden.

Unser Start war aber zunächst etwas beschwerlich, denn eine Tagestour hieß sehr sehr früh aufstehen. Um halb 6 (!!) starteten wir mit Snacks und Schwimmsachen bepackten Rucksäcken Richtung Rainbowbeach. Nach fast 2h Fahrt erreichten wir unser Ziel und wechselten in den inseltauglichen Bus, denn K'gari ist 98% Sand und 2% Stein. Und dann konnte die wilde und huckelige Fahrt losgehen. Wir düsten mit 80 Sachen einen unendlich erscheinenden Strand entlang, dabei wurde für Priele oder ähnliches kaum gebremst. Gestoppt wurde an einem alten Schiffswrack, bunten Hügeln und dem Vormittagshighlight, dem Eli Creek. Aus Mangel an Beschreibungskunst nennen wir es mal einen zauberhaften kleinen Fluss. Nach dem Mittagessen ging es dann auf dem direkten Wege zum Tageshighlight dem Lake Mc Kenzie. Ein glasklarer, blauer See mit unglaublich weißem Sand. Da haben wir uns eine Runde Schwimmen nicht entgehen lassen. Direkter Weg war dabei eigentlich so eine Sache, der war zwar wirklich direkt, aber sowas von ruckelig und voll von Hüpfern, dass die Strandtour Wackelein schon fast in Vergessenheit geraten sind. Mit unserem Tourguide Cameron hat das ganze aber echt mega Spaß gemacht. Der Dude hatte sein Fahrzeug echt im Griff. Am Ende noch kurz durch den einzigartigen Regenwald der Insel spaziert und uns viel zu einheimischen Gewächsen erzählen lassen, krasse Bäume haben die da.

Auf dem Rückweg hatten wir uns schon so ans Ruckeln gewöhnt, dass einige sogar ein kleines Schläfchen eingeschoben haben.

Kurze Zusammenfassung: Der Tag war wirklich wunderbar! Tolles Wetter, ganz viel gesehen und mal wieder nur nette Leute.

PS: Wie ihr vllt erahnt habt war "seat belts on" also wirklich dringend notwendig ;)

Ok ok so

Half Life 1: Gordon Freeman, a theoretical physicist who graduated from MIT has his first day at Black Mesa. He got in due to his closeness with another scientist, Dr. Issac Kleiner.

Anyways so Gordon is tasked with pushing the crystal they have recently gotten from a border world (read: a world that is between dimensions) called Xen into an anti-mass spectrometer. The experiment goes totally wrong, and portals from Xen begin opening up, allowing aliens to come through and swarm the facility.

Soon after, the HECU Marines (a special taskforce called for when the scientists REALLY fuck up), so on top of fighting the aliens, Gordon has to fight the military as well. He moves through Black Mesa, eventually getting to a scientist who send him through a portal to Xen so he can kill the Nilanth, which is an alien who has a seperate race of aliens called Vortigaunts enslaved and tbh isn't very lore important. Gordon kills the Nilanth, then G-man shows up and gives Gordon a job then puts him in stasis.

(Barney (security guard), Gina, and Colette (scientists) are also fighting through Black Mesa, and Adrian (soldier) is fighting the scientists and guards but Blue Shift (Barney), Opposing Force (Adrian) and Decay (Gina and Colette) are all dubiously canon, especially Opposing Force)

Half Life 1: After the portal to Xen is opened, the Combine (a warlike alien race that takes over worlds, enslave and kill the inhabitants, strip the planet of its resources, and moves on) are alerted to Earth's existence and in seven hours have taken over Earth. Dr. Wallace Breen, former administrator of Black Mesa, negotiates Earth's surrender with the Combine. Twenty years later, Gordon returns, arriving in City 17 which is where all his former co-workers are (that survived, that is)

He meets with Barney who is working as a Metrocop (metrocops are humans that choose to work for the Combine for extra rations and safety. It's hard to tell them apart from a Civil Protection officer which are - as far as I can tell - modified humans with most of the "humaness" stripped away)

ANYWAYS BACK ON TRACK Barney brings Gordon into a back room and tells Dr. Kleiner that Gordon's back. He then tells Gordon to go to Kleiner's lab, but as he is getting there he is caught and beaten up but Alyx saves him. She then leads him to Kleiner's lab and explains what happened while he was gone. In Kleiner's lab Gordon gets his HEV suit back, and Kleiner tries to teleport both Gordon and Alyx to Black Mesa East (no relation to the nuked Black Mesa). Alyx gets there, but Dr. Kleiner's pet headcrab Lamarr messes up the teleporter as Gordon is in it so he has to go on a river route.

After he goes through the river, he arrives at Black Mesa East and meets Eli Vance and also Judith Mossman (who hates him. She is very jealous of him) and they talk for a bit, Gordon gets a new weapon (the Gravity Gun, he can fling people and things around with it) and also plays with Alyx's robot D0g, then Black Mesa East gets raided so Gordon has to go to Ravenholm (We don't go to Ravenholm)

In Ravenholm Gordon is surrounded by headcrab zombies and has to kill the with giant saw blades fires with the gravity Gun, until the only actual person there (Father Grigori) gives him a shotgun. Father Grigory seems chill but he sacrifices himself right before Gordon leaves so. Yeah.

Gordon then goes on a roadtrip. Then he has to do parkour so he doesn't get killed by antlions. (Antlions don't like when you walk on the sand) Luckily a friendly Vortigaunt gives him a pheromone ball so the antlions like him. So he has to lead them out of where they were.

Gordon then goes to the very scary Combine jail called Nova Prospekt to try to save Eli. Turns out he's not there! Gordon meets with Alyx again, and they both find out that Judith was working with Dr. Breen the whole time. Judith then takes Eli to the Citadel (Where Breen is)

Alyx and Gordon teleport back to Kleiner's lab only to find out they have been stuck in a loop for a whole week, and Nova Prospekt blew up and everyone's going crazy (in a good way). Alyx stays with Kleiner and Gordon finds Barney and the two start beating people up. They get to the Citadel and Gordon gets inside. Gordon fights all the way to Dr. Breen's office, and goes inside (captured). Dr. Breen then basically says he wants Eli and Alyx gone and that makes Judith mad because she wanted Eli safe so she blows up Breen's communicator, and then frees the three. Gordon chases Breen to the top of the Citadel, Breen dies and everyone gets out and the Citadel blows up.

There is also Episode 2 and HL: Alyx but. I need a break

Stockholm: Fotographiska

Heute haben wir uns einen langen Nachmittag im Fotographiska gegönnt. Dieses Museum für Fotographiekunst gibt es auch in New York und Berlin. Hier ist es in einem schönen alten Backsteingebäude, vermutlich ehemals ein Handelshaus, am Wasser untergebracht.

Und sehr aussagekräftige, geschichtenerzählende Bilder des Prix Pictet Human.

Wir haben es sehr genossen.

Zum Abschluss gab es noch Kaffee im dazugehörenden Restaurant in einem sehr, sehr schönen dunklem Stil. Noch dazu gab es große Fenster mit "What a View"

Quer durch Södermalm ging es dann zurück in unser Appartement.

Noch ein paar Gedanken zu diesem Stadtteil, was wir auf langen Spaziergängen ausgiebig erkundet haben:

Es gibt hier viele hohe Neubauten, Wohnsilos könnte man auch sagen. Sie wirken aber gar nicht so, weil alles grün ist. Jeder Innenhof hat Blumenflächen, die täglich gepflegt werden. Jede unbebaute Fläche hat wunderbar verwinkelte Spielplätze, Bänke, Beete. Ständig fragten wir uns, wo denn die Autos seien?? Die sieht man hier einfach nicht! Nirgendwo parkende Autoreihen. Stattdessen Fahrradschuppen und E-Roller Parkplätze.

Überall sind auch größere Parks mit Spiel -und Picknickplätzen. Eigentlich an jeder Ecke, mit Treppen und Pfaden verbunden. Und Bänke, unzählige Bänke. Und Schaukeln:

Außerdem wird hier so viel gerannt, dass es auffällt. Alle möglichen Menschen joggen. Zu jeder Tageszeit, manche schnell, manche mit Gewichtswesten, manche langsam und gemächlich.

Und noch was: Hier liegt kein Müll. Ich habe Kolonnen von Müllsammler*innen gesehen, die jedes noch so kleine Fitzelchen einsammeln.

Zu all dem passt, dass man es hier als Raucherin wirklich schwer hat. Rauchen ist verpönt. Schweden will bis zum Jahr 2025 "rauchfrei" werden. Sie sind auf dem besten Weg, würde ich sagen. Ob das Snussen besser ist, darüber wird auch hier gestritten. Aber rauchende Menschen habe ich im Vergleich zu Deutschland sehr wenig gesehen.

Healthy. Das Wort beschreibt für mich Södermalm, vielleicht ganz Stockholm, vielleicht Schweden. Ich weiss nicht genau, ob ich diesem Bild trauen kann, oder warum es sich nicht restlos nur gut anfühlt. Vielleicht weil es eben auch "brav" erscheint.

Morgen geht es dann weiter. Nach Mora am Siljansee. Bei genauerem Lesen der Beschreibung des hastig gebuchten Hauses habe ich entdeckt, das wir ein Haus am/im - Achtung- Tomteland gebucht haben! Im Weihnachtsmannland! Bleibt gespannt :)

*Disclaimer- Most people know I am a ride or die Ali Hazelwood fan(she is a auto buy author of mine), and I typically don't review-review her books, but this one is very different then her typical books so I figured I would share my thoughts about it!*

Ru is your average socially awkward girl. Doesn't do good in large crowds, not good at expressing feelings, and can't fully comprehend what she wants. Her job at Klein lets her have financial stability that she craved as a kid while also allowing her to continue research and work with her couple of close friends. Which is all fine and dandy, until Harkness investment firm comes and buys out Klein's loan. Eli happens to work for said firm, and was suppose to be one of Ru's "One and done" hookup's. Now they are toeing the line with their relationship.

Where to even begin? As much as I LOVE Hazelwood's general Rom-Comy book style, This one may just be my favorite.

This book deals with a unlikeable main character. Now I know what your thinking, how bad can she really be? I just don't think she fits on the same line up as the other heroine the author has written. Think your typical nerd problems multiplied by 10 with a true side of trauma. She has layers to her, she is not effortlessly beautiful(a complaint I hear a lot about Hazelwood's books), She is not always great at communicating. I can see why many people may not feel she is not the best female lead.

Now, Eli on the other hand is your perfect golden retriever. He knows and understands where Ru is and meets her in every way. Yes, he is a little basic, but I honestly think that is what our MC needs in this situation.

They have great chemistry, and I love that they started in a rom-comy way, but their relationship is different than that. It's very raw.

Now, let's talk about the big thing-There is A LOT more steamy scenes in this book than normal(Which I think is main people's issue with it) and to that I say, not every relationship looks the same. Both of these characters are more complex than your typical billionaire and science weapon. They are COMPLEX. Hence why I think this type of relationship works for them. It starts and makes sense for both of them from where they are in life. And yes, while I do think smut may not be Miss Hazelwood's strong suit, I do believe it's a lot better than what's out there.

This book is NOT for your rom-com fluffy girlies. It's for your readers who enjoy emotional, character growth pushing, complex characters, and of course a healthy dose of smut romances. If your looking for a romcom novel like the one the author typically writes, this is not the book for you.

Something from 2024 that I’m very proud of is reading 58 books and all but six of them were full length works of fiction or nonfiction. (One was a children’s book I checked out for a creative reference and the other five were recipe or gardening reference books).

Week 12 Compulsory Question 2

I wrote down my artistic vision based on my experience and my strength. My design strength is illustration because I enjoy drawing out and generating ideas for school assignments or personal projects. It's a fun task because I can express my feelings through the artwork. It's also an excellent way to improve my illustration work, as the more I do, the better I get.

For example, in studio class, we are supposed to make merchandise based on our festivals. I have chosen the Singapore Food Festival, and since I wanted it to be comic-style, I decided to add Ricecon because our festival will feature rice as the main course, and I wanted to add superheroes. I also added the details that could elevate the merchandise even more.

In 5 years, I wanted to become a Graphic designer or Illustrator. I've dreamed of becoming an illustrator since I was younger because I enjoyed observing other artists' work growing up. There are several artists that I still look up to today, like Miyazaki Hayao and Li Hongbo.

Li Hongbo's artworks inspire me to be able to challenge myself even further by pushing all my potential in design. His famous work is creating sculptures from paper, which encourages me to utilize other materials to create a better design.

During my image and materiality, one of the assignments was to make use of different types of materials for the two combined words. My combined words were a delicious garden, so I used gummy worms to create the words. I enjoy the work process as it's less hectic and stressful than my other projects.

Given the time I have for now, I would like to explore, expand, and experiment with my artwork by using different design mediums. I will also ask my lecturers more about design and art, in general, to gather more knowledge and use that to improve my work. Receiving opinions and feedback is the most important thing, especially from art professionals or your lecturers, because they are more experienced in design.

I researched social engagement for the class activity and wanted to discuss this campaign. What really caught my eye was called the social swipe. The social swipe is a great example of introducing a new creative way for people to donate to end world hunger. In my opinion, I believe that contributing to even something small like this could help the community to grow and be even better.

Looking back at my artistic vision, CTS B has taught me about becoming more empathetic and understanding designs more. I have done much CTS design research and enjoy learning more about them. CTS has made me realize that collaborating and communicating in a group isn't easy; however, it's important and helps you be more self-aware.
