Charlie Chaplin is an extremely elegant man. In his private life and on screen, he never lacked style and chic taste. Even as a Tramp, he exuded gentlemanly refinement and distinction. Just watch the movie "City Lights" to see this.
Guerlain perfumes are more than just fashionable accessories. A perfume created by Jacques Guerlain in 1919, the birth of which was inspired by the love story of the beautiful wife of the Japanese admiral Togo for a British officer that took place during the Russo-Japanese War of 1905. When both men went into battle, Mitsouko waited for the return of the one who, by fate's will, would survive to stay with his beloved for the rest of his life. The character of Mitsouko - which means mystery in Japanese - was taken from Claude Farrere's novel "The Battle", and the fragrance itself belongs to the chypre-fruity family and has been called a classic perfume. This mysterious scent consists of bergamot, rose, jasmine, peach, herbs, oakmoss, wood…
Mitsuko Guerlain is recalled by outstanding examples of silent cinema from the 1920s. Their characters were full of tragedy or melancholy, the actors used facial expressions, gestures and movement instead of words, and the music did the rest. These perfumes are similar to silent cinema not only because they come from that period, but also because they are associated with global success and legendary charisma. Bitter-sweet Mitsuko is associated with the outstanding comedies of Charlie Chaplin - a comedian with a sad face ("City Lights", The Gold Rush)…
Below is a very interesting article about Charlie and his favorite perfumes!.
