23) Describe your apprentices’ humor.

I’ve answered this question already! You can find the answer here! But I’ll also re-post it here too

Shaye’s humour is almost the exact opposite of her actual personality.

I don’t know if this is related to her sense of humour per se, but she laughs when she’s nervous or stressed. The best way to make a bad situation better is to laugh about it she finds. Shaye finds ridiculous situations, even dangerous ones, unbelievably funny. Like when she nearly got killed by that vampire eel and Julian had her in that alleyway fixing her wound, she couldn’t stop joking and giggling at the sheer insanity of her current situation.

In a modern AU Shaye would be a memelord, for sure. Her humour is very much like *plant falls off the windowsill* *Shaye: “me”*, like she’s the type of person who would just walk up to Asra and be like “current mood” and hold up a pineapple covered in pins, and then laugh at his expression.

she has a pretty, I’m not sure what word you’d use to call it, wry? dry? black? sense of humour? I dunno what it’s called but when Portia asks how she is in the morning she’ll answer with something like “oh you know, just fighting with my crushing existentialism” or when asked if she has any plans for tonight she’ll respond with “thought i’d fling myself into the void, maybe flay myself against the sun.” or when Asra asks if she got home safe she’ll be like “nah i died a couple times along the way” and her immediate suggestion to any problem is “how about we just die?”

26) How does your apprentice sleep? Do they sleep with a ton of pillows and blankets or none? Do they toss and turn? Weird things they do in their sleep?

Shaye has a crushing problem with abandonment and being alone, so when Asra is away she sleeps surrounded by a fort of pillows to keep her warm and give her things to cuddle. She usually only has the one blanket, a thick down-filled one with a quilted covering that she and Asra knitted together. 

When sleeping next to someone she’s relatively still, but when she’s alone she constantly tosses and turns, unable to feel comfortable, she suffers from insomnia that gets even worse whenever she sleeps alone. 

Shaye has been known to sleep walk on occasion. Asra has to magically lock the doors in case she leaves during the night. Mostly she’s easy to coax back to bed and she just shuffles about like a zombie mumbling incomprehensibly, usually looking for some item or other from whatever she’s dreaming about. Once she has it she’s pretty content to be directed back to bed. Asra has had many hilarious conversations with a sleepwalking-Shaye
