The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said that the deployment of soldiers to the Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra cannot stop the operation of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, in the state. IPOB refered to the deployment of soldiers to the area as illegal and a waste of government resources. We call on International Community, to carry out thorough investigation into the unannounced war, and bloodshed going on in the South Eastern states especially. All the media houses in Nigeria, have been barred from reporting, or announcing events associated with the war against our people going on there. They include: radio, television, and print media. Nigerian Government authorized the use of fighter jets, against our people in the communities. When you throw bombs, or use war planes to attack the place, you engage in wanton destruction of lives and property. People are killed in their homes, in the bush farms; residential buildings and shops, are destroyed. Our oppressors claim to be bombing hideouts of Eastern Security Network (ESN). They’re out to destroy our land, and make it Fulani Colony. They’re meeting stiff resistance from our people, who have the right to defend themselves.

PUNCH reports some gunmen had last Monday killed the DPO, an Inspector of police and a civilian in an attack at Ahiara. Confirming the new development at the command headquarters, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Danjuma Aboki, said the arrest of the suspects followed a coordinated operation by the operatives of the command.
