With several kids Zeus has had, how would you rank them from most to least favourite story-wise? ₍ᐢ. ̫.ᐢ₎

i know damn well you didn't just ask me one of the most impossible questions to answer because that man has more kids than some pantheons have gods. HJBERFBEJRF so for simplicity's sake, I'll only talk about his Olympian/Godly children! if you want his demigod kids, i can rank them in a separate asks (because I do want to go to sleep at some point)

Athena - Ares - Artemis - Dionysus - Apollo - Hermes - Eileithiya - Hebe.

however if you want to consider Hephaestus and Aphrodite as Zeus' children then this is the list:

Athena - Ares - Aphrodite - Artemis - Dionysus - Hephaestus - Apollo - Hermes - Eileithiya - Hebe.

personally i'm into the myths where Aphrodite was created by Uranus' castrated schlong that fell into the ocean and Hephaestus is a creation of Hera who tries to conceive a baby by herself without Zeus' help.

the reason why I love Athena is because of her origin myth. Originally before Hera, Zeus was married to Metis - who helped lead the charge with Zeus during the Titanomachy against Zeus' tyrannical father, Kronos and the Titans. However, when Metis was pregnant, Zeus was told of a prophecy that if Metis gave birth to a boy, the boy would overthrow Zeus. Zeus, following in his father's footsteps, tricked pregnant Metis to transform into a fly and ate her to stop her from giving birth to a boy. However, Metis gave birth anyways and one day, Zeus got a terrible headache and his head was split open to reveal the fully grown goddess Athena who introduced herself as Zeus' daughter. I dont know, to me its just so fascinating to me that on top of being Zeus' favourite daughter, Athena technically HAS the birthright to inherit the throne of the gods because of the prophecy. However, the only issue is that she's not a boy. This is why I feel so drawn towards Athena, because every single thing about her points towards her being the best heir to the Throne, its just that this is not reachable for her because she's a not a boy.

As for Hebe, she's the goddess of youth and the child of Zeus and Hera. There's nothing wrong with her! I think she's very beautiful and lovely, on top of that she's the wife of Heracles. But in terms of story, she doesn't really stand out and there's not much beyond these two facts about her. I would change my mind if I come across more stories about her but right now she sits at the lowest spot on the list!

i can be missing some because i forgot all of the godly children that Zeus may had. but so far these are the ones I can think up from the top of my head! some bonus doodles as thank you for these questions wool ehehe
