So the writing and overall timeline of season 6 part 1 is weird to say the least, but there’s one plot point that stuck out to me. If this is the choice the writer’s intended, then great because it makes the drama a lot more dramatic if addressed. And if it wasn’t intended then the writing was kinda stupid and still unintentionally good.

So Eli didn’t apply for MIT early action like Demetri, which significantly lowers his chances of acceptance should he apply later on, as addressed by Demetri.

But MIT’s early action “isn’t single-choice, binding, or anything like that.” This is verbatim from the admissions website. So then why would Eli not take the chance of MIT if he’s so undecided?

Or is it that he’s 100% decided he doesn’t want to go to MIT and the “I’ll apply later” is another lie?

The ANGST!

But of course, if the writer’s room didn’t know this then that’s on them because I got this from one Google search.

Anyway I’m tired and feel smart, and this thought has been weighing on me for a while. So. The more you know.

-> while the album has some cute love songs for him and Moon or him and Demetri, there are some angry and regretful tracks that relate to his time in Cobra Kai’s dojo -> the softer ballads remind me more of Eli rather than Hawk and his vulnerable moments -> the upbeat songs remind me of Hawk’s confidence and determination -> the songs of regret or the past are especially important for him post-season 3
