I am SO excited to learn more about Breezepaw, Galepaw, and Dovepaw of ThunderClan 👀👀
Tumblr media
Due to his role in the Snare Incident, Brambleclaw was forced to step down from his deputy role by Firestar, who had lost faith in the tabby. This lead to Bramble and Squirrelflight breaking up. However, Squirrel was pregnant. That winter, she gave birth to one kit, Ivykit. A few days later, her sister...found...some abandoned kits, and Squirrel immediately adopted them. She was always honest about their origins (as far as she knew), and always assured each and every one of their worth. The four grew and prospered, but soon the spiritual Dovepaw had a vision - cats of each clan would join together to save the Clans as a whole. The siblings journeyed to Windclan, and met a certain set of siblings...
In the end, the Clans were saved, but not without losses. Firestar and Blackstar were dead, Brambleclaw killed by Snowtuft for joining the Dark Forest, and Doveflower joining Shadowclan to be with her secret mate (NOT TIGERHEART!!! THEY CONSIDER EACH OTHER FAMILY).
But the Chosen Cats are alive, and ready to face the future. Breezestar is joyously greeted by Starclan and Thunderclan. Ivytooth meets a loner named Fern. Pebblebelly adopts some loner kits. There is joy even in the mourning.

part one the warriors 👍
songstep is pretty optimistic abt the world dying around them. like cmon guys its fine we're still here we're alive and kicking :3 do not make him fish tho this guy never learned how to swim and is scared of water touching his fur ever
dragonflycatcher is nothing like his name. he's the oldest active warrior in the clan who's deaf in one ear. i mean he USED to be full of hope and energy but now hes just... tired. but feels like its his duty to be useful, so he keeps being a warrior
doveflower on the other hand is currently the youngest warrior. shes pretty nervous about the future of the clan but tries her best to keep herself in the present and focusing on tasks at hand: hunt food, add more support to the nursery dens, ask aloebud if they need help finding herbs. very down-to-earth with a little bit of anxiety on the side
I LIKE THEM songstep is sillies

The History of the Christmas Tree
By Susan Leigh Anthony
For the past six years I have worked at a wonderful, high-end garden center.  Among the many seasonal items we sell throughout the holidays are Christmas trees and a wonderful array of cut evergreens. Surrounded by this abundance of holiday décor, I began to wonder about where the idea of bringing the greens inside the home during the winter season originated. Although I had some sense that there was a connection to pagan solstice celebrations, I really didn’t know a whole lot more. I definitely felt compelled to learn more and ended up finding that the notion of decorating with greens reaches back much further than I had realized and there are countless facts and legends associated with the traditional use of evergreens.
The Christmas trees we put up and greens we use to festoon our homes each year evolved from very ancient traditions. The ancient Hebrews, Egyptians, and Chinese used evergreens to symbolize eternal life. In particular, the Egyptians used evergreens as part of their celebration of their god, Ra.
In my research, I have learned that Jews must never incorporate any symbols of Christianity in their celebrations. However, I also read the following which forms a connection, though quite distant, between the ancient Hebrews and what we now know as the Christmas tree.  The following is just one of several stories I read about Nimrod and Semiramus. “Two key figures in the origin of Christmas are Nimrod, a great grandson of Noah, and his mother and wife, Semiramis, also known as Ishtar and Isis. Nimrod, known in Egypt as Osiris, was the founder of the first world empire at Babel, later known as Babylon (Genesis 10:8-12; 11:1-9). From ancient sources such as the Epic of Gilgamesh and records unearthed by archeologists from long-ruined Mesopotamian and Egyptian cities, we can reconstruct subsequent events.
After Nimrod’s death (c. 2167 BCE), Semiramis promoted the belief that he was a god. She claimed that she saw a full-grown evergreen tree spring out of the roots of a dead tree stump, symbolizing the springing forth of new life for Nimrod. On the anniversary of his birth, she said, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts under it. His birthday fell on the winter solstice at the end of December” (Bibletools, 2019).
Saturnalia, the ancient Roman winter festival, honoring Saturn, the god of agriculture, is where we first hear of decorating the tree with pieces of metal.
“During the Middle Ages, the Paradise Tree, which symbolized man’s fall and salvation, became popular in churches and upper-class homes. Fir trees were hung with apples symbolizing man’s fall, small white wafers representing Holy Eucharist, and sweets symbolizing the sweetness of redemption” (Holiday Legends, 2003).

It is said that in the 16th century, Martin Luther was the first to add candles to Christmas trees after seeing the stars shining through the evergreen trees. He is also credited with bringing the Christmas tree indoors.
The following is a delightful tale from northern Europe. “When Christianity was spreading though Europe, three angels, Faith, Hope, and Charity, were sent to Earth to put lights on the first Christmas tree. Their mission was difficult because they had to find a tree as high as hope, as great as love, and as sweet as charity. The tree also had to contain the sign of the cross. The angels’ search came to an end when they found the fir tree of the frozen north. (If you break off a fir needle and look at the stub on the branch you will see the cross.) They lit the fir with stars to make the world’s first Christmas tree” (Holiday Legends, 2003).
Clearly, whatever the origin of the Christmas tree and greens, they have always been viewed as a symbol of hope and rebirth.
And here’s an odd fact behind the relatively new trend of hanging a Christmas tree upside down, which turns out to be a not-so-new idea after all. “Many early Christmas trees, usually firs, seem to have been hung upside down from the ceiling using chains that were hung from chandeliers/lighting hooks. This tradition goes back to the Middle Ages when Europeans did it to represent the Trinity. But now, Christmas trees are set up with the tip pointing to heaven, as some think an upside-down Christmas tree is disrespectful or sacrilegious” (The Spruce, 2019).
Tumblr media
In England, Christmas trees became popular after the London Illustrated News published a wood engraving of the royal Christmas tree on December 23, 1848.  The issue contained an engraving by Winslow Homer of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, five of their children, and a governess gathered around a decorated evergreen tree on a table full of unwrapped presents. The tree was lit with candles and was topped with an angel. The next year, royal or not, people in England began putting up Christmas trees. Other magazines started writing about the royal Christmas trees each year adding to the popularity of the tradition.
Tumblr media
In 1850, the Christmas tree phenomenon spread to the United States when Sarah Josepha Hale, who also wrote “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” published a similar engraving in her monthly magazine, Godey’s Lady’s Book. Hale “Americanized” the engraving – removing Victoria’s tiara, Albert’s royal sash and moustache, and the boxes of German biscuits from beneath the Christmas tree.
“The Godey’s engraving was one of the first widely circulated illustrations of a decorated Christmas tree in the United States, and it was soon followed by similar depictions in Harper’s and other major American publications. As a result, Christmas trees came into vogue in America as they had in England.” (Leoma Lovegrove, 2017)
And there you have it, some stories and legends to add to your own personal stories about the Christmas tree tradition.

Prompt VS Plot
1. Introduction 2. Contest Info 3. Plot 4. Prompt 5. Overall Difference 6. Outro Introduction
Hey Plotclan -Collin Here! This post will be for the contest that Plotclan is currently having. The prompt for the first part is: What's the difference between a prompt and a plot? If you guys don't know, i'm here to tell you what it is, but first, let me tell you what the contest is all about.
What's The Contest, Collin? Well, the contest is mainly about getting Plotclan more active and making things easier for the clan. Helps with apprentices and warriors so they could learn from their mistakes and learn more than they've already know. This contest lasts for about a month and there are three groups.  Group 1 - Led By Autumn   Group 2 - Led By Collin/Me   Group 3 - Led By Stonelily (aka my bae)   The first prompt ends tomorrow (October 9th,2017).   Now, Lets rooooiiiight into the action.
Plot
A plot is simply known as a summary. Its what the book is about or what the fan fiction is about. It shows great details to what is going on in the book/story. The plot shows what the character(s) are like and what they do. Plots tell twists and clichés to what will happen and the author could change up what the story was originally about while the prompt is one strict thing, but we'll get to that soon. Plots can give more description that prompts can as plots are a long summary with no dialogue. Dialogue is what makes a plot and story. A Plot is also used for past tense as it is a summary here's a short example of a plot - Spottedfrost was a young orange and white cat with yellow eyes and fluffy fur. She has a scarred leg and eye, but not blind with it. She has two sisters with the names of Silverstar and Woodkit. Silverstar is a silver she-cat with white on her back, dripping like its some sort of sticky liquid that's slowly going down; like slime. Woodkit was a young brown she-cat with yellow eyes and white paws. She sadly died as a kit by a fox. Spottedfrost was abused by her parents. Ivyswirl the father and Doveflower the mother. Snowsong adopted the three once she found out what was going on, but the clan didn't know, only the queens and elders knew what were going on. Spottedfrost had a mate with the name of Goldenburn whom she loved with all her might. She would do anything for him and been in love with Goldenburn since she were a kit. She had 2 sons and a daughter. She named them Stormkit , looks identical to her but male, Lightningkit, a black and yellow tom, and Dapplekit, a yellow tabby with a white chest and paws. Sadly, due to not getting enough strength, Lightningkit and Dapplekit died. Stormkit grew up to be leader of Flameclan but when he was an apprentice, Spottedfrost sadly passed away. She died by saving Goldenburn from a giant hawk at a gathering. Goldenburn moved on about a year later and had kits with a cat named Juniperspots. Juniperspots is a black spotted gray she-cat with light yellow eyes. Spottedfrost was angry at this and during the great battle, she killed Goldenburn and a kit of theirs. She was quickly named evil and turned into a dark forest cat, which she deeply regretted, but she never hurt any Starclan cats. Goldenburn soon died again in a fox battle by Adderflight, his first mate. Adderflight is a brown tabby tom and has yellow eyes. Goldenburn was a Starclan cat when he died the second time. Karma got Adderflight and the fox later killed him. Spottedfrost was devastated at the news and later she killed herself in the dark forest. Though, when cats die in Starclan or Dark forest, they get reincarnated to have another life. Spottedfrost was quickly named Dapplekit and Goldenburn Firekit. They learned to love each other again and Dapplekit became Dapplenose and became leader. Firekit became Firegaze as Dapplestars deputy.
Prompt
What is a prompt? Well a prompt is a small or detailed idea that a person or the author wants to write about. The prompt can be about anything and it could even be questions for a contest like this! Example - Question Prompt : What is allowed in WA? Demand Prompt : Create a post about how to make a warrior cat Story prompt: Hi! Can you please write a story about my two oc's Bumble tail and Fallow tail? They're forbidden lovers that are in two different clans and I want the leaders to find out about this. Please?
Overall Difference
Now, a plot is a summary about a cats life or about a story while a prompt is a question, demand, or request/story for something. Examples were given up above which shows which are which. As you can see, a plot is way more detailed and way more descriptive to what is happening in the story.
Outro
well that's all the time I have for today! I hope you guys learned about what a prompt and a plot is and what's the difference between the two.
                                                                                              Sincerely Me

YAYYY OK.
im calling them Waveclan and they are trying to survive the end of the world <3
camp is in a large islet surrounded by water to be safe from other dangers. but the problem is everything is dying bc of flooding after global warming. they dont really know this yet they just know it got unsafe and had to move because it slowly got warmer over the years and their previous camp slowly turned into nothing but dust
a lot of the cats are shorthair, patchy, or completely bald like sphynx cats. theyre technically a whole new breed of adaptive cats and arent recognizable at all to modern day longhairs (like ragdolls)
theyre also dealing with a potential famine because they recently apprenticed 5 new cats and Badgerleaf is nursing another kitten, and needs extra food to recover from birthing. the clan total is very small (19 cats total) with only 13 of them being able to actively hunt (since Badgerleaf, her kit, the 3 elders, and the healer cant) so they are definitely struggling
if this was a proper story i think this one cat called Doveflower would be the main character. but yea thats waveclan theyre so silly 👍 also the leader Sapstar is the worst hes so annoying god bless
VERY SILLY RHABK YOU FOR SHARING... tell me more about the cats themselves!!!! sapstar sounds fun
