Chrisâs not so imaginary imaginary friend
A/n I know a lot of the firefighting stuff I say is extremely incorrect but for the sake of the story it needed to happen also to be in true 911 fashion. So I am sorry for anyone who canât read this because of the in accuracyâs I feel for you I do. Also if your wondering why I picked the shows I did I just said whatever was playing in the background when I was writing. (Just a little fun fact I do that a lot)
âHas Chris ever mentioned a imaginary friend to you?â
Eddie turned his head from his son to the therapist next to him. âWhy do you ask?â
âEver since the tsunami Chris has been drawing pictures of himself and this person he calls Buck.â The therapist handed him a drawing, it was of a little boy with Chris written above him and he was holding someoneâs hand. The person next to him was taller with blonde hair and blue eyes, he also had wings and what looked to be a crown on his head, above it written in black crayon âBuckâ.
âNo heâs never mentioned any imaginary friends or anyone named Buck either.â
âSo he doesnât know anyone with that name.â
âNo.â
The therapist nodded.
âSo I shouldnât be worried?â
âAs far as I can tell no. Though I do encourage you to talk to Chris about this Buck person and maybe find out more. That may help figure out who he is and why he showed up now.â
Eddie thanked the doctor as Christopher came out of the room and towards him. Telling him he was ready to go home.
Later that night when Eddie went to put Christopher to bed he saw him drawing again. The same person from the picture he had seen at the therapistâs office, except this time he was pointing to someone on a rescue boat.
âHey,â Eddie leaned on the door frame, âwhat are you drawing?â
âMe and my friend Buck.â Chris put down the crayon to smile at his dad, âhe saved me. Helped me find you.â
âReally? Can I meet him.â
âNo.â He answered bluntly before going back to working on his drawing.
Eddie moved so he was now sitting next to Chris, âHow come?â
âHeâs shy. Heâs also worried heâll scare you.â
Eddie though for a moment before replying, âWell how bout you tell him that Iâm not scared of anything and that thereâs no need to be shy.â
A smile spread across Chrisâs face as he looked up from his drawing, âYour scared of Santa.â
Eddie let out a small laugh, âYour Abeula told you that story.â
âYeah.â
âWell Iâm guessing she left out the part that i had the flu.â
âShe said you say that to make it seem less worse.â
âDoes she now? Well just for that,â Eddie stood up scooping Christopher up in his arms, âitâs time for bed.â
âNoooooo!â Chris turned into a ball of laughter as Eddie put him down on the bed and pulled the covers up tucking him in.
âGood night buddy.â He kissed the top of his sons head.
âNight dad. I love you!â Chris called as Eddie walked over to the door.
âI love you too.â And with that Eddie turned off the light and closed the door behind him.
Walking over to the couch Eddie sat down and turned on the tv absently scrolling through Netflix trying to find something to watch. Though his mind kept wandering to Chrisâs imaginary friend. How come he did tell him sooner? Was he worried that heâd say that he was to old for imaginary friends? Did he talk to anyone else about Buck? Was this an actual person that he had met an was misremembering how he looked? Was it just someone who helped him and now he had become attached? Was Chris lonely? Realizing he was overthinking he finally redirected his focus to the tv, realizing that he had stopped scrolling in the middle of his over thinking. Netflix started playing the show that he apparent stopped on,Supernatural, he remembered Bobby talking about the show one time, apparently May really like it. She even went to comic con to meet the actors. Deciding he didnât have anything better in mind he put the remote down and let the episode play.
Eddie groaned as he slowly opened his eyes trying to wake up. He looked around and saw he had passed out on the couch, there was a pillow under his head and a blanket over him yet he didnât remember grabbing a pillow or blanket the night before. He was for once thankful that he had the second late shift because that meant he could spent time with Chris because it was the weekend and have some time to actually wake up before heading to work. He bolted up when he heard a crash come from behind him.
âSorry.â He realized it was just Christopher who had dropped something on the ground.
âItâs alright,â Eddie walked fully into the kitchen now, âwhat are you doing?â
âWhen I woke up you were still asleep on the couch so I decided to make you breakfast.â
âYou were? Well that very nice of you. How about I help you though?â
Chris looked at him and contemplated it for a brief moment, âok.â He smiled picking up the bowl.
âOk.â Eddie smiled back as he headed to the pantry to grab the ingredients they would need.
âHey dad,â Chris had finished his pancakes and was now looking at Eddie who was still eating.
âYeah,â Eddie put down his fork to look at his son.
âDid you know Buck has a sister?â
âI didnât.â Eddie was glad that Chris at least seemed more comfortable talking about Buck now that he knew Eddie knew about him.
âHe does. Her names Maddie sheâs Chimneyâs guardian angel.â
âIâm pretty sure Maddie is Chimâs girlfriend bud.â
âI know but sheâs also an angel like Buck.â
âReally?â
âReally.â
Eddie some how manages to be running late even with the fact that both Carla arrived early to pick up Chris and he managed to leave his house early himself. Damn LA traffic. When he finally did get to the firehouse his team already left on the first call of the shift. He knew he wouldnât hear the end of this from Chimney, heâs been living in LA for almost two years and yet he still seemed to forget about midday traffic. Deciding the best thing to do would be start his chores and pray that that getting them done would at least help Bobby forgive him for being late he headed to the locker room to get changed.
âEddie did you forget about traffic again?â Chimney walked up behind him slapping his back.
âNo I actually left early.â
âYet you were still late.â
Eddie shook his head ignoring Chimneyâs remark and faced at Bobby, âI really am sorry about being late, I did get my chores done for the day though while you guys were at the call.â
âIâll let it go this time because Iâm pretty sure this is the first time youâve been late since you started here. Just donât let it happen again.â
âIt wonât.â
The day was fairly slow after that, meaning everyone was just sitting around at the station. Bobby was baking, Hen was next to Eddie reading some medical textbook while Eddie was catching up on the news, and Chimney was playing pinball trying to beat the record Hen had set. The peace and quiet was suddenly interrupted by the bell going off signaling for an apartment fire.
When they arrived to the building other teams where already working on getting people out. Bobby headed straight to fire chief to find out what his team needed to do. She explained that stations 19 and 144 were clearing floors 1-10 so his team needed to clear floors 11-15.
Heading back to his team he relayed the information and assigned one floor for every three people so one truck could hold take two floors. Hen and Chimney were paired with another firefighter while Eddie was partnered with Lewis and Anderson, two paramedics that he knew somewhat well, which was a relief.
After clearing their floor, 13, Eddie, Lewis and Anderson heard Bobby called over the radio that everyone needed to get out, the building was going to collapse soon. As they walked down the hallway to the stairs Eddie swore he heard someone yelling but when he asked the other two about it they said they didnât hear anything. As they reached the stairs Eddie heard the yell once more and not being able to leave the building knowing that their might be someone calling for help he told Lewis and Anderson to go while he double checked the room he thought the yelling was coming from. They both gave him a look and said that the building wasnât stable and they needed to get out. He reassured them heâd be right behind them.
As he entered to room he was reassured in the fact that someone was calling out. He walked through the living room calling out to them trying to get another response. After clearing the living room and kitchen he headed to the two bedrooms. Grabbing the door frame to the master bedroom he felt the building shake, he was running out of time. He then saw something move in the corner of the room. He called out one final time and finally got a response a weak one but a response none the less. It was a little kid no older than 7 curled under the bed looking terrified.
âHey, Iâm here to help.â He walked over and knelt down, âCan you come out. Then we can get out of here together.â
The kid slowly crawled out from the bed and grabbed Eddies hand. As soon as he was out Eddie picked him up and ran out of the room, out of the apartment and into the hall, knowing he was going to be out of time soon. As he was halfway down the hall he felt the building shake and the floor give out beneath him. He held the kid closer, closed his eyes and waited for the impact of hitting the floor beneath them, but it never came. Instead when he opened his eyes he was outside the building. He was in the alley next to fire escape. Slowly he set the kid down try to process what had just happened, he looked around thinking maybe he passed out when he hit the floor and someone dragged him to the fire escape? But then someone would have been around. He shook his head, what had just happened he could try to figure out later right now he needed to get the boy to Chim and Hen so they could make sure he really was ok.
âHey buddy,â He took off his helmet and mask so he could talk easier, âyou alright? Can you walk?â
âI think so?â The kid mumbled looked confused himself.
âAlright follow me. Iâll take you to the ambulance where my friends can check you out and make sure youâre not hurt.â He took the boys hand once more and lead him out of the alley where he saw his team looking at the building collapsing in on itself.
âHen! Chimney! I got a kid I need to to check out.â He called waving to get their attention. As soon as their heads turned they, and Bobby, started running over.
It was 4pm by the time he got home which wasnât late which wasnât late enough for him to just go to bed even though he was beyond tired. Even though he just got off a 24 hour shift he really didnât feel like messing up his sleep schedule more than it already was. Instead he compromised with sitting down and relaxing that way he didnât have to do anything but would still sleep tonight. The only downside was Christopher was hanging out with his aunt meaning that if he did fall asleep no one would wake him up. But he could stay awake so that wasnât a problem, pulled up Disney+ this time and put on the Simpsons, not really paying attention he drifted off to sleep half and hour later.
Once again he was awoken by the noise of something crashing this time it sounded like multiple cookie trays had been dropped, the loud noise was followed by a quiet âshit!â Itâs takes Eddie a moment to realize that heâs supposed to be home alone and the second he does remember heâs up off the couch and quietly walking towards the kitchen trying to see who or what made the noise. As he gets a clear view of the kitchen he sees a man with dark blonde hair mumbling to himself holding a recipe book. Normally Eddie would be confronting the man asking what heâs doing in his house, or heâd be moving to make the better move, calling the police. Yet he just stands there frozen because from where heâs standing it looks like the man has soft barely blue wings and a glowing golden halo around his head. Eddie just froze, he finally shook his head and rubbed his eyes but nothing he did changed what he saw.
âKĂ€ra gud,â Eddie breaths out, he realizes he said that aloud when the man turns around and drops the book as his wings flair up. Eddies first thought is he looks like a big chicken ready to fight. When Eddie looks from the mans wings to his eyes heâs meet with the beautiful blue eyes it hits Eddie who this person in his kitchen looked exactly like,âBuck?â
A/n that last thing Eddie says is Dear god in Swedish and it was Spanish but I changed it because I saw a post about him also muttering under his breath in Swedish.

EVA GABOR
February 11, 1919
Eva Gabor was born in Budapest, Hungary, the youngest of three sisters, Zsa Zsa, and Magda.Â
She was the first of the sisters to immigrate to the US, shortly after her first marriage in 1937 when she was 18 years old.Â
âI was the first actress in the family, and I am still the only actress in the family. I shouldn't be saying it, but it slipped out!â ~ Eva Gabor
Her first movie role was in 1941's Forced Landing at Paramount Pictures.
She made her television debut in a 1949 episode of NBCâs âYour Show Timeâ titled âA Lodging for the Nightâ, the final episode of the anthology series. âYour Show Timeâ was the first television series to be shot on film and the first to receive an Emmy Award. Â
She worked for Desilu in two episodes of âThe Ann Sothern Showâ (1959 & 1961). Lucille Ball played Lucy Ricardo on the series in October 1959.Â
Despite her many appearances on stage and screens large and small, she is best known for playing Lisa Douglas on CBS TVâs âGreen Acresâ (1965-71) doing 170 episodes with Eddie Albert, who played her husband. She also played the character on âThe Beverly Hillbillies,â âPetticoat Junctionâ, âHoney, Iâm Homeâ and on a 1990 reunion show.
The series also featured many of Lucille Ballâs co-stars and friends: Barbara Pepper, Eleanor Audley, Jerry Hausner, Sid Melton, Bea Benadaret, Shirley Mitchell, Parley Baer, and many others.Â
While still doing âGreen Acres,â Gabor played romance novelist Eva Von Graunitz in âLucy and Eva Gaborâ (HL S1;E7). Â
She returned to the series (this time using her own name) in âLucy and Eva Gabor Are Hospital Roomiesâ (HL S5;E2) in September 1972.  (The above is a publicity photo since both stars were in separate hospital beds for the entire episode.)
This episode was hastily written to accommodate Lucille Ballâs broken leg.Â
She also appeared on Broadway five times between 1950 and 1983.Â
She was also a successful businesswoman, marketing wigs, clothing and beauty products.Â
In 1984, Eva Gabor was present at the âAll-Star Party For Lucille Ballâ although she was uncredited and did not speak. Gabor and Ball were also in the audience (and briefly on camera, although not together) when AFI gave itâs âLifetime Achievement Awardâ to Jack Lemmon in 1988.Â
Her final screen appearance was in a 1994 episode of âBurkeâs Lawâ a re-boot of a series she had also appeared on in 1963.Â
Gabor was married five times. Â
Eric Valdemar Drimmer (1937-42), a Swedish-born masseur turned osteopath and psychologist. Â
Charles Isaacs (1943-49), an American investment broker.
John Elbert Williams, MD (1956-57), a plastic surgeon.Â
Richard Brown (1959-73), a textile manufacturer, who later became a writer and director.
Frank Gard Jameson Sr. (1973-83), an aerospace executive.
After her final marriage, Gabor was involved in a relationship with TV producer Merv Griffin until her death. It was rumored that this was a platonic relationship to hide Griffin's suspected homosexuality.
She died in 1995 at age 76.  Â

Psych 2: Lassie Come Home Easter Egg and Reference Guide
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The following contains spoilers for Psych 2: Lassie Come Home.
As fun as 2017âs Psych: The Movie was, its 2020 sequel Psych 2: Lassie Come Home will likely supplant it in Psych-Osâ hearts, because itâs got 500% more Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson). But how does it stack up to its predecessor in terms of Psych callbacks and pop culture homages? Using our Spencer powers of observation, weâve tried to catch every recurring inside joke between Shawn (James Roday Rodriguez) and Gus (DulĂ© Hill), plus all the episodic-specific bits. Itâs a feature-length Hitchcock homage, but itâs also the toughest Easter egg hunt of your life. Câmon, son!
Psych 2: Lassie Come Home Easter Eggs and References
The title is a reference to Lassie Come Home, the 1943 Lassie movie about the beloved dog making her way home from Scotland. A German-language remake came out early in 2020.
Itâs always a treat to hear the Psych theme song âI Know, You Know,â performed by creator Steve Franks and his band The Friendly Indians.
Lassiter wakes up to Shawn and Gus hovering above him at the recovery clinic is a throwback to when they kidnapped him for his bachelor party in âDeez Nupsâ and he came to with them screaming âSurpriiise!â
Morrissey the rescue dog reprises his role from Psych: The Movie in being adorable, incredibly nosy, and oblivious to Shawnâs hissing commands.
Sarah Chalkeâs nurse character Dolores is most likely a nod to San Franciscoâs Mission Dolores church and cemetery, the location for Carlotta Valdesâ grave in Vertigo.
Right out the gate, Dolores is treated to the requisite Gus nickname: âMy name is Shawn Spencer, and this is my partner Bill Poopingtons.â However, Shawn and Gus take a sidebar for a very meta argument about their ongoing bit (while fitting in another bit):
âGus, donât be the night your dad fell asleep inside your mom. We canât just stop doing bits weâve been doing for ten years. We have fans, they have expectations, thereâll be a huge backlash.â
âShawn, we are two dumbasses, we do not have fans.â
Compromise: Gus gets right of refusal until they land on a nickname he prefers. And so:
Bill Poopingtons > All the Pips in One
Ding-Dong Ditch > Claude OâDern > Big Poppa Pump > Lemon-a Lemon-a Lemon-a Liiime
Leggo My Eggo > Norman Brown Butter > Dijon Hounsou
Gus also calls himself Jermajesty, channeling some Jackson Five energy.
âBlack Jelloâ was Gusâ nickname in their adult dodgeball league.
The Herschel House is likely a nod to Herschel Daugherty, who directed over two dozen episodes of Alfred Hitchcock PresentsâŠ
Gus and Shawn are still bickering over driving the drivers ed car, even if we donât see it in the movie. They do manage to be just as bad at turning the right direction when riding a motorcycle together.
âNow I know this âgoofy little white guy/sexy black dudeâ routine the two of you have going like the back of my scrubs.â Sarah Chalke played Elliot on Scrubs, whose JD/Turk bromance walked so that Shawn/Gus could run.
Shawn calls Dolores âthe nurse from Color of Night,â the 1994 Bruce Willis erotic mystery thriller that won a Golden Raspberry for Worst Picture.
The boys get Jamba Juice because you never turn down an opportunity for a Jamba.
Shawn likens Gusâ pubic hair to Eddie Murphyâs mustache in his 1987 stand-up film Raw.
Shawn offers the dismembered hand to Gus to âknuck it up softly,â per their penchant for fist-bumping.Â
They later do fist-bump outside the old Psych offices, but not before channeling Han Solo and Chewbacca in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: âGus, weâre home.â â[Wookiee sound]â
Psych has become a French-themed cat café⊠for now, at least. Itâs not an alternative universe from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but the current subletterâs pop-up business. The proprietor (not the girl from Orphan) is played by Allison Miller, James Roday Rodriguezâs co-star in A Million Little Things.
âI am a psychic. He is a sympathetic pooper.â Poor Gusâ intestinal system gets called out again.
Henryâs (Corbin Bernsen) put-on voice gets compared to Tom Waits, Kathleen Turner, Harvey Fierstein, and Diedrich Bader.
Shawn neglected to tell his landlord that heâd moved, which tracks with his behavior in the series finale âThe Break-Up.â
Henry reveals that in addition to telenovelas, he enjoys zeitgeist-y sobfests: âYou left behind a slow cooker with a three-pound roast in it. You nearly This Is Us-ed the entire block.â
âThis Is UsâDad, why are you watching that show? They have the same show on ABC but newerâ: Shawnâs shoutout to A Million Little Things.
Lassiter mistakes Reese Kessler, his supposed shooter, for country music singer Conway Twitty.
Lassiterâs to-do list includes âtape Galavant,â the short-lived musical comedy fantasy series created by Dan Fogelman (This Is Us), in which Timothy Omundson played King Richard. It also includes items poking fun at Lassiterâs crankiness (âyell at nature,â âchirping bird d-day planâ) and tenacity (âsolve black dahliaâ), and heartstring-tugging items (âpre-register for ironmanâ as in the triathlon). He also has written down Shawnâs S.E.I.Z.E. mantra from his short-lived career as Lassiterâs life coach in âS.E.I.Z.E. the Dayâ: Seize Eggs I donât know Zebra Eighties.
Juliet (Maggie Lawson) lying to Shawn sounds strange, though not as strange as Lupita Nyongâoâthe Tethered Lupitaâin Jordan Peeleâs Us.
Shawnâs âromantic dinnerâ for Jules is the menu from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (jelly beans, pretzels, buttered toast, popcorn, and ice cream sundaes) because itâs all they had at the gas station on the way home.
That prompts an iconic âCâmon, son!â from Gus.
Gusâ ringtone is âIâm Mr. Bootyman,â which is both Henryâs ringtone and the song featured in Buzz McNabâs bachelorette party stripper routine in âDeez Nups.â
Gusâ (technically Julesâ) green snuggie bears a striking resemblance to official Psych contest merch.
Lassiter spotting mysterious bleeding figures out his window is an homage to Rear Window.
Richard Schiff (as Dr. Herschel) was DulĂ© Hillâs co-star in The West Wing.
Potterhead Gus wants to know if there are any people hiding in the pipes of the Herschel House, âspeaking in their own tongue, perhaps Parsel.â
The Psych boysâ map of suspects briefly includes the Hell Hag from Gusâ dreams in âA Nightmare on State Street.â
Shawn has only been to Norway once with his brother-in-law Ewan OâHara (John Cena), but they donât talk about that⊠Maybe thatâs where Psych: The Movie went after its cliffhanger ending?
Ovaâs Norwegian song/chant toast at the Vikingâs Ice Den is very similar to the Swedish toast in âRight Turn or Left for Dead.â
Ovaâs violent son Per is first described as âthe bearded Daryl Hannah.â
Shawnâs excuse to Detective Buzz McNab (Sage Brocklebank) for being in Santa Barbara is that he forgot a frisbee signed by German writer/director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck.
Shawnâs first reaction to Jules potentially being pregnant: âYou know the windows in the loft donât even fully close, right? Iâm gonna have to replace them, otherwise this is Babyâs Day Out all over again.â As Gus reassures him, he always did get worked up over John Hughesâ worst idea.
At the old Psych offices, Shawn pulls out the jousting lance from â100 Cluesââas well as a pineapple! He looks about to ask, âShould we cut this up for the road?â (his question during the pineappleâs first appearance in the pilot, plus at the end of Psych: The Movie) but stops himself.
When Lassie believes that fellow patient Mr. Wilkerson (Kadeem Hardison) has been walking around, Shawn and Gus have to go âfull Dirty Rotten Scoundrelsâ to interrogate the supposedly catatonic patient.
Shoutout to Jessie Spanoâs infamous âIâm so excited, Iâm so excited, Iâm so scared!â speed speech from Saved by the Bell.
If itâs not Scrubs, the boys are getting compared to Ren and Stimpy.
Mary Lightly (Jimmi Simpson) returns in another incredible, extra-hallucinatory look into Shawnâs brain⊠this time as a baby, since Shawnâs got fatherhood on the brain.
âWe got jackaled!â Gus shouts upon learning that Wilkerson can walkâa reference to âhitting the jackal switch,â or going into stealth mode.
Shawn has always had a thing for singer Jewel, even after the Civil War movie (1999âs Ride with the Devil) and the Bollywood song.
Of course thereâs a nasty dance when Shawn and Gus figure out who they think is behind everything.
Gus declares that âI am not going to let you shoot Shulesâ baby!â only for the Chief (Kirsten Nelson) to ask, âWhatâs a Shules?â Thatâs the fansâ name for Shawn/Jules, a cute nod to a series OTP.
And of course, we canât forget the fact that Jazmyn Simon, who plays Selene, is DulĂ© Hillâs real-life wife.
More than once, Shawn quotes The Handmaidâs Tale in reference to Gus and Seleneâs baby: âPraise beâ and âBlessed is the fruit.â
Dolores compliments Lassiterâs âchest of hair plentiful enough to wake all of Destinyâs Child.â
Shawn comes up with possible names for Gusâ child: Shaft, Shaftie, or DâShaftâjust like Gusâ nickname ShâDynasty (with a âGodâs comma,â or apostrophe) from âSantabarbaratown.â
They also both coo âcâmon sonâ to Seleneâs womb.
Seleneâs proposal to Gus includes his negotiation that he and Shawn have adjacent homes with connecting pools, a callback to Shawn and Gus talking about their dream setup in âThe Break-Upâ; as well as Pluto! She asks, âWill you make me the happiest woman on this planet, on Eres, and Pluto?â
Shawn tells Juliet that âyouâre my person,â the iconic Greyâs Anatomy line (though one would argue that Gus more accurately is his person).
When Lassiter stands (shut up, youâre crying) to meet Marlowe (Kristy Swanson), they place their palms togetherâlike they did when he would visit her in jail, like they did at their wedding. My heart.
Join us on the Easter egg huntâlet us know what references we missed!
