I am a woman.

I was born and I live in Chile.

And today is International Woman's Day.

And when I went to do breakfast, the first news I saw was of a woman who died after falling from the 10th floor of an apartment. She filed for domestic violence. They did arrested her abuser thanks to the DNA on her nails, as she tried to defend herself.

This is sadly not the only instance of harm towards woman today.

There's still abuse, violence in any form (physical, psychological, sexual, etc), prejudices and just straight up injustice towards woman.

And that kind of stuff is happening ALL OVER THE WORLD. AND THERE ARE CASES WE AREN'T AWARE OF IT YET.

Being a woman is hard. And that's a massive understatement.

Being a human living in this society is hard, but it is hard towards those considered minorities.

Especially women. Even worse for those woman who are also POC, LGBTQ+ (Trans woman are woman, after all), disabled in any shape of form, suffering of mental illness, and those who are currently living in places and countries where they treat woman horribly.

I really do wish for a future where women aren't afraid.

But... It sounds utopic, and I know that violence will always exist.

I'll admit. I feel bad celebrating a date that was supposed to celebrate Women's Rights and Justice for Women... When there is still injustice towards women in this world. Especially me living in Chile, when there's a lot of violence and prejudices done to woman in other countries. I feel shame with the idea of celebrating when there's still injustice towards woman in the world. Even in my own country.

So please...

Listen, help and protect your fellow women. Your family (either biological, legal or even your found family), your friends, your acquaintances, etc. And if you can, listen help other fellow women, even if you don't know them personally.

Support victims, bring justice, and protect women.

Yeah. I got inspired by the MM Megamix fan animation...

I got daydreamy about my project "Virus Deleter". I'm currently deciding to make it into a Webcomic.

While this decision is was not new, for a moment I thought on making Virus Deleter into a 3D Animation (inspired by a ruby series. If you know you know) but I couldn't make it since my current computer would explode.

So yeah, I'll be planning more about the comic aspect more. But I need to practice more on how to do it. I'm not that experienced on making comics, apart of some cases.

I really want to make "Virus Deleter". I want to tell the story of a antivirus battling virus and protecting the virtual world.

Do you have any tips for mitigating static from Electric-types in the winter? My Yamper gets really staticky and I know it's an inevitable side-effect of his type, but I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to reduce it.

I know it's not winter, at least not when I'm sending this, but I only recently found this blog.

plenty of things you can do for that! one of the biggest culprits for too much static buildup is dry air and fur. you should hopefully already be regularly brushing with an anti-static spray like elec-away, but baths with moisturizing fur conditioner will also help. keeping a humidifier in your house can also keep static buildup at bay.

i also recommend that any household with an electric type pokemon keep a static-discharge self-grooming pole. these poles will discharge static buildup when your pokemon touch them, but they also have gentle ridges (kind of like a grooming glove) to encourage the pokemon to scratch themselves. you can spray a little pheremone spray on it to encourage investigation. they can be a little pricey, but they're a great way to encourage natural behaviors while also reducing static shock!

Ayo I’m gonna say this right now guys I’m a TRANNY so get ur terf asses outta my posts ok. I legit dont care if your a terf finding your “community” you dont need to share that with me.

If you’re a terf don’t get in my comments trying to say some cute shit. I’m not here for it. The whole reason I wrote “te.rf” was for terfs not to find my post but okay next time I mention the word terf I guess should just make it “+3rf” or something illegible. I’m not gonna do it now because what’s the point? Really, what is it. What’s the goddamn point.

Like, I don’t care if you’re a terf, just keep that shit away from me. There was no other reason to comment other than a “gotcha!” Moment and really it’s… kind of immature. I’m 17 and I’m not afraid to say it. That was pretty immature. Feel good about your dunk or whatever, I guess. I’m not actively seeking out posts made by terfs and trying to upset them.

..What irks me though, again… is that I spaced the word out. I only mentioned whump in passing and the word terf has a period in the middle. So unless you’re searching for posts that specifically do that (which I did specifically NOT to attract terfs, as it was a passing complaint meant for my casual followers, who are either also queer or support the queer community) then you shouldn’t really be able to see it, should you? But whatever. A period squarely in the middle of a four-letter word isn’t the most unique combination. There’s only so many ways to split up the acronym terf like that.

It just rubs me the wrong way, I guess. I’m just existing, complaining about a user in passing, and this stranger, someone I’ve never met or known ever, has this urge to commentate. To tell me they actively seek out people who, I’m not afraid to say it, hate people like me. I’ve seen the comments terfs make on trans people. Implying or outright saying we’re grotesque or subhuman or stupid. (Or that we’re making bad choices, or that we’re going against biology, or that trans women are mockeries of girlhood and womanhood and every other transphobic take I’ve seen in a 1000-mile radius) I’ve seen terfs tear each other and their “fellow women” apart over it too. It’s kinda freaky.

Goddamn this post started off so frustrated and now I’m just introspective. Like I’m looking in on myself. Did I cause this? Maybe. It’s not my fault for feeling frustrated about terfs in the whump tag and it’s not my fault for saying something solely intended for my followers attracting attention otherwise. I guess I’m just mad because what would drive a person to comment this other than hatred and pettiness? I mean, I’ve been overtaken by pettiness before, but really, there’s just something foul about this. About a stranger dropping by to remind me that they don’t understand people like me and they’re making an active choice to continue engaging in their “exclusion.”

Anyway tl;dr if you’re a terf, go the hell away! Don’t interact with people you hate who are things you hate!! Basic internet etiquette!!!

My Introduction Post!!!

Hello, everyone! I'm Garnet Skyesor, 21 years old, and my dream is to become a Gym Leader in my home region of Hoenn! I'm . . . not entirely sure how to GET there yet, but I'm doing my best to figure it out!

Back when I was 13, I did the Gym Challenge here in Hoenn, and actually got all the badges! I never ended up going to the league, though . . . it just didn't work out. But I made a lot of friends along the way, who've stayed with me all these years!

My squad is:

Skipper the Swampert, my awesome starter. He's a pretty calm guy, but helped carry me hard.

Endeavor the Gardevoir, the absolute QUEEN. She will not hesitate to mess you up if you mess with my guys.

Linear the Linoone, I originally named him Ziz but then realized "wait that's kinda stupid" and he agreed so we changed it. He's pretty good at helping me navigate out in the wild!

Quartz the Sableye, she's a bit odd but pretty fun. I didn't use her much during the Gym Challenge, but she was still pretty helpful!

Tory the Torkoal and Elec the Manectric--these two are actually parents to the wonderful Tory Jr, also a Torkoal! Tory is a fairly calm and wise mother, while Elec is a fun-loving energetic father. Tory Jr is fairly stubborn but sweet, and likes to follow me around.

Grassel the Wynaut, named after my old Math Teacher. He (my teacher) really liked making puns, so I named this silly little lad in his honor.

Amy the Skarmory, my super-fast flyer and a pretty dependable messenger! She's pretty sharp, like her feathers, but also really silly.

Minos the (SHINY!) Tauros, who I found on a short trip to Kanto about a year after my gym run. He's surprisingly silly for a Tauros, but we all enjoy his company, and he likes to help give me rides when I need it.

Matcha the Sinistcha, a newcomer to the team who I adopted from @ghost-pokemon-appreciator. She's a lot of fun so far, and she sounds pretty interested in joining my Gym Team! I'm still getting to know her, though.

Neutron the Mimikyu, a little guy received from mystery gift via @ask-games-galore! He is adorable and I love him and he's dressed as a Plusle/Minun and he's so CUTE AAAAAAA!!!

Elise the Froslass, a very fine lady adopted from @the-daycare-pokecenter! She's very charming, and seems very excited to battle on my team.

Lola the Luvdisc, hatched from an egg from @pokenursery! She's a very happy little fish and deserves just as much love as her heart-shaped body conveys.

They're all silly guys, but I love them, and they all seem willing to help me figure out how to reach this dream of mine!
