New Black on Black Livery for the Panigale V2
New Black on Black Livery for the Panigale V2: when boldness meets performance. A refined combination of sportiness and elegance, the Panigale V2 moto compact transmits power at first sight. The super sports bike from Borgo Panigale is ready to give track riding enthusiasts unique emotions, thanks to its high performance, the result of intense research by Ducati technicians. The Panigale V2, characterised by compact and muscular lines, is equipped with sophisticated electronics, designed to let the rider exploit its performance in total safety. The true sports bike DNA is also confirmed by the new standard Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres.
For 2024, Ducati updates the colour range of the Panigale V2 with a new Black on Black Livery, which accompanies the classic Ducati Red. The new livery enhances the bold character of the Panigale V2. The predominance of dark matt grey is intercut with the presence of glossy black elements, for a refined final combination. The livery is completed by the Panigale V2 logo and the red details on the tank, fairings and wheels. Another new feature introduced by the Black on Black Livery is the saddle, with renewed graphics and materials. The Panigale V2 is a muscular but compact bike, with essential design and decisive profiles which transmit power without losing the typical elegance of Ducati sports bikes. The surfaces of the bike, tailored around the Monocoque frame, highlight the shapes of the Superquadro twin-cylinder, while the front is dominated by the two air intakes that integrate the full-LED headlamp. The "double layer" fairing - which sees a main fairing extending upwards to ideally embrace the tank and a secondary one with the function of an air extractor - offers the typical essentiality of Ducati sports bikes, emphasising elegance and uniqueness.
A sporty style that integrates fully with the power expressed by the Panigale V2 engine, the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder. Euro 5 approved, the Superquadro is as enjoyable to ride on the road as it is powerful and responsive on the track, with its 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a torque value of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Safety and total bike control are always guaranteed by the electronic equipment of the Panigale V2, based on the use of the 6-axis inertial platform. The electronic package includes ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2 and finally Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, which helps the rider to optimise the stability of his or her Ducati in extreme cornering conditions. Together with the celebratory Panigale V2 Bayliss, the Panigale V2 is the only twin-cylinder in Ducati's Panigale range. Every Ducatista can make their Panigale V2 unique thanks to a wide range of accessories in the "Configurator" section  of the Ducati.com website, where all the components of the Sport package are available, designed to enhance the racing spirit of the bike. An entire line of Ducati's 2023 apparel collection is dedicated to the rider, including the Ducati Corse C6 suit and the top-of-the-range Ducati Corse V6 helmet among the new models, all available on the shop Shop.Ducati.com website.
The Panigale V2 is the protagonist of the DRE Racetrack Academy, which allows you to experience all the thrills of track riding, and of the DRE Track Warm Up Academy, the new-for-2023 course of the Ducati Academy dedicated to all amateur motorcyclists who want to learn the basics for the right approach to circuit riding. Probably one of my favourite images Iâve captured this year with the team. Qualifying for the super stock 1000 class at Knockhill. A lot of us can remember those key moments that hooked us into the scene. Yeah some of you were born into it, and itâs always been a family affair. But there are still those moments. Maybe when dad finally hit the ignition, after what seemed like an eternity of silence in the garage⌠and the roar shocked your heart, shook the walls, and brought neighbors out. For others, it may have been a glimpse out the back window of momâs minivan, where some tuner absolutely ripped it off a light or through a tunnel.Â
See, in those days when we were younger, we were intrigued & amazed when we saw something different. We didnât scrutinize it or criticize it⌠we just absorbed it & delighted in it. We need to hold onto that. Because it wasnât like like today, where keyboard-punching weenies take joy, rather than make joy. We all see it, and itâs submitting our scene to limitations that are polar opposite of what it was built on. Cameron Dawkins, owner of this Genesis Coupe, read all the comments, and fought back with the same attitude as our hot-rodding ancestors⌠Get out of here, kid. You got no future.
Cameronâs Genesis started much like any enthusiast noob; short ram, plasti-dip, and long nights on eBay. Sound familiar? And much like anything in Florida, the Genesis motor got too hot too fast and melted. Still under warranty, he got the engine replaced. But not another year later, Dawkins was having fun in true import fashion, when again he fried the block.
At this point, he saw three options: 1) F*ck the lemons and bail. 2) Replace the motor yet again. 3) Swap the motor with something hot.Â
Sure â the LS swap is more common than a teenager texting. But keep in mind⌠itâs only common within a minority group of people. Meaning â you and all your dweeby friends know about it⌠but itâs not common-talk amongst your sister and her friends, or your mom & her book club, or your neighbors and their yard sale customers. Get it?Â
Nevertheless â Cameron took a lot of shit from all different corners of the car scene. He got the KDM community asking, âWhy you put LS in Geny Coupe?!âÂ
And the rest of the scene asking, âWhy you mod Hyundai so much?âÂ
Heâs in the grey area. Not import enough for the import crowd. And not powerful enough for the power thirsty. Thereâs a point of maturity/clarity we can reach in circumstances like this. Where weâre not affected by anything or anyone. Cameron hit that point 2 years ago when he decided to swap the LS1.
Much like anyoneâs first big swap, it was no cake walk: and Cameron was learning as he went. With the Fuel Tech management system, he needed to get rid of his sweet drive-by-cable and find a drive-by-wire throttle body.Â
Using a Corvette throttle body fulfilled the requirements, but then Dawkins ran into the next issue of needing an adapter to make that work.Â
The Enjuku swap kit wasnât working well with the clutch master. Through community support he found that he needed a clutch master adapter.Â
Additionally, Cameron was having issues with the shifter relocation for the T56 transmission, forums revealed he needed to notch and grind the shifter plate.Â
And here was that time when his main engine fuse box caught fire, because the headers were too close.
Little bumps can add up quick & can discourage a build. But when Cameron lost his own motivation, by George he found it in others. See â turns out he wasnât alone. As Babe Ruth apparently said, âThe loudest boos come from the cheapest seats.â But since Cameron was able to separate himself from the noise, behold he found a few people from various corners of the scene were willing to lend hands. LS guys who just wanted to help him release the eagles from under his Korean hood. Genesis guys who wanted to see success & smiles. Much respect to these little lights that shine amongst us.Â
As for its current state, Cameron loves all the different reactions he gets. Itâs hard not to smirk at the color shifting paint job. The Art In Motion MA5 wheels chop through your vision under the sun. Every exaggerated curve on this thing makes your eyes dance. And that surprise growl of that LS1 V8 is just salt on the glass. You can hate if thatâs your thing. You can put this guyâs car down, just to build your own ego up. But you got no future kid.Â

Incredible Gemini Models Set For London Motorcycle Show Launch
The eagerly awaited Gemini Indianapolis and Naked machines will be unveiled by ABM (Associated British Motorcycles) this week, to press and public, at the capitalâs biggest biking event; the Carole Nash London Motorcycle Show.
Designed and engineered by ABM sister company; renowned engine and chassis specialists T3 Performance, these stunning machines feature the best in British engineering and high-end components to achieve two unique styles. Both machines have undergone significant modifications to the original Speed Triple 1050 donor engines, giving them an impressive 160bhp (at the rear wheel) coupled with 90 ft-lb of torque, supplying strong tractable power delivery.
Tailor made to the bespoke requirements of each individual customer, these limited run machines (50 of each) are numbered and dated, with every build catalogued in a beautifully printed hard back documentary book, signed by its engineer.
Based on the stand of long-time T3 partner Ace CafĂŠ (Stand CU50) in the Classic and Cafe Racer Zone, the pair will undoubtedly draw considerable attention with their futuristic looks.
The Gemini Naked takes the âCafĂŠ Racerâ theme but gives it Superbike levels of power and handling. Retaining the unique black Street Triple frame rails, it follows aggressive yet flowing lines for its minimalist carbon fibre bodywork, matched with black Dymag Carbon wheels. Race spec billet machined Ăhlins Road and Track Forks and a 5-way adjustable rear Maxton shock give the machine the tools for sublime handling, to back up its incredible looks. Keyless ignition and state of the art brakes from British manufacturer HEL Performance & EBC complete the latest equipment that befits its status.
The Indianapolis shares all the key high-end components of the Naked but has a style all of its own, inspired by the fearless US flat trackers. Pulled back bars, an aggressive number board styled front light and Kineo (tubeless) spoked wheels really give this machine the âwowâ factor!
With colourways, suspension and component details tailor made for each customer, ABM has the ambition of bridging the gap between custom bike builders and mainstream manufacturers; giving the genuine individuality, exclusivity and buying experience of a âcustomâ but with a level of technical back-up and aftermarket service above and beyond that of a franchised dealer.
ABM can supply their Gemini Twins as complete bespoke motorcycles or utilise customers donor machines if available.
Sister company T3 Performance have a long and successful racing heritage and in 2019 will be again running a serious GP2 effort within the British Supersport Championship, using their own special one-off chassis.
Tony Scott, founder of Associated British Motorcycles said, âWe have been making custom and one-off bespoke motorcycles under the banner of T3 since 2010, firstly with the acclaimed Ace Thruxton 904S and then our M2-11 GP2 project. Our recent breakaway from long term commitments has now allowed us to re-direct the business over to our long-term ambition of making our own motorcycles.
The Gemini Twins suit our entry in to the market place perfectly, they are British, they are inspired and they are edgy, creating a great buying opportunity for those looking for something very special, as well as those who are on a more limited budget but would like to add a great, new-look to a motorcycle they already own.â Industry News Gallery
