More Than Anything!

Yume Ume Birthday Vignette!

Summary: “IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY!?!” Ace shouted, his voice echoing through the rose garden maze. As he did, time seemed to stop, all the Heartslabyul students' Unbirthday celebrations came to a halt at the words; they stared at their table.

(This is just a little fun thing I had in mind for Yume's birthday. Since it would be their first Birthday card I wanted to focus on some of their first friends at NRC; The Heartslabyul Gang! There's references galore and I'm sure people will spot them. Thank you again for all the sweet birthday wishes! (o´▽`o))

“Hey what up everyone, it's ya boy CayCay! Here #live from another Heartslabyul Unbirthday party!” Cater said, flashing a wink and peace sign to his phone's camera as he went live on Magicam.

“Does he always do that?” Yuuta asked,to no one in particular, sitting next to Yume on the other side of the large round table.

“Every unbirthday party, on the dot, for the past three years.” Trey said lightheartedly, though Yume could hear the slight edge of exasperation that could only come from knowing a person’s habitual routine for years.Trey laid down a tray of tarts to the guest table causing Ace, Yuuhi, and Grim to cheer and dig in immediately. Yume waited a few seconds before the carnage was over to grab a piece of their own and placed it gently to the side.

“You get used to it pretty fast.” Deuce smiled with a good natured shrug, grabbing two pieces of a tart and laying one on Yuuta’s plate. The two of them shared a look and a smile, before turning back to their food. Yume caught Yuuta’s eye as they gave him a smug look, Yuuta rolled their eyes, saying nothing. Yume snickered, as their brother's fair cheeks tinted a bit pink and they stuffed a forkful of tart in their mouth.

“Today is extra special because we have our honored guests, *dun dun dun dunn~!* The Ramshackle gang! Say, “hi” guys~!” Cater said, humming a fanfare noise, before turning the phone camera around to the three brothers. Yume jumped and instinctually leaned to hide behind Yuuta's shoulder.

Yuuta gave Cater a look, before turning away from the camera as well, covering their face eating their tart. Yuuhi flashed a peace sign, as comments flooded the screen:

“Cater, don't spend the entire party on your phone.” Riddle warned, gracefully taking a sip from his rose patterned teacup.

Cater’s shoulders hiked at being called out and he sheepishly rubbed that back of his head.

“Yep yep, of course!” He said placatingly to Riddle, then he looked back at the camera. “That’s all for now! Gotta get back to my card soldier duty or it's off with my head~! Be sure to check my feed later for pics! Bye Bye~” He said cheerfully, giving a playful wink before ending the stream. Then, he sat in his chair, a content smile on his face as he scrolled through his feed of comments.

There was a sigh from Riddle, it seemed like he wanted to comment more about Cater’s media addiction, but decided against it. Trey laughed at his sigh.

“Well, he’s nothing if not consistent!” Trey said in good nature, coming back with the last dessert from the kitchen and finally sitting down in his own chair. “Oh here, Yume, try some of this cake!”

Yume perked up at their name being called. “Oh no, it’s okay I already have this tart.” They said politely waving him off. Trey raised a knowing eyebrow at them.

“But, you don’t like tarts, Yume.” He said coyly.

“Mh-!” Yume’s eyebrows raised in surprise, their brothers and friends looked at them curiously. Trey continued before they could deny it.

“You always take a piece to be polite, but you never end up eating it. You usually end up giving it to Grim afterwards.” He said, adjusting his glasses, as if he was making the observation right now.

“Uh, well I-It’s not that it tastes bad I ju-” They stumbled to get the words out.

“Hey, hey, it’s fine I’m not mad or anything. We all have different tastes here!” He said, holding his hands up in a placating motion. Yume sighed, not mad, but a little embarrassed at being called out.

“Sorry, it's not your baking skills or anything Trey, I’m just a bit picky about food is all…” Yume trailed off.

“You guys should see the way he eats popcorn.” Yuuta chimed in.

“Yuuta!” Yume slapped his arm playfully.

“Oh, it must be really weird.” Ace staged whispered teasingly.

Yume groaned dramatically, laying their head on the table as their friends had a good natured laugh at their expense.

“Like I said, I’m not mad or anything. Actually, I’ve been taking it as a bit of a challenge, to bake something you like-without getting your input, that is. So I think you’ll really like this cake.” Trey said, cutting them a slice and sliding it over to them.

It was a 3 layered cake with a light colored frosting. There was a light drizzle of red syrup and an arrangement of strawberries at the top to imitate a rose in full bloom. It looked good enough, like all the flavors Yume usually liked to eat. They gave a tentative sniff and didn’t have a problem, so they picked up their fork. They were a little on edge, it felt as though everyone was watching them and waiting for their opinion as they popped the piece of cake into their mouth. “Mmh~!” They made a noise of satisfaction as the cake touched their tongue. The frosting was sweet, but not overpowering. Letting them taste the light fluffy cake and tart tanginess of the strawberries and syrup. They closed their eyes in delight, their cheeks flushing with happiness as they smiled. Because their eyes were closed they missed Trey’s goofy fist pump in success.

A sudden click and flash, however, did make them open their eyes.

“Ah! Me-Me is so cute, that’s definitely getting a lot of likes!” Cater said, pulling his phone down to look at his picture. He received an elbow bump and a look from Yuuta.

“A-ah-, that is as long as Me-Me is okay with me posting it.” He amended. Yume let out a breath. Guess that “mom” title really stuck. Yume thought , looking at their brother. “I’ll want to look over it first, but then I don’t really mind.” Yume said, taking another bite of the cake. It’s not like Cater hadn’t already posted pictures of them before, so it wasn’t a huge deal. They barely went on their MagicCam for anything, except to use the messaging system. They swallowed down the tasty piece happily rocking in their chair.

“Y’know it's actually pretty nice to have some cake the day before my birthday!” They said, offhandedly.

“What!?!” Both Ace and Deuce exclaimed.

“It’s your birthday soon?” Ace asked, almost a little annoyed to only be hearing about it now. He leaned in. “You're not trying to pull a ‘Yuuta’ are you?” He sneered.

“Hey!” Yuuta said, giving him a look but couldn’t deny their past actions. At this Riddle was confused, clearly out of the loop, but before he could ask the conversation continued.

“No no, I wanna celebrate it just…maybe something small you know?” They said, fiddling with their cardigan sleeves. “I feel like it would be a lot considering Azul’s is right before mine. Two birthday’s back to back sounds exhausting, even if it's in different dorms. Yume sighed. “Ugh, why does his have to be the day before mine, couldn’t he have been born later or something.” Yu huffed in annoyance.

Trey faltered and paused as he poured Riddle some tea.

“Wait…what do you mean? Azul’s birthday was yesterday. ” Trey said, placing the teapot down.

“Huh, no no it's today, we didn’t wanna go to his dumb party that's why…” Yuuta trailed off as Trey’s face became more confused. “...It's the 24th today right…?!” Yuuta said, their confidence fading the more they spoke.

“Uh, nono “DoubleYu” today is…umm…w-well not I’m not so sure now ahaha...” Cater trailed off. “Elie, date and time.” Riddle commanded, waving a hand over at the taller Rabbit beastmen. Elie jumped, dropping the plate of cake and fork in his hand as he clumsily fumbled to get his pocket watch out.

“The date is February 25th, approximately to 11:13AM on the dot, Housewarden Sir!” Elie stated, his large ears standing up straight to match the rest of his posture when addressing his dorm leader.

“So that means…” Deuce began, a look of realization coming over his features.

“IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY!?!” Ace shouted, his voice echoing through the rose garden maze. As he did, time seemed to stop, all the Heartslabyul students' Unbirthday celebrations came to a halt at the words; they stared at their table.

“Oh naur...” Yuuhi grimaced, face palming his ears flattening against his head as he ducked in his seat. All the rest of the first year's shoulders hiked.

“GRIM, YOU LITTLE FLEA BAG, YOU TOLD ME TODAY WAS THE 24TH, I ASKED YOU THIS MORNING HOW COULD YOU GET IT WRONG!?” Yuuta growled, grabbing Grim by his scruff and lifting him off his chair stacked with pillows. “NYA! DON’T YELL AT ME, YOUR THE ONE WHO WOKE ME UP ALL EARLY ON A SATURDAY GETTING READY FOR WORK! I WAS HARDLY AWAKE, YOU CAN’T BLAME ME!?” He countered, swiping his paws at Yuuta.

“It’s your birthday today?” Riddle’s eerily calm voice cut through the chaos, a dead silence came over the garden. Out of the corner of their eye they saw Elie and Cater take a practiced step back.

Yume swallowed, a nervous grin appearing on their face.

“Um….well…yeah…seems like it…ahaha…” Yu said, an anxious giggle escaping them, though some part of them did think it was a little funny. Not that they would ever admit that outloud. Riddle took a deep breath, holding his hand in a prayer like position to his lip. Then he took another deep breath, then another. All the while his brows twitched in and out of a furrow, his face getting steadily redder. It was almost cartoonish, Yume would have laughed if they didn’t know better.

“Oh shit, now you’ve done it-! How could you forget your own birthday!?” Ace said snidely. “I don’t know-I mean- it just happened-!” They shrugged in exasperation. “Everythings just been crazy lately, AS USUAL!” Yume retorted.

Ace looked back at Riddle, his voice shifted to a charismatic calm. “Ahaha, listen Housewarden, it was just a misunderstanding, I didn’t know when I invited them hehe…” Ace said, holding his hands up in a calming gesture.

“T-that’s right, just a misunderstanding!” Deuce said, holding up his arms as if an actual explosion was about to take place. Yuuta gave Yume an uncomfortable look, a silent conversation taking place between them as they soaked up all the anxiety in the air.

“Hey, Riddle, it's okay, we'll figure this out.” Trey said, placing a hand on Riddle’s shoulder.

Riddle's eyes twitched before taking one more deep calming breath. He closed his eyes, his face losing its color and shoulders suddenly relaxing. He folded his hands in front of himself on the table calmly and smiled at Yume.

“It's alright Yume, you couldn’t have known what a big deal this is; as you do not follow the Queen of Hearts rules to the same degree that I do. It was an honest mistake.” He said calmly; a passive look of acceptance on his face.

“Oookaaay…” Yume said, somehow his calm response only freaked them out more.

“But, the rest of you DO know what a big deal this is, correct?” Riddle said with a smile, his eyes narrowing at his fellow dorm members. There were a few sheepish mutters of agreement throughout the crowd. Riddle nodded.

“Well in that case, this entire eVENT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!” Riddle yelled, his tone changing to a harsh shrill tone and his expression morphing into one of complete rage. The Heartslabyul students yelped and began scrambling; following through with the orders that Riddle was now barking at them

Yume and his brothers sat dumbfounded, watching the orderly chaos unfold.

“I WANT THE TABLES REARRANGED, YESTERDAY! CATER, IF YOU CAN’T REMOVE ALL THE BOYSENBERRIES FROM THE DISHES BY HAND; JUST THROW THEM OUT! THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AT A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!” Riddle screamed, barely stopping to take a breath as he marched around waving his scepter and giving commands.

“TREY GET THE BIRTHDAY FLAMINGO N O W!” Riddle demanded. Trey gave a practiced salute before running off towards the animal cages.

“AND WHAT IS THIS, WHAT IS THIS TABLE MADE OUT OF, OAK?!” Riddle asked, tapping his finger in irritation on the table.

“Actually I think it's Walnut.” Yuuhi sheepishly piped up, raising a hand as if he was in a classroom, Yuuta without looking at him grabbed his hand and lowered it.

“UNACCEPTABLE!” Riddle said, lifting his leg and bringing his heel down hard on the center of the table. Yume chose to believe that there was magic involved because they wouldn’t know how to deal with the fact that Riddle could break a table in half through sheer rage alone. As pieces of furniture crumpled to the ground Yume and his brothers stood up and took a step back. And Grim yelped and jumped into Yume’s arms.

“ACE, DEUCE!” Riddle called for them. And they popped up out of the crowd standing in attention. “START THROWING AWAY ALL THE WOODEN STOOLS! I WANT THIS PLACE LOOKING LIKE THE GREAT SEVEN ON ICE, IN ONE MINUTE!” He yelled, throwing one of the stools over the hedge of the Garden.

“YOU THERE-!” He said, pointing his scepter at a random student, who yelped in fear. “START PREPARING THE THRONE! WE HAVE SPAT IN THE FACE OF OUR GUEST OF HONOR BY LETTING THEM SIT ON THIS BIRCH ATROCITY.” He said, tossing another stood to the side.

“GET THE MAHOGANY THRONE FROM THE FOYER NOW, NOW PEOPLE!” He said, clapping his hands for emphasis. ”ELIE I NEED THOSE PILLOWS LOOKING PLUMPED! I MEAN FLUFFED!” He said to the rabbit beastman, who look close to a mental breakdown as he stuffed a pillow cushion full of feathers that flew everywhere.

“What the fuck is happening, I just wanted some tarts!” Grim whined, leaning into Yume’s hold. Yume gave him a little pat on the back.

“Should we just…leave?” Yuuta whispered to Yume. To which they shrugged unsure; this wasn’t how they expected brunch to go...

“Maybe we should ju- '' Before Yuuta could finish that sentence they were snatched away by Trey.

“Quick Yuuta, I need your help!” Was the only words spoken before Yuuta was yoinked into the crowd.

“Hey, wait wh-”

“And SOMEONE GET YUME PROPERLY DRESSED!!!” Riddle’s voice stopped Yume’s words in their throat.

“Huh?!?” They said looking at Riddle. They looked down at their outfit, then to Yuuhi, then back down. “Awh, oh mann, what’s wrong with my clothes?” They whined, feeling self conscious.

“We can’t! We have to start cooking their favorite food!” Someone yelled.

“UGH-! Riddle groaned, "I have to do EVERYTHING AROUND HERE!” He said, pointing his wand directly at Yume.

“RIDDLE, WAIT!” Yume yelped before a flash of magic enveloped them.

Twenty minutes later it was a much more peaceful scene. Somehow, in the short amount of time the Heartslabyul students had managed to rearrange the entire garden area from an Unbirthday party to an official Queen of Hearts Birthday celebration.

Yume now sat at the main table, in their new spiffy fresh birthday boy outfit; though their hair was a little tousled from Riddle's magic. Around the table were dishes of their favorite foods and a brand new birthday cake baked by Trey and Yuuta. All around them dorm students were finally settling down into their seats, exhausted from scrambling to fix the celebration. Next to them Riddle carefully adjusted their sash, making sure it laid correctly.

“...I…am so…fucking sorry you guys.” Yume deadpanned to their friends. Riddle looked up from his task as if to say something; but stopped short as if catching himself.

“You should be!” Ace said, dramatically slapping his hand on the table. “How could you forget your own birthday!?” He asked again, in genuine disbelief.

“It is kinda hard to believe…” Deuce agreed. Yume sighed, wanting to sink down in their chair, but opting not to so they wouldn’t mess with Riddle’s current task of fixing their outfit

“I mean- I don’t know. I guess…Well…” They looked down avoiding all the questioning eyes.

“Things have just been so…hectic lately. I guess it just slipped my mind and I got the dates mixed up. Besides; I didn’t want to make that big of a deal out of it.” They sighed again. “Guess that ship has fucking sailed.” They said, then immediately covered their mouth realizing they cursed in front of Riddle. Yume didn’t really care, but he had asked them nicely beforehand not to swear at the dorm. Riddle gave them a look.

“Worry not, the Queen’s rules state that “on one's birthday they can speak their mind freely, without criticism from anyone”. So you can curse as much as you like…today.” He explained, adding on the warning at the end as he finished adjusting their bolo tie and sat down in his seat.

“Oh…cool.” Yume said smiling, then subtly loosened the tie that was too tight.

“Still why didn’t you tell us? Between me and Ace one of us could have probably remembered…” Deuce said with a slight pout. Yume pursued their lips, sensing that they may have hurt his feelings a bit.

“ It just…it seems silly to keep reminding people, I didn’t wanna be that guy you know? There are other things we have to worry about….Plus! I thought the school made announcements or something?

“Only on school days.” Trey said.

“See!!! It snuck up on me too!” Yume said, gesturing to his words.

“Well, I kind of understand what you mean, sometimes when you're trying hard to just keep everything afloat, things like this get put on the backburner.” He said, adjusting his hat.

“Ahh! But that’s so sadface; you were just gonna have a late watered down celebration for yourself! That’s so tragic, Me-me. This kind of thing is totes important!”

“And we ended up making a big fuss of it anyway…” Deuce sighed, leaning his head in exhaustion on Yuuta’s shoulder.

“We should have kept better track of it, I knew it was coming up soon and I still…” Yuuta sighed, palming his face. Besides him Grim and Yuuhi’s ears fell on their heads.

“Geez you didn’t even think about the trouble you caused for others, keeping it to yourself… next time you could at least tell your friends.” He said a little harshly, a bit of hurt seeping through.

Each of their friends' words added another layer of guilt to their shoulders, even though they know they didn’t mean it in a genuinely mean way, it still made Yume’s chest ache.

“Ah… I’m…sorry…” They said, holding back the tears, and trying to keep their lips from wobbling. They didn’t want to cry, their friends were right and they knew all this came from a good place, but…

They swallowed hard, drooping a little in their seats.

“Enough!” Riddle's voice and hand being placed on their shoulder, started Yume out of their mini pity party. “Berating our guest of honor on their birthday is unbecoming for any student of Heartslabyul, I won’t tolerate it any more.” He said firmly, giving Yume a little pat on the shoulder.

“Also-” Riddle’s eyes narrowed. “Rule: #503: Any one who makes someone frown on their birthday must do a handstand while singing the alphabet backwards, until they laugh! So-” He pointed his scepter boldly across the table.

“Ace.”

Ace’s shoulder hiked as he squealed in indignance, around him everyone took a step away from him.

“-start singing!” Riddle demanded.

“WHAT?! Wh- why me- oh my I can’t even-!” He tried to stutter out an excuse, but the glare he received stopped him in his tracks.

“UGGHHH-! I can’t believe this bullsh…” He muttered to himself before beginning his first attempts at a handstand. Riddle cleared this throat, turning back to address Yume.

“Even so, I agree. We could have prepared a much better celebration had we known in advance… but regardless we can’t change what we did in the past, all we can do now is do better from here on. Isn’t that right?” He said.

Yume smiled, recognizing the meaningful echo of something Yume and his brothers had told Riddle before.

“Right!” They nodded, and saw their friends and brothers grin in agreement.

“Good!” Riddle smiled and nodded back. “Happy birthday Yume!...Now let me take this time to recite the customary birthday poem!” He said, pulling out a fully typed page of custom stationary from seemingly nowhere.

“The, WHAT!?” Yume laughed, in disbelief at the absurdity of their friends' actions.

“Ah, that laugh counts right-?” Ace’s exasperated voice, could barely be heard the above rest of the birthday merriment in the Heartlabyul gardens.

“Uhmm Riddle…are you sure the animals are okay?” Yume asked, watching the strange croquet game being played from their throne seat next to Riddle’s. Apparently it was some tradition, the birthday guest always sat at the side of the “Queen” during the first half of the croquet game before joining in the second half.

“I assure you it's fine. It's standard to play with flamingos and hedgehogs. Though I did see someone try with a crane once when I was younger…” He recalled curiously, holding a finger to his chin.

“In some parts of the Queendom of Rose’s, flamingos are bred specifically for the game.” He went on. “Actually, it's less about the skill of the player and more so on the relationship you have with your animals.” He explained, as they watched Yuuta jut his butt out at a funny angle to line up his shot. They swung hard, but at the last second his flamingo raised its head, making him completely whiff his shot; earning a big laugh from Ace and Grim at their expense.

“Okayyy, if you say so…!” Yume grinned, holding in a laugh at the absurdity of it all. The two of them watched in comfortable silence for a little longer before Riddle broke it.

“...Yume…?” He asked, quietly, pulling their attention away from the clownish spectacle.

“Hm?”

“...How did you forget your own birthday? I mean, as scatterbrained as you can be at times-”

“Gee thanks.” They deadpanned.

“-You’re not the type to forget important dates. ” He said seriously, ignoring their snark. Yume let out a breath through their nose.

“I mean…I didn’t really…forget I just… got them mixed up...” Yume muttered, offhandedly fidgeting with their birthday boy ribbon.

“In this case it's still one in the same, you would have missed your birthday if you hadn’t been reminded, it's almost like-” Riddle paused, and his eyes widened as if he just realized something.

“...You didn’t forget an important date…because this isn’t an important date to you… is it?” He asked carefully.

Yume turned away, avoiding his eyes, giving a non committal shrug. At this Riddle frowned.

“Yume-” Before he could start Yume sighed and interrupted him.

“That’s not it Riddle it's not that- it's not that it's not important it's just that-well…''The fumbled to find the right way to say it. “...Everything else is MORE important…y’know?” Yume gestured to him as if what they were saying was common knowledge.

Riddle did not seem to agree given the way he crossed his arms.

“Explain.” He demanded. Yume sighed again, rolling their eyes a bit.

“I mean, after everything we’ve been through.” They began listing things off on their fingers. “Getting dragged to his world, losing our memories, finding out magic is real, becoming students, the overblots, winter break and the whole gas leak.” They listed off things off the top of their head, though they knew there was much more.

“It just…I don’t know, it seems like a waste of time to celebrate something as trivial as my birthday, I mean this is nice and all ,but I could be spending this time doing something ACTUALLY important! Like trying to find a way to get my brothers home!” They said, gripping the front of their pants in a balled fist.

“The headmage is responsible for that.” Riddle said, matter of factly.

“And I’m just supposed to take his word for it?!” They raised their voice, getting a little heated.

Riddle leaned back, not expecting to be suddenly yelled at.

Yume pursed their lips, not meaning to snap at their friend like that. They peeked over, seeing that the others didn’t notice their outburst.

“I just…” They began in a much quieter tone. “Ever since I got here…it feels like…time is running out Riddle.”

“...Here?” He questioned giving them a confused look.

“Here, Twisted Wonderland or Night Raven college or maybe…this world? I-I don’t know I…” Yume struggled to put it into words. They paused, closing their eyes and collecting their thoughts.

“Sometimes…” Yume bit their lip, taking a breath before continuing “...Sometimes, I think, the only time worth spending, is spent helping others…and that I’m just wasting it being self indulgent…doing things that won’t really matter in the long run…” They murmured, slipping a hand in their jacket pocket to touch the charm attached to their phone...

At the words Riddle’s whole demeanor changed, a look of familiarity shone in his eyes. He adjusted himself in his seat, needlessly fixing his already perfect uniform before folding his hands in his lap. His brows furrow uncomfortably and he took a moment before speaking.

“I used to think similarly…” He whispered, as if admitting a secret. Yume turned to look at him in surprise, silently urging him to continue

“I used to think that time was a thief; a very sneaky one…At first I didn’t even realize it, how all day and everyday it stole my life away, as I worked and worked; preparing for a future that was already planned out down to the second; tick by tick taking everything I cared about from right under my nose…” Riddle said as he stared off into the distance; as if seeing something Yume couldn’t.

“Then I met Trey and Chen’ya and-” He stopped, seeming to get a little choked up at the nostalgia and memories.He flinched slightly when Yume placed a gentle hand on his wrist for comfort. He gave them a grateful look and took a moment to collect himself. “They made me realize…that everyday is a gift, every minute and every second.” He said resolutely then looking at Yume.

Yume tilted their head, waiting curiously as he reached into his uniform pocket.

Yume looked down to see a pocket watch. The bronze material made it a comfortable weight in their hand. It looked antique, but well taken care of. The metal didn’t have a scratch on it and shined beautifully in the natural garden light. The centerpiece, however, was the elaborate rose design; etched into the bezel. Simple but elegant filigree surrounded the design, a few spaces artistically hollowed so you could see through to the clock.

Yume tilted the watch in their hand, taking in every detail and enjoying the feel of the smooth chain as it glided across their palm.

“Oh, it's so pretty…!” They smiled, cradling the gift gently. Riddle nodded, agreeing with them.

“This is the stopwatch my mother gave me, to keep track of my lessons, my meals…everything, that is when she didn’t do it herself…” He said sentimentally. Yume gasped, their brows pinching up.

Yume swallowed, realizing that this gift was more important than they previously thought.

“Riddle…” They gave him a worried look, and this time fully grabbed their friend's hand. They weren’t sure if it was for their own comfort or his. Riddle gave them a strained smile, trying to put on a brave face it seemed.

“I got the glass fixed afterwards, but I couldn’t bring myself to get the mechanism fixed.” He sighed. “After years of hearing its incessant tick tock.” Riddle huffed, before ever so slightly slouching in his throne. For just a second, he looked like any fed up normal teenager.

“I kept it, all this time, as a reminder of sorts…and now I’m giving it to you.” He said, sitting up in his chair and facing them, an adamant look burning in his eyes.

“Spend your time here wisely…don’t look back and regret it…okay?” He said, giving their hand a squeeze. It almost seemed like he was pleading with Yume. Sincerely advising his friend on a mistake he had long already made.

Yume suddenly felt choked up, the turbulent events of the past few months with their friends and loved ones replaying rapidly in their head. All the emotions bubbling up at once. Their lips wobbled, there was so much left to do and so much more to experience. They couldn’t do it all, they couldn’t. They didn’t have the time. So then…! “How do I know?!” They asked, desperate for answers. “How do I know what I should do….?” They trailed off, suddenly very fearful of regrets yet to come. He reached up, trying to wipe a stray tear that fell. But Riddle beat them to it, dabbing it away with his handkerchief.

“You��ll know…” He said simply, putting the handkerchief back in his pocket. “In fact…I think you already do…” Riddle said confidently.

“Hm?” Yume made an unsure noise.

“Right now, more than anything, what do you want?” He asked.

Yume took a second to clear their thoughts. What they wanted…? Well, They…wanted to stop crying, it was embarrassing. They wanted to appreciate all their friends' hard work at throwing a birthday party for them. They wanted to have fun and open presents and eat cake and take pictures. So that they wouldn’t forget, so that in the future they could be happy... But couldn’t they have that now…

Yume grinned, tucking the watch carefully into their pocket before standing to their feet as well.

“Right!” They cheered, suddenly feeling energized.

Riddle and Yume looked over to see him waving for their attention.

“The first half's over! Time for the birthday boy to play!” He said, giving a wink and peace sign.

Yume laughed carefreely, feeling the full mirth of the party for the first time.

“Alright! Get ready because I’m going to win!” Yume grinned, jumping in place, before bounding over to their friends. Riddle following close behind.

“Riddle, is this super necessary…?” Yuuta started to ask, as they watched Riddle hold a pretty impressive handstand as he expertly recited the alphabet backwards!

Hey everyone, this post might be a bit long, as I’m just wanting to get my thoughts out on stuff. Feel free to ignore it and skip. I might ramble a bit, so I apologize in advance! But first, an Aymeric dote for a much needed serotonin shot! 😘

I wanted to thank everyone who sent well wishes for my son! He just has the common cold, but since he’s special needs, it is really hard on him, and he usually has meltdowns whenever he gets sick. Needless to say, I’m exhausted. I’m exhausted to the point that I had an asthma attack earlier and I’m just now getting to relax. But don’t worry, I’ll be alright.

Along with my son being sick, it’s been hectic with IRL stuff as well. Not getting into too much extraneous detail, as it’s not important to the main point, but it’s been hard just finding the time to get gposes or any writing done with everything I have to do IRL.

Because it’s been so difficult getting anything accomplished that I already have on my WIP List, I know that I just don’t have the time or the energy to do Lalapril, or any other event for a while. I’m hoping to do Wolmeric Week though, which is the first week of May. I think that will give me the time I need to plan ahead what I want to do for it, and since it’s only a week, I think it’s pretty manageable next to a whole month for Lalapril. It will also be something of a present to myself, as my birthday is at the end of April after all.

What I can do, however, is support my fellow lala peeps out there, and cheer you all on if you are planning on doing Lalapril, or if anyone else is doing one of the other April events (Why there’s a million events just in April I have no idea…)

This next point might not be much of a surprise, as this has been kind of a thing for a few months already, but I’ve decided to put my first WoL OC Yume on hiatus for a while. I’m NOT getting rid of her, and I’m still insanely proud of the years of work I’ve put into her story and development. However, I haven’t had inspiration for her for a while now, and it is bothering me that she’s still prominent on my pinned post when all of my inspiration has been for Hali ever since I created her.

I know this might be a disappointment for those of you who have followed me for years and/or those who followed me for Yume or Yume x G’raha. But I need to do what makes me happy, and Hali makes me so happy that I want to pour my limited energy reserves into her. If this makes me lose some followers, then so be it. It can’t be helped.

But what I will do is I will make a Masterlist of all of the important Yume info, basically everything that is on my pinned post right now, and put in on a separate post. Then I’ll link that Yume Masterlist onto my pinned post instead, so that Yume’s info is still easily accessible to everyone who is curious to read it, but it’s not as misleading as it is now.

I think the last thing on my mind is the live letter, and that I’m super excited for the end of Pandaemonium, but I’m still iffy on the MSQ, as I just haven’t been that invested in it since 6.1. I am hoping that this all ties into 7.0 somehow, because right now, it is feeling like the filler arc in an anime, and I’m just ehhhhh. I don’t know if that’s part of my problem with my lack of inspiration for Yume, but it might be. I’m not sure anymore.

Anyways, if you’ve actually read all this, I thank you dearly for putting up with my rambling. I hope you all enjoy your weekend! Love ya! 💖

A thin film (curtain) rose. The band members entered. Oji-san wore a black hat and in his ‘black pace’, dressed in a classic outfit.

LIP×LIP entered, in their Romeo costume.

From the left (of the stage): Nakanishi-san, Kobayashi-san, Reonnu, Aizou, Yuujirou, Keiki-san, Oji-san. Overhead is a horizontal screen.

The songs started right away.

*Nonfantasy

In the screen are images of gorgeous flowers. Right before ‘suki da yo’, (image of) small petals were falling. At Yuujirou’s ‘kimi senyou da yo’, he made a space reserved only for you with his arms. With the dark lighting, the whole venue quieted down; and after a while, the two, preparing for something, said in a clear voice, “suki da yo.”

*Yappa Saikyou

The swaying is impressive. At “Hyakumankai no kisu” Aizou points at his cheeks. In both no. 1 and 2, before the chorus, Yuujirou’s facial expression can’t be seen and it brought more feeling of painfulness in the production. At “Honmei dakara” Aizou draws a big heart (in the air). At no.2, Yuujirou poses as if asleep.

A picture of a moon. At the chorus, the moon is red and rising; it was mysterious. At the beginning and end, both looked up at the moon and danced.

Aizou is cool, widening his legs diagonally.

Yuujirou crossed his legs; silent dance steps at the beginning, and gentlemanly from “soto no sekai watashi kara” part. The chorus has great choreography and livened up (the crowd).

Yuujirou, from the start to the end, did not make a mistake at all. He is honestly magnificent. Aizou in his part “Nayanderu no? Ojou-san” is even more gentlemanly than before. It gradually softened later on. Seemingly like the East Country, a huge feeling of exhilaration overflows in the choreography. At “eran de”, the pose is very-like Aizou and Yuujirou. They jumped the whole time and both of them looked like they enjoyed it more than anyone else.

What is your favorite AU/prompt idea/trope for your pairing? ALL MISUKAZU AUS ARE GOOD but. i really love any au where their first meeting is in the future and both are still kind of lost but they're Older and it's hard to let themselves fall into the easy trust they find in canon. i just think that'd be neat.

Least favorite aspect of them/their relationship dynamics? (Can be headcannon) this isn't a "least fav" so much as "it makes me sad" but if either of them showed any sign of not being interested anymore the other is more likely to give up then push anything. sort of like "it was bound to happen, so i'll enjoy now until they drop me" or EVEN WORSE they think the other would be better off without them and pushes them away. so yeah the fact i can see one of these happening makes me sad.

If they aren’t a canon pairing, how would you get them together? they give off "everyone knows we're dating but us" energy but at the same time i feel like they'd acknowledge there's something and just not define it bc a) they don't need to (misumi) or b) they're too nervous to (kazu). in other words i think one day they are holding hands and misumi says "kazu? is this dating?" and kazu holds his breath before asking "do you want it to be?"

Which character of your pairing would be the one to break up with the other? Why? OOOOOH BOY well. i think it could be either of them. i don't think they'd break up for lack of love but too much love and wanting the other to be happy and thinking that the only way to give them that is to let them go. so i guess the question is which of them would be more likely to be selfish and hold on. thinking this way, i think misumi would be more likely to break-up, bc kazu has lots of friends who are better than him!! and misumi is more ready to leave if he thinks he needs to than kazu is. now im sad.

Are they relatable as characters or as a pairing? THE NUMBER OF TIMES I'VE BEEN CALLED KAZU KIN... in all seriousness kazu's struggles with speaking out and (shinobi spoilers) his uncertainty over his future hit real close to home... while i don't relate as much as misumi, his struggles always manage to tear my heart into pieces... ((oversharing alert) i guess what really separates me from misumi is his struggle with his desire to connect with family who has treated him poorly... whereas im more "lol fuck you") tldr i relate to kazu slightly more LOL

Did you once/ever dislike one/both of them? i never disliked them but i was NOT expecting either of them to shoot up so quickly into my favs list ahdjahdjf. also i started shipping them Immediately After reading summer main story so there's that

On an estimate, how many posts have you made about them? as of september 28th 2020 i make up 11/78 fics on ao3 in the romantic misukazu tag and 2/12 in the platonic one. i may have brainrot.

What made you decide to ship them? TBH I FINISHED THE MAIN STORY AND WENT "OH MY GOD... THAT'S MY SHIP" but now that i'm here i continue to ship them because they have the potential to bring out both the best and the worst in each other and i'm all about that

Favorite genre for them? (Angst, fluff, etc.) angst. i just. angst hurt/comfort all the way. im so sorry babies.

lol you thought there would just be 21 ANYWAY EXTRA 1: how do they spend breaks/vacation? they'd travel a lot when they're older!! kazunari loves to travel and misumi would follow kazunari anywhere (also, new triangles!!) so they go somewhere new whenever they have the time. however i think eventually one or both of their future careers will take them anywhere and everywhere anyway, so their "ideal vacation" might turn into an evening in, cuddling and catching up (as if they didn't already send play-by-play updates over the phone of whatever they did during the day)

EXTRA 2: first date? i don't they ever have an explicit first date, but if asked they'll cite the time they had a picnic in the park turned triangle hunt turned accidental dip in the duck pond. at least, kazunari will. misumi just tilts his head and wonders what you mean.

EXTRA 3: gifts? IM FEELING REALLY CHEESY SO I'M MAKING THIS ABOUT ANNIVERSARY GIFTS they both end up getting each other jewelry (although kazu was really really nervous bc he wasn't sure if misumi would wear it). kazu gets misumi a bracelet (with triangles, of course although misumi only wears it sometimes because he doesn't want to lose it) and misumi gets kazu a pair of triangle earrings "so we can match!" and kazunari combusts at the implications

EXTRA 4: sharing clothes THEY'RE ACTUALLY AROUND THE SAME SIZE (and tend to wear baggier stuff barring kazu's skinny jeans)... but they have completely different Styles so it's still really obvious when steal each other's stuff ahdjajdkaf. as cute as kazu would look in sumi's sweatshirt i think the much more likely scenario is kazu wrapping misumi in his jackets because this boy nEVER BRINGS HIS ANYWHERE anyway just. accidental shared wardrobe misukazu.

EXTRA 5: lake house au consider: kazunari living in a house on the shore of a lake for a summer for Art Purposes (and a little bit for Dealing With Life purposes but he's not gonna admit that) and meets his lake neighbor misumi who kazu thinks might be a ghost or spirit for a while but he actually just lives further down the lake and misumi unknowingly helps kazu with his Life Issues and maybe they fall in love

Sagiri Seina (Snow Troupe) with Hanataba Yume, Ruri Hanaka, Haon Mika, Yumeshiro Aya, Ayaji Yurika

Sagiri: So, first, why don’t all of you tell me where you’re from and your nicknames, as well as the reason you wanted to join Takarazuka.

Hanataba: I’m Hanataba Yume. I’m from the Nerima Ward of Tokyo. My nickname is Keika.

Sagiri: Everyone in Snow Troupe has been calling you ‘Bouquet-chan’, though (laughs). And why did you want to join Takarazuka?

Hanataba: The first Takarazuka show I saw was Prelude of Love, and the theme song left such a deep impression on me, and then the revue was all so pink and I thought it was such a beautiful production that I made Takarazuka my goal.

Sagiri: I wonder if it’s alright to ask your blood type, too? (laughs)

Hanataba: Yes! I’m B-type.

Sagiri: You’re definitely a B-type sort of person...not that I have much to go on (laughs). You and I have the same birthday, right, Bouquet-chan. Okay, next person.

Ruri: I’m Ruri Hanaka. I’m from Kyoto city, Kyoto prefecture. My nickname is China. The first Takarazuka show I saw was Kozuki Wataru-san’s Rose of Versailles*, but the strongest memory I have of that is that I was really scared of the gunfire sound effects. After that, I saw Russian Blue…

Sagiri: Oh, I was in that.

Ruri: …’s poster…

Sagiri: Ah, the poster. I wasn’t on the poster (laughs).

Ruri: I saw it at the train station and I was really interested, so I went to see the show and during the middle of it I thought in my heart ‘I’ve got to get in here!’

Sagiri: China looks like an A-type, but you’re an O-type!

Ruri: I’m an A-type.

Sagiri: Hm? I messed up (laughs). Alright, next.

Haon: I’m Haon Mika. My hometown is Osaka city, Osaka prefecture. My nickname is Mii. One of the older students at the ballet studio I was studying at since I was really little debuted with NOVA BOSSA NOVA/A Second Fortuitous Meeting, so I went to see it, which was my first time seeing Takarazuka. I was struck by the totally different type of dance from ballet, and I thought it was so energetic and amazing, so I decided to take the entrance exam.

Sagiri: (looking through Otome**) ‘Good organizational skills’...in that case, Mii must be an A-type!

Haon: Yes.

Sagiri: Oh! I got it! Next person, go ahead.

Yumeshiro: I’m Yumeshiro Aya. I’m from Tokyo City’s Suginami Ward. My nickname is Mottii. I took ballet since I was little, and I liked musicals theatre music, but I never saw Takarazuka. After entering highschool, I thought I wanted to try something different from ballet so I started studying vocal music, and my mother saw the curriculum offered at the Takarazuka Music School and recommended it to me.

Sagiri: You entered without knowing anything, so all the other things besides the curriculum must have been quite a shock, right? (laughs)

Yumeshiro: I had fun, though.

Sagiri: Your blood type is...it says you’re good at making accessories, so you must be A-type!

Yumeshiro: I’m O-type.

Sagiri: Oh? (laughs) Alright, next is our only boy.

Ayaji: I’m Ayaji Yurika. I’m from Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture. My nickname is Miwa. My first time seeing Takarazuka was also Kozuki-san’s Rose of Versailles, and after that I would always wear white ruffled blouses at home, and I had my parents buy me white boots, and I would pretend I was Oscar all the time. Once I shouted ‘Captain Oscar!’ in my sleep and woke myself up.

Sagiri: In your dream you must have been a member of the Gardes Francaises (laughs). I’m happy to see in Otome that the role you would like to play is Okita Souji in Man of Starlight, since I’ve played that role too.

Ayaji: I was lucky enough to be able to see Sagiri-san’s performance.

Sagiri: Oh, is that why? Ah, sorry about that (laughs). Miwa-chan’s blood type is...and don’t betray my expectations this time...A-type!

Ayaji: I’m a B-type.

Sagiri: Oh my gosh… (laughs). Alright, next I’d like to ask how you feel about your debut.

Hanataba: I’ve always been a big fan of Sagiri-san and Sakihi-san, so ever since I heard that our debut performance would be with Snow Troupe, every day has been so happy for me. It feels like a dream that I’m able to stand on the same stage with you. Every day has been full of happiness as well as gratitude for all the applause we receive from the audience.

Sagiri: That is great that you had that connection with us at the very end.

Ruri: On the first day, doing the address and the line dance was so fun, and it made me so happy, and I felt even more strongly how much I love Takarazuka.

Sagiri: And right now, what part do you think is the most fun?

Ruri: When we do the final pose, and the audience applauds so warmly.

Haon: When I was going through the entrance exam process, I saw the debut performance of that time over and over, and every time I thought ‘I would be so amazingly happy to be able to stand on that stage’ and was really moved. Right now every day I’m so happy that it all feels like a dream.

Yumeshiro: When the curtain opened the first day, I was surprised at how warm the whole atmosphere was. I’m also very happy to be able to learn so much while we’re together with the senior actresses of Snow Troupe.

Ayaji: I’m so happy that I’m able to perform with all the amazing senior actresses I admire so much and as my beloved classmates, as well as having so many people supporting our performance backstage, and so many audience members coming to see us. I’m working hard to be able to treasure this time forever.

Sagiri: I’m so happy you all have such passionate feelings. What kind of performer do you all want to be in the future? Actually, at the start I didn’t really have that kind of goal. I just liked Takarazuka and being an otokoyaku… Still, I think I’d like to ask you anyway.

Hanataba: I want to put all my energy into the things that need it, and keep learning without forgetting the aesthetic of the Takarazuka musumeyaku.

Ruri: I want to be hot-blooded and cool-headed...and I always want to be ‘clear’.

Sagiri: ‘Be clear’?

Ruri: I want to be true to myself without feeling like I have to explain myself to anyone.

Sagiri: Ah! What a stable person.

Haon: I want to be a performer who takes on everything directly and expresses everything clearly.

Yumeshiro: I want to be a musumeyaku who can perform in all different genres of dancing, singing, and acting.

Ayaji: I want to always challenge my own weak points, and someday I want to be an otokoyaku who is cool but still has a natural atmosphere.

Sagiri: What is it that all of you most like about the performing arts?

Hanataba: I like dance, so I’m longing to perform in numbers like the one Choreographer Bryant*** created for this show.

Sagiri: Ah, Yuumi-chan’s (Sakihi’s) chair dance scene!

Ruri: I like acting the best.

Sagiri: In Otome it says that a role you would like to play is Fuku from I Won’t Forget the Young Day’s Song, I see.

Haon: I also like dance the best, and I would love to be in a dance scene where all the musumeyaku are wearing simple dresses.

Sagiri: You’re so slender, that would look great on you!

Yumeshiro: I especially like expressing myself through singing.

Sagiri: What is your favorite genre of song?

Yumeshiro: I like songs like ‘Hymne a l’Amour’ where you can express many different emotions in the same piece.

Ayaji: My favorite is acting, but they say it takes 10 years to become a good otokoyaku…

Sagiri: Right, since there’s ‘ten years to otokoyaku’. Alright, I’m sure you all have questions as well?

Hanataba: What do you think are the good aspects or traditions of Snow Troupe right now, and what are you trying to focus on since your retirement is approaching?

Sagiri: I think one of the good things is that everyone cares for each other, and tries to look out for each other without being restricted by the vertical hierarchy. Everyone’s attitude of trying to teach one another is I think one of the good points or traditions of the current Snow Troupe. Something I feel is important right now is that, since this is a show that’s supposed to make the audience happy, to make sure I’m conscious of the people who have come to see the show during my performance. That way, I feel like I’m getting something back from the audience and that becomes energy for me.

Ruri: When you get advice from someone, but it is a bit different from your own thinking, what do you do?

Sagiri: You ask really deep questions (laughs). Of course if someone tells you something that’s different from what you’d been thinking, it would be startling and disturb you a bit, but I think it’s important to try to accept those kind of things. It can guide you to the right answer and help you grow, I think.

Haon: What are you thinking when you come down the Grand Stairs in the parade for each performance?

Sagiri: I seem to always feel how happy it makes me to be on stage, and how happy it is that I made a convincing performance, and how happy it is to make the audience so happy and that they applaud for me…

Yumeshiro: When you perform the same role for a long time, do you find your approach to the character changes?

Sagiri: In my case, when I was in shinjin kouens, everything was leading up to one single performance so I would decide everything in my performance carefully. But at some point, I got tired of being like that so I stopped planning things out so strictly, and then things became really fun. My horizons widened out and I was able to observe so much… So now, in rehearsals, I try to get to the roots of my character through trial and error, and once I’m onstage I let myself go with how I feel that day and the atmosphere of the show. That way it naturally ends up a bit different every time.

Ayaji: What were your goals when you were a junior actress, and after graduating from shinjin kouens, and then when you became Top Star?

Sagiri: When I was a junior actress in Cosmos Troupe, I was surrounded by so many really big otokoyaku, and since I was small I longed to be a large-scale otokoyaku like that a lot. I got a lot of ‘cute younger friend’ sort of roles, which was totally different from what I wanted to be, so my goal was to become seen as a man in my own right as soon as possible. But after I graduated from shinjin kouens, I went totally the opposite way from that issue, and became determined to achieve my own individuality. When I was considering how I could be the sort of otokoyaku that was unique to me, I began feeling more strongly that I wanted to perform as the characters rather than just as an otokoyaku, so I think at that point my goal became to try playing all kinds of characters, without limiting the kinds of roles I would play at all. And then when I became Top Star, I began thinking of Snow Troupe and the show as most important, rather than myself. I started thinking always of how I could make people love Snow Troupe more, and what I should do about that. Are you done with the questions?

All ken-1s: Yes!

Sagiri: Takarazuka is made of all the feelings the students have towards Takarazuka itself, and towards the stage arts…talking with you 5 today has really made me think of how Takarazuka is built on those pure emotions, so I think if all of you keep treasuring your pure feelings, I think you might...no, you’ll definitely become wonderful performers! Therefore, I want you to keep marching onward. Even once I’ve retired, I’ll still be watching over you from far away, so do your best!

Rating: General audience until part two where we could argue if it escalates to teen and up.

Summary: A year has passed since the 3rd years graduated and went their separate ways. Kanan has doubts about their friendship.

A/N: First of all happy birthday Kanan! Secondly, I'm sorry this is so poorly phrased it's been a while since I last wrote anything or read anything. Also, this was extremely rushed so hopefully it makes some sense... so yeah enjoy. This was posted on AO3 6 days ago so exactly in time for Kanan’s birthday only I forgot to post it here ahaha :)

“Kanan, could you please take my shift tomorrow? I have finals on Monday so I really wanted to do some studying…” said the amethyst colored eyed girl co-worker with an apologizing voice.

“Sure, I got’cha!”

Sure Kanan’s birthday was tomorrow but ever since she graduated from high school and left to get her diving license in Australia, she didn’t get to talk with the rest of Aqours as much as she would have like. Additionally, no one knew it was her birthday so she hadn't any plans.

With that in mind, both girls finished cleaning the shop and waved their goodbyes.

The diver’s apartment wasn’t particularly big, well it was small, but big enough to fit one person. Especially when that person only went there to change clothes and get some sleep. It had a single bedroom with a connected bathroom, the only separation between the kitchen and the living room/dining room was an island.

Kanan put her keys on said island and took a shower. She put on a black tank top and a pair of shorts. She took an apple from her kitchen and laid down on her bed, and took her phone. It wasn’t unusual for her to look at the photo album she named “Aqours”, she had some photos of their lives, practices, sleepovers, that time they went to Tokyo, Hakodate, even some with Saint Snow. Kanan smiled slightly. She missed her friends, last time they were all together was when the then 3rd years graduated. The navy blue haired girl closed her eyes. When Mari, Dia, and herself first left Uchiura they would all 9 of them try to video call as much as possible, but of course life moves on and soon what had been 2 or 3 calls per week soon became 1 once a week and now with the second years graduating soon a call once every 2-3 weeks. They still sent a bunch of messages but being 2 hours ahead of Tokyo’s time either there was no one to talk with, or she had to start work soon. As for the 3rd years group chat, with all of them in different time zones, it was hard to keep a full conversation. Even though they met only about a month ago in Tokyo to celebrate Dia’s birthday Kanan felt as if it had been years since they talked, years since she hugged them. A single tear came out of amethyst eyes and the diver quickly cleaned it. Don’t. In only a few hours is your birthday and the girls probably want to video call you. You can’t let them see you like this, specially Dia or Mari. Don’t cry; for them. As soon as those thoughts were out of her mind she stared at the ceiling. Maybe they’ll come visit, Mari and I went to Tokyo for Dia’s birthday maybe they’ll come too. Just maybe… And soon she was asleep.

“....Shall we dance?, Yume no you ni odorimashou, Hitoyo no wasurerarenai shinderera, Kutsu wo nuide okeba nakusanai yo karuku hayaku, Dare o yobou ka? Moriagaru ne!...�� G Senjou no Cinderella came through her phone’s speakers, time to wake up and get ready for work. Kanan rubbed her eyes and sat at the edge of the mattress. “...Shall we dance?, Kurukuru to mawarimashou…” the music kept going, not because Kanan didn’t know how to turn her alarm off but because she liked it. It was only Mari, Dia, and herself singing the song, the first song they sang only the three of them after forming Aqours. Once the song reached its end Kanan took her phone and saw quite a few messages on her phone screen, some were from the Aqours’ group chat.

Riko: Wait, how come no one said anything while you two were arguing?

Mari: Well my dear Rikochi it’s simple

Mari: Dia threatened everyone to only say their birthday message

Mari: Since it’s like 2 am for Kanan and she didn’t want us to wake her up

Dia: Yes I did, and I would appreciate if you also kept that and stop messaging her.

Mari: Boring…

Mari: But fine, we’ll call her later

Mari: Anyways let’s do it one last time

All users typed: Kanan-chan! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

A sob escaped Kanan’s lips as she tipped a big “Thanks everyone, I can’t wait to go back!”, she wanted to thank each one of them individually but she wanted to call Dia and Mari. And so she did. Even though it was weekend Dia would wake up at 6:30 as usual and Mari would go to sleep around 11, so they should both be awake at that time. Mari was the first one to answer.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY KANAN!” the blonde girl shouted at the top of her lungs. Kanan didn’t even have time to answer as Dia joined the call, “Kanan-san happy birthday” although Dia tried to say it as calm as possible she was smiling and the last syllables had a cheerful tone.

“Thanks!” And Kanan smiled wide open.

“So what can we do for our birthday girl on this marvelous day?”

Kanan’s face started to heat up, how could she ask them if they were planning to visit her today? Maybe they were too busy and couldn’t, she didn’t want to make her two best friends feel guilty. No no no. They were coming and if not they’d eventually see each other, there’s nothing to worry about right?

“W-well, I...umm…”

“Come on Kanan you can tell us anything.” Encouraged her tallest friend.

“Kanan-s...Kanan is something wrong?” Asked the brunette.

“No it’s nothing, ahaha...I just wanted to talk with you but I need to get going or I’ll be late for work and you wouldn’t want me to be late right Dia? Ahaha so umm yeah talk with you later alright? Okay bye!”

“Wait Kana-”

Too late Kanan had already pressed the end call button. What are you doing? You’re acting as if you were 15 again, haven’t you learned anything? She asked herself. I guess I haven’t. Not wanting to think about it anymore Kanan finished getting ready and went to work.

Kanan had never been an observer, or attentive, especially for small details. That’s why she never realized that both Dia and Mari were wearing earphones, or that Mari wasn’t wearing a pajama and Dia wasn’t wearing her kimono. Or the fact that both seemed to be inside and not outside.

Sunday February 10th, a rather slow day at the shop. Well since it was Sunday the shift wasn’t that long so around 3:30 the navy blue haired girl start doing the pre-close up. She started taking the oxygen tanks inside, moved to make the inventory and by 3:55 she was almost done. She went back to the counter and start writing everything on the computer. The entrance bell rang.

“Welcome, we’ll be closing in 5 minutes if you want to take a diving les-”

“Well I don’t know, what you say Dia should we take a lesson?”

“Hmm with how thigh our schedule is I don’t think we’ll have time, but maybe we can work something out.”

Mari. Dia. Mari and Dia. Both of them. In front of her. Okay that was it Kanan had gone completely insane.

“Well don’t stand there give us a hug”, Mari demanded as both herself and Dia opened her arms waiting to be completed. Kanan didn’t think about it she ran straight to her friends and gave them the hug she had so long waited for. Tears making their way through her face.

“B-b-but how?”

“It’s your birthday you dummy.”

“We wouldn’t have missed it for anything.” Said Dia. “Mari traveled from Italy to Tokyo 3 days ago, we took a plane last night-”

“But you sent the messages at 12 am, h-how come?”

“Aqours of course!” Replied Mari. Kanan, who had calmed a bit took a step back to look at these beautiful girls who for a reason she still didn’t fully understand were her friends. Dia and Mari took each other’s hands and then Kanan’s.

“Well”, continued Mari, “we asked them to help us cover up our plan so everything was staged.”

“To say it in a way.” Added Dia.

“So Kanan,” they said in unison. ��Happy birthday!”

Kanan was still processing everything that was going on but she could do that tomorrow, right now she only cared of being with Dia and Mari, she hugged them again and kept crying.

“Now now, we don’t want to make the birthday girl happy, shall we Mari-san?”

“Of course!”

And Kanan got a kiss on each cheek from her two friends. Before she could react both brunette and blonde haired girls were dragging her out of the store.

A/N: this is not that relevant to the story and the rating could go (depends on how you look at it) up to teens.

They arrived at Kanan’s apartment and as soon as Kanan unlocked the door Mari was entering and laying on the couch.

“Please have some manners,” said Dia with a small sigh and Kanan couldn’t help but laugh at both of them. 100 years could go by and the three of them would still act the same way they did when they were kids.

Kanan took their suitcases to her room and left them there. She couldn’t make it outside the bedroom since Mari had jumped over her and pushed them both to the bed.

“Wha-Mari? G-get off.”

“No” Although both of them tried to sound serious they couldn’t keep the facade and gave up to laughter.

“D-Dia,” started Kanan in between laughers “come quick! Mari won’t get off me!”

The girl with emerald eyes entered the room but instead of helping Kanan she threw herself onto the bed and was on top of Mari and Kanan.

“O-okay I-I give up!” finally stated Kanan and Dia got off of her. Mari on the other hand just stared at Kanan’s face. She took her chin and lightly kissed her. “Happy birthday Kanan.” Whispered Mari and got off of her. Dia not wanting to be left behind approached Kanan from the side and press slightly her lips to Kanan’s. “Yeah happy birthday Kanan.”

Mari and Dia looked at each other and then at the girl under them. They still had some days before going back to Italy and Japan and they didn’t want to waste any of them.

Yume: Will do anything for the magical talking frog, and will take up its quest almost immediately

Chase: Ignores the frog completely, doesn’t even notice that it’s talking

Lavender: Gets grossed out by the frog as frogs are slimy and ugly in her opinion, but will probably do the quest anyway

Minami: IS VERY EXCITED AS SHE LOVES MAGICAL CREATURES and is super happy to meet one in real life! She’ll definitely do her best to do the quest

Alexis: Wonders how the frog got into her room in the first place. Once she realised that it’s talking she’ll probably put it outside and leave it there

“Short, eccentric, reliable. Now, what did Yume say about me?”

Lavender 💐 :

“Best friend? I hate choosing a best friend! They’re all good for different reasons! But… I suppose I’ll say talented, stylish and funny!”

Your OC decides they can dye their own hair, with their very little knowledge about hair, how does this go? Do they have their friends with them, supporting them? Do they do it when they are alone? Do they do it before a big and upcoming event?

Yume: It goes surprisingly well, considering how reckless he is with everything else in his life. He’d choose a vibrant, out there colour like neon green or dark blue, and he’d do it before going to a big event like a party. He most likely invited Chase over for moral support and he spends the whole time making sarcastic comments that he looks like a coloured marker; Yume wouldn’t take any notice of them and be in love with his new look

Chase: It goes well for Chase, however this is unsurprising considering how meticulous he is about everything. He’d make sure to follow the instructions by the letter in order to get it perfect. He’d dye his hair a fairly normal colour, most likely black or dark brown, to make a change from it’s natural dark red. He wouldn’t dye his hair before a big event as despite the fact that he followed the instructions perfectly, he would be afraid of it getting messed up and having photos of it haunt him forever. He’d dye his hair while he’s alone so he can concentrate better

Lavender: It would be a mess. She’d get hair dye all over her bathroom, her clothes and her skin, and it wouldn’t be the colour she intended it to be and it’d be covered in gaps. She’d want her hair to be a pastel pink but it’d come out dark pink or off red as she didn’t follow the instructions properly. She’d most likely have a group of friends there to help out and support her, and she’d cry on their shoulders about her “ugly” hair, and how its never going to be the same again, and they’ll remind her that hair grows back. She’d definitely dye her hair before a big event and then feel like an idiot afterwards

Minami: She always has pink dyed tips so dying her full head would be a breeze, as her sister taught her how to dye hair anyway. She’d choose a light colour, such as mint or light blue. She’d most likely have Phoenix there to talk to while she does it, and she’d offer to dye his while she was doing it (he’d always say no.) She always dyes her hair anyway so it would most likely be dyed before an event

Alexis: It’d turn out okay for a first attempt, not amazing but not horrific either. She’d probably have forgotten the roots but nothing too awful. She’d always dye her hair while she was alone because she would be scared of someone making mean comments about it or not liking it. She’d dye her hair a dark colour, such as dark purple, black or dark red, as her hair is naturally dark anyway. Alexis doesn’t go to big events unless they’re online so she wouldn’t dye her hair before a typical “big event”

Phoenix: He may be academically gifted, but he has no common sense. Because of this, dying his hair would be a disaster (but not to the same degree as Lavender). It’d be the intended colour, which would most likely be black or blue, but wouldn’t be evenly covered. He’d have Minami there to tell him how to do it, and would refuse every time she offered to just do it for him. He’d then be massively embarrassed and try and wash it out until finally letting Minami fix it. He’d never dye his hair before an event as he’d be afraid of what others would say.

What is something completely random about your OC that even you, as the writer, find confusing?

I don’t really get this question, as I wouldn’t write something into my characters that would confuse me 😅 Sorry!

How does your OC celebrate their birthday? What is their wildest birthday story?

💙 Yume 💙 :

“I invite all my friends to the beach and we stay there all night! Bonfires, night swimming in the ocean, ghost stories, cave exploring, sleeping under the stars… It’s the best! I celebrate my birthday like that every year! And I have a lot of wild stories from my past birthday parties. Back when I lived with my parents, we took my dad’s speedboat out and ended up staying the night in a cave far from where we were meant to stay. My parents weren’t impressed, but dad shouldn’t have made his keys so easy to steal, y’know?”

Chase:

“I celebrate my birthday differently every year, it’d be boring otherwise. For my last birthday, I went abroad with my friends and went to a load of foreign clubs. I have no idea how we managed to get Yume into all of them, but we did. My wildest birthday story, huh… There’s been a few, but it has to be the time my parents were away and we partied in my house all night. When they came home they found Yume and a few other friends asleep outside on the lawn, and a few other friends were playing video games in the living room, and some were passed out in the kitchen… We didn’t even drink back then, we were just wild kids!”

Lavender 💐:

“I invite my best friends over for a sleepover at my house! We order pizza, we’ll play some dance games, we’ll gossip until like 2am before we go to sleep and wake up early the next day to go to a cafe and get pancakes for breakfast! There was one time when my friend was talking about the boy she had a crush on, and we prank called him! That was so funny because in the end, they ended up actually getting together!”

💕Minami 💕:

“I like to go out for a nice meal for my birthday. I invite maybe a couple of close friends and we have a chilled out time. I don’t really like inviting a lot of people because then I get scared I’m leaving someone out of the conversation. I’m not really a wild party animal so I don’t have any crazy birthday stories like Yume or Chase have, but there was one time where the waiter was bringing out my birthday cake and everyone sang happy birthday, and then she dropped it on the floor face down. I felt bad for the waiter more than anything!”

Alexis 🎮:

“…I don’t really celebrate my birthday. It’s a day just like any other. However I do like the bonuses I get in my games on my birthday. The craziest birthday story I have is that one time I slept all the way through my birthday because I pulled an all nighter playing a game with some online friends.”

Phoenix:

“I don’t do anything too crazy for my birthday, but I might buy some takeout for dinner and watch a film while I eat it. On my last birthday Minami came over and we played some games together as well, it was… pretty fun. We ended up talking about random stuff until 4am, and she stayed over on the couch. There was one time when I was a young kid when my parents took me to an outdoor maze for my birthday and I got lost for 5 hours on my own. I haven’t been in a maze since…”

Your OC now gets to strut around in a cape, what colour is the cape and what do they accessorize the cape with?

Yume: a dark blue cape that has a white fur trim, and is intricately decorated in sparkles. He’d wear a crown and big platform boots with it and feel like a QUEEN

Chase: A maroon red cape fit for royalty. He’d definitely carry a sceptre and feel like he’s the best person in the whole world

Lavender: A pink, faux fur cape that has a hood with animal ears on it. It’s most likely part of a lolita coordinate she’s put together for the colder winter months

Minami: A long, gold, silky cape. She’d wear a flowy dress underneath and enjoy spinning around and watching the fabric flutter

Alexis: A long, black cape with feathers on it. She’d march around her room still wearing her jogging bottoms and vest shirt but with the cape on, and she’d feel like a cartoon villain

Phoenix: A light blue, slightly opalescent cape. He’d wear sandals and loose clothes and feel like a mythical river being (but he wouldn’t tell anyone that)

Ako’s Well Wishing - Aikatsu Stars Oneshot

Title: Ako’s Well Wishing

Summary: Ako makes a tired wish that goes south for her...

Characters: Ako, Yume, Subaru, Kanata, Laura, Mahiru, Koharu, Yuzu

Warning: Slightly OOC (out of character) for some characters! (you’ll know who heh)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKO!!!!! This is my oneshot for today! It’s so short and I went through like, 4 other stories before deciding on writing this one... Please enjoy. I like it but I don’t uff

It was a clear night in KiraKira City. The stars were out, the sky was a beautiful shade of navy, the darkness was comforting.

Ako sat on the bench against her windowsill and looked up at the twinkling stars, her body heavy with sleep. Her eyes blinked carefully, trying to stay awake. Her days as an S4 member were hectic and she was far too ready for bed, yet she wanted to calm down and stare at the stars.

Her mind was shutting down, sleep overcoming her, but a streak through the stars made her eyes widen and her body wake up. A shooting star. Ako clutched her hands together in front of her. Shooting stars meant wishes. What would she wish for?

She already had great friends. She was a great idol and actress, rising to new heights on her own, a member of the wonderful S4, too. What was she missing?

A thought creeped in, and Ako nodded to herself, deciding. She stared up at the stars, the shooting star now gone, and closed her eyes. A whisper escaped from her lips so soft she barely heard it with her own ears.

With that, her eyelids fluttered over her vision once more. She leaned back and her world became dark against the windowsill.

Ako woke up with a ringing in her lap and a crick in her neck. Sitting up, she found herself in the same position she was in from the previous night. Ako sighed and turned off the alarm, getting up. The pain in her neck was going to be a big problem for the day, but she had to get going.

After visiting dressing up and finishing her morning routine, Ako grabbed her bag and started to head to get breakfast.

While she walked, her mobile started vibrating with messages. Curious and concerned as to why the device was continuously ringing, Ako pulled it out and glanced at the notifications. A number was sending her texts. The first one read “GM! ♡” and a symbol read “+8,” hiding the rest of the messages. Ako blinked in surprise. That was a lot. She checked the sender's number. It wasn't one she recognized.

She left the mobile, ignoring it for now while she went to eat her breakfast. When Ako entered the kitchen, she found the rest of her S4 members already gathered.

“Good morning, Ako!” Yume waved, a bagel sitting in front of her.

Yuzu waved at her with a mouthful of pancakes.

Ako took a seat at the table, “Good morning everyone.” She grabbed a piece of toast and started spreading strawberry jelly on it.

Yuzu glanced over at Ako's mobile, which she had placed beside her plate. “You sure have an active phone this morning!”

Ako shook her head, “I think it's a wrong number.”

“And they're texting you that much?” Mahiru blinked, “Could be important.”

“What's the number?” Yume asked.

Ako opened it up and passed it to Yume, who in turn showed it to Mahiru and Yuzu.

Yuzu laughed out loud, “Yuzu recognizes that number! That's Subaru’s number!”

Ako froze, “S-Subaru?”

Yume and Mahiru joined Yuzu in her laughter and gave Ako her device back.

Yume picked up her bagel again, “Your phone must have reset the number from your contacts or something.”

“Contacts?” Ako gasped. She never recalled having Subaru's number before, much less texting him.

Mahiru grinned and she lifted a fork of eggs into her mouth, “I’m surprised that Ako wouldn’t have saved her boyfriend’s contact with a ton of emojis.”

“Boyfriend?” Ako choked in shock, her eyes darting between the girls.

“Subaru-kins, heart, heart, sparkle, sparkle heart, heart eyes, heart eyes cat twice, and kissy face!” Yuzu cried, pushing her cheeks and lips together in an exaggerated kissing pose.

(Subaru-kins ❤❤💥💖😍😻😻😚)

“Subaru-kins?” Ako wheezed. Her head spun, then suddenly, her world went dark.

“Ako?”

Ako slowly opened her eyes, she slowly opened then to see Yume's figure standing above her, a white light casting a halo around her and figures she couldn't name beside her with the same halo. Ako blinked her eyes, opening them to see Yume once more, standing over her and the walls of the kitchen in the back.

“Ako? Are you okay?” Yume asked again.

Ako sat up, finding herself on the ground beside the table, Yume carefully holding her. Mahiru and Yuzu stood by with concerned expressions. “What happened?”

Yume shook her head, worry written on her face, “You just fainted suddenly. Are you feeling okay? Should we call the nurse? Or Subaru?”

Ako stiffened and quickly shook her head, “N-No! I’ll be fine! I just, couldn’t sleep last night!” she gulped, “Yes, I’m just tired.” Ako pushed herself up, then sat back down in her chair, ignoring the stares of the girls, “I’ll be fine after eating.”

Yume and the others exchanged looks.

“If you’re sure,” Mahiru finally said and they returned to their own seats to finish their breakfast. From there, they calmed down and discussed their schedules for the day, all while Ako’s phone remained untouched.

After the girls finished eating and went their separate ways, Ako picked up her mobile. She pointedly ignored the messages, instead going to check her schedule for the day. Everything was the same as it was from the night before.

With a nod, Ako gathered her things. She had two hours before she had to head out for her first job of the day; she had a run around campus planned for that time.

Once dressed in her bright tracksuit, Ako was out jogging. She ran into several of the first year students who were heading to class and greeted them, talking to them about their progress. When she reached by the gazebo, empty at that time in the morning, Ako slowed down, deciding to take a break at the calming place of rest.

Ako sat down, panting slightly from her run, and laid her arms down in front of her. She stared at the water that surrounded the structure. Her mind went blank, hypnotized by the cool blue.

Her pocket vibrated.

Ako shook out of her mind and took out her mobile. It was an alert she had set for work. The now “+19” messages from the number that she know knew was Subaru's still remained. Ako dropped the device, letting it clatter onto the table top.

The girls said Subaru was her boyfriend. How? Ako couldn't believe it. She would be fully aware that Subaru was her boyfriend. If it happened. So was this not happening?

Was she dreaming?

Ako pinched herself.

It hurt. She held the spot she pinched harder than she expected in an attempt to sooth it.

So, if she wasn't dreaming, and this was all real, then Subaru was her boyfriend. Ako's face slowly filled into a bright red. She still didn't know how to react! When did it happen? How did it happen?

...Perhaps she should check the messages.

Ako shakely reached out her finger and tapped the mobile, her movement slow as she opened the messages finally. She covered her face, waiting for the messages to open, but also to prepare herself. She used her finger to slide to the top, then cautiously peered through her fingers.

“GM! ♡”

“How did u sleep sweetie?”

“good i hope to hear! ^^”

Ako blinked at the messages.

“what is your schedule like for today?”

“lets meet up☆later if we can”

“i miss you”

Ako’s face went red. This was just like a dream. The messages got a little more hectic, with Subaru's messages becoming worried about her lack of response.

She still didn't know what to say back.

A voice surprised her from behind, “What are you mumbling about?”

Ako spun around to see a familiar face, “Kanata!”

Kanata stepped under the shade of the gazebo, equally dressed in a tracksuit and breathing unevenly. “Well, it's good to see that you're okay.”

Ako raised an eyebrow in confusion.

“Subaru has been going on about you not responding to him all morning,” Kanata continued.

Ako lowered her face, it still red, “O-Oh? That’s uh… sorry.” She didn’t know what else to say.

Kanata stared at her, his face turning serious. “Did he do something?”

Ako snapped her head, “Huh?”

“Did Subaru do something?” Kanata repeated, “Sorry, he can be an idiot sometimes-”

“No!” Ako cut him off, “He’s, uh,” actually, Ako didn’t know what to say about him. She had no recollection of it at all. “I’m, um, not feeling well.” She said lamely.

“Oh,” Kanata said simply. “You should let Subaru know. He’s driving us crazy.”

Ako nodded, clutching her hands together in her lap, “I’ll let him know.”

Kanata hummed, but said nothing. He backed up, preparing to leave, “Well, I’ll be g-”

“Wait!” Ako called suddenly.

Kanata stopped. “What is it?”

Ako bit the inside of her cheek. She wanted to ask about her and Subaru but… that would probably come off as strange, if she didn’t know about their relationship. She shook her head out of the thought and let out a wobbly smile, “Um, have a good day.”

Kanata blinked, stepping back in surprise, “Ah, thank you. You too.” With that, he turned around and jogged away.

Ako took a deep breath. This was so strange on so many levels, but she had no idea what to do.

Finally, Ako stood up, heading back to her dorm to get ready for work.

“Thank you for having me!” Ako called as she stepped out of the conference room. She had just completed an interview with a popular magazine, and now was going to go for a lunch break before heading out to her next job.

Ako head out of the studio and into the lobby to get to the exit.

Suddenly, she heard a faint feminine voice call softly from behind, “Ako?”

Ako turned around but found no one there. She shook her head and turned forward.

Footsteps approached her and she clearly heard a call, “Ako?”

Ako blinked, then faltered in step.

Subaru excitedly came towards her and wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace.

But Ako was stiff. It felt so wrong. What was wrong with her? Her crush was hugging her, well-- her boyfriend?-- and she couldn't bear it?

Her eyes met with another pair behind Subaru. His green eyes widened at the sight of Ako's own shocked ones. Ako quickly tore her gaze away from Kanata's.

Kanata cleared his throat.

Subaru pulled away quickly, a bright smile on his face. He glanced back it Kanata, “Ah, right. Sorry.” He faced Ako once again, “Kanata and I are here for a quick photo shoot. But, I'm glad you're okay! You had me worried when you didn't respond to my texts!”

Ako kept her eyes on the ground, feeling Kanata's gaze on her in inquiry. “S-Sorry, I haven't been feeling too well today…”

“Oh Ako,” Subaru said softly, “You could have told me. I know you work hard. Be careful not to overwork yourself.”

Ako nodded.

Subaru smiled, “I have an idea, there's a meteor shower happening tonight, and they're having a party at the park. If you can, do you want to go together?”

Ako hesitated, “I-I'm not sure how long my filming will last…”

Subaru nodded, “Ah, yeah. It's alright. Let me know, though. I would love to go with you.” He reached out and pushed her long bangs back, leaning close.

Ako froze in place as he leaned his face closer and closer. He was going to kiss her! She wasn't ready for this!

Quickly, Ako turned her face away from where his hand was on, making his lips land on her right cheek.

Subaru pulled back with a slight shock.

Ako stepped back, her hand going up to the cheek his lips touched. “I- my car is waiting,” she ducked her head and ran out of the building as fast as she could without another word. Her heart was racing as she entered the car and slammed the door shut in a flurry. Her body shook as if she had ran a few miles.

What was wrong with her? What was wrong with everything?

Ako closed her eyes and dropped her head into her lap. She didn't know what to do.

“Thank you very much!” Ako said as she bowed, done with her filming for the day. It wasn't even too late.

She checked her mobile for the time and found a new message from Subaru.

“done filming? we can go at 8 ☄”

Ako gulped and turned off the screen. She didn't want to go. All of it was still too much. She couldn't even remember how they started dating. Maybe she should see a doctor?

She sighed, heading to her car that would drive her back to Four Star.

She thanked the driver as she stepped out, fixing the strap of her bag on her shoulder then stepping forward.

The shadow of a figure stood against the large column of the school's gate.

Ako yelped loudly, stumbling back.

“Relax,” his voice called. “I thought you would be here.”

Ako blinked, “Kanata? What- What are you doing?”

“Enough about me,” Kanata said harshly, “nearly everyone at Four Star is at the meteor shower party. Yet here you are.”

Ako squared her shoulders, “Y-You're here too…”

Kanata narrowed his eyes, “According to my observations, you've been avoiding Subaru.”

Ako turned away. “Possibly,” she answered.

“Why?” he asked.

Ako bristled, “It's none of your business! What do you even care for?”

“You're hurting one of my unit mates and closest friends. If it's your behavior that's causing it, then I will care,” Kanata stated.

Ako’s eyes widened. Something lodged in her throat. Her eyes burned. “Fine!” Ako cried, closing her eyes tightly, “you want to know what's wrong, do you? I have no idea what's going on! Yesterday I was in my dorm being a normal single idol who only fawned over my idol Subaru, and now he's my boyfriend! I don't know how to take it! It happened suddenly! I can't remember how it happened! Suddenly Subaru is in love with me when I have only spoken a few words to him and it makes my head spin! I wanted it, but now that I have it, it feels so wrong!”

Ako huffed, her breath taken away during her rant. Tears ran down her cheeks uncontrollably. She looked up to see Kanata with wide eyes, lights flashing over his form. Apparently the meteor shower had started above the both of them.

Ako took a deep breath and spun around, running into campus and leaving Kanata alone. She closed her eyes, crying out loudly, “I wish things were how they were yesterday!”

She collapsed into her bed as soon as she arrived into her room. She simply dropped her bag and pulled her shoes off, and succumbed to sleep that called her into darkness.

“Ako...”

“Ako?”

Ako blinked her eyes. Bright light reflected back, and she squinted her eyes.

“What?” She blinked, seeing Yume's figure. “Yume?”

Yume nodded, a relieved smile on her face, “Yeah.” she turned back, “Everyone! Ako's awake!”

“Awake?” Ako repeated.

“Yeah,” Yume said as the girls came up around Ako’s bed, “You weren’t getting up this morning, and you were feeling really hot, so we called the nurse.”

“Turns out you’ve been overworking yourself, again,” Laura chimed in.

“Honestly Ako,” Mahiru said, “you need to take care of yourself.”

“And take breaks,” Koharu added, “You know we’ll help you if we can.”

Ako carefully sat up. Her mind was whirling from all the events she remembered. “Wh-Where’s my aikatsu mobile?”

“Huh?” Yume gasped in shock.

Mahiru frowned, “Ako, you need to rest-”

“No, let me just see it for a moment,” Ako interrupted.

Koharu grabbed it from a table behind them and handed it to Ako. Ako opened the phone and took a deep breath before opening her messages app.

The last message she received was from Mahiru, who had asked where she was before she got back the night before. Ako dropped her hands onto her lap.

“Ako?” Yume asked, confused.

Ako rubbed her forehead with her palm, “I had… the strangest dream. I just had to confirm it wasn’t real.”

The girls exchanged glances.

“Well, we’re glad you’re okay now,” Koharu said.

“Thank you, everyone,” Ako smiled.

The nurse released Ako from the office and she was off to the S4 gardens with the others.

“I missed a whole day?” Ako sighed as she looked up at the dark sky.

Yume put a hand on her shoulder, “It’s okay.”

Ako lowered her head.

Laura suddenly gasped, “Hey look, a shooting star!”

Koharu smiled, “Let’s make a wish.”

“A wish?” Ako whispered to herself.

I wish Subaru liked me.

Ako gasped, frozen in place. The wish she made the night before! That… that must have made her have the strange dream. Then, the meteor shower was what reversed it!

The girls stared in concern at Ako as she laughed suddenly.

Ako flipped her hair back and strutted forward, “I don’t need any wishes, I can achieve everything I need by myself.”

The girls paused in shock, before smiling.

Mahiru grinned, “That’s our Ako.”

The next day, Ako woke up well rested and ready for her day. She was going to have to reschedule everything that she had missed from the day before, but she could manage it. She got ready, ate with the girls, and head out for work.

On her way to the school gates, four figures were coming her way. Ako stiffened slightly, but continued onwards.

“Hey!” Subaru called out, spotting her first.

Ako stumbled to a stop, “Y-Yes?”

Subaru came close, “We heard you weren’t feeling good yesterday,” he gestured to the other members of M4 behind him, “glad to see you’re doing alright.”

“Yeah,” Ako nodded, “Thank you for your concern.”

“No worries,” Subaru smiled kindly, “Don’t get too caught up in work.”

“You’re one to say that, Subaru!” Asahi cried from behind.

Subaru gasped and spun around, retorting to Asahi as Nozomu joined him.

Ako shifted her weight between her legs nervously, “Ah,” Kanata looked back at her from the argument that the others had spurred into, “thank you,” she said again, “but I should get going.”

Kanata nodded at her, and Ako took it as her cue to leave.

A few steps away and she heard Asahi call a farewell to her. She turned her head briefly to wave a hand back. She stumbled at the sight of Subaru giving her a wave and her eyes met Kanata’s. Ako’s face burned and she quickly turned forward again, a hand going up to her chest to grip the fabric over her heart. These feelings inside of her… were confusing.

With a sigh, Ako dropped her hand and looked up at the sky.

Whatever it was, she would figure it out. She was Ako Saotome, and she could overcome anything coming her way.

GRAPH 2013.01: “C’est Maniaque Takarazuka” (Sagiri Seina / Misuzu Aki/ Souno Haruto / Sahana Mako)

It is now September 18th in my part of the world too, so...

Happy Birthday Chigi (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧

In celebration, here is Chigi, Mattsu, Niwa and Kyabii being GIANT zuka nerds, and extremely relatable while doing so. Recommended read for literally everyone (and since this Graph issue is a few months shy of being 5 years old, look at these incredible, pure fan smiles xD)

-Declare your love for XX!-

Misuzu: In this case, I probably want to declare my love for Yan-san (Anju Mira). The reason I seriously fell in love with Takarazuka, was Yan-san. And as an onnayaku too! Usually, otokoyaku Yan-san gives off this “how cool!” vibe, right? But that was completely different, I was like “Who is this person?”

Sagiri: Which production was that?

Misuzu: “The Flash”. During Natsume-san’s (Ooura Mizuki) Top Star era.

Sagiri: Right!

Misuzu: For more details, I talked about it in “C’est Maniaque Takarazuka”, GRAPH 2012.03 issue! *laughs* [1]

Sagiri: *laughs* As for me, I loved the YanMiki combi (Anju Mira & Maya Miki), and what I loved the most about Yan-san is her opening announcements!

Misuzu/Souno/Sahana: Oh really!

Sagiri: I have a thing for opening announcements, and those were some goosebump-inducing ones *laughs*

Souno: Is that so *laughs*

Sagiri: I felt something very grownup there, that spoke to my little heart when I was still a child. The impression I have of Yan-san is her opening announcements *laughs* My favourite plays of hers that constantly compete for the title and switch between 1st and 2nd place are “Sorrowful Cordoba” and “Melancholic Gigolo”.

Misuzu: I was in both of those when they got restaged. [2]

Sagiri: What was it like, performing them? I sometimes think I might be no good if I had to perform in a play I’ve always loved

Misuzu: Yeah. “Melancolic Gigolo” was one of my favourites too and I watched it a lot, so I was at a loss about how I should do it… I had the role of Barotte, but watching it and performing it…

Sagiri: ...they’re totally different things, indeed. You already have this fixed image of the play after all.

Misuzu: Yeah. Once I did it it was an interesting experience, though.

Souno: I loved Kodai Mizuki who used to be in Snow Troupe! Of course, I watched the Top Stars too, but I was paying lots of attention to everyone around them too. I loved striking people with old-school gravitas. I was all about that vibe.

Misuzu: She was so wonderful. I get you! I get that!

Sagiri: She was so cool!

Souno: I would even put portraits of Kodai-san from the Takarazuka magazines inside my pencil board… [3]

Sagiri: Yes! I totally did that too!

Misuzu/Sahana: *laughing*

Souno: I did that during my school years.

Sahana: I had my Takarazuka goods confiscated at school, and got told off very badly!

Misuzu/Souno/Sagiri: Whaaat? Really?

Souno: Was it not allowed?

Sahana: I was called to the teachers’ office twice!

Misuzu/Souno/Sagiri: *cracking up*

Sagiri: What kind of goods was it?

Sahana: Uhm, there used to be those pocket size portrait photos… [4]

Sagiri: Yesyes, those!

Sahana: I had collected lots of them, put them in a box and kept them in bundles

Misuzu/Souno/Sagiri: *explosive laughter*

Sahana: So because I had that with me, it was taken away, and I was summoned to the teachers’ office… Where I said “Please give it back!”

Souno: And did they give it back?

Sahana: *nods*

Souno: But you got reprimanded again?

Sahana: Yes. The second time I told the teacher again to “Please give it back!”. And when they did, they had stuck a note on the box that said “I’m giving it back, but from now on you should grow up, and be pure, proper and beautiful”!

Souno: Aaah, that’s no good!

Sahana: I got so super mad, I ripped off the note right in front of the teacher’s eyes and ate it!

Misuzu/Souno/Sagiri: *in stitches*

Misuzu: She ate it! HAHAHA *laughing*

Sagiri: Why would you eat it? *laughing* But that in itself was a total act of defiance

Sahana: Exactly, I just got so ticked off.

Sagiri: The thing you loved so much was taken away from you, no wonder.

Souno: And to be told such a thing on top of everything, that was the worst, eh?

Sahana: It really was!

Misuzu: Using it against you is really no good. It has the opposite effect.

Sahana: Exactly!

Souno: *laughs* That kind of thing happened to me too. In the morning, when I was sleeping, my mother would come in the room and say “Wake up! Wake up quick!”. Then, my father chimed in with “Kodai-san is calling youuu~”

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: *clapping hands and dying of laughter*

Sagiri: Makes you go “As if she would be!”

Souno: Right!! And on top of that, sometimes he’d mess up and say “Godai-san”

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: *roaring laughter*

Souno: “It’s Kodai-san!!!!” I’d answer, super angrily *laughs*

Sagiri: But you did wake up alright *laughing*

Souno: True. *laughs* But I really didn’t want them to use this against me, for such a thing.

Misuzu: I get it, I do.

Souno: Everyone has a story like this after all! I got really fired up, all of a sudden.

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: *laughing*

Sahana: I guess I’m not declaring love to anyone in particular, I’m declaring my love for portrait photos after all *laughs* I really loved collecting all of them, otokoyaku and musumeyaku photos alike. At the time there weren’t many shops, and -since I’m from Tokyo- I went all the way to Shinjuku to buy them

Souno: I’d also go there to buy video tapes and the like! I wonder if it’s still there? That place under Kinokuniya.　[5]

Sahana: Yes, yes! That’s the place!

Souno: It was a tiny little shop, but once I stepped inside I’d get all light-headed *laughs*

Misuzu/Sagiri: *laugh*

Misuzu: What was the one in Osaka… ah, I guess there was this really tiny store in a corner inside the Hankyu Department Store

Souno: It’s all the tiny ones after all

Sagiri/Sahana: *burst out laughing*

Misuzu: Everything was all cramped up in a tiny bit of space *laughs*

Sagiri: In Nagasaki, no one around me knew about Takarazuka. Therefore, even though I had the pencil board, I’d absolutely get asked “what’s with that?”

Misuzu: What did they think it was?

Sagiri: A relative’s kid once said “that’s a man wearing lipstick!”. I’d explain “that’s not a man, you know”, but they wouldn’t understand, and explaining was a bother. So, I did have a Takarazuka pencil board… but I was too embarrassed to use it… I had that kind of dilemma *laughs*

Souno: Having your stuff seen by people and get all kinds of comments about it, makes you go like, “it’s on a different level!”, so to say

Sagiri: That’s it! Whole different level!

Misuzu: Into the zone of enlightenment? *laughs*

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: *laugh*

Sagiri: Then, thinking I should finally drop my reservations, write it all down in an essay and announce it publicly, I read out my feelings about Takarazuka during some event like a class meeting

Misuzu/Souno/Sahana: Hu~h!

Sagiri: Once I did, there unexpectedly were people who said “oh, I know that” and others who told me “I have no idea what that is, but I support you in chasing after your dream!”.

Misuzu/Souno/Sahana: Woooo~w!

Misuzu: What a great outcome

Sagiri: Yet even after that, I was still too embarrassed to use the pencil board openly.

Sahana: But you came out of the closet *laughs*

Sagiri: Yes, in public! *laughs*

Souno: Probably at around the same time as Chigi-chan (Sagiri), I gave a speech in English, “I LOVE TAKARAZUKA”

Sagiri: *in stitches*

Souno: Total embarrassment! We both came out, and mine was in English too *laughs*

Misuzu: You’re sooo~ coo~l

Souno: Using up all of my English knowledge at the time, I ended the speech with “I love Takarazuka, forever”

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: *roaring laughter*

Sagiri: You should have played the BGM to that

Misuzu: “Forever Takarazuka”, right *laughs*

Souno: Since then, everyone called me “Takarazuka”

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: *cracking up hard*

-A song you unconsciously start humming-

Misuzu: Ah! For me it’s the theme song from “Spartacus”

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: ♪ Itsumo yume mitetaaaa ♪ (I always dreamed a dream)

Misuzu: That one! Also, “Amore Scusami” that Mineoka Nachi sings during the duet dance in the finale

Sagiri/Sahana: Aah!

Misuzu: I couldn’t sing that high, but I loved it so much I always sung it trying to imitate her

Souno: How great is that!

Misuzu: Also, it’s not humming, but I could do the entire prologue of “The Flash”!

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: Ama~zing!

Sagiri: For me it’s the one that’s like “Commando~!”. Which prologue was that?

Misuzu: What’s that again?

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: ♪ Commandooo~ ♪

Sagiri: “Spartacus”, I guess. It was so amazing, they went like *gets up from the chair and performs that scene’s choreography*

Misuzu/Souno/Sagiri: BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Misuzu: I think that was probably in the prologue

Sagiri: Prologue, right. I think while Yan-san or some other star was on stage, Miki-san comes out from somewhere out of the spotlight in the back at stage left *laughs*

Misuzu/Souno/Sahana: *in stitches*

Sagiri: It was like “BOOM”. I really really! Cannot forget that *laughs* Miki-san’s voice climbing up like “Commando~ ⤴”, like she’s shifting pitch maybe

Souno: She did that! So unique.

Sagiri: That really stayed with me *laughs*

Misuzu/Sahana: It does stick, it really does!

Souno: Miki-san always did that, in every song

Misuzu: Uh, there’s also the one that goes “A dandy~, a dandy~” ♪

Sagiri: Yes yes! *laughs*

Souno: That prologue from “Dandyism” was so good

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: So cool!!

-I love this outfit!-

Misuzu: The outfits from the finale grand staircase in “Fancy Touch”, and another one I can’t leave out is Yan-san’s white outfit from the “Spartacus” duet dance. Oh! There’s another one! Yan-san’s beige suit from “Hyper Stage”! [6]

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: *laugh*

Misuzu: In her farewell speech, Yan-san wasn’t in a hakama, she was wearing that suit. Also, and sorry for mentioning so many *laughs*, the ones during the raid in “Chuushingura”! [7]

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: Aaah, yes yes!

Sagiri: That was really amazing!

Misuzu: When everyone came down the Grand Staircase in those outfits I was blown away!

Souno/Sagiri/Sahana: Yup, yup.

Sagiri: I thought the outfits from “Hyper Stage”’s prologue were very original, I loved those. Didn’t they also have a mic or something across one cheek?

Sahana: Yes, that’s right!

Misuzu: Back then!

Sagiri: Yes! “Cutting-edge fashion!” I thought *laughs*

Misuzu/Souno/Sahana: I knowww *in stitches*

Sagiri: The choreography went like this!

Everyone: *starts dancing* Hyper Stage! Hyper Stage!

Misuzu: Director Ishida’s prologues are quite cosplay-style

Souno: The onnayaku’s mini skirts were super cute! “TAKE OFF”’s outfits too.

Everyone: *singing loudly* ♪ Take Off! Chikara no kagiri boku wa utau! Kimi no tameee~ ♪ *laugh*

Misuzu: They were wearing gakuran uniforms, right? [8]

Souno: That too, was so cool!

Sahana: Me, I really loved Takane Fubuki’s military uniforms in “Romanesque Mask”. The musumeyaku wore lots of chic dresses, with beautiful texture like velour. But especially Takane-san in that uniform was truly cool!

Misuzu/Souno/Sagiri: Yeah, she was so beautiful!

Sagiri: Like, don’t you think it’s incredible? Even though we used to live in different places, and lead different lives, we all get this fired up over the same theme!

Misuzu/Souno/Sahana: It really, really is!

Sagiri: It’s all of our youth bottled up in there!

Souno: You have a way with words. That’s exactly it.

Sagiri: So full of memories!

Souno: It was so much fun!

Misuzu/Sagiri/Sahana: *laugh*

Souno: I feel like my skin is smooth and glossy now!

Sahana: It really feels like we got rejuvenated!

Everyone: *laughs*

2017.07.25 Yume no 100 Ouji Stage Review

The full title is ‘Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100 Non no Oujisama’ but that’s way too long to put in the title! xD And everyone tweeted with the hashtag ‘YumeStage’ so hence the title here.

PS. This time the drinking game is; drink everytime I say ‘sweet’ or ‘sweetie’ xD

I saw this twice in one day and I’m super happy I did! No regrets here!

Non-Spoiler Review

Overall: Guys!! This play is still playing in my head big style and it’s been over a month since I saw it! I went in knowing nothing about this stage and I just went with the mindset of ‘I’m going to enjoy this no matter what’ and goddammit it paid off. I enjoyed this so freaking much! I really want a second stage too and I’m defo buying the DVD. It definitely isn’t the best Idol Stage there is -- there’s only really one decent song in the entire stage -- BUT the amount of adlibs and the amount of funny moments and how the boys themselves just seem to be enjoying it, really shines through! Because Yume Stage wasn’t so ‘high value’ compared to the other Idol stages, the boys really had room and freedom to just fuck about and enjoy! It really was amazing in terms of how enjoyable it was. Also the story is simple and cute enough that literally anything could happen and I loved the little twists we had! This stage also really let me understand WHY RenRen is so damn popular -- he really stole my heart in this stage! THAT and his cute tiny tushie -- we’ll not get into that conversation just yet. I totally get why he’s popular thanks to this stage. Everyone was freaking adorable! Seriously, this is probably my favourite stage of the summer! It’s the only stage where I was like ‘hell yeah!’ pretty much the entire time AND it’s the only stage this summer to STAY in my brain for so long. I’m definitely getting this BR! Rating: If we compare it to other stages and other idol stages then people would probably rate this a 6 out of 10. But for me it’s like an 8/10. Guys, I can’t stress enough how much I enjoyed this stage.

SPOILER Review

PreShow

This was one I put in for the senkou on a whim… It has TakaChan (Takasaki Shouta) in it; TokiEnta was doing a cast senkou for him so I decided to put in and then I learnt if you went to the two different endings, you got a special good so I put in for two and managed to get both of them! I got the second to last and the final show which I thought was super lucky! So I went and to be honest, I’ve never played the game, didn’t intend to and to be honest, I’m kind of sick of all the idol stages they keep doing so at first I wasn’t all that excited for this show… BUT THEN I saw some of the visuals and TakaChan’s and Bishin’s looked sooooooo cute and even Yamanaka’s visual looked good -- and he;s not even the twin I prefer! Also I realised it had Yoshioka Yu in it, and I love finding chances to be able to support him! So I got somewhat excited… AND THEN the show started and I saw all the dress rehearsal pics and DAMN my excitement went THROUGH the roof! Just on the pics it looked like so much fun! And guys… I wasn’t wrong… allow me to explain….

The Show

So about 10-5 minutes before the show starts, the Ensemble Guys come out and do like a ‘welcome’ skit as well s explaining the rules, and every time it was a little different. One guy was totally hilarious and always did this funny movement when saying ‘I’m sorry’ -- he’s essentially the ‘sumimasen/sorry’ guy. They would also come out at different times and from different parts of the stage. However, we had Harada who would come from audience entrance and down the stairs and I was super lucky because he came past me in BOTH stages! And he’s super fucking cute! I literally fell in love with him straight away! He’s sooooo cute!!!! *dead*

I’m okay... and this is just the Ensemble! So already I was like ‘yes! This is gunna be good!’

BUT as it got closer to the start time, I saw people taking out penlights and I immediately thought ‘fuck.’ because there wasn’t a penlight on the goods list so I assumed ‘ah we don’t need one’ but I wish to god they had been like ‘have your penlights ready!’ I so wanted to join in and I felt super bad and out of place that I didn’t have one! Both times I was like ‘fuck’ but the second time around I knew the songs so I could just clap along -- and I was loud xD In the second stage they should really bring out a penlight -- or at least I need to remember one.

The story for this was very cute:

We have these three countries’ princes who’ve all reserved this special hotel for a certain someone’s (the girl who plays the game) birthday BUT because they all booked the same place; it was triple booked. So they decide that the winner of a performing contest will win and use the room. But some monsters turn up shortly after, of course, and some of them end up being with different groups and are trying to find their way back to each other. On top of that, magical mushroom pixie dust has been released and it’s making some of them become really truthful about their feelings.

So you can see; simple plot therefore lots of room to grow and had adlibs and have fun and boy they had fun!

The story was the most hilarious ON the day I went because that day was Yoshioka’s birthday! So at the end of both curtain calls I saw, TakaChan was like ‘Ren! You forgot the most important thing! guess who’s birthday it is!!! YOSHIOKA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!’ He also started singing one of the songs from the stage to him and the audience started clapping along but he quickly got embarrassed and stopped xD Takachan took every chance to say happy birthday to Yuu xD

As mentioned in the Non-Spoiler section, the songs aren’t the best BUT they are real cute. Each Country of Princes had their own group song. My favourite was definitely the Snow Country’s song; it felt the most powerful and it was a rock song and the dance was a little sexy and I feel like they really turned up the volume for that one. They also had all member songs too.

Snow Country’s song is the best! It’s powerful and cool just like Yoshioka xD Also Cheshire lots some fairy dust and it made people honest Which was hilarious! Cos we had guys like ‘I don’t need my brothers– no wait I love my brother! I wanna be like him!’

There was a lot of audience interacting in this one in terms of they go into the crowd a lot and there’s a scene with Tiiga, Rido and Sai talking to the audience towards the beginning of the stage, and they go into the crowd while they sing etc.

This stage really made me want to play the game, just because the actors did so well in making them so damn cute and adorable!!! BUT the fact it’s a vertical screen game, kind of puts me off it. AND my phone really can’t handle another game on my mobile xD BUT it looks really good... I’m a Cute-Kei, I love cute characters; just look at them here! AND they did an Ensemble collab and have Shinkai Kanata! Oh no.... I might start this.

Speaking of characters: Guys I'm in love with so many of them!!! Let’s go through the actors and characters:

RenRen as Tiiga: I finally saw the charm in why people like RenRen today too which isn't good because now I want to buy his Gekkan photobook and he recently brought out his own First photobook and I want to get that too! He was totally adorable in this! I always knew he had an endless amount of energy (just like Ryuji, Ogotan etc.) but he really showed it here. Also he was amazing with the comedy timing and his adlibs were awesome too! He’s so sweet too! During the curtain calls (get onto that later) he was sweet and very sincerer and I liked the way he spoke. His character is very similar to his Ensemble Stars characters. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. This is a good thing because it was character that we all know RenRen can do. he’s also the type of character everyone likes: loud yet lovable and very truthful to himself (most of the time). BUT it’s a bad thing because it was difficult to separate Tiiga and Akehoshi Subaru; at times it felt like I was just watching RenRen act in Ensemble rather than be like ‘no this is Tiiga and this is Yume Stage’ so that’s a little downside. But he had so many good scenes. I really loved his scene where Frost freezes his leg and he can’t move his leg - very well done acting by RenRen there. Another time, in anger he punches the ground then slowly starts to rub his hand which I died at both times.

AND he had his classic ‘why bother giving him a mic because his natural voice is so freaking loud, we can all hear him without a mic’ xD and did I mention his tushie? I try not to perv on actors as much these days but his butt is so cute! I can’t not look! Seriously, if you see the pics of him in this outfit! It’s real cute xD

Takasaki (TakaChan) Shouta as Rido: TakaChan... TakaChan is always an idiot but a lovable one. And poor Takachan, he really tried to sing xD however, just like RenRen, he played a character somewhat to his Ensemble character (Izumi); he had this stoicness about him and this proudness, BUT Rido is a lot cuter and more innocent and I really liked seeing his and RenRen’s dynamic. They were just so good together and TakaChan, being the fail he is, just cracked up a lot on stage while RenRen so professionally kept it together. There was a good similarity and contrast between them. And can we talked about how, although the gloves he wore were sexy, he had trouble flipping pages of books and stuff with them on which was adorable. OH! There was a scene where the three of them (from Jewel Kingdom) had to act out a play - very badly by the way - and RenRen was in charge and yelling at the other two at what to do and then Rido was upset he was playing the villain and got very sick of Tiiga’s demands and controlling that he rolled up the script they were using, used it as a sword, jabbed RenRen a few times but then whacked RenRen over the head, really hard -- it was super funny BOTH times. Such a good moment between them two.

But this little shit with his sexy pictures; look at this:

Adachi Yuuto as Sai: This one was a surprised (most of them were), he very quickly got into my heart. I wasn’t interested in him at first just because I don’t know the actor but Sai turns out to be this cute, sweet Prince who’s totally adorable (I know cute and adorable are the same). I ended up really liking Sai but he is a little overshadowed by RenRen/Tiiga and TakaChan/Rido’s strong personalities. But he does play the nice middle ground between their huge personalities and keeps the trio relationship balanced.

Saki Masato as Madhatter: Saki is one of those actors who’s very type-cast. You know exactly what his character is going to be like before you see him on stage because he is that type-cast. This one was no different; I totally get why he got this role. His character was obviously, proud and very self-righteous and very much like ‘I know what’s going on. Why should we give up the party room for you’ and stuff. I really liked his fighting style with his stick though. Unfortunately he was one of the lesser ones in terms of stage time so we didn’t really get to know him that much, so I don’t have much to say. But his performance was great and I love the fact he’s the Mad Hatter and his costume was awesome and his fight scenes were great too! He gave what you would expect of him which is good enough.

Takamatsu Kouichi as Capita: This one really shocked me. When he came on stage I thought ‘this guy looks familiar’, and then a few minutes later it finally clicked ‘he’s from Star Concerto!!’ I had no idea both him AND Bishin (also in Star Con) were in this stage! So I was immediately pumped and kept an eye on him. Unfortunately his character also didn’t have a lot of stage time like MadHatter so we didn’t get to see much of him. BUT I really loved his fight scenes. He’s one of those characters who is so powerful he doesn’t need to attack when it comes to a fight. The enemies would charge towards him and he just dodged them so flawlessly and only attacked to deal the final blow. He was such a badass fighter. And I rather love that he had this pipe to s--- omg I’ve just realised he’s the caterpiller from AIW!!! Why did it take me this long to realise Capita = Caterpiller!! That’s why he smokes!! It was really cool that he was just ‘smoking’ it on stage the entire time and never even stopped when he was flawlessly fighting. I really liked his costume too! I think his costume is my favourite out of them all. I just hope in the second stage though, we get more character development and backstory from him because I do want to know more about him. But now that I know he’s the Caterpiller(!) I kind of understand why his character is so chill and passive about all the incidents that happen.

Kobayashi Tatsuyuki as Heart: I was surprised by how much I liked this character. I liked the visuals originally, but didn’t so much find him a priority or of anyone I should focus on. But his character is so sweet! He’s like the Naruko of Yume Stage: Very loud and energetic and rather confident, but also full of heart and always chasing after the MadHatter because he respects him and wants to be like him and thinks he’s the coolest thing to walk the planet. If I remember correctly, he was the strongest singer too. His wig is totally adorable with the little heart mark on it too!

His is another costume I fell in love with and totally want! xD I’m pretty sure this is his first stage too and he did a great job! He always brought great energy to the stage and when he got separated from MadHatter he was cute too!

Iiyama Kouta as Cheshire Cat: This one... as soon as he walked on stage, I was like ‘oooooh who’s this sexy minx?!’ and by god he was sexy! He was probably the best at being cat-like -- and in a sexy way! It didn’t help that he was the mischievous character and it’s because of him, who had the magical mushroom pixie dust, that the dust got out and made people become rather truthful to themselves and to others. Granted he just wanted to have a bit of fun and was without malcontent, and he did spill the contents out by accident xD but it still; caused quite a ruckus and was rather full to see unravel. Also there’s a scene with him and Chrono -- it was part of a higawari (daily changing scene) --where he basically just tells Chrono to do something and Bishin/Chrono literally cannot say no, which naturally makes it comedy gold for the audience. Turns out this actor is actually super popular so by the time I finished the Afternoon show (and with it being the final show) his bromides were completely sold out -- I guess his beautiful pictures in the photobook will have suffice. It’s only naturally he’s popular - he was super sexy and cute at the same time and was a really good sexy cat AND he’s freaking RenRen’s group member so that makes him auto-popular right? ... According to his profile he was in YowaMushi Pedal too?! *googles* ahhh yeah.... that’s him... anyway enjoy this photobook pics of him <3

Uesugi Teru as Machia: I feel really bad for how low my expectations of him was. He was pretty decent in Marker Light Blue (see here) but after my friend said he was like the weak link in TsukiUta, my opinion of him kind of went down a little so while watching stage I was pretty critical towards him and really scrutinising if he did something good or not. I have to saw he had a cute character and I really like how he used his actual fake dog(?) ears when he was trying to get everyone back to their friends and such -- his ears had super good hearing.

I really liked when he was explaining to Frost what his brother was saying from afar and he used very interesting and comical movements. But overall, he was definitely the weakest in the stag. He’s not actually a bad actor but in comparison to all the popular and more experienced actors around him, it was a little obvious he was somewhat newer. I do look forward to seeing him again in Marker again in November though (see link here). I think he has room to grow and improve so it’s not a bad thing... did I justify my opinion enough yet?

Kawasumi Bishin as Chrono: I was interested in Bishin’s character the moment the visuals came out; firstly, he enver plays (full on) cute charactyers and this character is in pink and has bunny ears and his visuals looked so good. The moment they came out I had already decided to buy his bromides. And he did not disappoint in the stage! He was so adorable and his character was great! Esepcially with him and Cheshire Cat’s constrast and their pairing was great! Bishin’s character tried to act responsible and reasonable but Cheshire just went one step too far and he broke down and, thanks to the mushroom dust, he spent part of the play just crying like ‘Cheshire Cat is so mean to me! He makes me do stuff and I don’t want to! He forces me to do this stuff because he doesn’t like me!! I want him to like me!! I want to be his friend!!’ and Cheshire, eventually is like, ‘woah, I don’t hate you. Chill. I make you do stuff because it’s fun, because you always do as I say! I always have fun with you! I’ll stop if you want’ so Chrono got happy again because they really are friends ^_^ Bishin’s dancing was great too! He’s always had amazing dance skills and they shined through even in this stage! And he has so much energy!

Takane Masaki as Dormouse: I fell in love with this little cutie as soon as he came out on stage! His character is essentially ‘I’m always tired so I’m just going to sleep right here... while standing... in the middle of your argument’ and he does! he will literally sleep anywhere! It got so bad, that during one of the battles, they had to move him to the side of the stage so they could fight! And THEN because he wouldn’t wake up, they ended up putting him in a trolley and pushed him around the stage that way! He’s awake literally for like 10 minutes. He’s so freaking cute! His yawns and stretches are adorable too! And he uses those stretches as weapons to attack the enemy towards the end -- it’s cute and funny at the same time that the enemy got beaten by a tired mouse stretching xD I really wanted his bromides but his sold out too! Hopefully AGS will get them eventually so I can snag his and Cheshire’s ^_^

Yoshioka Yu as Frost: And now we’re at this sexy motherfucker. Just like Saki he is very type-cast in his characters and this stage was no different. He always nails the ‘stone cold and arrogant, yet sexy’ character. However, this one had a little bit of a spin when he inhaled the mushroom dust, he became really sensitive and worried and just a super sweet guy. Everyone was really shocked. For those that don’t know, Yu is a super sweetie in real life and I think that’s why he always does this tough, serious, strong characters because they’re completely different to his actual self. So cute to see that little switcheroo on stage. AND the day I went; it was his birthday! So it was really funny that the story itself was coincidentally about birthdays and every time at curtain call TakaChan was like ‘it’s Yu’s birthday! Don’t forget Ren! It’s Yu’s birthday!’ TakaChan was totally trolling Yu and kept telling Yu is was his birthday xD

Takahashi Rio as Glacier: This was another who surprised me. I didn’t expect to like him but as soon as he came on stage, I thought ‘oh he’s cute! And I like his visual and his character development in this is great!’ and THEN I learnt he’s from TokiEnta (same Ent Company as TakaChan, Aramaki Yoshihiko, Tomita Sho, Kishimoto Takuya etc)! So I was like ‘AUTO MUST LIKE!’. I telly enjoyed his character; his character starts off as very closed off and doesn’t really want to talk to anyone or make friends but soon after the mushroom dust kicks in he opens up and is like ‘I want to be like my brother (Frost)! I respect him so much and he’s so cool!’ and soon enough he opened up to Rido who was like ‘I’ll be your friend! Don’t be so closed off. I’ll accept you no matter what’ so they become friends and it’s so cute! His character really grows on me. All these characters in the stage sound very similar but that's honestly because I ain't doing any of them justice. They're all very individual and have their own unique cute parts but I'm just doing a flumsy job of describing them individually xD Honestly!! So this one was a wonderful surprise for me to ending up liking. And then when I saw him at MakiChan's event (review hopefully coming soon on that one too!) like a month alter; he's even more likable as a person! He's so nice in real life -- as expected of TokiEnta actors <3 anyway I'm getting too far ahead of myself. Here, take these pics:

Yamanaka Shouta as Schnee: Firstly, Shouta isn't my favourite twin. I much prefer Kenta even though Shouta seems to be getting more gigs. But he was fine in this! I still can't get over how naturally high their voices are but I quite likes the bratty side he had in this. It wasn't a bad bratty; it was more of a 'I love my brothers and I always want us to be together and I want to be by their sides so don't ruin it!' type of brattiness. He has a really emotional part towards the end of the stage which tugs at the heart strings a but where he explains it's always just been those three and he's scared of someone ruining it which is sweet (yep, keep taking those shots). BUT unfortunately (but fortunately?) I have to get a little pervy again BECAUSE whenever Shouta was on stage; I was just constantly looking at his crotch. The suspenders that hold up his (very nicely coloured) purple jeans are a bit too high/tight and they kind of outlined his crotch section rather... obviously? So my eyes were very much floating to that part of him more than anything else... Seriously, between his crotch and RenRen's tushie, I didn't know where to look xD I'm sorry for the perviness! My old age is kinda making me feel bad when I think this kind of way; 20 year old me would've focused only on THOSE parts but me now is like 'nah, see them for their personality! It's kinda rude to them if you're only focusing on THOSE parts' but my eyes just couldn't help it... am I forgiven?... lets see if I can find a picture to prove my point

And last we have The Ensemble!!

Ensemble teams are seriously becoming my favourite part of stages! For quite a while now (even with HakuMyu and Touken etc.), I've always been just as 'THIS person should do this play' about the ensemble cast as much as I am about the actual main cast in stages. Ensemble are so incredibly important and there's quite a few who very regularly pop up (Ikeda for example has done Sengoku Musou, TouStage and now UtaPuri etc.) and you get used to see their presence and you understand their acting and action just as much as any other actor on the main casting list so even with YumeStage I was paying just as much attention to the ensemble as I was with anyone else.

Nagome Jin: This guy was super funny! When he came on during the '10 minutes until show time' part he's like 'I got my hair permed...I daren't take my hat off! It's atrocious! Please don't look!' but I think it's actually his naturally hair! It was a funny moment. And he's like 'don't laugh at my hair! Don't even mention it!' xD

Harada Masahi: THIS is the cutie!!!!! As soon as he started walking down the stairs during the Pre-10-minutes I was in love! He is completely adorable and cute!! His profile picture does him absolutely NO justice but god damn his twitter is full of beauties! Here's some of them!

I messaged Masashi after the show ended so our little conversation is here:

I wrote to him something like “I really loved the ensemble’s higawaris and all the comedy scenes. I laughed a lot” so he replied:

Alex-san! Thank you very much!! I’m happy to hear those words from you ☆ We really thought through the daily higawaris (laugh)

Hino Toshihiko: He played the main owner/Manager for the staff and he was very professional even when the rest of them were cracking up laughing on stage. His character was strict but he did have his moments too. He's really good looking too ^_^ I liked his performance and thought he fit perfectly as the Hotel Head of Staff or whatever he was xD

Nakano Riku: I think he was the 'sumimasen/I'm sorry' guy who would just apologise for everything and would do it while doing these hilarious things. He either did a robot-like move, or he would hold the note for a very long time (it was so well done we all gave him a round of applause), or he did like a ballerina spin before he apologised; it was absolutely hilarious. It cracked the rest of the ensemble up too! Especially Masashi who was already adorable! I look forward to see what ridiculous stuff he did for the DVD filming day. Also he has a scene where he too inhales the mushroom dust and he does a complete 180. He throws his hat down and is like 'WHY SHOULD I APOLOGISE?!' and storms off while the rest of the ensemble look at him like 'we're so sorry we caused you stress!' and run after him! xD

Unfortunately I don't remember the rest of the ensemble cast *cries*

Extra Notes:

*Masashi just got cast as Ensemble for UtaPuri, so guess who’s going to try for the damn LV so I can see him (and Ikeda)?! I ain’t interested in seeing it for Someya or the main cast but for the god damn Ensemble xD Now you see why I said ensemble have become a major deal for me and my friends, and most likely other fans.

*Nagome and Hino are in the Banchou Boys stage: Amakuhanaize 2 and I was super surprised when they walked out.. I was like ‘YUME STAGE ENSEMBLE?!’ so I enjoyed seeing them in something else too << spoiler alert xD

Okay now that the cast and characters are done... now it’s time for...

Afternoon vs Night Show Differences

AFTERNOON:

The first/second scene we properly have the Jewel country together, they come in from the left side door and into the aisle area; TakaChan turned to RenRen and said 'don’t be stupid!’ RenRen: 'Okay!’ TakaChan: 'I mean it!’ RenRen: ’…okay’ Then he turned to Sai 'you too!’ Sai: 'Me?!’ So Taka and RenRen go towards the stage but Sai turned to an audiene member, 'who do you like? ….. *looks at TakaChan and RenRen* she can’t decide… who do you like? ….. she said everyone!’ XD

During the ‘we’re performing a play within a play’ scene with the Jewel Country; Takachan tried to do a manly voice and ended up pissing himself laughing and because it was still so early in the day and to be honest, most of them weren’t fully functioning yet (xD), RenRen had to look away to stop himself from laughing!

One of the jokes between the ensemble is asking the sumimasen guy how far he could see. I thought they were joking when they said: Where you looking? 12th row. What you see? Nothing.

And then I looked behind; there weren’t even 12 rows of audience for the afternoon show because it started so damn early! Which is sad because this stage is super cute!!

During this show, RenRen and Sai’s actor when past me. Masashi went past me on the left-hand side.

After the frozen leg incident, in the next scene RenRen stormed over to Yoshi and yelled 'you froze my leg! It's still cold! No wait, wrong leg! Right!'

There's one higawari where RenRen goes on his tippy toes cos he's smaller than Yoshi and Saki; in the afternoon show Saki did the same as RenRen and went up on his tippytoes.

Going back to the scene where Chrono has to do everything and anything the Cheshire Cat tells him to; in the afternoon show Chrono was pushing the trolley with Dormouse in it while Cheshire was getting a piggyback from him. When Chrono would stop, Cheshire was like ‘lets swap and I’ll pull the trolley!’ but he would push like one step and be tired, then get a piggyback again while Chrono did a few more steps and literally did that 3 or 4 times. Poor Chrono/Bishin!

During the Curtain Call: RenRen said 'I tried real hard to wake up this morning! I’m sure you all did too. Who does a show at 11:30?!’ and we were all dying of laughter and it was like a mutual agreement of ‘lets never do an 11:30 show ever again’ xD Also, as RenRen was finishing up like ‘okay so–’, Takachan was like 'WAIT! Ain’t you forgot something?’ RenRen was ignoring the fact it was Yoshi’s birthday xD

NIGHT:

MY NEXT SEAT WAS AN AISLE SEAT!!!!! I was so happy!!! And I was lucky enough that Masashi SWAPPED sides for his ‘down the stairs’ entrance so he was on my side for both shows because I also swapped sides!

The second time around was even better!! Also the audiene was a full house so this time the ensemble was like ‘I see the 26th row!’ and they replied ‘there is no 26th row!’ xD

The first thing TakaChan said when he came on stage was ‘Guys I just realised... *looks at his outfit* I’m a spring onion’ and everyone died laughing.

The tippy toe scene: this time Saki and Yoshi both put a hand on either side of RenRen’s shoulder and pushed him back down off his tippy toes xD

Also their sneezes were cuter in the night show when they got the mushroom pixie dust in their system. Guess they woke up by this time!

The group Jewel aisle scene: Takachan: Chokkai suru na! = Don’t you go meddling Sai: You too Rido And then they all proceeded to speak to some guests!! Takachan patted a girl’s head. After patting he was like 'I'm good let's go!' and RenRen replied 'I wanna talk longer!!' he wasn’t allowed to.

I missed it in the first show, BUT the first time all of Wonder Kingdom are together, there’s a bet between Chrono and Marchia! In the night show, Chrono/Bishin walked on stage with the stage’s photobook and bet it. Marchia asked to look at it first and when he did, he was like 'ooooh too sexy!' he won it in the end.

Back to the Cheshire and Chrono higawari: Cheshire was absolutely ridiculous and told him to be a rocket then change into an enemy who’s attacked by the rocket, and then be a rocket again, and then TWO enemies, and a rocket. Bishin was so tired by the end. He looked like he was going to murder Yuuta and was so out of breath.

This time instead of RenRen and Sai passing me, it was TakaChan ^_^

TakaChan cracked up at a totally normal line. During a scene where they’re trying to decide how to decide who wins the hotel room, Marchia suggests the decide via games, to which RenRen says '(Rido) he's bad at this game!' TakaChan reacts like 'eh?!??' but the audience's reaction was so perfect and well timed that it cracked him up laughing, and he had to hide behind the book he had in his hand for ages.

During the curtain call: the second time around, the director came out too and in a prince costume!!

I’m probably missing a crap ton of higawari’s and adlib.

Quite a bit of time has passed since I watched this and I have to say; surprisingly I think this is my favourite stage of the summer! Even now I’m like ‘damn that was funny! Man that was fun! I want to hear that song again! I hope they do a second stage’ etc and I am telling you know: I AM getting this god damn DVD! That is how much I ended up liking this stage! – I know! I’m surprised too!

“Aah~”

Chewing on the piece of cake you innocently plopped inside your mouth, you blinked as Floyd suddenly leaned towards you, opening his mouth in anticipation. You were clueless at what to do at first, Floyd definitely looked like he was expecting you to know so it got you sweating a little bit. However, as his body childish swung from side to side and multiple glances over to the cake you’re eating, you got a rough idea. Scooping out another piece, you gestured this one to him and allowed him to take the bite. “Here you go.” You said, lighting up as Floyd happily took it.

“So yummy~!” Floyd said with his mouth full, cream left on his cheek as he excitedly bounced in his seat. Seeing how much of a child your senior is, it made you smile in a way as he actually looks rather innocent to you right now. “I don’t know what you’re doing but for some reason, everything that Little Shrimpy feeds me tastes so much more delicious~!”

“How do you do that, Little Shrimpy~? Tell me, tell me~! Is it magic?” Floyd cooed, leaning closer to you and opening up his mouth again. “More, more~! Feed me more~!”

“I don’t think it’s magic though? I can’t even use that...” You sweatdropped but proceeded to feed the excited twin more pieces of cake, enjoying the way his cheeks would move as he chew. You have no clue what he was trying to imply but you decided to go along with him for now. You grabbed a tissue nearby and wiped away excess cream near his lips which earned you a boyish giggle from the guy.

Floyd seemed a bit more energetic than usual, probably because it’s his and his brother’s birthday. You find it really cute actually, he was usually the clingiest one out of the two but today, he just seem like he wanted to be spoiled rotten. Of course, you don’t really have the reason to deny that kind of request so you didn’t mind at all.

“Floyd, you shouldn’t casually cling onto (Y/N)-san like that...” A voice far calmer than Floyd’s rung in the room and looking up met you face to face with his brother, Jade. He was wearing the same outfit as him, signifying that this day is not only special for just one person. Despite having the same face, Jade was much more refined than his twin, his signature smile still painted a smile on his face as he stepped inside. “You’re going to bother her in this case.”

“Eeh~ Don’t be a killjoy, Jade! It’s fine, it’s fine~!” Floyd said as he suddenly wrapped his arms around you, startling you slightly to the point that you almost dropped the plate of cake you were holding. “Little Shrimpy looks like she’s having fun too though~”

“How about you try to acting a little carefree too, Jade~? It’s our birthday, after all~!” Floyd suggested, laughing as he nuzzled against you. “Little Shrimpy thinks so too, right~?”

“Of course! Jade-senpai should just relax on his special day too!” Jade could only blink at those words, seeing as you smiled at him. He looked to the side, placing his hand on his mouth as if he was thinking deeply. He watched as you plopped another piece of cake inside Floyd’s mouth, his brother looking so ecstatic during all of it that it startled Jade for a bit. His brother had never been this close to someone other than him and Azul before, let alone a mere human like you. So, suffice to say that he’s caught off-guard, he always thought Floyd was just playing with you.

“...Well then, if you don’t mind...” Jade said, a smile gracing his features as he gracefully sat beside you and Floyd, his posture fine and well-trained. Your mouth couldn’t help but to open, dumbfounded as the usually serious and cunning Jade Leech turned to you and closed his eyes before opening his mouth. The slight blush appearing on his cheeks was proof that he wasn’t used to such actions.

You blinked as your mind went blank for a second, but a sweat dropped down your forehead. This was kind of...You can’t find the right words to say but seeing Jade with his eyes close and mouth open, looking all vulnerable like this without instructing you on what to do, it made your heart race. He looked quite erotic too, not that you’ll ever say it out loud. Meanwhile, Floyd shifted beside you, pouting. “Eh, what are you doing, Jade? If you want Little Shrimpy to feed you, you gotta wait for your turn!” Floyd whined. “Get your own cake too!”

However, despite the constant whines of his brother, Jade remained his position, patiently waiting for your move which only irked his other half. Because of this, you couldn’t help but to giggle, lifting up another piece of cake towards him. “Here you go.” You said, the fork reaching inside his mouth, the sweet taste of the cake engulfed his taste buds.

The taste actually captured Jade off-guard, it still has the same flavor as the cake he had before but somehow, it felt special. Opening up his eyes and seeing your gentle smile directed at him was magically adding more spice to the food. Floyd was right, simple food does taste better when you’re the one who’s feeding it to him. What a mystery, you even had Jade this stumped about it.

“Eh!? Little Shrimpy, you traitor! That was supposed to be for me~!” Floyd whined louder as he began to shake your shoulders. “You’re already cheating on me, that’s so unfair! Little Shrimpy~!”

You nervously giggled at Floyd’s outburst, slowly becoming dizzy on the way he was racking your body. “S-Sorry, I’ll give the next bite to you, okay...?” You said, just to calm him down but was met with nothing but puffed cheeks as response from the guy. You resorted into patting his head as the final line of defense, luckily, Floyd accepted such gesture and nuzzled closer to you, muttering about stuff.

Covering his mouth as he chewed the sweet cake, Jade had turned his eyes on your every move. “...It’s delicious.” He said, making you turn your head towards him. “Can I please have more?”

“No-“

“Gladly!” You said, scooping another piece and before the whining eel on your shoulders could complain about it, Jade already went forward and bit the cake off the fork. You felt bad for betraying Floyd once again but Jade genuinely looked happy being fed like this. He was less messier than his brother but somehow, just at this moment, he carries the same childish energy around him. It was endearing and you couldn’t help it.

...But then again, you felt the hands around you tighten which sent shivers down your spine. “...Little Shrimpy, you’re such a liar.” You heard Floyd right at your ear, his voice sounding a little less enthusiastic and you knew from past experience that it’s never a good thing. He puffed his cheeks, scrunching his eyebrows down. “I can’t trust you anymore! Hmph!”

“E-Eh...Floyd-senpai...?” Though he said that and looked away from you, he never let go of your body. It’s funny actually, it seems like he wanted to sulk but his body is just refusing to leave from yours. Anyway, it’s not good to keep Floyd in this mood, so you tried to shift your attention back to him again. You gestured another piece of cake in his direction but the guy just refuses to look back at you, pouting all the way. You sweatdropped, this was definitely going to be a challenge. “H-Here you go, this one is for you, Floyd-senpai~! Aah~!”

Jade smiled at the sight of the stubborn pouting Floyd as he swallowed the cake he received. “(Y/N)-san, if Floyd doesn’t want it then, would it be fine if I could have it?” He said, his smile suddenly contorting into a mischievous smirk which immediately got on Floyd’s nerves. “He doesn’t seem to be in the mood so-“

“Who said I don’t want it!?” Floyd yelled as he aggressively mauled the piece of cake before you could even react. “Arr eath whafever Wittwe Sswiphy fhed mmhe! Ifh ghod!”

You sweatdropped. “I didn’t have a single clue on what you said but you might choke, so eat slowly, okay?” You nervously giggled, patting Floyd’s head, feeling his mood getting lighter with the way he nuzzled back onto you again.

Jade gave a chuckle as well before scooting closer to you. You glanced at what he was going to do, only for you and Floyd to flinch when he dropped his head onto your other shoulder. “...I can see why Floyd is always wrapping his arms around you.” He said, closing his eyes in relaxation as if he was just at a warm fireplace. He turned to look at you, in which induced a small blush on your cheeks, especially when he gave a gentle smile. “You’re very warm.”

Ah, what a different side to Jade that you have come to see this special day. He was someone you were unable to read from the very first day, the only times his true emotions let out is when it’s so blatantly obvious that he was going to commit yet under shady business. But this time, you saw another side to him, an unexpected gentleness residing in him. It was your first time seeing how vulnerable he is, chuckling by your shoulders like this.

Dare you say that it was actually cute.

“What are you doing, Jade!? This is my spot, you know~!” Floyd puffed his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around your neck, almost to the point of strangling you. “Let go of my Little Shrimpy~”

Jade merely smiled as calmly as ever. “No, I don’t think I want to.” He said and wrapped his arms around your waist as tight as the arms around your neck. “You were the one who said that I should act all carefree just for this day, correct?”

Jade gave him the smuggiest smirk he could give, making his brother growl in response. “So, there’s no harm in having (Y/N)-san to spoil me a little too, right?” He said, tilting his head to the side with a close-eyed smile.

“U-Um...I-I’m kinda getting...” Ah, that’s no use. These twins are definitely in their own little world now, you know them well enough to know that it’s always been like that. The hands on your neck and waist are pulling you on two different directions, you actually feel like you gonna dislocate a bone or two. But ignoring these two’s silly little feud, they genuinely feel a lot more livelier than before and that’s the good thing. Knowing that knowledge alone, you were glad despite how suffocating it felt on your physical body.

Putting the plate of cake down on your lap, you pat the twins’ head, letting them off their steam. Honestly, it was the only gesture you could do without the risk of breaking apart in two. You kinda feel like a mother of two rebellious but lovable children, it’s troublesome but the outcome is just worth the risk. You just hope Azul wouldn’t be too surprise when he opens the door and finds these two eels exceeding over a hundred and ninety centimeter in height crushing on your poor little body. Three bodies are a bit of handful right now.
