This was another cutting that I received from my mother-in-law. If you look closer in this photo, you can see that a little baby is growing underneath the big guy. When these guys get older the leaves start taking a distinct angled shape.

Echeveria peacockii hybrid

Echeveria peacockii is a beautiful powdery-leaved species from Puebla and Oaxaca in southern Mexico. The other parent in the cross may be Echeveria runyonii, but we are not certain of this. The "shepherd's crook" type of flower seen here, with the tip nodding downward, is seen in many Echeveria species. Our plant is just starting to flower, but it has a remarkable number of emerging flower stalks. Echeveria belongs to the Crassulaceae, or Stonecrop Family.

Silver Spoons or 'Topsy Turvy' (Echeveria runyonii) is native to the state of Tamaulipas in Mexico. Several cultivars have been described and cultivated including several named cultivars my plant is a “Topsy Turvy’. It’s a mutant form California, with leaves positioned upside-down. Pretty Plant. Eche’s are quite easy to look after just don’t overwater or allow it to sit with wet feet. Last year I broke off some leaves and this year I have several more plants.
