The Zeekeeper vs The Great Conductor

Both:

Are animalistic gods revered across their respective land.

Are fought as bosses in the late mid-game.

Initially act all wise and stoic, before dropping the act and revealing their true laid-back, easy-going, slacker personalities.

Have a connection to their games' companion character.

Are Mario's 5th Bros Attack, which, while very strong, has a learning curve.

The Zeekeeper:

Did nothing to try and help the petrified Pi'illo folk, even during the eons where Antasma was sealed away.

Needs to be sought out to help save the island after Antasma escapes his prison.

Only fights Mario and Luigi because he couldn't wait two seconds and hear Dreambert out.

Has the jankiest, most infuriating roadblock of a boss fight in M&L history.

Doesn't want to help Dreambert when he asks, despite them being war buddies from the fight against Antasma.

Demands a ludicrous amount of money to help, despite not even being asked to directly fight the main threats.

Destroys a sacred artifact against the prince's wished and dooms the island to a massive inflation problem.

The Great Conductor:

Is very proactive, having taken the initiative to summon heroes from the Mushroom Kingdom upon noticing the threat Zokket & Reclusa posed.

Kept himself hidden so his enemies wouldn't find him, but still sent Snoutlet out to help Connie and the brothers with their mission on his behalf.

Fights Mario and Luigi to test the strength of their brotherly bond, which they need to be able to defeat Zokket/Reclusa.

Has a fun puzzle boss fight, which tests the skills the player developed up to this point in the game and how much they paid attention. It's also fairly easy, which is exactly what the story's pacing needed at that point.

Teaches Mario and Luigi the Bros Bomb move and hands out the Auto-Luigi plug.

Has some very funny scenes and banter with Snoutlet. And his own sidequest, which is hilarious.

Sends everyone back to the Mushroom Kingdom in the end, even holding the door open so all of Bowser's minions can go home.
