To anyone who refuses to vote for Biden in the US elections because of what he's done in Palestine: I'd like to hear the plan to get America to stop aiding Israel in the event of a Trump victory you must have to act so belligerently confident in your stance.

anyway since this apparently needs to be said again, anyone insisting it is immoral to vote in any election, especially not the US Presidential election this year, is getting immediately reported and blocked for election interference on-sight.
get the absolute fuck off my blog if you think "actively campaigning on dictatorship and having me and anyone like me raped and then murdered the moment he's installed" and "not liberal enough but can be pressured into it" are "def the same!!!1!!"

Learning more about how elections actually work and how Trump won 2016 has gotten me thinking. All I can think is how satisfying, how poetic, how karmic it would be if Trump were to loose 2024 as he won 2016; thanks to the popular vote.
#Is it likely?#Absolutely not#It isn't impossible tho#especially since it did happen in 2016#But I'm still preparing for a Trump presidency#Something in my gut tells me something isn't right#The energy in the universe has been so weird lately#Apparently there's been some weird astrological events happening#We have two fucking moons right now#Mini moon is still in orbit for a few more days right?#The hurricanes that have been hitting us are more weird than they have ever been#And call me paranoid or a conspiracy theorist but something does not feel right about this election#Something does not feel right about a highly qualified candidate loosing to a felon game show host#I cannot believe America hates women so much that a felon is favored over a highly qualified woman#I mean I can#America really fucking hates women#But this still doesn't feel right#There's something in the air something in the energy in the whole planet that's incredibly off#Something is wrong#Maybe not with the election results#although I do think something is wrong with those in my gut#but something somewhere in the universe is off and I don't know what#And all I can think is how karmic Trump loosing to the electoral college would be#There's something in me#probably delusions but idk#that keeps thinking “this will happen”#“This was meant to happen”#“the universe is teaching Trump a lesson by having him loose as he once won”#I know this is more of an empty hope#But I will cling onto hope until the last breath I take

Thoughts on Red, White, & Royal Blue (contains spoilers)
I finished RWRB the other night and I am... still feeling it like an ache under my skin. As sweet as Alex and Henry are together, regardless of how their enduring relationship gives me warm fuzzies, it wasn't the happily ever after at the book's end that reached down into my chest and pressed on my heart like a fresh bruise.
I was not expecting Casey to so accurately capture this feeling that I have carried inside me. It comes from being a child of Texas, raised (like so many are) to consider that as a core part of my identity, as much as being of mixed heritage and not conforming to society's sexual or gender norms. It comes from growing into adulthood only to realize that a place you have loved and respected your whole life... doesn't want you. Would rather you die than be your real, authentic self.
In RWRB, Texas rallies for a mixed race Latinx kid that's been outed as bisexual in the messiest way possible. It turns Blue to elect his mother, a female president with a blended family and progressive policies. I cannot stress to you how much that was... the absolute fantasy pipe-dream that I genuinely thought could have been a reality way back in 2016. As Texans, we stood on the precipice of making the world a better place, of making history. We had every opportunity, between Beto and Hilary and a newly awakened generation of young voters that had seen the good works of an Obama presidency. We came So Close...
But look at Texas now. Further away than ever from that fictional future. More cruel, more restrictive. Denying women bodily autonomy, denying children gender affirming care, restricting access to voting rights, disproportionately punishing the poor, shoving people back into the fucking Rio Grande to Drown rather than allow them to seek asylum within our borders. Texas has fallen so fast and so far from that moment of potential, I don't know that it can ever recover.
A year and a half ago, I left Texas. I packed up my life and moved elsewhere because I was heartbroken at what my home-state had become, because I didn't feel safe there anymore, because I saw myself as powerless to do anything about the injustices being paraded throughout the state like they were points of pride. And I miss it, and I hate it, and I'll probably never go back.
But I can't slough off that part of who I am, I can't banish it to the past like it never mattered, like being a Texan didn't shape me in some ways. I guess reading Casey's words reminded me that even with healing and distance, some part of me will always be that child of Texas, one who wishes they got even a fraction of the political happy ending that Alex Claremont-Diaz got.

In 2016, Hillary Clinton lost Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Arizona ALL by less than the number of votes that went to third-party candidates.
That’s why we got Trump.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Kamala/Walz going up DAILY, I've seen more people talking about voting third party/Jill Stein (EW) and I believe the above screencaps from @three--rings can explain WHY Third Party votes NEVER work NOR is this the election to screw around in.
Everyone....like she says above.....PLEASE LEARN FROM HISTORY!!!
(Because if Trump gets in, he's NEVER LEAVING).

specific parameters:
when exactly your teenage self gets this information is up to you, so long as they're your teenage self at the time.
your teenage self will learn the message and that it comes from you, their future self.
if it's something objectively true/false, they'll know it's true; if it's more subjective, they'll know you believe it's true based on your knowledge of the future; if it's advice, they'll know it's given in good faith based on your future life.
you need to decide NOW. no looking things up beforehand. (no sharing the winning lottery numbers unless you happen to have some memorized!)
you can combine things if they're really just parts of one big statement. so "You're genderfluid and your name is Adrian" is fine, but "move to California and invest in Facebook" isn't.
if your statement fits multiple categories, pick the one you think is the best overall fit.
