just remembered one time this summer when i got super paranoid and thought i was going to die in my sleep for no real reason so i thought i have to distract myself from this and i looked up just 'tier list' on youtube and clicked on the most absurd title i could find quickly and there was one for emergency broadcast systems alarms across the world and the japanese one made me laugh so hard ifelt ok again

I don't think we talk enough about how a few years ago the state of Hawaii lived through the first 15 minutes of World War 3 when someone accidentally activated the emergency alert system for a nuclear strike.

How many bad decisions do you think must have been made in that time? Cars trashing stuff as people flee to safety, awkward confessions, regrettable sexual encounters.

Maybe I'm making some assumptions about how people behave in that scenario, but I just figured we'd hear about more (heh) fallout from an event like this.

Why is that some country's EAS alarms are like "sorry to bother you, but you're about to die and should evacuate. Again, sorry for the interruption. Please have a good day" and then other EAS alarms are like "You are already dead. There is no sleep when the rapture is on its way. Tell your family you love them and pray that any God let's you into heaven"

anyone else with a psychosis related illness find EAS alarms or the sounds ambulances make fucking terrifying? i have delusions that the world is ending and everyone is going to die and if I hear these alarms the episodes get triggered and i get so fucking scared and start crying on the spot
