approx 105m/46g of airy smooshy chain-plied yarn.
quick spin, probably a hat since merino ain't shit for gloves (it cannot take wear and tear worth a damn, guys), and it's only ~50g.

Yarn spinners of tumblr hear my plea
Does anyone have any opinions on the Electric Eel 6.1 Spinning Wheel?
I鈥檝e been wanting to try wheel spinning for a long time and I鈥檝e been debating between it and the Louet S17 Spinning Wheel, however, I鈥檓 an apartment dweller who doesn鈥檛 like making big purchases.
I鈥檝e been balancing the pros and cons between the two and I think I might go for the EEW 6.1 since it would fit best for my living arrangements, comes with the accessories I want (with the exception of a lazy kate but I can make one of those), and is cheaper.
Do you have experience using an electric wheel? How does it compare to traditional wheels? Does it secretly suck super hard and I should stick with drop spindles? Should I build my way up to buying a wheel and invest in other fiber prep tools first?

hello there! you were waiting on a package pickup and I鈥檓 waiting on coffee and wandering here to say hi! how鈥檚 your weekend going? what kind of projects and tiny delights and sunny ideas and recipes are swimming around your head? indulge me in anything and everything :)
it's been ages! my 12 boxes of documents got picked up 3 minutes before i was supposed to leave work, so UPS kept me guessing until the very end.
your ask (and my current weaving mishap) gave me the impetus i needed to document some recent projects that i'm really happy with.
first up, my first yarn spun on an e-spinner (EEW 6.1), which is about 530 yards/4 oz of high-twist targhee, for some soft little socks. we'll see how they wear...
and here's my brown/rainbow cardigan. i have no idea how to capture the optical mixing effect, but i've been assured that it works irl. still needs buttons, but that can wait until autumn.
other small delights include:
thrifted a pair of baby blue leather sneakers
have some time off work, during which i will probably do some crafts, polish my silver, read a book, wipe down my baseboards, and eat so much fresh fruit
my extremely tangled weaving warp due to multiple errors compounding is slowly being untangled and i haven't even cried once
soy-marinated eggs
i think i finally found the right pale peachy pink weft yarn
outdoor swimming soon!
