The Venkateshwara Group of Institutions Meerut hosted an interdepartmental Yoga competition wherein over 50 students took part.
The students of education, B.P.Ed, B Pharma, D Pharma, Polytechnic & B.Tech took part in the event.
The Honorable Founder President of Venkateshwara Group Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi & the Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh inaugurated the event by cutting ribbon & offering flowers to the portrait of Goddess Saraswati.
In his address, the Venkateshwara Group, Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated Yoga not only makes the student strong, confident & competent but also fosters their mental & physical development.
Yoga also plays a vital role in their character development.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted Yoga plays a major role in beautifying the mind, body & soul.
The Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, affirmed Yoga provides us enough energy to face all difficulties of life. We should spare some time each day for doing Yoga.
Rajni Kumari grabbed the first spot in the women’s category, while Riya Kanojiya stood second, followed by Laxmi Yadav, who came third.
In the men’s category, Rajesh came first, followed by Ashok Singh, who came second while Abhishek bagged the third place.
The College Management felicitated the winners by giving them medals & a trophy.
Finally, the Campus Director thanked the Principals Dr Sanjay Tiwari, Dr Nitin Raj Verma, Dean Academics Dr Abhishek Swami, Brajpal Singh, Deepak Kumar, & the Pharmacy Principal Dr Nidhi.
He recognized the efforts of Madam Alka Singh, Gaurav, Lalit Kumar, Pooja Sharma, Vidisha Chaudhary, Ravi, and all the officials and staff whose dedicated efforts made this event possible.
In the end, the Campus Director concluded the event by complimenting the Program Coordinator Mr. Abhinav Rana for successfully organizing the Interdepartmental Yoga Competition.

Reasi, Pouni: Government Degree College Pouni in connection with the Digital Week Celebration, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, to impart awareness about online services, organized a series of activities from July 25th to July 27th under the patronship of Principal, Prof. Rajni Bhagat. The event was organised by the Co-cirricular Activities Committee in collaboration with IQAC Committee. Prof. U S Liza, Convener of Co-cirricular Activities, and Prof. Balbir kumar and Dr. Varsha Kapoor, Convenor and Co-convener of IQAC, respectively, were the In-charge of this Digital Week Celebration. All the Faculty In-Charges and the Heads of the Departments were directed by Principal ma'am, Prof. Rajni Bhagat to promote and engage students in this campaign through Poster-making, selfie point, and Lectures. The event started on July 25th with Poster Making Competition on Digital J&K Logo in which a large number of participants came out with visually appealing and colorful posters. Priya Sharma and Meenakshi Sharma of semester 4th stood first. Aditi Mangotra, Anju Sharma and Aditi Sharma of semester 2nd secured the second position. On the second day, July 26th, College witnessed a large number of creative students coming forward and making the Selfie Point that took 4 hours to complete. The Selfie Point made by Shami Kumar, Balvinder Singh, Rohit Kumar, Balbir Singh, Anju Devi, Rimpi Sharma, Aditi Sharma, Vishali Sharma, Sonika Sharma, and Arti Jamwal attracted a large number of students and made the event really fun. On July 27th, Dr. Varsha Kapoor delivered a lecture on the Digital Initiatives in J&K, and On July 28th, Mr. Tanpreet Singh delivered a topic on the topic, "Sports and Digital Media." Dr. Varsha Kapoor acquainted the students with the Nine Pillars of Digital India and Provisions for the Common Masses, while Mr. Tanpreet Singh threw light on the difference between sports and games, followed by the Impact of Digital Media on Sports. Shri Venkateshwara University was the center of attraction at the 3 day National Summit of Institutional Leaders 2024 held at the University of Lucknow in Lucknow.
Dr Divya Girdhar Dean Mass Communication represented Shri Venkateshwara University at the summit attended by educationists, VCs, scientists, education officers, & Diplomats from all over the world.
Dr Divya Girdhar represented the University at the national seminar, guided by our Chancellor Dr Sudhir Giri, a renowned educationist.
The UP Chief Minister HE Yogi Adityanath Ji, Cabinet MOS for Education Mr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, & the UP Higher Education Minister Mr. Yogendra Upadhyaya, inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
MOS for Education Mrs. Rajni Tiwari, President of Vidya Bharti Prof. Kailash Chandra Sharma & the VC of Lucknow University Dr Alok Kumar Rai joined them to inaugurate the National Education Conference-2024’.
In his address the UP CM Yogi Adityanath Ji reiterated India is on top of the world for higher education ranking parameters. We need to integrate education with ethics, innovation and employment for India to become a world leader.
Madam Anandi Ben Patel, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, stated that India will become the second biggest economic superpower in the future. This will be achieved through a digital revolution, the use of artificial intelligence, and by integrating research into education.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated a nation whose youth are educated & empowered, nothing can stop it from becoming a developed nation.
Dr. Divya Girdhar stated that by implementing NEP 2020 and incorporating technology, educational institutions will have a vital role in achieving the Prime Minister’s vision of a Developed India by 2047.
She announced Shri Venkateshwara University has become the first private university in the country to fully adopt NEP 2020 in its curriculum.
The UGC Chairman Dr M Jadish Kumar, Prof. Anil Sahastrabudhe Chairman NETF, VC IGNOU Dr Nageshwar Rao, & the VC of Delhi University Prof Yogesh Singh also addressed the 3 day National Education Conference-2024’.
Dr Divya Girdhar received accolades from the University Management & officials, for strongly representing Shri Venkateshwara University at the National Summit of Institutional Leaders 2024.

There were 9 rounds and 30 participants in total both male and female. Different category and styles were designed and worn by our students in each round. All the participants were fabulized by Lakme Academy, Phagwara. In the filler rounds the contestants displayed great amount of enthusiasm by showcasing their talent in Dance and Vocals. A glimpse of Infinity also saw loud crowd cheer and applause during the show. It was well appreciated by our worthy Chief Guest, Jury members, Director Ma’am, Members of Management and other visitors. The students were judged by our worthy jury members Mr. Arjun (Designer) and Ms. Rajni saini (Event Manager). Winners were selected on the basis of design and creativity. Mementos for the Best Designers were given to Ms. Jaskaran Kaur (Student of B.Sc Fashion Design - IV) and Ms. Ramandeep Kaur (Student of B.Sc Fashion Design - IV). The Best Model- Female award was bagged by Ms. Reena (Student of BCA-II) and Best Model- Male Award was won by Mr. Gundeep Singh (Students of BBA-IV). Dr. Shelly Rekhi Sharma, Director, SHIMT congratulated the winner and said this event was an opportunity for the students to showcase their talent and latest trends on the Runway. All the invited guests expressed their delight and encouraged the students by sharing their journey of struggle. It was a delightful show and the audience had an enjoyable day. We honored them with a Shawl, memento & a medal for rendering outstanding health services & working day & night for the society.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, CEO Ajay Shrivastava, Abhinav Giri, & Dr Sanjiv Bhatt inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati at the Tivoli Imperial Resort.

New Delhi: The 5th edition of Dr. Sarojini Naidu International Award for Working Women brought light to the 7th Global Literary Festival Noida 2021 when one hundred prominent women were given award for their untiring contribution to the society from India and abroad.
The award was constituted by Asian Academy of Arts in association with AAFT University of Media and Arts, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and a powerful women organization called International Women’s Film Forum six years back in a board meeting to highlight, support and honor women who all have contributed to the nation through their services to different strata of life and works of humanity.
“Women is the store of Wealth be it an education, humanity, social science, love and affection, family bonding and so on. She is the master of overall development be it at home or outside, she is a motivator, her presence bring enthusiasm in life and she is the one who teaches Nationalism. I salute all the winners of the prestigious Dr Sarojini Naidu Award,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for SNIAWW.
“Females are the most beautiful, gorgeous creatures in the whole world. And I think that we are gorgeous no matter how we look like. You don’t have to play masculine to be a strong woman,” said H.E. Matsepo Molise-Ramakoae Minister of foreign Affairs and Internal Relations, Government of Lesotho in the capacity of Chief Guest of the show.
A strong woman is a woman determined to do something others are determined not be done,” said H.E. Jacqueline Mukangira High Commissioner of Rwanda to India. “Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness,” added H.E. Hayet Talbi Ambassador of Tunisia to India.
“We need women who are so strong they can be gentle, so educated they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational, and so disciplined they can be free” said Angelique Monet President of AFI World Peace Initiative “Once you figure out what respect tastes like, it tastes better than attention,” said H.E. Lineo Irene High Commissioner of Lesotho to India.
Dr. Divik Ramesh renowned writer was presented with Life Time Achievement Award by Asian Academy of Arts in the presence of Large audience he narrated his journey and thanked AAA.

*World environment day celebrated with verve in Reasi* _Series of activities mark the event at GDC Pouni_ REASI, JUNE 04: Government Degree College Pouni today has started a series of activities on the occasion of World Environment Day. Department of Environmental Science in collaboration with NSS and Red Ribbon Club conducted the first activity, an online intercollegiate poster making on June 4th, 2022 on the theme "Only One Earth" under the supervision of Prof. Rajni Bhagat, Principal GDC Pouni. A large number of students exhibited their interest and enthusiasm, and participated in the Poster-making competition with all zeal and fervour. The activity was conducted to motivate the younger generation who have the potential to be a Eco Warriors. Students made eye-catching posters referring to ecosystem degradation and present real time solutions to some of the challenges faced by the globe. Students showcased their skills and demonstrated the present-day scenario besides suggesting steps to preserve earth. Dr. Prem Singh, HOD Political Science, Prof. Balbir kumar, NSS Convener and HOD Economics, Prof. U S Liza, RRC Convener and HOD English and Prof. Bindu Sharma, HOD Environment Science organised this particular event under World Environment Day. Prof. Rajni Bhagat, Principal GDC Pouni addressed the students encouraging them to continue taking steps towards saving the planet. She also appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee members.
