I can’t really explain what stranger things means to me. A show about outcasts, by outcasts, for outcasts. When you’re different, sometimes you feel like a mistake. But you make me feel like I’m not a mistake at all, like I’m better for being different.

what part of Light Yagami being an attractive Japanese student that is preppy and kempt are ppl not fucking grasping? 😂 the whole thing about Light’s character is that he’s an attractive highly intelligent young man and it matters in the way that he is “attractive”, as in he’s the last person you would ever suspect of being a killer. He’s supposed to be extremely charming and seemingly approachable, which is exactly why so many people trust him with little to zero effort on their part.

it’s like.. a huge part of his character that cannot be fucked up or else he won’t be believable. He is not meant to look rugged or like some kind of loner lol. You can’t just cast any guy you personally think is hot and assume that they will work for the character 🤣 especially not a damn white guy

Light’s entire character is “how could a good boy like me possibly be Kira uwu” lol. Literally no one believes he could be aside from L because he is completely unassuming and the Chief of Police’s perfect son

June 13th 1986 isn’t some random date. It was Friday the 13th.

we’re already speculating the idea that this might be the scene with mike and el at the baseball field.

knowing what we know about baseball in stranger things, and how it represents forced conformity, this date for a hypothetical m!leven breakup isn’t a random choice whatsoever.

it’s expected that the duffers would eventually pay homage to the movie Friday the 13th (1980) in stranger things and the way they’ve allegedly decided to reference it is pretty fitting in my opinion.

Friday the 13th touches on the aspect of horror that depicts teenagers as sinners for engaging in things like premarital sex (i think there’s a proper name for it but i can’t think of it right now). in return, they are punished by whatever horror/slasher elements within the story. this is a common theme still used in slasher films today, like in Fear Street 1978 when those two characters (i can’t remember their names rn lol sorry) have sex and are immediately murdered by Tommy. same idea with Friday the 13th, but in this case, teenagers having premarital sex is the prime reason why Pamela murders the counselors (bc her son drowned in the lake bc two counselors were having sex and couldn’t save him so she wants revenge yadda yadda).

what does this have to do with the baseball field and m!leven breaking up there?

something that goes hand in hand with forced conformity: religious guilt.

so not only would the m!leven breakup at the baseball field be significant because they are ending their relationship in a location that resembles the idea of forced conformity (something that heavily influenced their relationship coming into fruition and remaining that way for 2 seasons), this also would happen on Friday the 13th, a direct reference to a film depicting a straightforward metaphor for religious guilt (something that a queer teenager like mike would certainly have for a plethora of reasons, mainly as a result of being raised in a conservative household who voted for Raegan/Bush in 1984, and growing up in a similarly religious/conservative small town in Indiana in the 1980s during the AIDS epidemic where queer people were villainized and brutally targeted.)

if i’m right, the duffers literally added a whole new layer of meaning to this breakup scene. crazy shit.

also, i am so certain about this because as some of you who follow me know, im currently taking the duffer brothers’ master class. in one of their classes, they briefly mention how when they have little nods to other movies or works, it is never done as a “gag”. they hold some kind of significance in the narrative, and are never considered solely as random references. if they want to reference something, they find a way to mold it into the story.

Two days ago, I wrapped my final scene as Will Byers, and I’m feeling very emotional. As I close this chapter of my life, I can’t help but be forever grateful for the incredible people that I’ve met and valuable life/career lessons I learned through this decade journey. Here are the top 10 that I wanted to share with you: 1. The Duffer Brothers taught me that the creative process takes time and it's okay to be meticulous about creating perfect moments. 2. Shawn Levy taught me that sometimes, less is more. 3. The crew taught me that I can be professional while building genuine, family-like connections. 4. Finn taught me how to be constantly curious and appreciate what goes on behind the camera. 5. Winona sparked my love for film by introducing me to her favorite classics from movies like Terms of Endearment to Almost Famous. 6. Millie taught me to embrace my silliness and that life never should be taken too seriously. 7. Gaten taught me that it's cool to be a nerd, and to never be embarrassed by my love of learning. 8. Caleb taught me that being direct and communicating is necessary when something is on my mind. 9. Sadie taught me that even though we are getting older, it's important to embrace the child inside us and never let that go. 10. Charlie showed me that true masculinity is rooted in love, kindness, and gentle compassion. Growing up I always felt like an outcast, unsure of where I fit in. Navigating life in the spotlight while carrying this feeling, through every awkward phase and embarrassing moment exposed for the world to see, has definitely been an unusual experience. But l've been honored to share it with my incredible co-stars, who understand it in a way that no one else can. "Stranger Things" was more than a job; it was a lifelong dream. A dream made reality thanks to the Duffers. Thank you for taking a chance on me when I was just a 10 year old kid and entrusting me with something so important to you both. Together, this cast + crew has built something so very special, and I couldn't be any more excited for the world to see the final chapter. Okay, so to escape Vecna, Max has to search for her happy memories. At first, we see all her memories with her friends

But then there are more and more consecutive memories of her and Lucas

And hey, what suddenly inserts itself between all those memories that have a romantic significance?

And Max could have managed to escape from Vecna thanks to the memory of the dance where she kisses Lucas. It would have been cute, romantic, and impactful for Lumax. But no, instead, we get a shot of Max’s face, showing that this memory isn’t enough. She needs something that completes all these memories to finally help her escape, and BAM!!

And the battle against Vecna at the Snow Ball is so Elmax

Like, to find Max in her mind, Eleven heads towards a piece of music, and it could have been any song, but it had to be "Dream a Little Dream of Me." A clearly romantic song, and just look at the lyrics that play as El moves toward the music

And the shots on Max. She’s literally surrounded by blue and is technically in a sad, blue phase of her life.

Then just "Dream a Little Dream of Me,"

And Max starts searching for her memories, which are all wrapped up in memories of her and El.

And then that line from Vecna with a rainbow crossing Max’s face, followed by that memorie

And the scene where El appears out of nowhere like in a dream ( "Dream a Little Dream of Me")

El lowers her voice to reassure Max

Max asks her if she’s real and thinks she might have created her because she’s been thinking so much about her memories with her.

if the duffers really cared about the whole ‘it’s set in the 80s’ thing you all are so focused on then why is Will gay? It would make more sense for the nerdy,bullied,tortured kid to be given the woman of his dreams but no.the duffers decided to make him canonically gay and In love with Mike.why would they make him gay if the whole 80s thing mattered to them,they already have Robin who ig you could say is the character to represent the lgbtq+ community so why add one more instead of making him get with some girl?why make him be in love with Mike and make it be a key part of s4,making wills feelings the reason why Mike and el stay together.according to you Mike ‘gets the woman of his dreams’.Will just has to die or suffer with pushing down his feelings for Mike right?that would be the best ending ever right? To have Joyce,a mother who worked so hard and lost her mind over her missing son who fought to find and protect him losing her son in the end or have him suffer.

It is Hopper's map to a tee, although there were some paths that were so pale that I just sort of winged itand hoped for the best. This will also be available in SVG form!
