I was raised in an atheist househild, but I have a considerable degree more faith than my family. I feel uncertain, though, because I don't feel aligned with the beliefs of many or any sects of Christianity. I'm not ethnically Jewish, and I feel as though exploring Judaism in order to learn more about it as it seems to be the most similar to my beliefs might be insensitive as I do not want to appear to be apropriating the suffering of ethnically Jewish people. Any tips for a potential convert?

I think you should absolutely start learning more about Judaism if you think that it might fit your beliefs! It isn’t appropriative at all--we like sharing :::). If you’re really serious about conversion (and you’ve picked a branch that fits your beliefs), you should start by contacting a rabbi in your area and attending some shabbat services! Make sure to read up on proper manners in temple and such, and you should be fine! @progressivejudaism is a really great source for any questions you might have, and is also the ray of sunshine of jumblr, so you should like, totally give him a follow. Off the top of my head, you could also check out reformjudaism.org (if you’re looking into reform), as well as jewfaq. (There are many more great sites and books out there, but I’m recovering from a virus and my brain is kinda “eeuuuuugh” rn sorry) Many synagogues also offer courses on Judaism, which are are a great starter point!
