What to do in Dubai: Best Places to Visit
Burj Khalifa
In any Dubai travel guide, it is impossible to look at the Burj Khalifa without mentioning it. Having a height of 828 meters, it’s the tallest building in the world. From the observation deck on the 148th floor, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the city. A great time to visit is at sunset, when the city transitions from day to night.
The Dubai Mall
Adjacent to the Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall is not just a shopping destination but a full-fledged entertainment complex. It features over 1,200 retail stores, an indoor theme park, an ice rink, and the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. It's a must-visit for families and shopping enthusiasts.
Palm Jumeirah
An architectural marvel, Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island shaped like a palm tree. It’s home to luxurious hotels and resorts, including the famous Atlantis, The Palm. The island offers pristine beaches, upscale dining, and exhilarating water sports. A monorail runs along the trunk, providing easy access to all its attractions.
Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina is a stunning waterfront development with a picturesque promenade. It's lined with high-end restaurants, cafes, and boutiques. A cruise along the marina offers magnificent views of the skyline. For an adrenaline rush, try skydiving over The Palm for an unparalleled aerial view of the city.
Tips for traveling to Dubai
Best Time to Visit
Dubai experiences scorching summers, so the best time to visit is between November and March. During these months, the weather is pleasant, making outdoor activities enjoyable.
There is a dress code
The customs of the locals should be respected even though Dubai is quite modern. If you are visiting a religious site, please dress modestly. Swimming attire is acceptable on beaches and in pools, but should not be worn in public.
The transportation industry
The public transportation system in Dubai is efficient and affordable. Major attractions are connected by metro, and taxis are readily available. Experience Dubai Creek's water taxis (abras) for an unforgettable experience.
Currency and Payments
The local currency is the UAE Dirham (AED). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but it's wise to carry some cash for small purchases or in case of emergencies.

At the base of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system. Music and lights sync with high-flying water jets soaring 150 meters. This is a spectacular sight that shouldn't be missed.
Gold and Spice Souks
For a taste of traditional Dubai, visit the Gold and Spice Souks in Deira. The Gold Souk boasts an impressive array of jewelry, while the Spice Souk offers aromatic spices, herbs, and teas. It’s a great place to hone your bargaining skills and pick up unique souvenirs.
Ski Dubai
Yes, you can ski in the desert! Located inside the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort with five slopes of varying difficulty. It also features a snow park, penguin encounters, and toboggan runs, making it fun for all ages.
Dubai Hotels and Resorts
Burj Al Arab
The iconic sail-shaped Burj Al Arab is synonymous with luxury. It’s consistently voted as the world’s most luxurious hotel, offering unparalleled service and opulent suites. Guests can enjoy private beach access, Michelin-starred dining, and stunning views of the Arabian Gulf.
Atlantis, The Palm
Situated on Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis is a world unto itself. It features a waterpark, an aquarium, and several high-end restaurants. The resort is perfect for families, offering a range of activities from swimming with dolphins to underwater yoga.

Dubai Shopping Guide
The Dubai Mall
As mentioned earlier, The Dubai Mall is a shopper’s paradise. From high-end brands to unique boutiques, it has something for everyone. Don’t miss the Fashion Avenue, which houses luxury brands like Gucci, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton.
Mall of the Emirates
Another top shopping destination, Mall of the Emirates, offers a wide range of retail options. It’s also home to Ski Dubai and a multi-screen cinema. The mall’s high-end fashion stores and gourmet dining options make it a must-visit.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
For a more traditional shopping experience, visit Souk Madinat Jumeirah. This modern interpretation of an ancient marketplace offers an array of souvenirs, handicrafts, and jewelry. The souk’s picturesque canals and outdoor dining options add to its charm.

5 Tips for Getting Your Visas when you’re Traveling To Dubai
5 Tips for Getting Your Visas when you’re Traveling To Dubai
Visiting Dubai can be fun and exciting, but you need the right travel visa to avoid ending up in jail! The best part of getting your visa when traveling to Dubai is that it's easy to do as long as you follow these five simple tips.
1) Check If You Need a Visa
Edubaitourism says that, if you are traveling to Dubai, you will need a visa. Here is a list of things you should know before getting your visas. 1. All citizens from countries with diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates can visit for up to 90 days without a visa as long as they hold an onward ticket and are not planning on working in the country or staying in Dubai past their allotted time. 2. Citizens from other countries may have different regulations depending on their nationality and reasons for visiting. You must check what requirements apply to your country beforehand so there are no surprises when you get there!
2) Get Your Documents In Order
It's essential to get your documents in order before travelling internationally. To be granted entry into the UAE, you must present a valid passport with an expiration date of at least six months from the date of travel and a visa issued by the Embassy of UAE in your country. The Embassy will not issue visas if you have an expired or soon-to-expire passport. Once you enter the country, please ensure you stay within your visa. Overstaying may result in fines and deportation. Additionally, ensure that any vaccinations required by UAE law are up-to-date before traveling!
3) Choose The Right Visa
According to Edubaitourism, The first thing to know about visas in Dubai is that there are different types of visas depending on the length of your stay, what you'll be doing while you're here, and your nationality. If you intend to work in Dubai, have a residency visa, or want to study here, then you will need a different visa. The most common visa is the visit visa which only allows you to stay in the country for up to 30 days. There are also transit visas if you are traveling on your way somewhere else.
4) Apply For Your Visa
You must apply for your visa in advance of your trip. To do so, you will need all of the following:
● A passport is valid for at least six months.
● One passport-size photo.
● Photocopies of your passport's data page and any previous visas or residence permits issued in the past ten years.
● Proof of sufficient funds in the form of a bank statement or letter from a sponsor showing they can support you financially while you are in Dubai.
● An address where you'll be staying in Dubai.
● Return ticket, flight details, or itinerary.
5) Pay The Fees
Dubai visa fees are relatively straightforward and can be paid through various channels. The different types of visas have different fees, but it is essential to remember that all payment methods will be in AED. The following information is broken down by the type of visa:
-Tourist Visa: 45 AED
-Visitor Visa: 50 AED
-Business Visa: 60AED
-Work Permit Visa: 600AED
Conclusion
In conclusion, you must get your visas in order before you set off on any international journey. Many things can happen when you need the correct paperwork; some of them will make your trip much less enjoyable. But with these five tips, you'll be able to navigate the process without a hitch, so get out there and explore!
