"Die Saat des heiligen Feigenbaums" (Originaltitel: دانه‌ی انجیر معابد, international bekannt als The Seed of the Sacred Fig) ist ein Spielfilm von Mohammad Rasoulof aus dem Jahr 2024. Das Drama erzählt die Geschichte eines iranischen Ermittlungsrichters, der während der landesweiten politischen Proteste gegen das autoritäre Regime zunehmend von Misstrauen und Paranoia gegenüber seiner eigenen Familie geplagt wird. Im oscarprämierten Film "Der Rausch" spielt Mads Mikkelsen einen Lehrer, der durch konstantes Trinken sein Leben umkrempeln will. Ein Gespräch über die Ambivalenz von Alkohol und Exzesse im Filmgeschäft.

Wie spielen Sie jemanden, der betrunken ist? MM: Häufig spielt man jemanden, der angetrunken ist und das vertuschen will. Das kann man gut spielen, weil einen auch genau das verrät: Du läufst langsamer, deine Bewegungen sind zu bemüht, du sprichst angestrengt. Es gibt aber auch den Punkt, an dem man so betrunken ist, dass es einem egal ist, ob andere das mitbekommen. Das ist sehr schwer zu spielen. Dafür haben wir sehr viele YouTube-Videos mit Menschen aus Russland geschaut, die extrem betrunken waren. Das hat uns sehr inspiriert. Diese Betrunkenen haben oft eine Mission, egal wie blöd die ist. Und sie fallen hin und vergessen dabei, ihre Hände zu benutzen.

Als Ihr Charakter am Ende des Films betrunken ist, ist er ein sehr guter Tänzer. Wie sind Sie, wenn Sie betrunken sind?

Ich würde gern behaupten, dass ich dann lustig bin. Ich bin mir da aber nicht so sicher (lacht). Das weiß man nie! Ich werde nicht müde, aber gesprächig. Vielleicht ein bisschen zu sehr, das kann ich allerdings nicht beurteilen.

Hat sich Ihr Trinkverhalten während Corona verändert?

Antwort: Vielleicht trinke ich etwas weniger. Ich bin sehr sportlich gewesen während der ganzen Coronazeit. Wahrscheinlich fehlte mir auch das soziale Leben, immerhin ist Trinken ja auch eine sehr soziale Sache.

Sie drehen europäische Filme wie diesen, aber auch große Hollywoodproduktionen. Was sind für Sie die Vorteile dieser beiden Welten?

Antwort: Ich liebe es einfach zu arbeiten. Ich glaube, jeder Schauspieler liebt eine Vielseitigkeit bei der Arbeit. Ich bin mit großen Produktionen aufgewachsen, ich habe Piraten und Ritter und Actionfilme gesehen. Das war Teil meiner Kindheit. Nun sind Dramafilme in meiner Heimat meine Basis, das liebe ich. Und dass ich außerdem in so großen Produktionen mitspielen darf, mit denen ich aufgewachsen bin, ist eine große Ehre, ein Kindheitstraum, der wahr geworden ist.
