Lack of character customisation optionsĭungeon Hunter: Alliance may feel a little light to begin with, but a few hours down the line, and you may find yourself engulfed in the deepest RPG the PlayStation Network has to offer.Clumsy loot system and other minor online faults.Plenty of content for the given price tag.The gallery of sound effects are just as impressive, with a moody soundtrack which fits nicely. The lack of initial character customisation is a little disappointing but the wealth of appearance options available later on more than make up for it. Another frequent issue is the online lobby itself rooms which are fully reserved will still appear on the list, and the transition between menus is sluggish.įor a dungeon crawler, Alliance hosts a splendid palette of diverse, vibrantly-coloured locations, from poisonous, infested sewers, to cloudy mountaintops and beyond. No matter what the item is, it will be randomly assigned to a specific player who is the only one allowed to pick it up, unless they decide to trade it (a negotiation hard to pull-off while in mid-game.) This results in characters picking items which they are clearly not compatible with (warriors with robes, rogues with great-axes, mages with chainmail,) leading to bouts of frustration. Although loot is dished out evenly to each character, the distribution method isn’t very intelligent. Players also have the ability to chat and trade items but the online component isn’t without its hitches. Though the gameplay remains unchanged, the added tactical element of working as a team really shines through, the three classes complimenting each-other soundly. No matter where you are in the game, other players can drop in and out with the press of a button, also made easy for online strangers via the game’s simple matchmaking system. The deepest RPG the PlayStation Network has to offerĪlliance’s most defining feature is its multiplayer component which hosts up to four characters both online and locally. Though it’s prone to a few hiccups here and there (accidentally tilting the controller will force you to switch your equipment, for instance) it’s a refreshing way to play the game, and if there is a Dualshock shortage in your home, it means more players can get involved. Unlike most motion-compatible games of a similar structure, Alliance only requires a single controller, without the need for an additional “Nav.” A cursor will appear on-screen to direct the character and will also be used to direct attacks and abilities. Like Modern Combat: Domination, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is playable via both the Dualshock 3 and PlayStation Move. To spice the gameplay up somewhat, there are also special attacks with a sixty-second cool-down as well as a gear-switching mechanic, allowing the player to swap between one set of equipment to another in a split second. Aside from a basic attack, up to three abilities can be stored using the remaining face buttons, making the game easily accessible, yet diverse enough to prevent monotony from kicking in. Without any sort of combo system or block/dodge mechanic, combat never feels as engaging as it should be for a console RPG. The actual gameplay itself is Dungeon Hunter’s most divisive element.

Silent Hill: Book of Memories - Worth Re-visiting?
As a fan of the Silent Hill franchise, I was intrigued when I first heard about Silent Hill: Book of Memories. I was curious to see how the series would adapt to the dungeon-crawling gameplay style. And I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Silent Hill: Book of Memories features a dungeon-crawling gameplay style, where players navigate through procedurally generated levels, fighting off…

dethklok plays WoW
Nathan - main tank. Horde of course. Probably orc. His only toon. Absolutely a blood death knight both for aesthetic and because you know he's pulling top dps in addition to holding agg on everything in the room. Guild leader, does not take his title seriously but will still kick your ass if you bail on raid night. likes pvp but prefers pve
Pickles - plays mostly trolls, has 2 or 3 toons, probably also has an ugly forsaken and an ugly goblin (although goblin is a later race so depends on the year). Cat druid, often forced to spec into healing because mythic dungeons are only 5 man. But prefers to be cat or combat rogue. Incredible dps when he's allowed to do dps. not nurturing at all as a healer, WILL let you die if you piss him off (unless you're Nathan, but Nathan never dies). loves both pvp and pve but gets super steamed during pvp
Skwisgaar - paladin paladin paladin. Belf, of course. has secret female alts as well as secret ally alts. constantly adding his girlfriends to the guild and taking shit from the bank without asking. But he doesn't get in trouble because his dps is second to none - topping the charts even over Nathan. Ret pally, could technically heal with holy but his dps is just so insane that they can't afford to have him healing. pvp is beneath him
Toki - altaholic. Lots of female toons, lots of ally toons, gets bullied for both. Really wants to main a hunter so he can have a bunch of cute animal companions (and because it would be easier dps) but the others say that's gay so his main is a frost DK. the others make him spec into unholy because his crowd control brings clusters together so that Skwis and Nathan can wipe them out. So, so fucking angry that he never gets to do any actual dps because his plagues never get the chance to stack - and despite knowing it's a DOT issue the others clown on him for being the absolute bottom of the dps chart. pvp is too hard for him, no one protects him and everyone picks on him
Murderface - orc arms warrior and tauren fury warrior, dps but mostly off tank. makes cringe jokes (abt both native americans and milking) if tauren. One secret ally toon (human no less), also a warrior, that he uses to /walk around stormwind and RP badly. constantly brags about his dps but he's actually garbage, only above toki. makes a big deal out of his rank in the guild but he actually has no bank privileges. loves self harm through pvp
Charles - undead disc priest. a few alts, equal numbers male and female but almost all undead. probably a GM. heals when pickles is on dps and there's room or in a raid setting. guild treasurer, full bank permissions, has to constantly police the boys and spends thankless hours filling the bank back up with pots, food, etc. Also in charge of recruiting, so he should just be guild lead at this point but he dutifully never complains :) plays an affliction warlock and a couple rogues (combat and assassination) on a different server, when the boys give him one free fucking moment to do his own thing
Magnus - used to be a super powerful destro warlock that matched skwisgaar in dps. was super involved in the guild, help build it into what it was, contributed lots of materials, consumables, and money to the bank. Recruited some of their best players. after a horrific falling out (he was the asshole in the situation; controlling, etc) he was kicked from the guild and replaced. has since (due to wotlk) abandoned his warlock for a death knight. now he has a forever grudge and badmouths dethklok any chance he gets, but the majority of the server knows he's the drama so he has trouble finding others to play with. because of this he's been forced to switch over to alliance side. hence he falls in with...
MMA & the revengencers: MMA is yet another DK, probably blood, guild lead of the revengencers - rival guild to dethklok, constantly butting heads with them in pvp, ganking their low level members/alts, just generally being a nuisance. MMA wants revenge for Nathan (with the help of GM charles) getting his OG account banned
Edgar - human arcane mage main ("actually, the rotation is quite simple"). has lots of female alts. treasurer of the revengencers, takes everything way way way too seriously. Definitely works for blizzard or is a GM. very tense, sometimes outright hostile, relationship with Charles despite being essentially coworkers. "umm you sir have won the internet" "updoot" guy in chat. full collection of mounts, even the rare and/or limited edition ones

-aggressively sips orange juice-
So! What happens when you take an Edgy That Guy and ascend him into Godhood?
You get Shevarash, the elven god of revenge, loss, and hating drow.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: This dude needed therapy, not godhood. Fenmarel, for some reason, decided that it would be a good idea to help the most Anti-Drow elf to ever exist to become a god and it is because of this mindset that Shevarash has very few allies. He is so fucking focused on his tireless and unending crusade on the drow that only like-minded individuals will put up with him, such as Psilofyr and Callarduran Smoothhands.
Because let's be real: this man lives and breathes hatred. That is all he is now. Whoever he was before he became this person, this hunter obsessed with eliminating the drow is gone, destroyed during what is called the Dark Court Slaughter.
For those who are not familiar with this event in FR history or don't know what it is, the Dark Court Slaughter was an event that took place on Midwinter's Night in -4400 DR. It was the longest, darkest night of the year and an army consisting of Drow and Duergar swarmed out of the Underdark; the army overran both the dwarven realm of Sarphil on the southern shore of the Moonsea and the Elven Court at the heart of the great forest of Arocar. Countless lives of elves and dwarves were claimed that night, including most of the assembled leaders of the Fair Folk and the Stout Folk who had come to court to reestablish their long-standing alliance.
Among the few survivors was Shevarash but among the dead was his family. With grief and anger in his heart, Shevarash swore an oath to Corellon to become the hand of the Seldarine against drow to seek vengeance for the loss of his family.
Tumblr media
(Demihuman Deities, p. 157)
And that is how Shevarash, likely once as carefree as most elves, became an agent of revenge. It's an oath he kept too. I would say that he became the greatest enemy the drow had because he was, for the remainder of his mortal life, relentless in his pursuit of the drow. He raided their underground cities, destroyed their shrines dedicated to their gods, and slew their priests.
However, Shevarash stories ends like many stories of revenge: his death. Shevarash was slain by a horde of myrlochar (soul spiders) after killing High Priestess Darthiir'eigg Aleanrahel and six of her consorts circa -4070 DR — 330 years after the Dark Court Slaughter. So ended the mortal life of Shevarash the Black Archer
But then Fenmarel decided to help him achieve godhood. Now Shevarash is the Night Hunter and Arrow Bringer. Fun fact: Corellon is the one who determines whether or not someone can join the pantheon, soooo they absolutely okayed Fenmarel's decision to help Shevarash undergo apotheosis. They okayed the most Anti-Drow elf to ever exist...becoming a deity.
Despite the fact that Corellon has TWO dark elf children (three if we count Vandria) and one of them is supposedly the favorite child (Eilistraee) because here's the thing: Shevarash (in his mortal life) hunted all drow, not just Lolthite drow — though Lolthites were his primary target. It didn't matter if you were Lolthite, Vhaeraunite, Eilistraean, Kiaransaleen, whatever — if you were drow, then you were his enemy. However, that changed once he became a demigod.
Tumblr media
(Grand History of the Realms (2007), p. 27)
Yes. Eilistraee and her worshippers at one time, pre-godhood, were among Shevarash's targets. Demihunam Deities even states that it was only until recently (full disclosure: DD is a 2e Advanced Dungeons & Dragons accessory for the Forgotten Realms so by recently I'm guessing it's referring to 1370-1371. Either that or the late 1360s) that she managed to work out an some kind of truce with this guy.
Tumblr media
(Demihuman Deities, p. 11)
An uneasy truce. Uneasy truces are typically truces that will only last a certain albeit unknown amount of time and given this is the Seldarine and fucking Shevarash — it likely would not take much to break this truce.
Not surprising given that Shevarash is not only the most Anti-Drow Elf to ever elf, but he also did hunt Eilistraee's followers in the past likely during his mortal life) — which, as Grand History of the Realms points out, is something he no longer does as he no longer considers Eilistraee and Eilistraeans to be among his prey (likely due to the fact that once he ascended he became aware that Eilistraee is nothing like her mother and brother). So both sides are likely tense from this history and while she may not be counted among his 'prey' anymore, that does not mean he likes her or even that she likes him.
They, at best, tolerate each other from what I can tell.
(not even gonna lie. I would not at all be surprised to learn if Shevarashans are still terrorizing Eilistraeans in some capacity despite this uneasy truce)
Is this truce still a thing in the current edition? I don't know because I don't where Shevarash and Eilistraee officially stand in the new edition in relation to each other. I can't tell you whether or not that truce is still on-going. It'll have to be up to individual interpretation.
My personal belief / interpretation is that this uneasy truce is likely fractured, perhaps severely so. With the return of the Dark Dancer and her brother, Eilistraee and Vhaeraun have achieved a new understanding of each other — as a result, they have a friendship and a truce (though their followers still get into conflict from time to time. Understandable, a long history of both sides hating each other and fighting each other isn't going to go away in a single night). Which is a problem for Shevarash because even though Lolth and her followers are still Shevarash's number one target, the rest of the Dark Seldarine (sans Eilistraee) is still very much his enemy. Vhaeraun is still his enemy. Shevarash's followers still hunt down Vhaeraunites. Shevarash, as mentioned in the screenshot I shared from p. 27 of the Grand History of the Realms, is now more able to hunt Lolth and Vhaeraun directly thanks to his becoming a demigod.
I can't see Shevarash at all accepting Eilistraee's newfound friendship with her brother due to his history with the drow and his mission. Eilistraee, for her part with this new friendship and truce, I think would protest against Shevarash still hunting her divine twin and his followers. Given what I know of Shevarash, I do not think he would see this as anything other than an incentive to return to crusading against Eilistraee as well. He is a very angry deity, consumed by hatred — he's not going to look at the nuance at the situation. Likely, he'll read this as Eilistraee as turning traitor, becoming corrupted, etc. etc. Because to him...drow are bad. It doesn't matter who they worship, in his eyes drow are bad. For Shevarash, there is no nuance. It's black and white, as clear to him as night and day.
He might tolerate the drow worship Eilistraee and he might tolerate Eilistraee herself...but that means nothing when he will eventually resume being hostile toward Eilistraee. And he will. It's not a matter of if, but when and it won't take much. Will he resume hunting her? Possibly, especially if she decides to break ties with the Seldarine.
I did have a section written up about the elven group who are disguising themselves as drow and raiding surface settlements (thank you lawful-evil-novelist for that bit of lore!). but upon further reading, I learned Champions of Ruins doesn't, unfortunately, definitively state that the group is Shevarashans. Only that they're a very anti-human group called the Eldreth Veluuthra, who are conducting these raids in hopes of increasing hostilities between humans and drow. The book further states that even though they worship the Seldarine, the good-aligned deities of the pantheon want nothing to do with them so as a result no cleric of the good-aligned elven gods are part of the group.
So it's up in the air if these particular EV raiders are Shevarashans (his alignment is listed as chaotic neutral; it's possible he didn't write them off completely unlike his good-aligned peers) or not.

SAMURAI PHANTOM FALLS AU HCS
Tumblr media
These HCs are from Ford for the AU I've put together with @sonxflight/@plxsmius. Jack, Maddie, and Ford are all characters from this blog and this is an AU folks can interact with or join if they so desire. I tend to shorthand the AU to 'Phantom Falls' for goofy alliteration reasons.
It plays around with a bit of lore within Gravity Falls and Danny Phantom, but things are relatively the same with the exception of how close the Pines and Fenton families are. Mabel may occasionally appear as well to interact in this AU, where she's a ghost hunter in training.
Tumblr media
[ + ] Ford went to college with Jack, Maddie, Vlad, and their pal Ryou [@plxsmius/@sonxflight] the group were extremely close and often played Dungeons, Dungeons, & more Dungeons together.
[ + ] Ford made amends with his brother following Vlad's accident-- and worked with him to rescue the man.
[ + ] He still very much went through all that Bill Cipher BS-- had a fight with Stan, which resulted in him being sent across dimensions. However, instead of being gone for thirty years, he was only trapped for ten before being rescued by his friends.
[ + ] Ford was rescued when he found himself in the Ghost Zone. He wandered into Vlad's territory and was brought back home through Vlad's portal. Unfortunately, exposure to various dimensions had aged Ford nearly thirty years.
[ + ] Ford is the godfather of Maddie and Danny-- and cares for them deeply. In this AU, Dipper and Mabel are a year younger than Danny, having turned thirteen. They occasionally visit Amity Park.
[ + ] Stan still runs the Mystery Shack in Gravity Falls, and Ford lives with his husband Ryou in Amity Park. Occasionally they can be seen hanging with Vlad, as the trio are a bit of a throuple.
[ + ] Ford has no idea Danny is a ghost-- he knows Vlad's one as he found this out in college and promised to keep it a secret [which he has] for years. Ford often helps the Fentons invent new ghost catching tech, and even prevents most of the troubles Jack faces with his inventions breaking or turning on him.
[ + ] Despite being physically in his 60's, Ford is actually in his late 30s. He aged during his travels and due to exposure to the Ghost Zone for an extended period of time.
[ + ] Bill is still very much a threat. Thankfully-- Ford has a metal plate in his head rendering him immune to any and all mind control, even the ghostly variety [he was one of very few adults entirely unphased by Ember's music]. Bill has made tenuous alliances with some specters in order to get back at Ford.

i know the big bang theory isn't made for geeks and most of the scientific information presented in the show is incorrect but the big one that really prodded my gallbladder until bile ejected itself forcefully and violently from the nostrils is the episode where they're playing world of warcraft. as a wow player of 16 years, here's everything wrong below the readmore. idc if this gets notes im autistic and needed to vomit this out of my brain.
howard (i think) is lured by a troll woman under a bridge and gets mugged for all his gold. due to the language barriers in-game, this would be inter-faction PvP which can only happen by accepting a duel. also, players cannot be looted when they die. you can't even die in a duel. this shakily implies that he traded her all his gold, then followed her to a bridge and got ganked. if that is the case, he would be an alliance player with pvp flagging on. also, alliance can't trade with or speak with horde. (unless he was playing a demon hunter, in which case the troll would also have to be a demon hunter, and trolls cannot be demon hunters.)
raj says he's talking to an orc under a bridge in thunder bluff. the bridges in thunder bluff do not have ground beneath them. if you're "under a bridge in thunder bluff", you're about 50 feet beneath thunder bluff, in mulgore.
sheldon mourns the loss of his "battle ostrich" named "glen", implying that his level 85 blood elf was a hunter, and had a pet ostrich. these don't exist in the game. pets cannot be stolen, either.
howard says he found a tavern where black market weapon trades happen. the black market is a real thing, but it's never in any taverns. also, weapons that can be traded can just be put on the auction house. meeting someone in a tavern to give them the gold for a weapon is just way more difficult for everyone involved for no reason?
raj says other players are undressing his (female) character with their eyes, and howard tells him to stop dropping her sword and bending over to pick it up. if you "drop" (i.e., trail the weapon off your character screen and into the world) your weapon, you'd be asked if you're sure you want to delete it, and then it gets deleted. /bend isn't even an emote. raj also says he'll have sex with the goblin that raided sheldon's account. this is also something you cannot do. again, goblins are a horde race, and it seems they play horde. a goblin can't kill you if you're both players in the horde.
the main four arrive at "the gates of elzebub". not a place.
leonard tells everyone not to panic as this is what the last 97 hours of gameplay have been about. it takes 10 minutes maximum to travel anywhere in the game. unless he's referring to raid prep time. if this is the case, they would be wiped instantly. 4 players isn't enough for one dungeon, let alone a raid. also, you'd need to be really sucky at farming for potions, gems, vantus runes etc., if it takes you four days to prep. i raided with a high tier mythic guild EU and i prepped for like half an hour every raid night?
howard says a horde of goblins are guarding the sword of azeroth. weapon doesn't exist. virtually all goblins in the game are neutral and only attack you if you attack them. (venture co. and horde guards upon aggroing to an alliance player being notable exceptions.)
howard tells raj to "blow up the gates". nowhere in the game requires you to blow up gates to gain access, except uldum. raj then presses CTRL + Shift + B to cast whatever his gate blowing up spell (doesn't exist) is. not saying you can't do this, but STRL + Shift + B is such an awkward and clunky keybind. you'd use Q, E, R, F, V, Z, X and sometimes S before using B.
they're pulling off a highly challenging and intense raid with four players on laptops without mice. no.
raj begins spamming a cast key at a speed MUCH quicker than the cooldown for ANY spell in this game.
leonard says "my tail is prehensile, i'll swat him off". there are only four races in the game with tails: draenei, tauren, lightforged draenei, highmountain tauren, dracthyr, and vulpera. none of them have prehensile tails. in fact, nothing in this game has a prehensile tail that i can think of. there's like one hozen in pandaria that swings from a tree.
"tonight i spice my meat with goblin blood" you don't need to eat in wow for any reason other than gaining a stat buff, or to regain health. also, goblin blood isn't a reagent for cooking.
Sheldon gets the sword of azeroth, which isn't a thing. Also, Leonard tells him to use a "sleath spell". (reading from a transcript here.) i have no idea what this is. he also describes himself as a "rogue night elf". aside from putting the class before the race which is icky, rogues can't cast spells. also, above, sheldon was a night elf, not a blood elf. he also had a pet, making him a hunter, not a rogue. if he was a night elf, he wouldn't be able to play with the others as they seem to have horde characters.
15. sheldon couldn't just take the sword. the game would ask everyone to roll need before greed. or else it would be personal loot, where there is a small chance of the sword dropping for any player. he then sells the sword on ebay, which wouldn't be possible, as the only people he could trade a soulbound item to would be the others in his party at the time, within a 2 hour window. to be fair, howard buys it immediately so like, whatever. but it's still weird that he put it on ebay.
so yeah i hate this show for being so distinctly not made for geeks, but this stabbed me right in the autism.

tried to search for one of your posts to no avail. it lists rpgs you're significantly interested in or have played, with varying exclamation marks, under Keep reading. could you send the link to it if you can find it?
Unfortunately it would be pretty difficult to find for me as well but given that it's likely out of date I will take this opportunity to try making a new one (hopefully won't forget anything either). Thank you for this!
This time rather than symbols I will just list them all under more specific categories. Some of these are likely to change over time as I play more of the games (I have not finished all of them).

had a dream ffxiv did a zelda collab and it was n64 era and the dungeon was actually really good.
it had a wide area that was like cave forest where you had to explore around and rout all the monsters to proceed. you could solo it from the start but the game would give you npcs but in this case they were all huge kittens named things like buckwheat. the kittens wouldn't actually fight and just helped you track monsters by scent and buff you.
i was playing a lalafell astrologian and had to do this quest real quick bc a couple of friends asked me to do the attached alliance raids after. so i go in with the kittens and wander around the cave jungle until i find and eliminate all enemies.
the design of the dungeon and enemies was all that was zelda themed.
this opens a path to an upper area where an npc is waiting for me. i talk to him and theres a cutscene i dont remember other than i barely kept myself from skipping it in dream bc my friends would wait if i wanted to watch it
the small npc thing then hands me some new artifact gear, it looks similar to my current set but bright blue instead of my dyed black and with a lower cut back, and pants visible beneath the skirt. also some kind of bloodborne hunters hat so i decide to use most of it but glamour the hat as my big witch one.
then another cutscene plays where 'heroes' of something flas across my screen. its like them posing with their names and it would have a red overlay if you'd already killed them. if you killed them you could get a snippet of history about the 'hero'.
then the npc gets like a zoom in all scary like and a pop up is like WOULD YOU LIKE TO DISABLE MONSTERS ON GANGOS?
and he like starts talking about something i don't remember. and even though he said gangos in dream we all know he actually meant eureka bc this was connected to eureka somehow.
I am like pffft no i can handle it ive been there before. npc looks suspicious doubtful.
I end the instance and go 'back to my computer' which seems to be a small old crt style television mounted to the end of one of those grocery store check out counters. its normal that im still a lalafell but i use the 'computer' and it fixes my armor/glam in real time.
then i message my friends about unlocking the alliance raids next and i see a convo with a notification i read the chat where 'naver' and 'lui' are talking about something
and i snap awake suddenly at 5am and didn't get to do the zelda themed alliance raids :'(

NaNo day 19
I worked really hard to get to a point where I felt I could at least stop writing for the day without ending it somewhere mid-sentence, lol.
needs a lot of work, but I just need to push through this part first. xiaobao feelin' some things here. things he will not be talking about, no thank you.
He didn’t know how long he froze for, but his eyes were burning by the time Fang Duobing was able to look away from the dungeon boss, thoughts frantic and buzzing in search for the exit.
They fell in. He couldn’t even see walls, much less a place for them to have come from. The boss room felt like a dimension of its own, a protected bubble that would allow no exit once someone ended up there. If he had known… if he hadn’t taken off running…
They might have been food for the monsters if he hadn’t done that. Fang Duobing studied up on dungeons well enough the last several years to understand that they had gotten lucky getting the amount of crystal shards they did, as most dungeons had monsters that were difficult to kill one at a time, yet this one was filled with creatures that were rather weak but made up for their weakness in numbers.
The problem was when they needed only a few crystal shards, but couldn’t take on a swarm of dozens to hundreds of monsters at a time. He should have strategised drawing a few in at a time somehow, even if at the moment he still didn’t know how he would have done that. There must have been a way, at least a way better than running and then ending up in the boss room.
The first handful of years after the gates appeared, no one had been able to defeat dungeon bosses. Many Hunters tried once they discovered their existence, and ultimately lost their lives, and the lives of the teams they brought with them.
It was Jinyuan Alliance’s leader Di Feisheng who cleared the first dungeon, purposefully taking his sect into a do or die situation where they either took down the dungeon boss or didn’t come out. The first dungeon clear had been a shock, and then a cause for celebration as the gate disappeared entirely from a place that had once been a highly visited mall.
He declined all interviews, but the official statement from his PA Jiao Liqiao had been that he wanted to take the top rank, to push and prove himself as the greatest Hunter in the world. Di Feisheng’s persona was that of a cold man who cared not to do good but to become stronger and stronger. He didn’t focus on saving people, but rather on bettering himself.
Immediately after, Sigu Sect cleared a dungeon as well, and then two, and then three. Once it was proven that dungeons were, in fact, not indestructible, Li Xiangyi had turned it into a personal mission to clear dungeon bosses, with or without the help of his sect. While others planned weeks in advance and took large raid parties, by the third clear, Li Xiangyi took only a small group with him, usually with only a few people in excess to give them the experience and knowledge of how to fight a dungeon boss.
But as the dungeons collapsed into nothing, the media portrayed the remaining ones as… stronger, somehow. And soon the celebratory support behind the sects turned into that of doubt and suspicion as Hunters started protesting the closure of the dungeons.
Sure, the first dungeon would be easy to clear. Maybe the second and third as well! But once they closed ten, once they hit more than that… wouldn’t that make it harder for everyone else? If they wanted to close all the dungeons, then sure the last handful would be impossible to do! And it would be more dangerous for any civilians who fell through the gates as well! With the average monsters growing stronger as each dungeon boss was defeated, more Hunters would be put in danger.
But Sigu Sect and Jinyuan Alliance did not stop, and their successes spurred Hunter groups around the world to compete in closing dungeons, until there were less than a hundred all over the world. Until sects had to team up, had to send their best, for a hundred man raid battle against the bosses rather than dedication teams.
And then the disastrous day when Sigu Sect and Jinyuan Alliance fell apart in the middle of a raid, when they started fighting each other along with the boss, when both sects were decimated and most of them died. When the boss was finally defeated, when the dungeon shut down and everyone made it out, they discovered that neither Di Feisheng nor Li Xiangyi had been among the people who returned.
No one ever saw them again.
And then the worst came to pass: gates started appearing around the world once more, randomly, infrequently, but growing as if attempting to balance out the dungeons that had previously been defeated. Every several months, a new one would appear in the world. While the first wave had appeared in the brightest cities in the world, all the subsequent gates were scattered about.
Many over the ocean, some over deserts or rural towns, and there was no way to predict when or where one might appear.
The common speculation was that the gates would stop appearing once they reached their original numbers, and civilians navigating around them became the new normal. Dungeons existed alongside society, and new businesses supporting Hunters and selling scavenged items started popping up.
Many online wrote of their dissent, blaming the new dungeons and the civilian deaths associated with them, the danger of being caught up in a new gate, the feelings of anxiety over never feeling safe enough, all on the old Hunters. On sects like Sigu and Jinyuan, on people like Li Xiangyi and Di Feisheng. If they had only left the dungeons alone, many wrote, then the world wouldn’t be in such a situation! The gates and dungeons were here to stay, and to attempt to abolish them brought about the last decade of uncertainty and fear.
If only the Hunters left the gates alone, then no new ones would have to appear.
Fang Duobing didn’t think so, and spent too many hours of his teen years angrily flaming those posts on Weibo and Baidu forums.
How could the Hunters have possibly known what was going to happen? How could civilians blame them for trying to prevent more innocent people from falling through the gates, from property damage as the gates breathed in size? The sects had a duty to close the gates if they could! They were trying to protect people, and it wasn’t their fault that further gates appeared!
But country after country agreed to stop closing the dungeons, to let the numbers to grow back to its initial size, and Fang Duobing could only seethe in silence.
It was now illegal to confront a dungeon boss, as if any normal person could actually take one on.
It meant no one would be coming to help Fang Duobing, not unless his aunt convinced his parents to sanction the government for a special force to find him. But it would take hours, if not days.
With the way the large coiled creature was already starting to move, responding to Fang Duobing’s presence in its territory, he didn’t have that sort of time.
The only way to leave was through the boss.
But before that, he had to find Li Lianhua.
He had to find Li Lianhua, and then he had to find a way to… to leave somehow. If they could just find two other monsters who might have fallen in with them, if they could take those two out, then they’d be able to get the crystal shards to leave.
(Deep in his mind, Fang Duobing understood that those thoughts were delusional. Ordinary monsters would never enter the boss room, and he could see no exit in any direction.)
He shrunk back into the grass, giving a reprieve to his aching legs as he crawled through the higher grass, hiding and searching.
“Li Lianhua,” he hissed out frantically, unwilling to raise his voice and draw attention, yet also unable to stay silent. “Li Lianhua, where are you?”
As he moved, he could feel the creature waking, stretching, searching. The movements were slow and lethargic so far, just rousing from a deep rest.
“Li Lianhua!” Fang Duobing hissed out again, tone switching to despair. He couldn’t be the only one here, could he? Li Lianhua couldn’t have— how bad was the fall? How far had they fallen? With the way his shoulder felt, he would certainly need medical care after this if they could escape, but… Li Lianhua wasn’t a Hunter, he complained about having to walk after an hour or so, and needed frequent rests. He would spend days in bed when his illness flared up, barely able to eat and definitely without the energy to care for himself. Today’s exertion must have already been too much, and to fall at such a height, he had to—
There was a flash of something pale through the glowing grass, and Fang Duobing made his way over quickly, trying to ignore the rousing monster that was pushing his heart rate into a panic. Around thick clumps of grass, he saw Li Lianhua’s pale clothes, parts of his skin covered in dark red blood that had Fang Duobing reeling.
Li Lianhua was on his back, unmoving, but he didn’t look overly worse for wear. Fang Duobing didn’t know what to do, grabbing at the man’s cold hand to feel for a pulse, and letting out a breath in relief as he found it, slow but steady. There was the beginning of a bruise across his temple on the same side where he sustained the cut, and Fang Duobing didn’t know whether that was because of the fall or if it had been there before, but unseen due to the dim lighting. There were several scratches that tore through the sleeves of his shirt, and one long cut up his thigh, but it didn’t appear to be bleeding too badly. Other than that and the mud splattered across his clothes, he looked relatively alright.
Relatively. Fang Duobing didn’t know how to gauge.
“Li Lianhua, wake up,” he breathed out frantically, gingerly shaking his shoulder. What if he had a spinal injury? A concussion that meant he wouldn’t wake? What if Li Lianhua had internal bleeding that Fang Duobing couldn’t assess, and he was making it worse?
What if he was already too late?
“Wake up, we have to go,” Fang Duobing murmured with wide eyes, darting to look at the moving mountain, the monster that had yet to find them. “We have to hide—”
He must have made too much noise, as suddenly there was a loud roar that reverberated through the cavernous room, shaking the earth under them. The sound was deep, deep enough to settle in his bones and pool within his marrow, laying the foundation of fear.
It was that roar that finally roused Li Lianhua, the man twitching into awareness with a frown that left a deep furrow between his brows. A rhythmic thump spread across the ground like ripples in a pool, and the man’s hand twitched as it hit him.
“Li Lianhua,” Fang Duobing repeated, demanded, because they didn’t have the time for a slow and peaceful awakening. If he had to carry the man out of the dungeon himself, then Fang Duobing would do that. The thumps on the ground were quickly growing in frequency as Li Lianhua finally opened his eyes, awareness settling in quickly despite the way his eyes were unfocused. With that acknowledgement that the man was awake, Fang Duobing pulled him forward and up. “No time, we have to find a place to hide.”
To his credit, Li Lianhua didn’t protest or even indicate discomfort from his injuries, following along with Fang Duobing’s movement until he caught sight of the towering monsters that was rising from its coiled position, revealing more lines of sharp spines that curled around its form, twining its way down corded flesh that was starting to pulse with discolouration, the fleshy pink and browns sliding into an array of blues and purples that mirrored the colours of the gate.
He didn’t know where the reflex came from, but within a moment Fang Duobing managed to pull Li Lianhua all the way to his feet while he got up himself, and yank them both out of the way as a large tendril slammed into the ground where they had previously been. There was a shrieking sound from the plants crushed underneath the tendril.
The pulsing tendril hit deep into the earth, and pulled back slowly as Fang Duobing stared in shock and horror, hands grabbing tightly on Li Lianhua’s shoulder and arm, sure that he would leave bruises.
It was as thick as a dinner plate, yet nowhere as large as the monster. Where did it come from?
“Move!” Li Lianhua’s voice was raspy, and soon the two of them were stumbling away from the boss, feet bumbling over the ground as the thumps continued, attempting to trip them up.
The roar came once more, feeling like a wave crashing into them and pushing them as physical as a hurricane of wind.
Fang Duobing stumbled, crashing forward into the soft earth alongside Li Lianhua, who exhaled sharply in pain at the fall. Then he stopped, and yanked Fang Duobing toward him as he rolled away, and a moment later there was the crash of another tendril right where Fang Duobing had been, mere inches away and close enough that he could feel the resulting gust.
“Stop,” Li Lianhua commanded before Fang Duobing could scramble up, chest to chest as they drew panicked breaths. His thin arms were bracketing Fang Duobing, weight painful on his ribs. “Don’t move.”
Above them to the side, the tendril was pulling up, shining with a purple light like smoke as it slowly retreated, and Fang Duobing stared with bated breath as it withdrew toward the monster, and the thumping of the ground slowed and stopped.
The monster made another noise, this time less a roar but rather something higher pitched, and Fang Duobing stayed frozen.
“It’s movement,” Li Lianhua breathed against him. “It senses movement on the ground.”
They stayed utterly still, and the monster made another one of the pitched noises, its every movement rumbling through the dirt. Despite not being able to see the monster clearly as they lay in the grass, he could feel its movements as it searched for them. As they held still to the point of holding their breaths, the creature emitted noises like clicks, at first slow and then growing in speed and pitch. The sounds of shrieking grass became a chorus as the monster slithered and crushed it.
Fang Duobing’s eyes were wide, staring straight at Li Lianhua, afraid that even the motion of looking away might attract the attention of the boss monster.
They were tentatively safe for the moment, lying on the grass, but that safety wouldn’t last with the way the creature was moving around the cavern. It couldn’t last when they weren’t allowed to move, but the moment they did move, then—
Fang Duobing was fairly confident in his ability to take down some dungeon monsters, reassured of his martial training if nothing else. But the creature searching for them now was beyond anything he imagined fighting by himself. He didn’t even have a proper weapon, nothing more than a small wooden sword he carried with him for luck.
Above him, Li Lianhua’s mouth flattened into a stern line, likely reading Fang Duobing’s panic. He was always good at figuring out Fang Duobing’s thoughts with a look. It was something that fascinated Fang Duobing at first, and then irritated him later, until he was determined to do the same.
They could wait there, rest while they could, but with the way each sound the monster made was making his heart pound faster, it seemed more likely that the longer they waited, the more ill prepared he would be. Panic created mistakes, Fang Duobing knew.
No one was coming for them.
There was no way of getting out.
But he couldn’t afford to start a fight he couldn’t win. The fear crashing against his throat and faltering his breathing was screaming at him very clearly that he couldn’t win. He didn’t have the skills, he didn’t have the experience. Even if he did have both, he didn’t have a team to back him up. He was already injured. He had to keep Li Lianhua safe.
“If it could tell where we were by movement,” Li Lianhua muttered lowly under his breath, and Fang Duobing almost shushed him for it except the man looked too deep in thought to pay him any mind. “Then we would have been killed the moment we fell in. It didn’t do that. Why?”
Fang Duobing struggled with his urge to stay completely still to the point of not speaking for a long moment, but as the monster continued to move a direction not close to them for the moment, he risked, “It seemed asleep.”
“No,” Li Lianhua’s eyes were narrowed in thought. “Anything could drop in here. This cave is at the bottom of the dungeon. A creature that big would need to conserve energy, it can’t go chasing after every rock dropped into this room. It’s about secondary movement. Like a venus fly trap.”
Fang Duobing didn’t know anything about venus fly traps except for the shape and that it ate insects.
Another series of pitchy clicks erupted above them, and Fang Duobing tensed his jaw even as he stared at Li Lianhua worrying his lower lip in thought.
No one was coming for them. The thought bounced continuously in his head. His mother would be so mad. She always said that his obsession with being a Hunter, with dungeons, would get him killed. She had done everything in her power to lock that path from her only child, even as Fang Duobing raged and rebelled against her orders.
She was going to be so, so mad about being right.
He couldn’t give up. He had to… to…
It wasn’t until Li Lianhua shifted slightly above him to touch his shoulder that Fang Duobing realised he was shaking. The older man looked down at him and then closed his eyes for a moment, expression softening.
“It’s okay,” he said. “I have a plan. But I need you to do something.”
Fang Duobing couldn’t nod, but said, “Anything.” Li Lianhua was smart, so much smarter than he often let on, which was astonishing because Li Lianhua had never been shy about boasting his own intelligence. If anyone could come up with a plan in this situation, it would be him.
“Close your eyes.” Li Lianhua told him, shockingly intimate as they lay chest to chest and Fang Duobing found himself flushing in that moment where he hadn’t before. They were injured, dirty, and bloodied, yet Li Lianhua’s hair was escaping from his loosened bun, and the strands were tickling the side of Fang Duobing’s face. “Count to a hundred. All the way to a hundred. Don’t move before then.”
Fang Duobing made a face. “What? That’s not a plan— Li Lianhua—”
A slight movement, but it was enough that the clicking from the monster petered out, and a rough hand covered his eyes, prompting Fang Duobing to close them unintentionally. Li Lianhua’s skin was cold, his poor circulation not helped by blood loss.
“Count.” Li Lianhua told him, and in the absence of sight, Fang Duobing could feel the warmth of his breath. “And don’t move, no matter what. It’s part of my plan.”
And then he was gone. His weight, his warmth, the hand across Fang Duobing’s eyes… Between one moment and the next, he was gone and Fang Duobing squeezed his eyes shut to start mentally counting, trusting in Li Lianhua’s plan. He was smart, he always knew what to do—
The monster roared once more, and the thumping on the earth began once more, like ripples across a pond.
Locating movement, Fang Duobing realised now.
There were heavy thuds, great hits against the dirt that he could feel, at a distance from his person, and he wondered just what Li Lianhua managed to do that drew the monster away. Hopefully, Fang Duobing prayed, throwing stones to divert its attention. But where was Li Lianhua himself?
A heavy shaking, a great impact that had Fang Duobing clenching his fists, and then the creature gave out a pitched scream, discordant like the sounds of faulty machinery, the frequency vibrating through his bones.
A beat, another, and Fang Duobing continued to count even as his conviction wavered hearing the shrieking flowers from one area and another, and the feeling of the boss monster moving, the shaking of the ground underneath him overpowering even the rapid beating of his heart. Each moment built his anxiety, his fear, his uncertainty, and Fang Duobing felt like a bow string drawn tight, verging on breaking.
He was halfway through his count, his entire body a ball of tension, when he smelt it.
Beyond the pained shrieking of the creature was a sharp, heavy ozone smell. Metallic. Almost warm, in a way that alarmed his senses.
Blood. A lot of it.
He couldn’t stay still. He couldn’t keep his eyes closed. If something happened to Li Lianhua, and he sat back and didn’t do anything—
Li Lianhua was smart, so smart, but Fang Duobing was now remembering all the times the man would throw himself in dangerous situations or anger the wrong people with his sharp tongue, never once backing down despite being outnumbered and outclassed. How many times had Fang Duobing stepped in to stop a fight? How many times had Li Lianhua been in danger without him even knowing it?
He opened his eyes to the glow of the grass, the lights escaping up toward the ceiling, and found there was a plume of dust fogging the area high above. He shouldn’t move. Movement would draw the attention of the dungeon boss, and it might ruin Li Lianhua’s entire plan—
But the man never told him the plan. And he was never good at keeping himself out of danger.
With gritted teeth, Fang Duobing carefully and quickly pushed himself up and got his feet under him, crouching in the tall grass but now able to see over it. What he saw was the giant worm-like monster, except now it was halfway uncoiled, unravelled like the frayed end of a rope to reveal itself made of dozens of tendrils of purple-blue, pulling apart to reveal a dark abyss at the centre, so black it looked like a hole in the fabric of reality. Some of the tendrils had serrated edges, the spines he originally saw, and writhed wildly in pain.
Half the tendrils on one side of the creature lay cut and limp, leaking what could only be a blackened blood as the entirety of the monster flailed upward away from a figure and a shine.
A figure in pale clothes that landed before the monster with their back to Fang Duobing, hair unbound and wild, and one arm extended to reveal a glowing blue sword held firmly and with impeccable control.
It was a posture he had seen before many years ago. On a figure he in recent years came to know all too well.
And then the figure moved once more, barely having landed on the ground for a split second before he was back in the air in a display like a dance, twisting to evade two tendrils that shot at him and spinning the glowing blue blade to slice through yet another tendril, prompting the monster to let out another piercing cry and lash out blindly.
The movements were beautiful and almost otherworldly, speaking to years of experience and practised grace. He landed on a tendril, already off running before it could sweep down under his weight, and pushed on higher, higher in the air until he twisted above the monster entirely despite the size of it, hair a curtain trailing after him.
And then Li Lianhua came back down, in one sweeping move slicing through the rest of the monster tendrils.

Dungeon Hunter Alliance Vita Review: As Bad as They Say?
Dungeon Hunter Alliance for the Playstation Vita is a game that divides opinions. Many players have criticized the game for its repetitive gameplay and lack of innovation, however, I personally found the game to be enjoyable. The hack-and-slash gameplay is satisfying, with smooth and responsive controls, which work well on the Vita’s touch screen. The game offers a good variety of weapons and…

The Guild of Beasts
• The reason why the world of magic and fantasy was threatened with the human world was because of the same inhabitants of the magical world, which was inhabited only by creatures of all kinds, even where they resemble gods, and it all started when the same creatures released a large amount of magical energy that was affecting their universe, their fights against the dark creatures of their world generated dimensional cracks that with each release of their magic were getting bigger and bigger until these cracks reached the universe of Earth, where humans lived. Thus both worlds were combined creating a world where the magic and technology of the human world is now manifested, it was there that humans took a new step for their new era of evolution and coexistence towards new creatures and places that took over a large part of their world.
• The magical cracks that were created by the Legendary Beasts themselves caused magical leaks, which little by little were reaching the human world, low and high level creatures managed to infiltrate the Earth from different parts of the world, the cracks grew more and more and the Nations of the world took measures for the safety of the population, but when the creatures infiltrated the world, panic soon appeared in all the humans of the world, who were not prepared for this type of threat. But not only the creatures of the magical world manifested, the magical flora was also mixed so much with the flora of the human world, this caused the magic in various objects and minerals on Earth to increase in power.
• Some of the Legendary Beasts decided to make alliances with humans, in order to help them defend themselves from other creatures and better understand their new world, humanity combined their resources and a new era began in Earth's history. And the most surprising thing was that human "Hunters" blessed by the magic of the same beasts appeared who released much of their power everywhere so that people who are affected by the powers of the beasts can defend themselves and help in other ways to fight the hostile and dark creatures of the magical world.
• People called these powers "Blessings", whether by something natural or by the work of a legendary beast, the entire world used the Hunters as the new protectors of the world. But even so, there were people who used their new powers to hurt others and continue with their misdeeds, that is why world leaders organized a great elite of Hunters who seek to apply peace and justice in their world, in order to maintain world order again as before. New laws, new types of combat, new alliances, organizations, jobs, weapons, prototypes, media, entertainment, among many other things, were created. Even in a short period of time, the Guilds were formed, organizations made up mainly of some Hunters and Legendary Beasts, which serve as a public order, some of these guilds are made up of business industries, in order to provide all kinds of services and sales of prototypes to different organizations or world leaders.
• Several of the Legendary Beasts even became part of some guilds, they even made deals with some humans to better enhance their power, but very few can survive this kind of contracts with humans, as it takes great potential to survive the contract of a legendary beast. Some Legendary Beasts even took on a human form in order to better coexist with people. The Legendary Beasts that refused to live with humans or be part of a guild decided to live on their own, some even hid from the world, but in case any of these beasts endanger people, they will have to be stopped anyway.
• The most dangerous magical places so far are the so-called "Dungeons", places that resemble labyrinths, fortresses, caves or underground places where the most incredible treasures or powerful weapons are found that would make the Hunter who enters the Dungeons the most powerful and rich of all. But dangers also inhabit the Dungeons, both low and high level dark creatures inhabit some of these dungeons, they are also full of traps and puzzles that must be solved in order to advance, some other hostile creatures also inhabit the Dungeons. There are dungeons that are harmless and can serve as starting areas for new hunters just beginning their training, moreover, dungeons are filled with all kinds of valuable minerals, some dungeons are used as mining areas to extract the minerals, and even some guilds use these low-level dungeons for some of their businesses and trades.
• In the beginning, when people with Blessings awakened their magic power they were called "Awakened", each person who manifests a power must register with a registration center in order to classify their power, failing to do so could be a crime. After their power is ranked, they will be given access to all sorts of areas and jobs where their power can be of help, be it lower level or higher. Even if they manage to rise in power or progress a lot in their jobs, they will still have a chance to become a Hunter, whether they want to work for a Guild or other registered organizations.
• To increase people's trust in Hunters and other Awakened, people with Blessings serve as celebrities to entertain the public, all with the intention of improving their image.
• Blessing rankings are based on class S through F. Classes S, A, B and C are the strongest classes of all, reaching this level or if a person awakens their Blessing with any of these rankings will immediately give them access to being a Hunter. Although at the beginning of the disaster with the appearance of the creatures, people with these classifications had to be taken by their government to training camps located in different parts of the world.
• Classes D, E, F and G are considered the lowest Blessings, but still some can be dangerous for some people, when an Awakened gets this classification they have the option to level up while doing jobs or quests that suit their class.
• There are also categories in creatures, these are Z, X, Y and N classes. Z classes are the most powerful and dangerous, legendary beasts and dark creatures become part of that category, only S, A and B class hunters can deal with Z class creatures, and S class hunters can have a chance to survive a contract with a Z class creature.
• Class X and Y creatures can be manipulated equally by Hunters or by other Awakened who have the ability to contain them. The X classes are somewhat higher, and can also be tamed by some Hunters, they are quite intelligent and have intelligence almost equal to Legendary Beasts, this class of creatures are unique in that Guilds can use them as partners or weapons for combat, and not many Hunters have the ability to tame these types of creatures.
• Y and N class creatures behave like any animal, some can be tamed, others are too hostile, some of these species are protected by law because of how valuable they are, they can also be sold as pets, as long as the person or business has a special permit, but N class creatures are considered somewhat neutral and small, and it is not hard to find them since they are observed in different places, they can even be found in cities, these are the only creatures that do not require permission in case a person has them as pets. pets or use them in a job These two types of creatures can naturally coexist with normal animals in the human world.
• There are Awakened who have the ability to tame creatures and that has helped the population and some guilds in the world. Even some tamers have the ability to control other normal animals in the human world and several of them organize shows, and some others work as keepers in the new zoos.
• Despite the fact that some Hunters are seen as heroes, the reality is very different, there are factions in the Hunters, others fight for peace, others for their own benefit and there are others who only pretend to be heroes just to gain fame and fortune. The environment within the Hunters can be too hostile, since there was a time when the same Hunters fought each other to prove who was the most powerful, the same goes for the Guilds, there are Guilds that compete with each other, and there are other Guilds that team up sometimes. But sometimes the same leaders of the Guilds seek not to attract too much attention from their members, to maintain a good image within their organizations, the leaders had to isolate several of their members from other people so that their image would remain intact and they would not have anyone against them. There are even dark Guilds, they are criminal organizations that operate outside the law and these are the most wanted by the other Guilds that work for law and order.

Tumblr media
Hey all! <Morally Grey> is a guild/raid on Wyrmrest Accord-Alliance, returning for Dragonflight. Formed shortly before the start of Warlords of Draenor, we're looking to bolster our raid team and welcome experienced as well as new raiders as we take on Dragonflight together.
We are cross-realm and cross-faction friendly. You do not need to join Morally Grey to raid with us, (even though we'd like that). You just need to abide by our rules and join our Discord! Just want to do Mythic+ dungeons together? That’s fine, too.
We want to progress through content while also being a part of a tight-knit team. We want to foster a friendly, focused, and driven environment. We want to create lasting friendships that span the boundaries of just one game. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly group.

The WoW Gold Classic Era: A Nostalgic Journey
The WoW Gold Classic Era: A Nostalgic Journey In the vast world of Azeroth, where dragons soar and epic battles unfold, the WoW Gold Classic Era stands as a testament to the game’s rich history. Let’s delve into this nostalgic journey, exploring the key features, memorable moments, and enduring impact of this classic era.To get more news about Buy WoW Gold Classic ERA, you can visit lootwow.com official website.
1. The Birth of a Legend The WoW Gold Classic Era began in 2004 when Blizzard Entertainment released World of Warcraft (WoW). Players stepped into a fantasy realm teeming with quests, dungeons, and camaraderie. The games original design emphasized community, encouraging players to form bonds and tackle challenges together.
2. Vanilla WoW: Simplicity and Complexity Vanilla WoW, as it’s affectionately known, offered a simpler experience compared to its modern counterpart. Players explored iconic zones like Elwynn Forest, Stranglethorn Vale, and Tanaris. The leveling process was deliberate, requiring patience and strategy. Classes had unique quirks, and talent trees allowed for diverse character builds.
3. Raiding and Legendary Items Raids were the pinnacle of PvE content. Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, and Naxxramas challenged guilds to coordinate and conquer formidable bosses. Legendary items like Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, became legendary not only for their power but also for the epic quests required to obtain them.
4. Community and Server Identity Players formed tight-knit communities on individual servers. You knew your fellow adventurers by name, and rivalries sparked in battlegrounds. The Barrens chat, infamous for its randomness, became a cultural phenomenon. Server-first achievements were celebrated, and friendships forged in virtual taverns endured.
5. The Closing of the Portal In 2006, The Burning Crusade expansion opened the Dark Portal, leading players to Outland. The WoW Gold Classic Era gradually faded, but its impact remained. Players reminisce about their first epic mount, their first raid boss kill, and the thrill of exploring Azeroth without flying mounts.
Conclusion The WoW Gold Classic Era was more than a game; it was a shared experience. Whether you were a Night Elf hunter or an Undead rogue, those memories linger. So, raise a virtual mug to the past, and let the echoes of “For the Horde!” and “For the Alliance!” remind us of the magic that once was.
