Goddamn, the things this Dylan O'Brien would have done to tumblr a few years ago. My brain cant even comprehend at which point of time we have arrived - him wearing something like this and tumblr only mildly amused instead of completly broken down. Time sure is something.

As a follow up for the NY fanfic ask, would you ever do a genderbent teenwolf fic? Either like alwaysagirl!Stiles and Canon Peter/Chris/Deucalion etc or the other way around or like both girls? Or really any kind of gender variation, like trans or non binary takes on characters; for example trans!Stiles (preferably without overt [or even better without any] transphobia)? Thankyou ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗

Okay so, funny thing happened: Usually I am very against genderbending, even more discouraged by live action shows because with cartoons I can apply my imagination to how they'd look genderbent but if there is a Real Actual Person attached to the role, that's... the face I see when I think of the character. And then someone posted images in the TW server I'm in of Dylan O'Brien genderbent and holy fucking hell she is the perfect woman. I have been obsessed with that visual ever since and am tempted to write about girl!Stiles solely based on how hot girl!Dylan looked.

But I fully refuse straightbending queer ships. I'm too old for that, I still remember the Dark Times where genderbending indeed did solely happen for homophobic reasons and authors would even leave shit in their A/Ns on how this ship would be "so good if it wasn't gay". I'm getting war flashbacks from straightbent queer ships.

So I will need someone to supply me with how hot Ian or JR (or both) would look as women and I may be persuaded into giving you some lesbian Steter/Stargent/Stetopher (there is the additional name layer too; Stiles can just be Stiles as a girl, Peter and Petra are so impossibly close and Chris gets to also work as a woman's name. Absolutely loathe when genderbending comes with Weird Fully Unrelated Name).

I doubt trans!Stiles is something that'll ever happen from me. I mostly write to uuuh self-project, which is the sexuality angle (and, with Stiles, the ADHD angle. Which is why I latched onto him so hard this time around, tbh). But these are experiences and feelings that I personally don't relate to, or see myself in, so I'm not really likely of having trans headcanons for my main projecting-onto-character, because it'll leave me writing about something I'm personally wholly out of depth with in a setting that's supposed to be all self-indulgent, you know?
