Went for a walk today and actually got some brainstorming done for Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Make Me a Match (the long-awaited third fic in my GOT Hogwarts AU). There's a plot now! Wild. I guess that means it might move up on the agenda. Of course, I've still got so much to write before then but that's exciting. Really I should be writing more every day if I want to finish all these things (and I have been writing more during Camp NaNoWriMo--but on a completely different project lol). Anyway that's all I wanted to say! Will hopefully be back on Wednesday for your regularly scheduled programming.

There’s definitely a bunch out there—I’d think what you’d want to do is specifically filter fics to include the Jonsa relationship tag, the Daenerys character tag and use the exclude filters for things like “Antagonist Dany” “Dany bashing” etc and you should get a search closer to what you are looking for

I wrote a HP AU series called Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titallandus in which Dany plays matchmaker to Jonsa and Gendrya which I think is a lot of fun so maybe you’d enjoy it? If I can ever finish the fic I’m working on now I’m planning to write a third installment 😉

Any Jonsa fic recommendations where there’s no Dany bashing? Or Arya? I love them all & don’t understand why they’re always put against each other (I’m guessing bc of the show). I’ve read many fics where the writing is amazing so I go ahead & read even with the Dany bashing but I’d like to try something new :)

Who came up with this song? The lyrics are eccentric and weird, which fits Dumbledore’s character, but did he write it? Imagine: Dumbledore is recently appointed Headmaster and the first thing he does is sits in his office and writes this crazy song with the portraits of previous headmasters yelling at him. Then when he announces his song to the school everyone complains but Dumbledore’s doesn’t have to listen to them because he’s headmaster now. Or maybe the song is as old as the school itself and the founders wrote it? I mean, they gave their school the tagline “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titallandus” aka “never tickle a sleeping dragon” so we know they were also bizarre and weird. Imagine: the four founders sitting around a table, Godric and Salazar a little bit tipsy belting “HogGy WaRty HogwArtS” as loud as they can while Helga is trying to calm them down and Rowena is actually trying to write some lyrics. Who wrote this song? And what about Snape? I’ll bet if he was headmaster longer and not during a war he would’ve changed it to something boring sensible. (here’s the whole song)

"Ienzo? We're ready to begin."

The young scientist looked up as he was paged, then pocketed his pen and grabbed his black-covered notebook. "I'm on my way."

'A dragon. We've captured a dragon!' There were precious few of the beasts these days, what with knights killing them whenever they surfaced, and this one was the first spotted in over 50 years. As he walked, sparks began to appear around him, a magical indicator of his excitement.

He reached the rune-covered cell that was to be the dragon's new home and looked in, making sure everything was correctly lettered. Then he took a deep breath and touched the activation rune. The symbols began to glow a soft blue, and he pulled out his walkie-talkie, stepping back out of the room. "All right. You're good to bring it in."

Faint squeaking could be heard down the hall, and after a moment, Even could be seen accompanied by two orderlies wheeling a gurney. He stood on his toes, trying to see the dragon, but was blocked by a sheet. They wheeled it into the room, and their bodies blocked his view as they removed the sheet and straps. Finally, they walked out, and Ienzo got a good look at it.

What he saw made his stomach drop.

'It's...no, he's my age?'
