Got bored and decide to make this for fun (andtofurtherputoffansweringasks) as I haven’t seen a post like this for any Mega Man iteration fandom, hope you all enjoy!

(Also, just a heads up, this isn’t meant to be an attack on anyone who ships any of the ships mentioned here, this is just meant to be a light-hearted joke, and as long as you don’t ship anything inc*stous, p*dophilic, or anything that romanticizes ab*se, I’m a-okay with it! And if your ship isn’t mentioned here, it’s because I couldn’t think of anything cool or funny to say for it. You’re more than welcome to come up with something for it in the reblogs though! I’d love to see what you all come up with!)

Aki x Ashley: Your ideal relationship dynamic is dumbass x smartass. Alternatively, you really like Spider-Man and/or Danny Phantom.

Man, I'm late for Valentine's, but oh well.

For all the Light x Wily shipping I see (which is a great ship itself, don't get me wrong), I've never seen any Light x Cossack shipping. But personally, I think there's nice potential here: both men are passionate about robotics and work to make a better future for humans and robots alike, and both men care deeply about their kids. They've both dealt with a lot of ups and downs (largely thanks to Wily), and I could see them really confiding in each other.

And we know that in the Megamix manga, Dr. Light helped Cossack to clear up his name and return to the scientific community after the events of Mega Man 4, so I like to think they really got to know each other during that time. Cossack, no doubt, learned Light is very much someone he can trust. ^^

Also, have a bonus Dr. Wily. He's...not thrilled about the news lol

marriage counselling would NOT fix them. largely because wily doesn't think he has issues keeping them at square 0 forever. but it would be Funny

also. tangential tangent:

I actually think about light's hands-off approach with wily's self improvement a lot. he seems to believe that reaching out over and over, that subtly exposing wily to the truth of their relationship (i.e. that light sees him as a dear friend [ahem] and equal) will simply. Fix whatever's troubling him. he places the responsibility of development squarely on wily's shoulders (good), but makes no real effort to understand him on a psychological/emotional level (bad). the closest he comes to doing so is in rm11, wherein he privately laments the impact his actions might've have had on wily's mental state/future behaviour, but, when confronting him, focuses on the possibility of rekindling their partnership instead.

when light says "we achieved this together" what he doesn't realise is that he's diminishing wily's personhood in a way. when light gives wily an opportunity to "join his side", he is, implicitly, apologising.

but he doesn't say sorry. he doesn't say that wily was right. this is perfectly normal, expected even, but important to me because imo wily only really registers this sort of thing when it's framed through the lens of explicit validation. if light can't bring himself to say it outright, wily is never going to listen. boulder meet hill.
