Eddie's life was nothing short of the American dream. His parents, immigrated from El Salvador to Hartford, Connecticut five years before he was born and made quite a living for themselves by the time they welcomed their son into the world. Despite the blatant racism they faced from neighbours in their suburban neighbourhood, his family remained happy and optimistic for their future which included three more additions after Eddie. Though they were a tight-knit family, there was always one black sheep in the family and they'd find that Eddi’s younger sister was Graciela fit the bill. She began getting into drugs well into high school and has never looked back since. Her actions brought shame to the family and quite a bit of trouble. Being the protective big brother that he was, he interjected himself into Graciela's indiscretions all to save a sister that was too far gone. His interjections resulted in him getting arrested for assault on a drug dealer of hers which left a mark on his record. A mark that the Ivy League colleges decided was too much for their public image. Though getting into college was the least of his worries when he got out of jail.

While Eddie was in jail his sister hadn’t changed her habits, she only sunk deeper. So much so that she’d ended up following the pathetic drug dealer, to Mexico and was selling for one of the most dangerous Mexican cartels. Despite the fact that she ruined his ability to continue in education, and tarnished the relationship he had with his parents. She seemed to the only family he had left. He still deeply cared for her, which was why he interjected once more when and flew to Mexico. While he was there, he started to sell drugs for them, in order to pay back whatever debt they still had over his sister. While he was there, he met a beautiful woman named Margarita Castillo. She stole his heart, through and through, she didn’t seem to care that he sold drugs for a living. Eddie’s original plan was to square his sister’s debt and move back to America. Though once the debt was settled, he couldn’t leave Margarita, and he’s started to make incredible money.

Eddie and his sister worked well together, though he started to notice things getting tense between the leader of the gang and the Mexican president. Eddie had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen and he wanted to get him and his girlfriend out of the country. With this plan, Eddie had started stealing money from the cartel and slowly hid it in various locations. One being in a safe place he knew his girlfriend could find. After a few months, he’d stolen over a hundred thousand dollars. He’d planned to continue, though the secretary had finally started to notice the missing money. He had a target on his back and was thankfully able to escape a gunfight, without a scratch. He left a third fo Margarita and took the rest for him and his sister. After his mistake, he decided it was best for him and his sister to separate. They made a deal to meet Texas when the dust had settled.

■ WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON? ■

Eddie stayed low for years. He lived in almost every American state before finally getting to Texas. A tip-off that his sister was working for an old fashioned diner lead him to the Devils. While he was disappointed she’d returned to the life they’d run away from, he understood. The gang life was all they knew. He too felt a little lost while on the run all those years. She’d mentioned to him that they’d started a new charter in New York. He didn’t believe what he’d heard when his sister informed him that Maragita was Lead Drug Sales in New York.

Recently Eddie convinced his sister to move with him to New York, so they may run with the New York Charter. He had many reasons for this decision though the only reason that mattered was he wanted to see his one love again. There hadn’t been a day that went by where he hadn’t thought of Margarita and hoped she hadn’t changed much from the fun-loving, incredible woman he’d met all those years ago. Little did he know what his escape plan would put her through.
