Randomised Gaming talks about the gameplay and design of E.X. Troopers the Japanese only, Lost Planet series spin off. Is it worth importing and how does it compare with the rest of the Lost Planet series. E.X. Troopers is a story driven, third person shooter.

For this third episode Random Gamer Riven talks about his experience with the PlayStation 3 version of E.X. Troopers. Note we had planned to include the opening intro, but as is the case with most JPOP music, the content id blocked the video in a number of regions.

Not discussed in the video but the game runs at around 30fps in the 3D environments, menus run at 60fps. Performance does dip during some battles however to around the 20fps mark.

E.X. Troopers is available in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS. The PlayStation 3 version shown here is Region Free and works on any PlayStation 3 unit. The Nintendo 3DS version is region locked and required a Japanese Nintendo 3DS to play.
