Woke up at 7am this morning, having fallen asleep on my couch, and I'd like to thank God for allowing me to see this magnificent sunrise.
SubhAn Allah
S45. V13 : « He also subjected for you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth—all by His grace. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect. »

V13 oneshot
V13 shambled along as he crawled his way out of hell once more, the dark blue v-model had been released of his chains and once more returned to earth's dead surface. V13 had his progress of the rebirth of mankind's old world by a council of holy angels much to his annoyance, though the dark machine could not blame an angel who grieved their maker for lashing out.
V13's circuits hummed happily seeing the once-dead land had progressed in his absence of the surface. The machines that the dark blue machine had worked on had continued and made the land flourish during their makers' absence knowing it was their duty and V13's dream for animals and flora to spread throughout the world once more.
The giant machines; the gatekeepers of hell, that V13 had made trilled and buzzed happily to see their creator. The dark blue machine had always made an effort to befriend what machines he had made when he could. V13 let out a mechanical chuckle at the affectionate welcome the giant machines had shown V13. Though V13 had much to tend to, the cauldrons most likely needed repairs, and the corrupt v-model couldn't have the subdivision v-models step out of line so for now, V13 had a lot ahead of him.
(RAHHH CIRCUITS NOTE!! I hope you sillies enjoy my silly rambling of v13 if he managed to crawl to the surface! I will say I'm still getting used to writing out me thoughts so I'm sorry if this is a bit rough <:]c)
#v13 ultrakill oc#ultrakill oc#v-model oc#oneshot#i do not know all writing thingies I am sorry if I titled wrong blows up!!

general thoughts on karma files/favorite route?
...Well, damn, this is going to be a long answer. Putting everything under readmore in case it veers off into spoiler territory.
So I prefer the paragon route, generally speaking, but I can see why you guys might like the renegade route more.
What I know is from watching playthroughs of the renegade route on youtube, but the way the plot that route is leading towards does lowkey intrigue me. Especially how the two route exclusive(-ish?) characters are connected (from what I understood, after M2 attacked the MC's host in the Plane of Dissonance, she was spirited away by Karma and placed into the body of the renegade route's Melia while the paragon post-PM Melia somehow ended up in M2's original body where she wandered around for a bit with the MC's host until she was given the chance to return to the point where she left off. Not to mention that the paragon and renegade MCs seem to be in cahoots with each other, with the End of Night spell and the Red Chain trade).
.Karma files on the other hand? I absolutely adore it. I love how in the paragon route we get the chance to bond with the main cast, either through the main story or through sidequests like the Xenogene movie. And we finally get some well-needed Crescent lore! Before v13.5 I didn't really care much for her since she felt more like a plot device and deus ex machina to bail the MC out of tight spots than an actual character, but in the current version she feels more human and def way more involved (the part where she intervenes in Helojak was fucking awesome, have I ever mentioned that? And then there's also where you talk to her after the Valor Summit incident, which feels more... I don't know, real? At least it got me more invested in her than v13 did and maybe a smidgen of guilt).
Can I just say that Crescent is adorkable? She's now one of my top fav rejuv characters, right behind Erin.
And then there's the Renegade stuff. I don't really have much to say about the main story stuff, but the events leading to the final boss was... interesting, to say the least. Spacea and Tiempa were Interceptors from the era of the Old Earth, who later became Overseers of the System by merging with Palkia and Dialga respectively? So it does imply that they're either something like a prototype for the Interceptor MC, or they're only "Interceptors" in the sense that they were beings summoned from foreign worlds to serve as wildcards to give them an edge. The final part of the Missing Children sidequest does seem to give the second possibility some credence with V, who claimed to be an "Interceptor" by virtue of being from another world but since they weren't chosen by the System like the MC and Crescent did they had no real power beyond the ability to interfere with another's fate.
On an unrelated note, the space hags are fucking cheaters in both the Paragon and Renegade versions of their battle. It's a neat concept in theory, but in gameplay it makes me want to throttle them. Spacea steals your Pokemon and Tiempa (perhaps the most bs mechanic in rejuv imo) would fucking reset your team like how a player would spam f12 to get the rng in their favour. Maybe it's payback for us abusing tf out of the game's quicksave function, but it sure doesn't feel nice (in a humourous "Only I can heal in battle, not the NPC Bosses" kind of way).
tl;dr I think .Karma Files is awesome, and my fav route is the Paragon Route (Renegade is great too, and in some areas more fascinating that Paragon, but I just don't have the heart to do all that effed up stuff lmao)
#ask answers#yeah this is a long one and i prob went off topic#but i genuinely did enjoy .karma files and i can't wait to see where both routes would lead to#i can't really fit everything in there#so feel free to ask more questions

Music for The Soul
by Alexander MacLaren
What Lasts!
"Whether there be prophecy, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away… But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three." – 1 Corinthians 13:8-13
We discern the run of the Apostle’s thought best by thus omitting the intervening verses and connecting these two(v8 and v13). The part omitted is but a buttress of what has been stated in the former of our two verses; and when we thus unite them, there is disclosed plainly the Apostle’s intention of contrasting two sets of things, three in each. The one is prophecies, tongues, knowledge; the other, faith, hope, charity. There also comes out distinctly that the point mainly intended by the contrast is the transiency of the one and the permanence of the other. I ask this question: What will drop away? Paul answers, "Prophecies, tongues, knowledge." Now these three were all extraordinary gifts belonging to the present phase of the Christian life. But inasmuch as these gifts were the heightening of natural capacities and faculties, it is perfectly legitimate to enlarge the declarations and to use these three words in their widest signification. So understood they come to this, that all our present modes of apprehension and of utterance are transient, and will be left behind.
"Knowledge, it shall cease," and it shall cease because the perfect absorbs into itself the imperfect, as the in-rushing tide will obliterate the little pools in the rocks on the sea-shore. "We shall know face to face," which is what philosophers call by intention. Here our knowledge creeps from point to point, painfully amassing facts, and thence, with many hesitations and errors, groping its way towards principles and laws. Here it is imperfect, with many a gap in its circumference; or like the thin red line which shows the traveler’s route across a boundless prairie, or like the spiders thread in the telescope, stretched athwart the blazing disc of the sun - "but then face to face." Incomplete knowledge shall be done away; and so many of its objects will drop, so much of what makes the science of earth will be antiquated and effete. What would the hand-loom weaver’s knowledge of how to throw his shuttle be worth in a weaving-shed with a thousand looms? Just so much will the knowledges of earth be when we get yonder.
Modes of utterance will cease. With new experiences will come new methods of communication; as a man can speak and beasts can only growl or bark, so a man in heaven, with new experiences, will have a new method of communication. The comparison between that mode of utterance which we now have and that which we then possess will be like the difference between the old-fashioned semaphore, that used to wave about clumsy wooden arms, in order to convey intelligence, and the telegraph. Think, then, of a man going into that future life, and saying, " knew more about Sanskrit than anybody that ever lived in Europe"; " sang sweet song"; "was a past master in philology, grammars, and lexicons"; " was a great orator." "Tongues shall cease," and the modes of utterance that belonged to earth will drop away and be of no more use.
If these things are true with regard even to the highest form of these high and noble things, how much more and more solemnly true are they with regard to the aims and objects which most of us have in view! They will all drop away, and we shall be left, stripped of what, for most of us, has made the whole interest and activity of our lives.

The so called fits of pit rage? A theory. One Bruce had been so very, very wrong about… the man hadn’t even been close.
-x-x-x-x-x-x-
Things did not blow over- not that Tim had expected them to. After the first twelve hours of phone calls and text messages, and fighting the urge to smash the phone to pieces, he simply turned it off and threw it in the drawer beside the bed.
Sure enough Wayne Enterprises was flustered, the secretaries running around like headless chickens, and as he had expected no one seemed to want to just let things go and blow over. No, of course not. They preferred to lecture him. To try and assign him a guard. To try and persuade him to see a therapist- as though he could actually tell the truth about anything that had occurred over the last several years. They would give him the next available padded cell at Arkham if he tried, doctor-patient confidentially his ass... Of course too many of the employees had noticed how worn down he had looked the past several months. How he spaced out during meeting and phone calls. Him secluding himself away from almost anyone at work that didn't have the last name 'Fox', and how even then Tam avoided him when possible.
And of course he couldn't just deny having a stalker- no, because Vale had publicly used it as his excuse for the assault.
Dick had clearly filled Bruce in on things as well, as he never once heard from the man.
Continued radio silence it was then...
Not that he should really be surprised.
How many times in the past had Bruce cut people out of his life? Plenty. Perhaps it hurt more knowing how close they had been compared to those other people.
He ate a half-assed dinner in silence.
He could barely taste it.
-x-x-x-x-x-x-
He hid inside for the next two days. He was far from being in the mood to deal with people. He perhaps should have been worried about so many days of patrol missed, but with two Batmen, a Robin, a Batgirl, and a Catwoman running around he was sure that he wasn't actually needed. After all, Red Robin had done his job. Bruce was back.
Unless something truly out of the ordinary popped up he highly doubted that anyone would be requesting his assistance.
But it really went to show just how spaced out he was, because while he felt no shame for abandoning his post to others of the Bat-clan, he hadn't for a moment stopped to think of how Jason would take things, and really that should have been a priority.
Staying home in bed solved zero problems.
It in fact had the potential to create them.
Something he only realized when he woke with a start to find one Red Hood looming over his bed with a glock pointed at his face.
The world would have to forgive him for the high pitched squeak that left his lips, but he was sure it was judging him for falling backwards off the bed, nearly braining himself on the nightstand.
To prove his point even Jason let out a snort of disbelief.
Tim could only look up at him gaping, rubbing the shoulder he had slammed into the edge of the table, waiting for something to give. He flinched when Jason took a step forward, and again he found himself really cursing that damn helmet because everything was made all the worse by being unable to see the man's face. Jason cocked his head and stepped forward- faster than he could register.
Much to Tim's horror he found his chin being tilted upward by the head of the pistol. His throat worked anxiously, as if swallowing down his nerves and fear, hands splayed across the carpet frozen. He stared up at the reflected eyes of the helm and felt a burning flash of shame at how utterly done he looked. It was one thing to go out into public slathered in makeup to cover up how pale he was, the dark rings under his eyes that stuck around even after far too much sleep to compensate, with enough caffeine buzzing through his system to mask his bone deep exhaustion, and an entirely different situation all together to see him in the privacy of his own home after days of seclusion. Now he was bare- and he looked like shit. That helmet only continued to mock him.
“If you're here to knock me unconscious again I should probably let you know that I've already spent the past three days in bed, so really, I've spent more time out of it than reasonable already...” He muttered.
“Clearly. You look half dead.” The man huffed. “I would know.”
Tim sighed.
“Lovely.”
Despite the banter there was no letting his guard down. The gun was still pointed at him, he was at a severe disadvantage, and Jason was being cryptically silent.
Not a good sign.
Jason enjoyed being chatty.
The staring match seemed to go on forever.
“You really didn't tell.” The Hood broke the silence without warning, and despite himself Tim jumped a little.
“I already told you that!” He snipped, and in the moment he could care less how pissy his face looked. “It wasn't in anyone's best interest.”
“Because you have oh so many reasons to tell me the truth, right?”
Tim could practically hear the eye-roll.
“You certainly haven't given me any, that's for sure. It's not as though I even have much to tell. I have no idea what's going on, just theories, and no facts.” He sighed, wondering if it would be wise to chance pulling himself back up on the bed, or if it would be that break in focus to get him lunged at. “I guess the number one question at the moment though is, why do you believe me now?”
Jason huffed, and to Tim's surprise he reached up with his free hand, and began pulling the gleaming red helm off. He found some comfort in the man's eyes being their usual shade and not the dark abyss they had been the night this had all started. He was not however willing to make bets on whether the look on Jason's face meant murder or amusement however. He supposed with him it really could be both.
“I had a heart to heart with Bruce today...” He grinned, and Tim supposed Jason enjoyed the fact that someone knew- that someone was properly afraid now, because it was all teeth. “At the docks. Blew a warehouse to pieces. Really, he should thank me. I have no idea how much coke was mingled in with the pallets of sand bags, but the GCPD are either in cahoots or idiots. In all honestly probably both. Very few people worth a damn at the department and they're all Gordon's best. The rest are useless. Kept an obscene amount from hitting the streets tonight. Some casualties. Mass property damage. Judgmental bat-glares all around. But the point is, if Bruce had known he never would have acted like everything was just as fucked up as usual. He would have done everything in his power to try and bring me in. He would have monologued, suddenly convinced that everything was beyond my control, that I could suddenly be saved. But he was just his usual unbearable self.” The older man spat, curling his lip with a snarl.
Tim sucked in a deep breath ans slowly pulled himself up to perch back up on the mattress. He looked up to see Jason following him with his eyes and barely suppressed the shudder.
“Good. I told the truth. Mind leaving?” he growled, despite the potential seriousness of the the situation.
The man snorted.
Well, it had been worth a try he supposed...
“I wouldn't have come for you in a broadly lit street let alone one so crowded you know. Punching the man was a bit of a an overreaction on your part. Lucky no one's suing...” He paused, seemingly only amused by the glare on the younger man's face. “If I had wanted you dead I would have slipped in while you were sleeping. No witnesses. No collateral damage. Of course, I'd let you wake up first- pointless if you died without knowing it was me... that saved Bruce once, but that's getting off topic. If I wanted you dead there wouldn't be any stopping me. So don't give me a reason. You're of more use to me alive than you are six feet under...”
“And that's supposed to reassure me?”
“Just telling you how it is, Tim.” He smirked, and suddenly a clawed finger was under his chin forcing him to meet the man's eyes. “This could be just what we needed...”
And with the Jason was snapping the helmet back over his head, and before Tim could react- not that he would have prolonged his visit any further regardless, Jason had vanished out a previously closed window.
“...we?”
One thing was for sure...
He was going to electrify his entryways.

I just had a thought. What if something happened if you nuke Pylon V-13? I know if anything happened you would have discovered/gone insane about it, but I can't stop thinking about what if? Like some combination of the EMP and the radiation with what must be some sort of interdimensional weak-point causing the portal to re-open, or more interestingly the two dimensions start bleeding into each other. Or maybe that's how BOMB-01 got into this reality?
i spent my third and latest unforgivable sin against holy, innocent mother earth on pylon v13. nothing happens.
when i arrived at the portal i found nothing but the professor's message. i listened to it for the hundredth time and thought about the scale of the sin i had just committed and the evidence that i had acted on and felt a deep shame
this wretched portal is the coolest thing on the east coast and nobody talks about it
anyway yea. we need to qualify that paranormal bullshit didn't end the world, that was consumer industrialism ruling politics through corporations who were allowed to exercise fascism through money and government. but also i am certain fallout works like this:

Help for the Helpless | Isaiah 41:8-13
Main Idea: The good news is that God helps the helpless by making us his friends and by meeting us in our fears!
I. Help as a Friend (v8-9):
“8 But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend; 9 you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.”
Israel must have felt pretty helpless in their isolation as exiles. God was still calling this helpless people to himself.
He does this by reminding them that they were his possession (“my servant”).
While the surrounding pagan nations served impotent masters, Israel’s master was the living God who had “chosen” them.
He had uniquely set them apart sheerly out of his goodness and love, beginning with “Abraham”.
Abraham did nothing to deserve this designation but God mercifully chose him to be the recipient of the blessing.
God also chose his spiritual “offspring” as well - those who like Abraham “believed and it was counted as righteousness” (Rom 4:3) because it is “those of faith who are the sons of Abraham”.
God chose Abraham’s offspring from “the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners”.
But God doesn’t just call us family. He calls us “friends”.
God seeing us as both friends and family means He wants to be in relationship with us.
This doesn’t come without cost on our end.
Though he is singularly responsible for the relationship, we are his “servant” and thereby owe him our allegiance, devotion, and lives.
Again, we willingly do so because he has “chosen” us and “not cast (us) off”.
This brings the family piece back into place. His covenant to us makes us family.
II. Help in our Fears (v10-13):
“10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 11 Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. 12 You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. 13 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”
In our helplessness, there is always great fear. The Israelites themselves had been taken captive by the Assyrian Empire by chains and hooks. They were to be exiled again by Babylon. These were fear-inducing moments.
When we are fearful, we desire nothing more than relief in our fears.
God meets Israel right in the midst of their fears, saying, “fear not for I am with you”.
What is the greatest fear reliever? That God be with us! That He will “strengthen” us in our fears.
He will do this by providing “help” and help in the form of a “righteous right hand”.
Our strength will be directly derived from his strength.
And his strength is found most profoundly in his righteousness.
There were nations that hated Israel; formidable, insolent, severe - who were “confounded” by God’s people.
Instead of being brought to repentance by trusting in Israel’s God, they instead were brought to rage and sought the ruin of Israel.
God’s response is that they would be brought to ruin: “shall be nothing and shall perish”.
Israel would “seek those” who hated them but would “not find them”; those who had come against Israel would be “nothing at all”.
These nations had rejected God and they would eventually fall away because of God’s judgment.
But God’s people would be delivered. God says “I the Lord your God, hold your right hand” (v13).
God is making some things clear here:
He is the one true God. He is the sovereign ruler. He has the right to do what he pleases.
He “holds (our) right hand” which means he is the means of our strength.
Deliverance comes only through him.
There is actual “help”, from God, and therefore we are positioned well to “fear not”.
Reflect: Knowing that God helps me as a friend and helps me in my fears, in what ways does that impact my heart and mind today?

Two Of Me
“For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:3-4NASB
There’s too often ‘two of me.’ And you? Paul appeared to suffer from this syndrome. He wrote— Romans 7:15NIV “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”
How can we possibly have died with our lives hidden with Christ, when we still sin— doing things we hate? I must answer this question quickly. Why? Because I want to be hidden in Christ— in the sinless “…secret place of the Most High…” Psalm 91:1KJV.
Sin is liberal, allowing everyone to participate, by merely missing the mark of living in love. Read Romans 7. My childhood, sin was defined with man-made rules, and disobeying the 10 Commandments, aka— religion.
Religion missed God’s intention. The 10 Commandments intended to reveal— we couldn’t live sinless without God’s ever constant help.
Colossians 3 lists how to walk in life without sin: V2 “Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” How? Renewing your mind, (Romans 12:2) God’s Word replacing our thinking. Seeing loving others and scriptures are life giving.
V8-9 “…put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth. Do not lie to one another…” Evil responses doesn’t remain in the mind renewed in God’s Word. Rather love shows up to be the first response.
V12 “…put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;” Choose love over emotionally driven actions. Demonstrating love doesn’t come natural. When emotions are inflamed, ‘put on’ attitudes of love from a heart of selflessness, displaying Christ living in you.
V13 “bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone…” Instead of being a control freak— unbearable, die daily to being in control. Help others, lift them up in prayer and love. Millions of people are wounded, needing healing. Hurt people hurt people out of pain. Forgiveness is a choice to self-heal, and allow Jesus to accomplish, what He needs to do in your life and the offender’s life.
V14 “…put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” Nothing makes less sense to the wicked than loving without a reason. Jesus always chose love.
When we love each other— all of the body of Christ— we’ll come into the bond of unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17:11NASB “…that they may be one even as We are.” United in love, we can prove to the world Jesus is alive.
V15 “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts… be thankful” Peace is the opposite of anxiety. With the arrival of COVID, I tasted again raw fear. Peace was gone. After ten days of fasting, prayer, praise and thanksgiving— fear was overcome. Peace returned.
One of Jesus’ promises to us, John 14:27ASV “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.”
My second me is learning, Debbie is hidden in Christ. I/we will be revealed with our King. Living fearless love doesn’t come naturally. Will you choose to be hidden away in Christ, growing in love? It’s your choice. You choose.
PRAYER: Papa God we don’t desire to live a life of having ‘two of me,’ but one focused on looking like Jesus. You desire Your children to live out of Christ. Help us please to learn to be dead to ourselves, in Jesus’ name I pray.
by Debbie Veilleux Copyright 2021 You have my permission to reblog this devotional for others. Please keep my name with this devotional as author. Thank you.

How do these Black Holes exist? On May 21 of 2019, the LIGO observatory facilities in Washington and Louisiana, and the VIRGO facility in Italy detected a few tiny wobbles in the fabric of space-time, enough to wiggle the position of highly sensitive optics and generate a detectable signal. This was the passage of a gravitational wave, one of now several dozen potential candidates discovered by these observatories since they came fully on line a few years ago. Out of only a handful of confirmed gravitational waves, this one has some unique properties.
Gravitational waves are produced when something really big happens in the universe. The ones humans have detected so far involve the mergers of black holes and neutron stars; as these massive objects approach each other, they convert some of their mass into energy that bends spacetime, and that energy propagates outwards as a gravitational wave. As a gravitational wave passes, the detectors in the LIGO facilities wobble ever so slightly, creating a measureable signal that can be recorded as a waveform. Scientists have produced a number of models for the shape of the wave as it passes Earth and can compare the measured waveforms to simulated waveforms that estimate the distance to the wave source, the masses of the objects involved in creating it, and some properties of their orbit and spin. Although there are some other possibilities, the best fit for this gravitational wave was a merger between 2 black holes, one of which had a mass 65 times that of our sun and another which had a mass 85 times the mass of our sun. These masses are particularly interesting in that at least one of those black holes…theoretically shouldn’t exist. Black holes are formed when large stars, several times the mass of our sun, collapse. Scientists have located candidate black holes that are only a few times the mass of our sun, and they have located massive to supermassive black holes with masses greater than 150x the mass of our sun, but there is a gap in-between, for intermediate mass black holes. While black holes can have any masses, there is a problem in creating intermediate mass black holes. When a star is collapsing inwards, the pull of gas inwards causes the material to heat up. In smaller stars, as this is happening the core of the star produces gamma rays that push back against the force of gravity, limiting the flow of gas into the core. It turns out, these gamma rays actually protect the black hole as it is in the process of forming from another violent effect. If the gas in the star is pulled in too much, it heats up and converts those gamma rays into electron/positron pairs. When this happens, the core loses its support, and gas comes rushing in so fast that it triggers a re-ignition of fusion in the star. This new fusion releases energy that either blasts away some of the star or, alternatively, rips the entire collapsing star apart. If a star has high enough mass, then as it collapses all the gas just reaches the state where it becomes a black hole and it converts directly to one during a supernova. But this “pair instability” problem of creating electron/positron pairs and removing the gamma rays that keep the forming black hole in balance predicts that there is a range of masses we shouldn’t see in black holes. The 85 solar mass black hole falls right in this range. According to the current models, it can’t be produced by a supernova; the star should have ripped itself apart rather than creating that black hole. So, how did this black hole form? Well, one possibility is that our understanding of the physics is slightly wrong. Describing the pair-instability mass range requires a detailed understanding of how the exact isotopes that flare up in a collapsing star behave under extreme conditions, and this black hole could be telling us that we don’t have those numbers quite right. Alternatively, the other way to make this black hole would be to combine 2 smaller black holes to make this one; in this case, we would be observing at least the second black hole merger in this object’s history. There is some support for this model; the orbits and spin suggested by the gravitational wave suggest that this black hole may have had a particularly rapid spin, possibly relating to a previous black hole merger. Furthermore, an observatory in California detected a gamma ray flare occurring 35 days after the initial gravitational wave from the same direction in the sky; this flare could have been produced by dust heated from the energy of the black hole merger. If that’s the case, it suggests these black holes are in a dusty molecular cloud, a region of high star formation where multiple black hole mergers would be more likely. Overall, this gravitational waves shows us the merger between a 65 solar mass and an 85 solar mass black hole, with 8 solar masses being converted into energy to leave behind a 142 solar mass black hole. At the very least, this observation seems to confirm the presence of intermediate mass black holes, the size that previous sky surveys have yet to uncover. -JBB Image credit and press release: https://news.mit.edu/2020/ligo-virgo-gravitational-wave-0902 Original papers: https://physics.aps.org/articles/v13/111 https://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.125.101102 https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/2041-8213/aba493

Ethically
One of the definitions of Ethics is simply:
The rightness or moral quality of an action, put more simply BEING GOOD, DOING GOOD.
Jesus had ethical standards, two things in particular distinguished Him.
He not only taught Ethics, He lived them.
In His messages He gave, ethics were integral to the whole of His message.
A lot of the examples of ethical teaching by Jesus can be found in the Gospel of Mathew in the Beatitudes.
Matthew 5 v3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, because the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
5 v4 Blessed are those who mourn, because they will be comforted.
5 v5 Blessed are the gentle, because they will inherit the earth.
5 v6 Blessed are those who hunger, and thirst for righteousness because they will be filled.
5 v7 Blessed are the merciful, because they will be shown mercy.
5 v8 Blessed are the pure in heart because they will see God.
5 v 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called sons of God.
5 v10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, because the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
5 v11 Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me {Jesus}.
5 v12 Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in Heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Ethics are values, you hold true.
Jesus' teachings were about how to live and why we should live that way.
Jesus' teaching were eschatology (teaching concerned with final things,as death, judgement, heaven and hell)
That is why it is impossible to separate His ethics from His teachings about Himself, to follow them without first following Him.
Jesus always challenges to 'Come follow Me'.
Matthew 4 verse 19 to 20
V19 "Follow Me" He (Jesus) told them, "and I will make you fish for people"
v20 Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.
Mark 1 verse 17
"Follow Me" Jesus told them "and I will make you fish for people"
Jesus' challenge is "come, follow Me' ---not come follow a system.
Follow Jesus as a way of life.
Follow His teachings as a way of reaching high ethical standards.
Believers are Salt and Light. Matthew 5 verses 13 to 18
V13 You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt should lose it's taste how can it be made salty.
Verse 16 In the same way let your light shine, before men (people), so that thay may see your great works, and give glory to your Father in Heaven.
TO SUM UP - Ethics is about rightness or moral quality of an action.
Jesus laid down His life for us, that through rising again we could have new life.
Come follow Him and accept the challenge.
God Bless

Favourite Psalms Thoughts on Psalm 139 by Christine Scobie For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. 1 You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. v1-4 God my Heavenly Father sees me, He knows me through and through. What a sense of wellbeing and contentment! 5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. v5 I am covered and protected by my Heavenly Father. What security and safety! 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. v6 How wonderful that the Almighty God, the God of all creation is mindful of me and is watching over me. Too amazing! 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. v7-10 My Heavenly Father is always with me, my hand held securely in his. What an assurance! 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. v11-12 Even in the darkest night I need not fear. God sees me and is with me. What a comfort! 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. v13-16 God has made me on purpose, for his purpose. May I live all my days for him. What a privilege! 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, [1] God! https://www.instagram.com/p/CkoDFqYoHDr/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Music For the Soul

What Lasts!
Whether there be prophecy, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away. . . . But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three. - 1 Corinthians 13:8-13

THREE UNCLEAN SPIRITS LIKE FROGS
THREE UNCLEAN SPIRITS LIKE FROGS
‘And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon; and out of the mouth of the beast; and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.’ ***** Revelation ch16 v13&14 of the Authorized (King…
